Hi all
Sorry didn't get in yesterday. :? It was a bit of a blur to be honest.
Joan thanks for calling in, sorry for the long thread, can I still claim my hug please? I see you got lots to spare on CC for all of us weary and troubled peeps. They do help.
DD So sorry the flare not letting up just yet. Confess I got really worried when I saw you had not only declined the grape juice but had actually forgotten it!!. That really is poorly love, best keep off the pole dancing for now please. Have been thinking of you.
Toni glad you had a good time with Cris hope you have caught up with the washing and got the ironing to Elna ok. Wondering if she does home visits? My ironing mountain impressive here and am facing it on a what am I wearing tomorrow basis at the mo.
Ironic. just a boring day at Wonka's today though mad busy now for August BH so not much time for any dancing aniseed balls or the like. Hope you ok there.
Julie Thanks for the hug, welcome and lovely to meet you. Nice to see you posting here and there. Hugs and positive vibes really do help on here.
Annie hope the leg a little better today, haven't looked in the cafe yet, but is lovely to see you back. Take care love.
Iris, I am storing up everyones positive vibes and hugs bless you all. Really am needing them this week. Hope Wally manages some more small achievements soon for you both.
Elna, Sorry Lola been poorly, hope you feeling ok there. PS can I send my ironing special delivery perhaps! :?
Speedy, work is killing me at the mo! I think I am possibly outdoing Cris on the armchair duties at the moment which is so frustrating but evidently necessary. (Cris hope you are hanging in there flower and feeling better too.) I should have phoned in sick this week but am so afraid it would be the start of a slippery slope I just daren't. Hope you getting more mobile with evey day there Speedy.
Will try and have a wander round the halls before I crash. There is an 'ouch' and a 'damsel in distress' I must try and get too at least and no doubt others too. Thanks again for all the support. I am actually getting my head together to do those things I should be doing to plan ahead for whatever!!! Unfortunately feel so damn rough with the cold, sore throat and currently locked knees I am actually glad I have a doc appointment on Thurs even with the useless one!!
..... Yes I did say that and I haven't had any grape juice either!!!!.
love and hugs to you all. ((((( )))))
Chris xx0 -
I have. Half a bottle to be precise and I don't think I'm done yet. You take care: you need your strength for tomorrow and Thursday: re Thursday, please, no skinny jeans. It is asking a bit much of us that don't bend that well! DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

DD
We must be psychic was just posting on your thread. Don't worry I promise to leave the skinny jeans at home this time. Actually I think they may be on Elna's ironing pile along with half a dozen other pairs of jeans. It's what I live in most days. Hope she doesn't mind?
I'll have a large shopping bag so there will be plenty of room for anyone who is free. Plenty of space for Toni's snow plough and brie butties!! along with my "must not forget list of questions". We are forecast heavy rain so maybe the CAB queue won't be quite so long, every cloud as they say! Think positive eh! feel like a wet lettuce but the mind is trying hard here. :? I keep repeating, I will not wimp out and stay in bed, I will get up early enough to revert from ironing board status to mobile enough to get on a bus at a ridiculous hour to go and queue in the rain. Only the English eh!!
Me armchair is calling, have a good night all if you can.
Chris xx0 -
Your mind is trying hard. That is SO important. You know we will be there in spirit. If rain is forecast then hopefully the wimps will give it a miss. You are not a wimp. Take care. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Chris, all the best of good luck for tomorrow.........just think of the satisfaction with which you will be able to dive under the duvet tomorrow night...........even if the result is another appointment, then at least you have kick started something into action.
Rain? Stick on your best British stiff upper lip!

Hi Chris,
Will be with you tomorrow rain or no rain. Sorry the cold is still lingering on. Have a good rest tonight. Have everything crossed for you.
Do not forget your list
Lv, Ix0 -
HI Chris,
well count me in for pocket/bag duties on Thursday, though I may have to leave you mid morning since I am seeing the rheumy nurse thurs am too
hope that you don't get the rain, that you feel on top of the world first thing in the morning, that the queue is non-existent & that the CAB can offer you some proper help this time.
OH, and good luck with the 'useless one' ..... I'll be in your pocket for that one too!!!!
hugs

Hi Chris, stick with your plan - whatever the weather ... and with a bit of luck that queue will be shorter!! Take a nice warm drink in a flask and wear your best wet weather gear if necessary!
SpeedyI have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.0 -
Hi Chris
Are you in the queue???
Is it raining???
Glad you decided to avoid the jeans - they get so heavy in the rain....
I am with you in spirit - if not in person and hoping you come out with a plan
Love and hugs

I am with you on this DD, it is TOMORROW, how could anyone get the day wrong. Thursday is engrained on my mind anyways, as I have a busy day every week on that day!
DD you are not usually wrong. Hope you are ok.

Will definitely be thinking of your dear Chris tomorrow. Your skinny jeans are all beautifully ironed and been collected. See, you cannot use that as an excuse, "cannot go out, got nothing to wear".
All the very best my lovely for tomorrow. See it as an adventure, with a nap inbetween the CAB scenario and the GP appt and we will all be waiting to hear how it went, those of us that are not in your pockets, handbag, carrier bag.
Chin up,
Luv

Hi Chris,
Hope all goes well tomorrow, I will be in your pocket next to a brie sarnie!! Pooey!!
Anyway do your employers know about the Disability Discrimination Act? All you have to do is mention it and watch the colour drain from their pathetic faces!! Sorry I was in Personnel until recently!! No matter how small the organisation is they have to allow you time off, including holidays if it is something you have had for years - Its called an unwritten rule. Meaning if you have always done it they cant change it without a 90 day consultation!! Which they wont bother with cos its too much hasstle!!
Anyhoo! Put the kettle on and tell us what happened hun. It makes me so angry! GP's, bosses, unhelpful people! People think they can walk all over us - well they are WRONG! sometimes!!!

Hi lovely peeps
Just in from work but hope to call in properly later and see how you are all doing. Apologies if I caused confusion re the day, I have been a bit brain dead so may have misled some of you.
Yes indeed as someone noted, I generally work Mon to Wed so queuing at CAB  and useless doc day IS tomorrow, Thursday. Bless those of you for turning up and having a dry run here. I did rashly make a promise somewhere on this thread and I won't be letting any of you down after all the encouragement here and elsewhere.
Lynn, Sppedy, the coughing in the queue a good idea and one with which I shall oblige whether I want to or not!. :?
Hope to check on you all later.
Until then thank you hugs coming your way

What about passing wind??
That can be quite effective at clearing queues....
(clears throat) erm, so I've heard anyway0 -
