sorry I was almost silent

that freezing cold shower and then changing in the freezing cold room ruined most of the day

it was temporary glitch with the thermostat- now its working fine 🤷‍♀️

I was so cold I wore 2 thermal jumpers

but the really annoying thing was that I couldn’t find my thermal leggings

anyway I warmed up eventually 👍

Thanks for confirming it's not all in the mind that the middle-type-jobs are tricky, frog, I do see why. Will get there in the end, just a shame it's so tortuous these days as I don't hate having people to do stuff - I would almost enjoy it in an ideal world, if people (& me) were how you see them in your mind's eye. Good point about the hedgehog, mine was either a brief visitor or else is just not being the least use where l'escargot are concerned 🤨. 'night to joan, and Sue of course, will be seeing another chap tomorrow he may be a bit upmarket but at least I might get some advice. I do think some firms do what you say, and also book in more jobs than they need, as 'insurance' not to run out of work, then drop the ones they don't need which is a bit off. I don't want someone who will take it on & not be good though so I'd rather someone was honest and turned it down if it's out of their scope. Thank you that's interesting about the masks it looks like everywhere is different then 🤔. Have a good Friday it might rain certainly still feels thundery. We had some rain not a lot but some. Enough for us to go to the site bar for a game if dominoes and a mocktail.

It was fun only us there and the owner. Luckily we had already had our walk and I was cooking inside not on the cadac anyway. So no problem. Soon dried up and still the ground is parched. No escargot or sloogs (slugs pronounced 'allo allo' style😳

I will be thinking of you and hoping your builders are interested and the right price as well as ability to do the job. 🤞🤞🤞

Hi to bosh too, glad to hear Bill has returned in one piece even if it's a slightly larger piece than when he went maybe. Presents for littleys I expect. I love CatsNap 😂 well the code, not 'it' itself ofc, luckily for me I seem to have natural immunity 😄 so I don't have to take my 'anti' meds (wonder what side effects there might be from those if any 🤔). I loved that pic yesterday of the idli sambar yum! Yes please love it and daal. I had lovely lentil soup with huge chunks of carrots in it yesterday more like stew really. Just large hunks of break and that was me sorted! This site does vegan food. we are here today as well so I will have another treat tonight.

We came to this site last year and the food is one of the reasons we came back. That and Paul loved the showers. They are incredible like posh hotel showers. I use ours in the motorhome though more private and I still feel safer after COVID.

Will the Seine fit in BIL's belly of he goes for a swim🤔 🤔 I think it will it is enormous, but.....some water may gush over the sides and flood people's houses nearby possibly?

Awww a Nemo game! (or Mimo!) how brilliant. LA does get obsessed with things doesn't he but in a good way. I think that will help him with future studies.

We are back on our favourite site. We came last year. They do vegan food. the owners are English and bought the site in 2019 worked like mad getting new shower and toilet block installed. Spent a fortune expecting 2020 to the their year. say no more. We were one of the first back in 2022 when we were allowed. This year they have 100% occupancy!

A sweet little sparrow came into the restaurant (see above) while we were there, but I wasn't quick enough with my phone to get a pic. I'll try again tonight.

So now you have to wait for the quotes to come in? and maybe another 'man' looking at the job soon. Let's forget it for now.

I will certainly bring no 8-legged creatures home with me I promise😮 if did your hedgehog won't be helping me out will he😁Vegan 🦔 indeed!

Trying to catch up today with the things wot I did not get a chance to do yesterday, not particularly successfully 🤷‍♀️. Rather scotched from going in the garden by my old enemy the 'moderate breeze', no fun out there with things blowing about etc so just did a bit & then stumped indoors. No rain today but we did have a bit yesterday frog hope you did get some at home to help with the watering situation. I'm sure someone would have let you know if the village had been rattling around like doll's houses in the earthquake, and Sleek would definitely have had something to say and brought her overnight bag too 🤭. Yes there was a little bit of grumbling about unjust treatment at home but I took it with a pinch of catnip 😄 she did look perfectly well fed & bonny, though not as well fed as selfie cat there (that kitty is saying 'it was just the angle, it was just the angle!' 😾) Glad you've been having a nice time back at your fave site, that is such a shame for the people to have had such bad timing like so many did, & do hope having got back on their feet things go from strength to strength for them 👍️. Hope the visitor sparrow is a regular 🐦️. Ooh, I like that caravan! 😀 Shiny! and, um, pricey! How are they regarded in the motorhoming community? I sensed possibly mixed opinions? Nosegay listing weekend is upon me so am poking around in there (look out for the horrid new item page layout - no nice simple hover to zoom function, just a huge pic and a click now to enlarge, they are obsessed with extra clicks, don't they know people have arthritic hands 🙄). Yesterday's work chap was at least pleasant and didn't say anything personal whatsoever, and spent time explaining things, so we'll see. While I was talking to him outside I could hear little cheepings so I watched today to see which tree, and sparrows were going in & out, first chicks I've heard this year. LA has started copying Little Ella of the jam sandwich fame and keeps saying “ I don’t care!” in response to everything, my poor mum only said, “ LA don’t jump from sofa to sofa like that, you’ll fall on the wood floor and get hurt”, but LA just said to her in his most lordly voice, “ I don’t care!” What a silly billy - but thankfully not a silly bill - no prawns and chips 👍👍

annoying neighbours- yes I know those, laughing in gardens, irritating scraps of music, a separate desert for them maybe? Tornado for neighbours is £500 on nosegay - you may have to sell your hats lol.

Quite nice out there when it's sunny and the wind's not blowing, and horrid when it is, unfortunately that's been 90% of the time 🙄. Was out on a walk saying Oh pipe down stupid wind, quite possibly in earshot of a gentleman that I didn't see, bending down doing something or other to his car tyres 😄. Well that was quite mild compared to what I was muttering about someone out on their drive making horrendous metal grinding noises to some sort of bit of equipment, on other peoples' Sunday. Got more grumpy as the walk progressed - went round my allotment lane route frog (took my camera, so naturally there were no cows whatsoever) - must have had to wave thank you to about 30 cars pulling out to pass me (no pavement), ended up wishing them all away and to take their tarmac with them & put the clock back to it being a proper lane. No offence to those who love cars and for whom tarmac is topical, sorry Paul sorry Frog 😄. Hope you're both having a lovely day, despite that horrific early start 😱 and the wind has toned it down a bit for you too. Have I seen the Bayeux Tapestry, in person do you mean? No, it was supposed to be over here for a bit in 2022 wasn't it, but then there was the whole 'is it too fragile or is that some sort of brexity excuse' business 🤔. There's a copy in Reshmi's neck of the woods isn't there, & then there's that lady making one by herself at a rate of 6m per year 😬 she should be finished in another decade or so, rather her than me. Have a good evening & some nice if overpriced cuisine or other, unless you are going to self-cater - the soup sounded very nice although then I remembered it should be boiling hot here and soup should sound like the last thing you'd want 😱 come on temperatures buck your ideas up 👋 :) xx

Hi bosh, question of the day, have you seen the replica Bayeux tapestry at Reading Museum? Probably the closest I would get to it, as The Toad With No Passport, though probably wouldn't get there either realistically 😄 it would mean leaving my gothic hovel, and in daylight too 😱. Oh well, 'I don't care' haha. Poor LA I hope the fish & chips was not a bad move, & he is ok. Hope things alright with everyone else too 👍️. Neighbours are strangely quiet today, perhaps that's the ideal time for me to go and make some noise for them 🤔😉. The wind is still pretty brisk here perhaps enough to pick up the neighbours & put them down in Kansas without me having to fork out on nosegay 🤨. Good luck finding a tornado listed on there anyway, the site is full of sellers trying to look like the cheapest option in search results, so you would have to scroll past all the people selling you a sample gust of wind for 99p. 🙄 Not much else going on, bit bored, but think I will steer clear of any board games with LA thanks, or strategically lose on purpose.
