    Hi toady

    glad your day was ok

it was hot inside the house as dad decided to cook some lamb for some unknown reason 🤷‍♀️

I liked the old phones too

i don’t remember national savings stamps but they sound enjoyable 😀

The play is in a local theatre I went to once or twice as a child, it’s a bit posher than the one we took LA too last time, so I’m fairly sure that it’s not going to be damp like the underground theatre we we took LA to last time, that wasn’t good, it made the arthritis temporarily worse in there. Yes you’ve hit the nail on the head there, LA and his snack consumption is the issue, his secret weapon is the threat of a public tantrum of course - double ooks 😱😱

the weather venn diagram thats a good one, lol, I actually got “caught in the rain”, there was a Wonderstuff song, does that ring a bell, by any chance? Well not fully caught, luckily, I did have an umbrella, but no raincoat, I didn’t get fully drenched basically, but to be honest I wouldn’t have minded too much, given the horrific nature of the last few days, I know not horrific for you, but you know what I mean 😀

bye for now toady have a good night tc xx

Ps interesting garage sale sign and gothic sugar cubes lol xx

    Morning!

I'm glad you got into town Joan. Poor Sue tell her not to worry about the post it happens to all of us although it would have been lovely to see her.

Are you ready to see poor Penelope the Fig?

    Are you sure?

I sent Bill the pic and we both said the same thing. She's naked!!! She does however have no rust at all, is thoroughly waxoyld and going into the spray booth on Monday all being well. Love to you both ((())) xxx

Morning Reshmi how are you today? Still ok I hope and your Mum is well too that's really good.

Yes BIL is better behaved than some fathers were. I think Lucy and Charley's Dad (not Paul) changed 2 nappies ever between both of them! Pushed the pushchair once. Hopefully spending time with BR and his Father in Law might just teach your Dad (BB) a thing or two.

Children really must get a lot of pocket money these days! A Rolex eh? I rather think your sister would like that, but properly be happier with a homemade card 😊

Aha! We could 'block' people in the 80's but only temporarily or we would block Grandma too!

We had a lot of rain here in the end yesterday afternoon which is great. I only watered plants which don't get wet being sort of under shelter like the hanging baskets.

Sleek accompanied me as she often does. She'd finished the ironing already😂

    Take care ((()))

Morning Keef - wow what a lovely hotel letting you put the bike inside😊 I hope you can stage your journey home with a break when the time comes?

Well I am glad you do have stickman with you. Cute name for your stick there from Sucré. Love his name BTW.

What do you think of my poor car? Doesn't even look like a Figaro does she?😔 Still she will be as good as new hopefully by the end of this week.

Weather doesn't matter too much you're there, and with your family making memories, which is all that matters.

Morning Toady How are you doing today?

There was a good window yesterday. I got out for a while too. Same here the best of the day was when I was busy doing indoor unavoidable tasks! I'm on the Church cleaning rota for example🙄

We also went out looking for e-bikes! I have borrowed Kari's which is big and heavy, but Paul wants to ride when we are away and I can't keep up! They really are NOT cheap!!! But we have found one we love although it's not available in pink unfortunately.

Just need to be sure there isn't a better option. You can lift the handlebars up high which my back prefers. Anyway watch this space.

Sleek says she doesn't mind ironing on a wet day in exchange for a doughnut or suitable delicacy....

Maybe a 13 year old in our day might have made a cart? That would be about it. That lad could be an engineer in his future. I have to stop myself with these 'shorts' and limit myself to only one or two (X10 maybe?). You are right it's a leacher of time Youtube.

Tiny Chef is indeed a sweet little 'person' he has a pet 🐌 too and a pet 🐛 caterpillar.

The mole (s?????) has been back😣 it rained didn't it? so the worms must have been a-wiggling🙄

Ah well at least I only had to water sheltered plants like the hanging baskets.

Make the most of this morning Toad before it rains this afternoon.

Bet Keef gets a good breakfast at the hotel!

Raining again ☹️ dodged the showers yesterday and bike stayed clean, might be more difficult today.

@frogmorton I was trying to work out what model car it was. Failed! Expensive business restoring cars of that era. Be worth it when it’s completed, bet you can’t wait. I would be very impatient and hovering around the workshop annoying the mechanics/painters. My first son is in that trade. Would love to see the finished photos please.

Breakfast here is very good, although I generally stick to beans on toast with cooked tomatoes when full English is available. The waitress said to me yesterday, “why you eat that, you so thin?” I said, “It’s because I eat that I am so not fat!” And she was like, “Ooohh!” Like a light bulb going on in her mind, was hilarious. We both had a laugh about it. I can’t exercise at all like I used to and I know if I put a few pounds on the pain goes up so I have to stay as fit as possible with limited exercise.

@bosh my wife Loanda makes those sugar skulls with a silicon mould (is that spelt right?). Then rather than putting them in tea or coffee I end up eating them whilst waiting for the kettle to boil. What was it I was saying about putting weight on?

@bosh another fine pic. Where is it? I’m guessing Ireland or NZ or should I know?

@frogmorton are u following F1. Will u be watching British GP. After the Hamilton / Verstappen end of season fiasco I stopped following it and I don’t have a TV at home so only used to watch on my laptop on catch up but obviously hotel has tv in room so might catch it this afternoon.

Have a nice day all. 😁

    Hi Keef

Thanks that was actually south Wales, the Gower peninsula as far as I remember

oh dear the skull sugar cubes sound very tempting

I also don’t cope well if people in the family dump a whole load of sugary items right in front of my face lol

I hope you have a nice evening take care

    Hi Joan

That’s good that you both like the warm

    Hi Toni

    how are you?

LA has really worn me out, otherwise I would’ve posted much earlier, sorry about that.

it was a dragon play, not dinosaur, LA loved it, but played “chase the dragon” while holding my hand, so we both ended up running in circles for a little bit after the play, so that was a bit of enforced dizzy - making exercise I could have done without

mum is ok now thanks, not well last night though, not quite hypo, but approaching one unfortunately

I need to phone the GPs’ surgery tomorrow as they may have changed lithium dose without telling me - issue with prescription - so may need to stay in whole day tomorrow waiting for call back- I hate these constant hassles - anyway exhausted now bye Toni tc xx

hi toady hope you’re doing ok? Sorry LA was and is my sleeping tablet today - I live in hope of writing an intelligent message tomorrow lol good night tc xx

Hi all 👋 intended to come online earlier this evening assuming it would be raining, then it unexpectedly came out v nice so I forsook you all for a long walk 😬 soz. Now that I'm back online my connection is going off every few secs 🙄 so like bosh it will be a post from me tomorrow now, probably not an intelligent one, but we shall see 😄. Not much chance of a sunset like that here but I'll take dry for the moment.

Love to all back tomorrow, always assuming my internet is ok 😘

    Sleep well 😴 xx

    Morning!

Joan yes you're quite right it will soon be time for me to pock Penelope up. They have done a great job the poor girl will be missing me and home. Soon be time for your re rescheduled apt! Paul had no letter! Well one chaisng up the bowel cancer screening 🙄 Take care ((())) xxx

Morning Keef how is your back? Any better?

I can see why you wouldn't know what kind of car she is and yes I am hounding the mechanic!!! He is lovely and called Darren and has done one of these before.

Here she is with a friend's car the type is written above being the name of the cafe:

She is a Nissan Figaro and is 32 years old a 2 plus 2 3 speed automatic gearbox convertible. Her distinctive features were completely gone in that previous pic. She was based on the 'old' Nissan micra?

In Luxembourg earlier this year with one or two (21) other Figs.

We are watching the F1, but we record races and zoom through to the interesting bits. I know what you mean having just been away I took my laptop but not all the sites had wifi.

I am the same with full English breakfasts. Luckily being Vegan I am able to dodge most of the naughtiest stuff anyway.

I hope the weather has been far better than you expected? Did you get to the beach with Sucré?

    Have a lovely day.

Morning Reshmi how are you? I hope recovered from your unusual vertigo inducing exercise yesterday.

Sounds as though your Mum might also have overdone it a bit I hope she is ok today now?

How was the tiny tyrant? I bet you all had a lovely day and Dragon Play? His friends will all be so envious at school today!

Oh dear me something not quite right with your prescription? Gosh I hope you can sort it with the GP quickly that's the last thing you need if it's wrong.

Maybe have a restful day today after that?

    Take care ((()))

    Morning Toady

Oh dear internet issues connectivity unreliable🙄

the weather I think it was sunny then raining, but never cool wasn't it?

Perfect for walks and gardening between showers. I visited Charley and Annie and their two dogs and cats yesterday with Paul. We had a bit of lunch out at an outdoory hipster place. A proper (with chunks) beetroot burger it was gorgeous!

Paul is back on his diet from today bless him.

    Take care

Hi Toni toady Joan and Keef

    how are you all today?

    I survived phoning docs 👍

no dosage change just an internal error

Hi toady I’m aware I’ve not posted properly recently will rectify that in time 👍

LA told BB off for driving badly - which is true it’s like being on a rollercoaster and I get travel sick enough anyway 🤢

he said he should drive more like mummy 😂

    thanks for LA’s dragon Toni

    ok bfn tc xx

    Hi all,

@bosh well it kind of looks like a cat, just a bit stretched.

@dachshund yep exactly the same. Sugar, a TINY bit of water and that’s it as far ai remember then simply squash it into the mould and wait for it to set in fridge.

we often make stuff together, i do the weights and measures with Sucré and Loanda does absolutely everything else. Then Sucré watches through the oven door it cooking. It’s normally something like skull rock cakes of coffin fairy cakes. Never anything normal. 🙄

@frogmorton unfortunately no back no better and today my neck is joining in. Managed about 30 minutes looking for life in rock pools this morning. Found some crabs and a hermit crab before I was absolutely in too much agony to continue and granny and grandad took over with Loanda. I just made it to the carpark cafe about 50metres away to sit down before the pain made me sick.

The Figs look great, must have been great to be in one. I know when I’ve been one of 50 harley riders in a convoy. Great feeling.

    best wishes to all.

Hello people - putting this in a quick draft & hoping for the best, have only just got a squeak out of the broadband and have had to checkout my half-finished grocery shop. It's the wiring not the router I think joan, it has funny turns in the damp from time to time - it's not 'fibre to the premises', the copper section is probably dodgy especially into the house. It can have been lashing with rain sometimes yet be fine 🤷‍♀️ just one of those things. Hope your day has been ok :) xx

Love to frog, it will not be very long before Penelope can put her clothes on poor thing 😳 - I remember you were looking at e-bikes before, hope the one you've seen turns out to fit the spec you're after (could it be 'pinked up' a bit?!). Glad to hear Charley & Annie & animals are well 👍️ hope you've had a good day.. dull as pitch here.. 🙄 not much prospect of anything better, sigh. Back shortly I hope :)

Hi bosh, gosh the play and the spinny circles do sound tiring, hope you are having an ok day and glad your prescription has been sorted but an internal error is not brilliant 🙄 . See you when I'm reliably in next and good luck with the phone appt if I don't get in again, don't think I've said yet am glad you can have a female to speak to 👍️ have a good evening.

Must say I take a v. dim view of personal remarks like at your cafe keef, people have no idea why someone might be on a diet or have lost weight, and in any case it's terribly rude to comment. Good job it's not like that in here 🤨 fair play to you though taking it in good part. Sorry back & neck ganging up on you today, hope you have a better day🤞.

    Love to all 👋 xx

    Hi Toni

    how are you?

    Mum is ok today thanks

    im just about ok thanks

the GP’s pharmacist had made a mistake and tried to indirectly blame it on me

anyway main thing is that it got sorted out 👍

    LA loved the play thanks

Poor mum got a bit tired and underplayed it, but my sis realised and we had a tea / drink outside and then BB gave us a grump lift back - so it was ok in the end

BB asked LA to talk about mummy’s job, he said, “she’s a lawyer, most of the time she works from home, but sometimes she works from London, she makes money so that BR can buy nice toys and food, yes, he asks for a lot of toys, I said, BR - how many Peppa Pigs and Paw Patrol toys do you need? I never ask for toys and nice food ( what is “nice food” I wonder? Gourmet Brie sourdough sandwich with a skull sugar cube - mayo?) because I’m almost an adulk” - oh well done to little actor LA saying that with a straight face - BR making unreasonable demands indeed - that was of course naughty LA reversing the roles lol.

I was indeed very tired this morning, but docs’ surgery phoning back woke me up completely- a bit too effectively really, had some palpitations- but yes very glad to have dealt with an experienced kind receptionist and not being subjected to a secretive dosage change by the GP - because that kind of thing has definitely happened in the past.

    ok I’ll stop there

more later hopefully bye Toni tc xx

I’m obviously trying to do too much as I’m serious not in a good place this evening. I’m staying in a hotel 5 minutes ride from my family on their campsite as it was a last minute decision for me to come as I said and their van isn’t really big enough for me too especially with my additional complications I must have been getting grumpy due to being tired and pain as my wife suggested I get an early night and ride back to hotel.

Time for an early night and an easy day tomorrow which will probably involve just chilling at hotel gardens again, but at least I’m here, and sorry if that’s too much info for some but just need to put it out there as it helps for me to be open about stuff, eases the burden.

    stunning pic as always @bosh

    Hi again Toni

that was a nice pic of your car

yes I did manage to rest eventually thanks after phone call from the docs I went on a quick walk, it was warmer than ideal but the breeze made it bearable 👍

then had a good rest approaching evening time thanks

the play was good thanks, only problem was it went on for about 3 hours so one leg got really stiff only managed to have a restorative hot shower very near the end of the day to sort it out after dealing with “family tantrums” to put it one way 🤷‍♀️

I must admit I had way too much sugar during the LA and BR stay, partly just to keep going, secondly if the toxic sweet stuff is placed right in front of you, as Keef was implying I think, it takes a very strong mind to resist it - especially if a person is already tired 😡

oh well glad that’s over now - in one way

very tight security at the theatre- it was almost like being at the airport! I suppose the reason could be that it was so near the civic offices.

nice windy day here - but not gale force thankfully

whats your weather been like today?

have a good evening Toni tc xx

    how are you both today?

I was very tired this morning yes, but I’m feeling better now thanks

mum is feeling ok today thank you, much better for seeing LA and BR of course

Bill was meant to be watching BR but left a door open and poor little BR wandered into the garden for a second while Bill was in the bathroom! He eventually found BR standing in the back garden looking at the sky - thank goodness he hadn’t wandered into the street, dad was phoning someone and being completely irresponsible as usual.

I hope you both have a nice evening bye tc xx

    Hi toady

    how are you?

sorry to hear you’re having internet problems- I know how frustrating that can be

I have recovered from the EF visit thanks - well only just about lol

    thanks about the psych call

LA was really naughty he almost opened an unpaid for chewing gum packet in “All these pharmacists are in cahoots”, to bring back the Reading Rhyming Slang, lol and was about to open and devour some T*c T*cs, until I told him they were a kind of medicine, lol, he was doing all sorts of naughty things and almost left the shop at one point, my sister had to drag him back in at one point, he was dragging his feet so much that it was like pulling a lead weight, I may find I have biceps like Popeye soon, lol.

Getting a bit tired now, so have a good night toady tc xx

    hi Keef

    Morning

Morning Joan a robotic arm that's very impressive and a tilt test machine too. Sounds like a good hospital. We had a fair bit of rain yesterday did you? I washed the car's mats yesterday in the hope she'll be home soon. Hope you and Sue are both well? ((())) xxx

Morning Reshmi hope you are ok today an of course your lovely Mum too.

Oh dear me indeed! BR is forcing Mummy to work in London so he can have all the toys and cheese he needs🤣 I knew straight away what was going on there!!! LA!!! Mind I used to blame my toys whenever I did anything wrong too - like crayoning on the walls😳

Good for him though telling BB off for his rubbish travel-sick-inducing driving🤭 only he could get away with saying that!

Dragon play sounded really good fun, but i am glad you got a lift home it sounded quite exhausting.

Glad there was tight security in the theatre safer for all concerned.

Naughty pharmacist trying to lay the blame on you for their error with the Lithium! Cheeky things. Main thing as you said is you had a sensible receptionist and there had been no change just human error. No secret/sly change.

The artist who painted the long legged cat! Well I haven't ever seen such a cat but to be fair my attempt would be far worse!

Did I see on your reply to Joan that BR got outside with two grown men supposedly looking after him?🙄 say no more!

I think Keef is right about nice sweet treats if you already feel a bit peckish. If they are there they will go in our mouths!

Have a good day. Are you going to group today?

    Morning Keef.

I'm so glad you did some crabbing with Sucré before your pain got too much. Those will be good memories for him when he grows up. The hotel gardens sound as though they must be very restorative.

We are exactly the people to unburden with when we are suffering. Hopefully we don't worry our families so much if we can let it go here where people understand. I hope today is a little better. I think aproper hotel bed was the best idea anyway.

There's nothing like riding in convoy is there? I love it when people wave at us too. Such a great feeling. Our Fig are such odd cars they always make people stop, stare and smile☺️

    Take care.

Morning Toady bloomin technology. We had a really bad day yesterday with our phones no chance of speaking to anyone without sitting on one spot not daring to breathe even!

    How are you otherwise?

Shopping done after a fashion at least.

I am hoping Penelope might even be dressed by this weekend🤞 I know they are aiming for then. She should have been in the spray booth for coat number 1 yesterday.

I could 'pink' up the bike yes with accessories....I could have one in white or grey maybe. Good idea.

I expect our gardens are enjoying all this rain even if we aren't.🙄

Hope today is a good one for you

Morning Joan Your appointment is looming! I bet you are looking forward to that. It's fabulous seeing Figaros in front and behind you. Not so good if you find yourself at the front and can't read the instructions!!!! Then if you go wrong everyone does🤣 Didn't happen to me but one person did it one day! Hope you and Sue are well. Where has Jacky's daughter been recently? ((())) xxx

Morning Reshmi how are you doing? Glad your Mum was well yesterday.

Of course you'll be thinking and worrying about the psych appt it's getting close. I do exactly the same even if it's a trivial appt with a Dr. I wish they understood how stressful such appts are for us. I suggest if you haven't already that you write down what is happening, when and for how long. It's impact on you and try very very hard (I know not possible really) to put it out of your mind knowing you won't forget anything you need to say((()))

Waitrose is a much nicer option than Ghost group unless they make it less ghostly!

BIL might need to drink les red meat and red wine Or is it port they used to say gave you gout? I hope he's ok and some decent ant-inflams see him right.

Then BB is not the most responsible Grandparent I 🤔 tut tut. To be fair BIL was in the bath wasn't he? Tow men though one little boy🙄

Love the pic of the wife seeing her husband's browsing history!!!!😂Hope your day is good ((()))

    Morning Toady

I do hope all is well with you and that it's just that darn internet connectivity caused problems yesterday.

If so maybe you had time to get outside between deluges of rain. Did you see all wildlife?

I met a friend for a coffee in one of 'the cars' and it broke down. Possibly and alternator issue Paul had to rescue me😳 Good job he was local for a change.

I want my Penelope Figgy home😩

Sleek is coming over just to check in on you and feed back.

Heard from Barbara yesterday she is ok as are all the family.

Keef I hope you are doing ok back not too painful and you are all busy in the IOW enjoying your holiday.

We have anew member of the Figaro owners club in the IOW so look out for a lapis grey coloured one over there. It's like an airforce blue. Wave to her if you see her she will love it.

    Take care
