I'm cheerful because it looks like daughter in law seems to be beating the Non Hodgkins. And in a few weeks she will be out of quarantine. There will still be bad days and good days like ourselves, but it will be good to see her out this summer, lets hope it will be a good one. She couldn't even go and sit in the garden last year.

Also cheerful because two daffodils have come out today.

and thirdly, am I aloud to have something else. I am cheerful that my grandchildren are all coming tomorrow.

Oh, sorry a fourth. It was good news about my ct scan was OK!

    PS I'm always cheerful anyway!

Exxxxxcellent. I'm so glad about your daughter in law, I hope all goes well for her. I hope she has more good days than bad and can get out to sit in the garden this year.
And so pleased that it was good news about your ct scan, brilliant.
And I hope you have a lovely day tomorrow with your grandchildren, I hope they spoil you.
And I also hope that you have a few more daffs out tomorrow.
love it. Have a lovely day tomorrow. x

    Hi Joan

To wake and see my hubby there by my side and his smile makes me very happy.

To see and talk to my little grandson, son and dil that makes me happy too. Knowing they are safe but enjoying themselves while my son is working out there.

Seeing the bulbs, tulips and daffodils coming through always brings a smile to my face.

This is a good thread. I am 6 weeks post op. I can ride my bicycle. I have a 120 degree knee bend. It started to rain so I am pleased I decided to put the washing in the tumble drier. It is Friday. I have had one hours nap and feel ready to tackle the chores now. I have done the Friday shopping and all is packed away. I am having a cooking day tomorrow. I shall be looking after my grand daughter for half a day. I see the knee consultant on Monday for my 6 week check.

I hope you all have a good weekend.

    Hi Elna
Envious that you can ride a bike. I keep thinking of having one and now my hips seem to be getting better...........

hope it continues to mend, certainly appears to be. I thought that about Friday, nearly put the washing out before I went into town, but then changed my mind and put itinto the tumbledryer. Hope you have a good Mothering sunday.

Spring is just around the corner.
My Oh has made me a contraption to plant seeds in the garden.
My eldest Granddaughter is doing really well in Spanish, despite not liking it one bit.
    No blood test this week.
    My ankle is healing well.
Think I had better stop there, but could go on,

    Hi Barbara,
I just love it when peeps have good things happen to them. Dont stop your list, we dont mind if you have more good things to list.
(I would like to know about the 'contraption' to plant seeds in the garden). I love gardening, but do struggle with certain things.

Hi Jay, dont laugh, it is just a peice of plastic pipe....I can stand up with it, I srape the ridges out with end of the pipe...and then slide the seeds down it...now the thinning out is another matter..may have to get OH to do that...

I know this a chit chat thread - but elna - what op did you have 6 weeks ago?

Re my reason to be cheeful - my lad has gone to a friends house for the night and I'm planning a pamper evening - long, long soak in bath, long chat on the phone, red wine and if I don't manage to sleep tonight it doesn't matter - I can snooze in the morning!!

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

    Hi there, :D

I had a total knee replacement. I have two new knees now but with this one, we are still making friends  The other one is just over 2 years old. Some days the knee is really cranky but I think I overwork it and then it pays me back big time for a couple of days :) I hope your evening is going well and that you sleep well but if not, as you say, you can have a lie in, on Sunday. :)

    Luv

My reason to be cheerful today is that it has been a wonderfully sunny day and my cats Widget and Alan have been helping me in the garden - all my little seedlings have started to take off at last! :D

    The sun is shining.
    It's our wedding anniversary.
We both have day off work.
and we're going to pick up a new car (well, not brand new, but newer than the one we have).
Then going for pub lunch somewhere.

cheerful...... I had a most enjoyable weekend. The sun is shining, I am off to see the knee specialist for my 6 week post op appt and as it is a journey of 3 trains each way shall make an afternoon of it. The blip I had for the second time with my knee since the op - my own fault - overworking it - is calming down and it will be a ready meal for dinner because I have already made up my mind that I do not wish to cook tonight :D

I hope you all have a smooth running Monday,

    Luv

I had a wonderful weekend, thanks to "My Boys", AND I`m getting a houseguest!!

My younger son has sold his house, and his new one is a long way from being ready, so they are having to rent for.......well, who knows how long. Chomsky - his chocolate Labrador - can`t go, so she`s coming to stay with me. She`s eleven next week and, although still very active, is well past that "daft" lab stage, so she and I will suit each other just fine.

Together with the lovely sunny weather, this is just the lift I needed. Someone is looking after me!........Ange.

Spent such a happy afternoon yesterday with a little person who finds everything so interesting and fun. We played in the wendy house, cooking eggs and eating them, building towers and knocking them down, whizzing cars up and down the room, squeals of laughter there, playing with buttons, shells, toy animals, puppets, dragging all the teddies and dollies out, some as big as her and putting them to bed, tickling belly buttons, seeing how quickly I could chase her up the stairs, looking at books, playing in the garden with the pebbles and her running to me and me picking her up and lifting her in the air. (No wonder my back ached a little this morning :) ). I had such a wonderful few hours looking at life through the eyes of a child. Today back to chores but the sun is trying to peep through and I think on to Sunday morning when I can have fun with her again. :D:D:D
