Isn't it lovely when you receive a PM or messages from a friend on here or by email:?: It cheers me up no end just to know that someone out there has been thinking of me enough to send me a message.

Off to to the ballet this afternoon, Sleeping Beauty. Last Saturday was afternoon tea with champers at the Landmark. It is great being 60, as the celebrations are still ongoing from December :grin:
Have to wait for my bus pass and pension to kick in towards the end of the year but am enjoying using my senior rail card

    Hi Elna

I hope you enjoyed the ballet. I wonder which company you saw. I go to watch the Birmingham Royal Ballet whenever I can as I love the ballet. Sleeping Beauty is always such a beautiful one to watch, so I am envious of you.

    Weekends!

I love my weekends - family time. My kids are growing up so fast and I know that soon they will be off doing their own things at the weekend but for now my family weekends make me so happy

    Hi Joan

It was The Russian State Ballet & Orchestra of Siberia. It was superb. They were performing in our nearby theatre for three days, Romeo and Juliet on the Monday. Swan Lake on the Tuesday and Sleeping Beauty on the Wednesday. I saw Swan Lake at the Royal Albert Hall last year (circular stage) and that was out of this world, truly magnificent.

Fantastic, Elna :!:  I have seen Swan Lake at the Albert Hall too, and magnificent was the right word. I'm going to see La Femme Mal Guardée at Birmingham in March, so I'm looking forward to that.

My son and his tennis partner have won the mixed doubles championship for Leicestershire. They have been awarded a trophy by Annabel Croft, the Wimbledon tennis player, tonight so I'm a very proud Mum.
