    Have been out and stocked up, can now stay indoors out of this rather wicked wind.

    Have a cuppa waiting for me and can consider where to start on my numerous jobs while I drink it.

    But I think a nice lie-down will win!

    :D:D Well, another very lazy day, so far and intend it to stay that way, for the rest of the day. :D:lol: I have a gruelling day tomorrow. My blood test result came back re anaemia and I still am, since the knee op. I have a good excuse to rest then :lol::lol: GP calling me sometime on Thursday to discuss. I will brave the elements later this afternoon to blow any cobwebs away. :D

    Hi Lynn :)

    Well it definitely blew all the cobwebs away around Elna this afternoon, the short while I was out. Bit tough on the old bicycle and me :lol: as the wind was blowing the wrong way! :roll: Always happens, that!

    I hope you can get some walking in over the next week. It depends how determined you are :wink::lol:

    Sun shone all morning, washing dried on the line, lovely.

    Have 3 more bags of rubbish/recycling to my credit this morning, and two more of clothes for the charity shop (I won't need work clothes any more - whoopee).

    Well done Rehab. Sometimes a simple job can turn into a job and a half. What's the weather like where you are?

    Hope you have a good Easter.
    I've now got to clear up after my grandsons have been, although the younger one decided he wanted to go back home. He's never been away from Mum before, but at nearly 6 years old, it's about time I think. I would like them to get use to coming here, so that my son and wife could possibly geta few days away on their own.

    Hi Joy, well it would seem that things have come to a halt, it's raining...I have to try and get the last of the potatoes in.
    It's always nice to have grandchildren stay over but even nicer to see them go back home :D I think the trick with kids is to do things with them that they normally don't get a chance to do at home. It has to be short, interesting and with a result.. cooking is always fun, let them break some eggs, if they make a mess? so what? Painting and playing with sand and water is messy but if you lay some sheeting down first the enjoyment for everyone is really good.

    If you have grandchildren enjoy them because they will enjoy you and will want to be with you.

    mix some corn flower with water and food colouring place in backing tray with edges and make patterns in it feels strange and good fun just washes away after

    Reasons to be cheerful today are a better sleep last night :) listening to loud music :D , roast dinner on the go :D visited my friend of 85 years and brightened her day :D , lots of emails sent and answered :D DIY started on the hall and landing - small steps but at least a beginning. Now to clean up the sawdust in the garage and the hall where Mr. H has been working :D The bottle of white wine waiting to be opened, in the fridge is the bait to keep me going :D

    Enjoy your evening, :)

    I got the Paolo Nutini CD for Mothers day and there is a song on there called ' Lead in my pencil' and the lyrics are full of reasons to be cheerful (Sorry wasn't that an Ian Dury Song??) Anyway there is one line and it goes " I've got food in my belly, a licence for my telly and nothings gonna bring me down". How fab is that?

    I’ve got a sheet for my bed
    and a pillow for my head;
    I’ve got a pencil full of lead;
    and some water for my throat
    I’ve got buttons for my coat; and sails on my boat
    So much more than I needed before
    I got money in the meter and a two bar heater
    Now it’s getting hotter;
    Oh it’s only getting sweeter
    I got legs on my chair and a head full of hair
    Pot and a pan
    And some shoes on my feet;
    I got a shelf full of books and most of my teeth
    A few pairs of socks and a door with a lock;
    I got food in my belly and a license for my telly
    And nothing’s gonna bring me down

    There's more, but this is the first part. You are right, it is good.
