Well, my sense of taste has gone, even water tastes odd; despite trying lemonade, Lucozade, etc the only thing that is not too bad is black coffee with one sugar; the only trouble is I have to drink 3 1/2 litres a day minimum to keep kidneys flushed. As for food just snacking. Apart from that just left with mild headache and lethargy so that is not too bad at least the stuff is working. Have a good day all.

The ice is thick out there brrrr...!

Joan how right you are everything is going up! Including our blood pressures. I did indeed sleep in our bed!! Bliss it was (Sleek was happier too) I changed the sheets - even the mattress protector and aired the room all day before remaking it.😊((())) xxx for you and Sue.

Morning Toady. Another really chilly day here. Will we get outside? I do hope so we deserve it and have waited for EVER it seem😕 2 Montys to watch oh the bliss of it Val and Dave did rather have a lot I am most covetous. You're right he was fit. I LOVE walls and gates walls and gates are fabulous. Even my fake gate which only hides something is fabulous. My friend bought her wife a sentry shed for her birthday one year. I reckon they look lovely, but are probably a huge waste of money. If you could get one made I think that would be far better. Inside the house? Why not? You can do whatever makes you happy it's your house.

You turned out a drawer? Oh no! I have done nothing😯 went here there and everywhere with Paul in the van yesterday which was lovely and I got a mcplant and a posh coffee too😋Today he is going to Hednesford Hills (very near me) to watch the formula 1. His tests went from dark red to pale to almost invisible to clear in 4 days. Day 12 before it was clear again which is quite a lot. Now from 1st April we are allowed out after only 5!!!!!!! No way was Paul clear on day 5.

I have rabbits and pheasants regularly - sometimes a fox but he stays a fair way away. Hedgehogs have been seen and I see deer on my walks reasonably often if l go early enough. The most bizarre though was about 3 years ago when I woke to to a herd of cows in the back garden. They made a right mess they have 4 feet each😫 We don't have bats although a lot of people here do and no owls sadly. How lovely (spooky) for you to hear one!

Rylan sounded so adorable and really perked me up, but that was it all finished now sadly. Till next year.

Morning Reshmi. Well done going for your walk albeit a small one mine was small too only 17 minutes! A little rest is better than nothing I agree with you.

I do hope your Mum is doing ok and is comfortable. I can imagine she needs your help, but DV would be maybe because she can't tend to him. Watching cricket? If it keeps him quiet maybe not so bad. I do hope today is a bit better. Not helpful as your excess family probably can't visit until they are all clear of COVID. Good news that the boys are still well and didn't catch it. I know a visit from them would do your Mum the world of good. Still she has you to support her I know that is helpful.

You put the crisps back? Wow you deserve a huge round of 👏 Not something I would find easy to do. The breakfast was a bit much for post MTX, but the chips were for Mike post chemo! A bit of sweetcorn is better than crisps or chips or pasties. sigh.....

See you later for our walk.

Morning Mike I hope you still feel ok today? I do really have everything crossed that you continue to cope as well as you have up to now. Eat whatever you fancy when you want it. For now you need to be strong. This week will be your 'rest' week then the week after your 'good' week then the next is preparation and chemo week. You'll soon get into the swing of it. I bet Vixen was happy to have you at home not at the hospital all day. Sending ((())) xxx

Morning Barbara i am very pleased to hear Mr B is walking more now even if he is in pain. Does he appreciate that the pain is only post op pain not bad joint pain?

Ouch staples out😯 I don't envy him, but of course you need the DN! You can't get him there?! You are lucky to have the GD nearby for those dreaded Ted socks! Are they green? Lucy had green last time.

Bless Niamh coming to see you both. Soon she will be able to make him a bacon butty.☺️

Not heard from Jason since his fall I should hope he is feeling a bit better by now although his other condition won't be helping will it?

Love to Arthuritis and Jason too if they pop by and woo-oo to Lilymary too.

Kitty me duck I hope you are doing ok and things have settled for you?

Look at Tommy and Lucy's Winnie (Sleek and Mrs Darcey chaperone)

    Awww!

I can't believe we are in April already at least now it shouldn't be too long before Chris hears from the Dr.

You will be ringing your Dad today I am sure I hope he is behaving and well.

    Love to everyone

Morning everyone, BBBRRRR Just went out to chuck summat in the bin and it's CODE as we say in Nottm.

Mike, well done on your first chemo, and I'm sure your taste buds will get back to normal eventually. What regime are you on?

Barbara, I'm pleased to hear that Mr B is walking more, he will soon find it easier.

Reshmi, I'm sure you are looking after mum very well, you obviously have lots of patience.

Jason, I hope your rib is healing nicely.

Antoinette, how cute is that, tails touching. They need the chaperones! Dad is fine thanks, we reminisced about dad's motorbike days and tripd out in the sidecar. Yes, a week on Wednesday we should hear something

Sending hugs to Joan, Toady and Arthuritis.

    Roast savoy cabbage with orzo

    • from Olive Magazine

A great vegan alternative to the classic Sunday roast, plus there’s minimal washing up as it's all cooked in one tray. Choose harissa for a spicy kick, or tomato pesto for a more rounded, umami flavour

    Ingredients

    • 1 large savoy cabbage, cut through the core into 8 wedges
    • 2 tbsp olive oil
    • 100ml white wine (vegan if needed)
    • 750ml vegetable stock
    • 3-4 tbsp harissa or tomato pesto
    • 300g orzo
    • 200g spinach
    • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
    • 50g pitted black olives
    • 50g artichokes in oil, sliced
    • 50g sundried tomatoes, sliced
    • a bunch parsley, dill or chives, snipped
    • parmesan (or vegetarian alternative), to serve (optional)

    Method

    • STEP 1
    • Heat the oven to 220C/fan 200C/gas 7. Put the cabbage wedges in a large roasting tray (at least 5cm deep) with lots of space around each wedge. Drizzle over the olive oil, season well and roast for 25-30 minutes or until the wedges are lightly golden and starting to turn tender.
    • STEP 2
    • Remove from the oven and pour in the wine. Leave to sizzle in the pan for a few seconds, then add the stock and harissa or pesto. Sprinkle in the orzo around the cabbage wedges and mix well until submerged. Scatter over the spinach and cover with foil. Cook for another 20 minutes.
    • STEP 3
    • Add the lemon juice and zest, olives, artichokes and tomatoes. Stir well, mixing the wilted spinach into the orzo, and cook for another 10 minutes, uncovered if the orzo is tender and the stock has been absorbed, or covered, adding 150ml more stock, if the orzo is still firm to the bite. Sprinkle over the herbs, then top with parmesan if you like, or more lemon zest.

Sleek and Kitty hold a tea party for thei friends.

Just a line (says she, it doesn't usually turn out that way) - very cold morning so in the end I went out for a walk just to see if it was warmer outside than in, was absolutely perished inside - then the afternoon turned sort of warm and almost stuffy 🤨 very odd weather. Poked about a bit outside, weeded a bit swept up - watered a couple of things, nothing more grand than that. Mind you had a shocking night's sleep (I'm sure I passed Barbara on the way to the kettle round 3am but was too half-cut to have much of a chat, sorry Barbara 😴 ) hopefully get off early & off to a better start tomorrow.

Hope everyone's Sunday not too bad - frog was it just too cold to do much or did you have the better-afternoon bit too - hope Paul enjoyed his freedom 😊 and the racing. Yes it's a shame about the owls 🦉I do get bats flitting over late summer but don't know where from. Other than that just a rare squirrel - or a heron turns up once in a while, not in the garden though. Cows, now that won't do your garden any good, well they could compact the soil I suppose 🤔😂 ooer! Yes the little shed will go on the looks nice but don't buy list, like the walkaround greenhouses at the other end of the price range (well the best part of £1K) that they market as being an advantage that you don't/can't go inside. Well each to their own I suppose but put umpteen badly fitting bits together myself for a glorified fancy cupboard, no ta. Actually there is a house around the corner here on the market with a proper potting bit built on, oh I want.

Hello Kitty yes very code! Oh to be at the cat's tea party, lovely things and warm enough for off the shoulder gowns 😍 yes please. xx

Love to Barbara, hope things going along ok and the hosp. is going to mobilise the District Nurse for you, well done Mr B keep up the walking 🚶‍♂️👍️

Hope bosh getting on alright and sorry most of the helping is falling to you, hope to hear it hasn't been non stop and you've fitted in some rest for yourself xx

and hi to Mike hope you can find enough ways to top your fluids up (any luck with ginger/herb tea type flavours 🤔) and that the side-effects are still mild x

Love to Joan and have a good week (I can't read my own writing let alone understand what I meant, good job I type my letters to people!)

Have a good night all xx

Hey Toni how are you today? Oh no you had ice! Poor you has it all gone now? did you get black ice as well? I see the chips were for Mike post chemo fair enough, lgood luck with the chemo by the way Mike. yes sweetcorn is definitely healthy and tasty it was a bit rough on my stomach tho but nvm I’ve got an opticians appointment tomorrow just collecting spare glasses mainly but I’m not quite sure if I’ll manage to go yet I think I have to stick with the dry toast regime as I call it and if my stomach is more or less okay I’ll just go there and back not dilly and dally in the town centre purchasing pasties or cakes, lol, today was a lot better than yesterday T thanks for asking managed to have a shower and a walk and do all my moisturising in time which definitely helps my back was feeling really good yesterday odd thing isn’t it really the old back pain? Of course we do physio as best as we can but climate is something we can’t control ☹️ never mind. I bought a very small portion of choc today when I went outside that was before the stomach played up obviously and that was quite a good thing for me because there was no temptation to over eat because it was like a kiddie sized one not a bad idea idea really that’s quite a breakfast there though I think even bill would struggle to finish that one hope your day went okay apart from the weather ? did you have to drive Lucy to work in the ice ? oh dear I hope not okay I’ll go now because I’m getting pretty shattered I hope you have a nice evening and take care. hi toady how are you today? I must confess I haven’t read all the messages today because it was such a busy one for me but I hope you’re doing well and your stomach is not feeling too bad bye for now. Xx

    Morning everyone!

Gosh it's chilly this morning even though it's nowhere near as chilly as it was. It's wet outside not icy, but i feel so cold!

Morning Joan I hope you and Sue are doing ok? You will not believe it but my lovely neighbour (him) got to Church yesterday not even a week after surgery. The Dr was amazed everyone was amazed! I did indeed get my coffee and then Paul went to the car racing after lunch. Near Kari's so local. Today he is working at our prison the one Rolf Harris was in? ((())) xxx

    Morning Kitty

The girls hosted such a lovely tea party didn't they? Sleek and Mrs Darcey like it 'just so' the youngsters got into it too dressing up appropriately - and please do not worry plenty of chaperoning went on.😉

I wonder whether Paul might like that Roast savoy cabbage with orzo. He isn't keen on pasta, but loves his veg so might be an idea....thank you i think it sounds 😋 yum.

How lovely walking down memory lane with your Dad like that Sleek is so excited to hear he had a bike like she has. Her side car rattles quite a bit like Olive's on on the buses did your Dad's?

My parents had one too although my dad had a bubble car a Messerschmitt when she first met him.

Toady it was dreadful yesterday although sunny it was bitterly cold here. I went out, but didn't do much and not for long. I planted all my salad leaves (some seeds rather out of date, but we shall see eh?). Potted tomatoes on and the geraniums too. Did a tiny bit of weeding and pruning then gave up! At least it was too cold for teh noisy neighbours. Today it is wet so must be milder.

Today the second coat of paint goes on the garage floor I am dreading it the smell last time made us feel quite ill. I won't be here when the decorator arrives I am taking Tia into work while the car is being fixed.

A proper potting shed attached to the house?!! Yes perleassse!!!! Imagine that no need to go out at all 😊 any weather....sigh....Nope no pretty sentry boxes for us. The cows did a terrible job though luckily they were mostly down at the greenbelt end. The farmer put an electric fence up then although they were sheep much much lighter although their 'paws' can still make knobbly holes.....

Might watch Monty again if it stays like this 🙄

Mike how are you today? Lucy enjoyed some odd drinks when she was on chemo. Usually fizzy(ish) Rubicon was one and an expensive ginger one fentimans maybe? and they did a dandelion and burdock too. Now you can buy a pink lemonade with ginger in it that would have gone down well. Milky drinks tea and coffee she went right off. Sending my usual strength ((())) xxx

Morning Reshmi how are you today? How is the neck doing? I hope still ok with your physio and Ipad trick. Gosh it was cold for my walk (black ice yes early on) so another super short one for me.

How about your Mum? All well there? Eye drops every 5 minutes I expect, but she has done well bless her soon have 20:20 vision again. Talking of eyes I hope your glasses are there for you today this time. Dry toast is the very best idea you will manage it you always do and at least you won't even be tempted by anything naughty to eat.

Did you say you have a new back pain? I don't like that (almost) happy with my usual one, but not a new one that is quite scary isn't it?

I do have to drive lucy to work whatever teh weather although it it's thick snow Paul helps if he can otherwise i get a taxi I just am too scared.

Right better go I am now taking Tia into work this morning her car is being fixed!!!

Will be back and am making porridge

    because I am code!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi toady how are you today? it is indeed a very odd weather I’m not doing too badly thanks got more rest today which was good Mum is also more or less okay, she seems more settled anyway and she said vision is improving so those are the main things.I hope you’re having a good day today I’m not too bad thanks a bit stuffy in the house like you were yourself lol, I did manage to avoid eating rubbish in the town centre which was good, my stomach seems to have more or less settled thanks for asking take care xx

hi Toni black ice oh no that’s not good at all how are you today? I got more rest today which was good thanks neck is not too bad but all I meant about the back is that it seems better on some days and i can’t always figure out why yesterday or the day before was a really good day minimum back pain but today it’s sort of gone back to its normal self which is okay but don’t worry it’s not a new pain it’s just the same kind of nagging pain more than anything else, nothing remotely excruciating but thanks for asking 😄. Oh dear I’m doing a kind of partial from memory message but my memory may have flown out of the window let’s hope it doesn’t get eaten by cats, lol, my mum is not doing too badly thank you she seems to have settled and she said vision is improving now she has eyedrops every few hours roughly not five minutes. She is a very strong and fiercely independent woman who does not like to ask for help but I’m helping her as much as I can sensitively. Dry toast regime seems to have worked so went to opticians it was raining so I didn’t hang about too long also was trying to eat sensibly and not tempted by chips marinated in espressos Or prawn - flavoured chocolate fondant milkshakes or whatever it is that Bill is consuming these days, lol. Did you manage a walk today Toni? I couldn’t due to the optician business but was still good to get out of the house. There was Chaos at the opticians they were millions of people waiting around so I kept my mask and my gloves on but I don’t really like congested areas - makes me nervous because of Covid situation, a wide variety of people, including apparently new born babies - good job LA wasn’t there or he would’ve demanded free chocolate cupcakes with his reduced price specs, now that’s an idea, lol, okay I’ll go for now, hope that Lucy is not doing too badly today and I will chat to you again tomorrow, Take care. Xx

Hello people :) hope we are all as well as possible today things seem fairly steady in here although no Mike, hopefully he is just lying low so to speak.. no Kitty either as yet.. hello to both if they call in.

Frog much the same sort of day for me as yours yesterday, few bits & pieces, then just some indoor chores. Glad it wasn't for icy for you to drive Tia but wet, no thanks either, for choice - it comes to something if as you say we have to offset bad weather against quiet neighbours, that burst of fine weather brought all the power tool brigade out. It's the fact that every last job involves something like that, no-one can even hose down a path or clean off a table without a pressure washer. 🙄 So sorry you're having the icky paint smell again, I presume the 2nd is the last coat, but it does sound awful. I love your Dad's car 😊 we should all just have something like that it would be so cool and also no one-upmanship of ever bigger cars. Hope your slightly out of date seeds are still 'goers' 🌱 the stuck-inside clematis looks like it has a touch of powdery mildew, not entirely surprisingly, so will have to go out somewhere asap. I also must clean out my zinc 'bath' as it leaks but slowly so would be quite good for pots of something that don't mind wet feet on & off. My gardening order is due tomorrow; I had a refund email this morning & was a bit horrorstruck as when I make an order like this it takes me lots of planning practically involving differential equations just to decide the right items/quantities so I did not want my perfect proportions upset 😂 but luckily just a small missing item.

Hi bosh not a bad day for me thanks and glad you finally could pick up the specs surprised it was so busy, was it just the opticians or just a lot of people about. Great that your Mum says her vision is improving :) she must be glad to have got it over with and hope she finds a really helpful difference. What sort of follw-ups are there for something like that? Hope all's not too bad at HV in general and your back not too bad, things that are variable are v difficult to get the measure of aren't they especially if you want to plan stuff. Have a good evening x

Joan a touch warmer today but not much sun around, it seems to have got late today very quickly too so there won't be much left anyway! Hope things ok with you & the dogs& that Lexi has been fine since her last trip to the vet. One of my cats used to hate going, probably not as much as the vet dreaded her coming! (she once bit me as I was helping hold her) - the other was good as gold and so unbothered.

Hello Barbara 😘 if your shed has held up that long it hasn't done badly, that's about the lifespan you'd expect for a little one really 😊 I was put off by people saying theirs was very thin wood and warped in 5 minutes. That's a handy looking storage bin it was a bargain was it (you have a nice Kent & Stowe rake too I see 👌). I don't actually keep much in my (also blue) shed it's long past its best & I wouldn't trust the floor very far 😂 I have a sign in the window saying 'Sorry We're Closed', that I will post (but that's just closed to people/nosey neighbours, the mice etc are welcome - they shelter underneath, and the occasional frog or newt). Hope the staple-removing goes smoothly whenever it is, if I see you around the cafe in the early hours I will bring secret Jaffa Cakes 😉

Hello Kitty too xx hope things not too bad with you today

Morning everyone another rainy day so far. I cannot wait to open the garage door to let some of the paint fumes out that way🙄 I've done it already it was too smelly to wait for daylight. Once I got back from dropping lucy off I thought I'd take the chance I need to open the front door too but that will just have to wait..

Now we didn't hear from Mike yesterday. I know because even if you don't post Mike you 'like' or 'thank you' so I know you are alright. I do hope you are doing ok. At least Sue will be with you today, but will you fancy a cake l wonder🤨I hope so. Take care Mike we are all here thinking of you sending ((())) and strength xxx

Morning Joan thank you Paul was very happy to be back at work even if his first day back was in a prison😁You are right about my neighbour he is missing his wife although their sons are all taking it in turns to stay with him so he doesn't have to cook his own meals. One of them is a chef! How are you and Sue doing? ((())) xxx

No 😺 Kitty😕 Sleek will be over later to make sure you are both ok. She is keeping an extra eye after last week's flare. She may bring Tommy again as you say he is doing well with his nurse training.

How is Chris doing? Behaving l hope? Is he code? I am probably because it's wet outside and looks cold. the temp was actually 9 degrees in the car on Sunday it was 0 so it's mild.

I am going to do muffins for breakfast like they do at maccies with eggs and mushrooms just for you. Take care Kitty ((()))

Morning Reshmi how are you today? Raining again so will we walk? Not sure at all, but we need to if it stops at all I think mid morning is our best bet. I am glad you back has settled won again now. Nagging pains are still not nice so you have my sympathy.

Very good helping your Mum just enough so she doesn't feel deskilled well done subtle support just enough😊 I am so glad she can already 'see' an improvement in her vision. It's wonderful what they can do for us isn't it? We are so lucky these days.

Well done getting your new glasses even if it was very crowded not nice, but with your mask and gloves you should be fine I am sure. Babies? there were babies? LA!!!! imagine if he did ask for cupcakes with his new specs🤭 the dry toast did the job for you that is good. We thought it would and well done not being temped by prawn layered chips with american pancakes and maple syrup on top😁 Whatever you do don't let BIL cook for you you would be in agony for days! How are they all? Over COVID and boys still well?

Lucy is still doing well thanks and enjoying work which is great.

You take care now I hope HV remains dormant for today ((()))

Barbara I like it! It is a sentry box chances are if it's lasted 10 years it's a better quality ones than the ones they are producing now. My friend bought one for her wife maybe 2/3 years ago and it's already too battered to use. You are a proper bargain hunter buying things off market place👍️

I am very pleased to hear of Mr B's progress bless him he is doing well really. Just steadily I am worried my neighbour will overdo it. Is he in less pain now?

Well done booking the DN he will feel better once those staples are out . I am very glad to hear staples are easier to get out than stitches.

Things have deteriorated so much haven't they in 4 years it was happening before COVID though. OUr rheumatology apts had been reduced to yearly and diagnoses were taking longer even before the pandemic.

Good morning Toady rained all day yesterday so I did housework and ironing instead watched some old Monty's while I was ironing. The decorator was here in the garage painting the floor with that lethal stuff again. The fumes🙁make the word spin.

If you even get the chance and see a hedgehog in the garden I would love to see a pic. I am trying to get them into mine with the pond for example. The moles are busy at the green belt end here they seem worse in rain probably the worms raise to the surface. Sleek has caught two (moles) in the past, but not recently i think they are too much effort and she is getting older.

Oh yes the neighbours do get noisy in good weather. They do love their power tools🙄 though i am not going to complain too much after what we did last year when we had our garden 'done' we must have been the most annoying neighbours ever😳

How terrifying when you get a refund😥 noooo! I am so pleased it was nothing too important they hadn't got in stock at least. It's just you so look forward to what you've ordered the disappointment can be too much! Photos of zinc bath might be good???

I do hope your clematis will be ok yes outside I think an dif needs be pop a bit of fleece over it if we are due a frost. It's warm and wet again today. I might brave putting out my sweet peas now and do the same. the birdies are outside making a right racket isn't it just lovely?🐦️

Do you love my car then? She is much smaller than an average car, but you know I might just be tempted by a bubble car....there are a few cute electric ones out, but I like the old wrecks!! Cars these days are far too big too big for carparking spaces, garages and our lane🙄Oh gosh I'm off again grumpy old woman I am!

Right love to Jason and Arthuritis.

Morning, sorry I didn’t visit the cafe yesterday. But I arranged for my neighbour to do some washing for me. (Another job I can’t cope with). She washed it, dried it and folded it bless her. I did pay her to cover the cost of electricity etc.

Antoinette, I am enjoying the muffins with eggs and mushrooms thank you. I sprinkled some grated cheese on top. Delicious. I have a little job for Tommy, he can vacuum the living room. Not strictly nursing, but necessary for my lung health.

    Everyone keep safe and well.

Hi t how are you today? I’m not too bad thanks back is not that great really thanks for asking though it’s not constant pain but certain movements are bad I think the prob is sometimes when it’s too warm i rest of the spare room bed which doesn’t have a great mattress, but it’s better than not resting at all, I’m having some nasty twinges at times, but it’s okay atm I think it will be better tomorrow morn after resting on my own bed and having painkillers. Did you Have an okay day today? mine was not too bad really apart from bit of hayfever and hayfever related psoriasis I used to take antihistamines but I think they make me drowsy sometimes and also so make my skin dry up so I’m just sticking with the eyedrops but I’ve almost run out of those nothing simple is it? I don’t know why the Opticrom eye drop bottles so small probably a moneymaking tactic indeed other than that everything is not too bad thank mum is feeling better she doesn’t like resting she’s not a naturally lazy person unlike my dad, lol, everyone else is more or less okay thanks I’ll prob go into more detail in my message to T instead of repeating too many times I know what you mean about planning I think you’ve hit the nail on the head there because it’s terrible isn’t it when people don’t really understand about our arthritis and think maybe we’re just lazing about or being moody at least that’s the experience I’ve had sometimes with one of my “non-arthritic friends” (it seems I’ve coined another somewhat strange - sounding term there, lol) have a Nice evening and take care. Hi Toni how are you today? those egg and mushroom rolls looks very tempting indeed but I’ve been relatively good with food today and I’m trying to keep it that way didn’t have anything fried I made some pasta well I mean I prepared some pasta - butternut squash thing I mentioned before and I learnt a trick of using an oven glove to hold the hot and narrow saucepan handle which really helped me because even though it was a bit painful it was much easier than doing it without the protective glove which also gave me some grip, oh I just forgot to say to toady that there were a lot of people hanging about in the actual opticians because one of the opticians had forgotten all his login details (how does anyone manage to do that? Lol), so 2 receptionists were helping him with that while the number of people waiting just grew and grew, okay sorry back to Toni there was actually just one little baby that I saw I dramatised a bit, lol, it was very odd though because as well as the baby, the babies’ parents and grandparents were there too as far as I could tell, a family visit to the opticians people really can be very odd , also I didn’t even get to sit down while I was waiting because one woman put a massive handbag on a chair so no one could sit there and anyway it wasn’t too bad I didn’t have to wait for extremely long time. Yes you’re right if LA had gone to the opticians I really don’t know what would’ ensued they would’ve had to merge with the bakery perhaps just provide fresh cakes for demanding little three-year-old aristocratic toddlers, lol. Don’t worry Bill doesn’t cook for many people he had I think once he fried egg for my sister or something like that that’s in about five years of marriage not quite an equal division of labour, lol, but you’re absolutely right if he did cook for me I’d have to maybe invest in some industrial strength antacids, haha. Glad Lucy is enjoying her work mum is okay thank you yes indeed we are very lucky that so many things can be treated these days I went for a walk today yes I know what you mean it’s important to get the time right because when the weather is bad often starting a bit later is our best bet even though it kind of goes against the grain because we like getting things done early in the morning Im completely with you there Toni. My dad had his Covid booster today so that was good he doesn’t seem to be having too many side-effects at the moment mind you he’s not exactly an open book, he keeps most things to himself but I don’t think he’s feeling too bad, he does have some bad shoulder pain but he’s not really taking much medicine for it and I’m fed up of asking him, unfortunately my sister has got some diarrhoea and vomiting but she seems to have caught from BR who in turn probably caught that from the nursery, luckily LA and Bill seem to be unaffected so far, The lunch pasta i prepared was quite a nice change my mum also had some and I made a home-made hot Choc with very little added sugar which is also quite tasty my day has not been too bad thanks but I don’t like this kind of stuffy weather and I do suffer from hay fever is that something that affects you too? okay I better go for now take care Toni enjoy the evening. Xx
