Hi Poppy, sorry I am just getting back to you..
It isn't anything proffessional as it is my first one. It's a vivtar, 60x120x
    If that makes sense...
Can't wait to go back up to Keilder Forest, never seen such clear skies..

    Happy space hunting

Our Daughter Toni rang her Mum from Wales this morning, told her that she was thinking of packing her job in  This is a job that we know she loves, so we were a bit taken aback and annoyed to be honest... Until she said that the manager of the store had sent for her to say that there is an events organiser job going and that she thought Toni would be perfect for the role. Basically at Valentine's weekend the staff were asked to come up with some ideas to do in-store, Toni came up with about six ideas and they used all of them, including getting one of the lads to dress up as Cupid and one of the girls to dress up as Aphrodite, Toni went home that night and made the costumes etc.... Last week she was told she had to go to one of the award lunches.. She was called up on stage and given a certificate for doing an outstanding job.... She was happy with just that, lol.
Now though, they seem to be so impressed that they really want her to go for this role.. She will have to go through the interview, but the closing date was actually last week... They have extended it just for her, and it is only 16hrs, no good to Toni so the manager said that for the right person she would make it 20hrs plus would find that right person 10hrs in admin too...
This is great.. She has only been there 15wks, 12 of which were her trial period, as soon as she had finished that they gave her her own department on George!!
If she gets it, which it does sound quite promising, lol.. She would be in charge of promotions etc, also will go out to schools and girl guides etc, promoting healthy eating etc, and will be liasing with the local council etc....
She will be getting to lunch with the manager on a regular basis.....
We are so proud of her...:grin:

Brilliant news about Toni :!:  She is obviously doing a great job, and I hope she will be successful. The job sounds very interesting, so I wish her very good luck in her application. No wonder you are so proud of her :!:

How fantastic Toni! You must be so proud! I'm sure all will go well for your daughter, companies don't bend over backwards to go to those lengths (extending deadlines) if they are not sure your girl is the right choice.
    Will be keeping everything crossed.
Off to look lovingly at my new Skywatcher...
    All the best Poppy X

Must get her brains from me   Well, she gets her looks from her Mum :grin::lol:

Baking rock cakes with my 30 monther, grand daughter yesterday morning. She made certain that the tin full of them was in the car before she left. Bless

Such a laugh on the phone today with daughter who went into work this morning and there was a terrible stench as she walked down the corrider, getting worse as she went into the office. Her thermos of home-made vegetable soup had exploded over the weekend and was everywhere including the ceiling. She spent 3 hours cleaning the ceiling and office with two cleaners who were just great. She is never taking soup in again. Near lunch time a colleague brought her in a tin of soup.

It is good to laugh

    Hi all,
Even though my knee and now my shoulder are painful and sore, today my Rheumy said I have funding to start Humira on 18/03/11 but best of all, I'm off tomorrow with my family to see my Grandma on the Isle of Wight, its where I'm from and I haven't been home since last August!

    Hi Poppy,

I am sorry to hear about your knee and shoulder but good news on the Humira front and as you say, the icing on the cake is "going home". I hope the sun shines for you. I like the Isle of Wight, we have friends there and I shall never forget the wonderful holiday we had there with our children when they were young at St Helens Bay. We stayed a week in a little house covered in seashells overlooking the green. The sun shone every single day. We all came home as brown as berries. Happy memories.

    Luv

I am cheerful today because I was carrying two long parcels under my arm to the post office and pushing my bike so I could get back quickly. Whilst trying to rescue one of the two parcels that was slipping I somehow tripped over my bike, fell onto the bike and onto my not good shoulder (at the best of times) and cut my left finger and my right thumb. Quite a lot of blood (thank goodness for tissues) but it could have been much worse. I am looking forward to my forthcoming foot operation, for a rest

Went to the opticians this afternoon, I need new glasses but all the others tests I passed with flying colours so that is good.

Oh Elna, how awful for you.

Hope you are not too bruised and stiff.
Glad to hear your good news at the opticians though.
