I went to see Cirque du Soleil Totem yesterday afternoon at the Royal Albert Hall. Wow, what a performance. Unbelievable. It was fantastic. Still reeling from it. So worth going and money well spent. My hands hurt from clapping so much.

    That sounds wonderful, Elna.

Tinks, I didn't know that you liked ballet. I'm a ballet fanatic, and I'm going to see Birmingham Royal Ballet in a couple of weeks. I love it :!:

Hi Tinks, you are so right, it does all go spinning around in one's head for days, weeks even. Joan, I know you will have a wonderful time. I would love to go and see more ballet than I do.

    hi tinkerbelle

it was me that was former ballet dancer - absolutely loved it! but unfortunately started with OA at 21yrs and had to stop, body can't take anymore punishment! still love going to watch and love the theatre too.

off to see Calendar girls at the theatre next friday with friends from work and i'm all excited already!

not seen Black Swan but it looks really good - I'm trying to persuade my hubby to take me to see it - if anyone has been let us know if its worth trying to sit still for 2 hours .

At last we are having a break from our wee man and does not come back until next Sunday. Whoopie that 9 whole nights free and days. Really looking forward to popping down to see my sister, going out shopping stress free, going put for meals and even dragging hubby to the pictures. After 4pm we only have to think about ourselves and our ones. Time for some me time.

    Hi Katie

I also studied ballet when I was young, but eventually gave it up when I went to train as a teacher. It has given me a life-long love of the ballet though, and I go to see Birmingham Royal Ballet as often as I can, plus any other companies I can get to see. I also love going to the theatre whenever I can.

I have seen Black Swan, and it's a very dark psychological film, but the acting is excellent and I loved the ballet in it. It does give an insight into the hard work and dedication which goes into ballet. It's well worth seeing.

One good thing has happened to us at last, our Daughter Toni and her chap Chris have come up from Newport to see us for the weekend.. Toni really misses the cats being down there so it was very hard breaking the news to her on Wednesday..

    It's lovely to see them..

I am uploading our LP's onto iplayer. Quite a task but very enjoyable and there is no hurry. It is taking me back years. It is great to go down memory lane. At the moment Manfred Mann, The Greatest, is playing.

Moustache - weird word, isn't it? It's on one of my reading tests and is most often interpreted as 'mouse-take' which is phonically logical. Thank you tinkerbelle, I'll be fine. DD

    Hi Tony,
What telescope do u have? I've 2 before but due to my gnarly fingers I have trouble with traditional tripod, so opted for the floor base Dobsonian.
Don't care if it's cloudy though, it will be worth it in the end!
    Take care Poppy X
