Dear Joan
I hope you are feeling ok today and that your friend is getting on alright too.
Although the weather looks a little mis at the the moment I am cheerful that today has arrived as I have been waiting 2 weeks for a blood test to be done at the local surgery. I have the washing machine purring away with the settee and chair covers being cleaned so that is a job well done. I shall make some bread rolls. Nothing doing, that is anywhere exciting today and energy sapping, but that suits me fine
I hope one and all have something happen today to make them feel cheerful and lift their spirits.
Luv

I am cheerful today. My son passed his swimming gold yesterday AND did his homework without too much stress. My daughter ate a bowl of bran! And I have got a list of holiday respite care for my other son....
Off to the shops to buy more uniform as they are growing fast....

I am cheerful because I have just heard that my three grand-daughters are coming to stay for part of the Easter holiday. They are aged 12, 8, and 6, and great fun.
Mary, the 6-year-old, made us laugh yesterday. She said she had a problem, and when asked to explain, she said,'' Well, I've got two boyfriends, and I don't know which one to marry''.0 -
Hi Joan
How wonderful for all concerned.
What a dilemma! Perhaps your 6 year old grand daughter should be advised into not making too quick a decision. She has time on her side.

Hi Elna
Apparently one of the deciding factors is how well the boys' surnames go with Mary :!: She keeps trying the names out to see how they sound. I think she has just realised that women's surnames change when they marry.0 -
Aw bless! I suppose it complicates things at that age to be told, well, you can marry and keep your maiden name if you wish!!

Cheerful today, because off to physio, probably the last one, and later catching a couple of trains to go and look after my grand daughter for the afternoon. The rolls I baked yesterday will go well with the home made leek soup we shall have tonight. We do not get home until 7.45 after "gandad" who calls in on his way home from work to pick me up, has read his "little girl" a story before bed time and received a cuddle and good night kiss
Hope all have a good day,
Luv

Hi Elna
I hope you will have a lovely time with your grand-daughter.
I am off to my art group, which is run by my local group of A. Care. They are a great group of people, with a super teacher, so I am always cheerful on Wednesdays.0 -
Hi Joan,
Have a great day and it is the middle of the week on Wednesdays so quite a few people like that day!

Today's reasons to be cheerful, it did not rain whilst I was out this morning. Bought a cute little dress for my grand daughter for easter which was so reasonable Got the washing dry before the downpour this afternoon. Had a wonderful hours sleep this afternoon - did not sleep too well last night. It is the weekend. Hubby will be home very soon. Have been sent some really funny emails this afternoon My friend will be calling me this weekend to arrange for us to meet up for the day Fish and chips and beans tonight. Yum!
Hope you all have a good weekend
