    Hi Keef

    how are you today?

I hope you get enough rest

Christine the vampire nurse, I like it lol

So Sucre is educating you, that’s good.

the original vampire nurse was really a terrible character, she clearly didn’t know what she was doing, she started chatting to me about rubbish and pierced my arm at least 3 times like it was a pin cushion or something, I actually don’t mind needles too much, but later on you can imagine how painful it was - not good.

I hope today is better for you, bye tc x

    Hi Toni

    how are you today?

    no headache today thank goodness

I think mum is sometimes ok, sometimes breaking down a bit - bless her 😔

not sure about LA’s next visit, but yes I think it must be fairly soon

yes sis is dealing with her own EF as it were, her mother in law only speaks Hindi and English, but her English is not really so good sometimes so how she’ll communicate with the kids I don’t really know lol

last time she visited LA was a newborn and I think she told my sis she had to breastfeed, not bottle- or poss the other way round? - anyway my sis felt she had to obey and it wasn’t the right advice- not good.

anyway let my sis deal with these kind of problems might build her character, bill is afraid of her temper and so am I to be honest- lol

ok I’ll go now otherwise the intergalactic war for the shower will re - commence, lol.

thanks about the pic by the way

have a good afternoon Toni tc xx

    Ps pic of Amsterdam

    hi Joan

    how are you both?

    im not bad thanks,

thanks about mum, she’s ok sometimes

have a good afternoon bye tc xx

how many leaves of bread can you fit in the back of a Figaro?

40! We have bread for Monday morning😊

Donated by the one stop shop fabulous.

They were nearly on 100 food bags sold when I left after my shift too. Incredible.

Joan Poor Sue seeing that with M&S devastating isn't it? Wilko's next😕 I am shattered resting now for a bit before tonight's fundraiser. ((())) xxx

Keef how sweet is that boy!

I used to love playing Brio with mine.

You can so tell Sucré is cheeky by his face.

I think the coca cola plant is indeed a herb and the mint. Lovely stuff Loanda. Paul is the same as long as he can get a car through i can do whatever I want!

We had a lot of rain, but like you no storm. I am in South Staffs.

Hi Reshmi, yes not too bad today, normal amount of pain. Had a sleep this afternoon for about 90 minutes. Rolled down to the park with Sucré and Loanda but now I’m suffering for it. Just popped two more tram. Picked up my drugs for the inflammation and they’ve given me naproxen again 🙄.

how are you, how is your head today?

do you inject everyday. I guess i might have to get used to the idea of doing the same if that is for inflammation??

  • bosh
    bosh Member Posts: 4,896

    Hi Keef

im glad the pain has reduced a little and that you had some rest

    my head is ok thanks

but I’ve got a bit of an upset stomach unfortunately

I’ve been sleeping most of the day but still feeling tired

I inject methotrexate once a week, I have psoriatic arthritis, I’ve been told it’s an immunosuppressant, but it’s not as strong as the biologic medicines, so doesn’t weaken immunity to as great an extent as those medicines, im not really sure whether it deals with inflammation to be honest, I know it’s meant to help with psoriasis, but that’s all I know.

have a good evening bye take care x

    Hi all 👋

Just a quick hello as I've been trying to get full pelt through all the 'requires sunshine' jobs I can which hasn't left much over. Walked into town (seems to have shaped itself into a Friday thing but Friday was off for rain), went in TWO shops. Gardening for the rest of it, frog, and the dreaded painting. Did I say I hoped to go unmolested by dogwalkers &c? 🤔 three guesses 🙄. Same woman on both occasions, at different times. Sorry not to chat I'm sure but I'm scruffy tired fretting about my paintwork, I mean give a toad a break. Second coat went on a bit better at any rate, phew, thank you Sleek for the pro tips 😸. Super food bank haul! brilliant. Hope the fundraiser is (or did) not dragging on & you managed to prop your eyelids open 👀. Hope to be in for a better chat tomorrow, especially as Mon I am back to chasing builder's quotes I suspect, no rest for the wicked. Best wishes for your friend's day tomorrow and good luck for her with the football too, if I must 😉 yes Monty would certainly not be sold to the highest international 'side', heaven forbid, I would never speak to him again if he did 😂 Love to all :) xx ps. Gosh your bites really have been horrors 😱 no new ones for me thankfully!

Hello joan, I am so sorry about your Marks's 😣 never thought I'd see the day. Awfully sad for everyone and the staff of course. I should have gone in my nearest Wilko when I last passed but I didn't have the heart 😕. Hope you have had this nice sunshine, I went into town too, and finished the painting (no more sanding for now thank you 👍️). Love to you both & the dear dogs :) xx

Hi bosh, sorry you have mxt and totm troubles combined, my mother always used to quote "When troubles come they come not single spies but in battalions", how true (except it seems to be sorrows not troubles, now I've looked 🤷‍♀️). Hope you feel better tomorrow. Hope EF are managing ok with the inlaws too, and your sister is finding it character building as you say lol but not more than flesh & blood can stand. See you soon I do hope to be in earlier and with more energy left over to post with - I went quickly into town, no bargains today, but I did buy some little things 😀. Have a good night or an ok one I hope 👋 xx

Hi keef, I love Loanda's garden 😀 a raised bed and a wall, I'm so envious, I'd love a wall to work with here. Glad you had some 'play' time today after blood tests etc, Sucré checking it for redness is very cute 😊. Hope you have a good Sunday & not awake too much in the night making tea hopefully. (I always think of Norman Wisdom in the Early Bird as the classic 'how not to make a morning cup of tea', if you've ever seen it. Not mobile enough for all that slapstick & falling down stairs unfortunately!)

Love to all have a good night 😘 xx

I got around to plugging into my new old amp I bought back tonight. OMG 😳 it sounds SO good. Can’t imagine why I ever sold it, well actually I can it’s called depression and bad judgement but anyhow I’ve rescued it back into my little bunker and it will get used every day i play now.

I built that raised flower bed a few years back out of railway sleepers when i was more able. Couldn’t dream of doing it now. I cut the sleepers with a hand saw as well. My step dad was a master craftsman boat builder and didn’t much like power tools and that view was handed down i guess.

    off to bed.

    good night all x

Oh, nothing interesting (no drama no dog bites) just the curse of the 'wanting to be chatty' person when you don't want to be chatted to. Admittedly I'm not a born chitchatter anyway but less so these days as I'm tired & ratty and if I have to do anything in public lawnmowing or whatever I mostly just want to do it inconspicuously & quickly. It's not people's fault that I'm not really into all that 'you look busy', 'you can do mine next' sort of thing - I'd probably be nicer ironically if their timing wasn't so uncanny. I don't mind this person but when twice running I'm out there for 5 mins trying to focus and up pipes a voice behind me, I lose all ability to be gracious 😬. What's your story, (and are you still thinking of getting a dog?

BTW (just seen your other post), it was so cool you didn't ring the shop & they'd sold the amp 5 mins before. Also amen to hand tools over power tools (my grandad was a carpenter wish he'd passed a bit more aptitude down to me) - & kudos re the raised bed 👍:)

    Honestly it is!

One shattered Frog here😫 Fundraiser went very well would you believe myself and Paul came 4th!!!! Incredible. Won a bottle or two in the raffle.

Morning Joan not sure if you can see my reply from yesterday it's there under the pics of Penelope. Anyway hope all is well with you both ((())) xxx

Morning Reshmi How is your stomach?

Hope today is a good day for you and your Mum is having a good day.

How long is your sister's MIL there for? I hope not too long for her patience levels and because your own Mum must be missing them a lot. It would do her good to see them.

If she (sis's MIL not your Mum) is scary then I can't imagine BIL doing much to support your sister atm🙄 She sounds interfering to me.

Hope you won the Battle of the Bathroom yesterday😉

Good job you didn't show your Dad that pic of the dentist before he went😁

    Take care today ((()))

    Morning Keef

Lovely veggie omelettes! I make vegan ones you know. What with you ask (I'm sure) gram flour mostly and you add black salt because it has a distinctly eggy whiff and taste. I bet yours went down a treat didn't they? your two can challenge you all they like but super-Keef' will rise to the occasion.

The Naproxen should help you a lot with the inflammation. Did they give you a PPI (proton pump inhibitor) to take to protect your stomach? Non steroidal anti-inflammatories like that can upset your stomach.

The injection Reshmi takes can be taken like me (and I think) Toady in tablet form too and is a once a week medication. There are lots of these types of medications, but we'll help if they diagnose you with an autoimmune type of arthritis. The idea is to dampen down an immune system, as Reshmi explained, which is attacking our own bodies.

I'm so glad you have your old amp back and it hadn't been sold 5 minutes before like Toady said could have happened. Gosh that would have been upsetting.

The raised bed is fabulous well done building it. Your Step-dad sounded a useful man to learn form but I think I'd suggest power tools these days or even 'getting someone in' like poor toady needs to.

    Have a good day.

    Morning Toady

How are you today? I am a bit shattered yesterday was a lot to survive, but I did. Heaven only knows what time we got home. If it's past 10 I do not look at my watch it stresses me out too much. Whatever time I go to bed I wake up the same time you see.

Oh dear a chatty person. Once you can cope with, but twice? Why on earth???😣 What had the lady got left to say? I know what you mean sometimes it is just the timing or the boringly obvious stuff like yes 'You can do mine next'🙄

Sleek is considering coming with you next time then you'd have an excuse to avoid people with dogs. She has a pretty mean hiss too if pushed. Trust me.

Well done with the second coat Sleek reckons that might be enough.

I hope the gardening was restorative at least. I have been thinking about the transfer window for gardeners would it be 'pre-season'? early January when we can't do a thing?🤔 Glad it ain't gonna happen.

Hopefully today will be ok for my friend. She has found she can lose herself in 'the beautiful game'. Not sure where the beauty comes in🤣 I must 'wrap' her pressie and write her card. Not with a 50 on I won't add insult to injury.

Ok better get something done - have a good day

    Toni x

I've done everyone breakfast in bed. Vegan option available of course.

Hi all - quick early hello from me, well by my standards. Internet a bit iffy again so we'll see.

Summer indeed frog 🌞 if only there were weeks of it to come! The difference between what you can get done in this is just no comparison. Glad you had a good evening, 4th-placers 😀 even if it was a bit too twilight zone for you. Not too tired on the back of it I hope. Yes the gardening time was very nice 😊 nothing exciting going on unfortunately but it was nice for its own sake, quiet, no building noise on a weekend (really is v trying in the week, endless beepings & clunkings, made worse because I resent them putting these houses up anyway - otherwise you'd grit your teeth a bit more philosophically). The chatty person didn't get as far as an actual chat I'm afraid, having had no encouragement 😬 to give them credit they probably would have the sense that someone painting won't want to get into anything. I'm a bit more tolerant if I'm right at the edge of the drive or something but tbh I do still feel that just being 'out front' isn't an open invitation, unless your body language is that of a cheery chatty person, & mine never is 😂. I do have to go out & do a bit more.. will involve a ladder.. oh dear a sitting/standing target 😱. Tell Sleek to start practising her hiss just in case, thank you, maybe run up & down a few scales (sorry Sleek, not the fishy sort 😸). Hope you have got on ok seeing your friend and sorry for her sake about the footie 😔 I don't think I jinxed it single-handedly 😳. Have a good Sunday afternoon :) oh btw I don't take mxt in any form now, and never the tablets. Was never any use to me anyway, but still much thanks to consultant that let me go straight to injectable, the only way they could strongarm me onto it 😬. Bye for now love to all xx

Hello joan, that's interesting that you & Sue are so different in chatting to people. Yes I like to think my own thoughts, & I'm fairly self-conscious as well - I do feel a bit bad if people want someone to talk to but I'm not really the right person 😬 maybe that's a bit ungrateful, serve me right if people snubbed me instead of the other way round. Hope you are both having a nice Sunday, hard to imagine people have had so much trouble with Storm Betty &c when it's so nice here. xx

Hi bosh, sorry KV is in molten lava mode, I expect you had your walk early and the benefit has worn off. If your parents go and see EF that will be a bit of quiet for you assuming you aren't going. I will probably do an instalment system myself today too and catch up with you later, not that I have anything newsworthy but something interesting might happen by then 😂 xx

Quick hi to keef, hope you're ok as no MMS today. Just to add my 2penn'orth to the methotrexate subject, Frog mentioned she thinks I'm on or have had the tablets, I only ever had the injections myself, not any longer but at least can speak from experience on those fwiw. It just wasn't the drug for me in the end. Hope family all having a good day xx

    Love to all 😘 xx

Hi Toady, the dog thing was at Hatton Locks. Bloke comes walking along the fairly narrow path which I was sitting next to at the cafe at a table with my two. Sucré is fine with dogs thankfully but this guy walking his dog didn’t know that and I see he is totally oblivious to what his dog is doing even though it’s on a lead. The dog was a lab i think, fat like its owner poor thing and it was bothering everyone it passed by by sniffing or licking or trying to steal food off their table. It did the same to me and Sucré so I said as he passed for him to keep his dog under control and that it had bothered everyone etc etc and he didn’t even respond he just wandered off like I hadn’t said anything. Everyone here knows we are a dog family between dogs and behaviour like that really annoys me because not everyone likes dogs.

I understand totally not wanting to be bothered by small talk. I hate it. I can be the world’s most unsociable person. I had to endure small talk today at a one year olds birthday party. I don’t normally go to these things but Loanda asked if i would go coz her mum who also was invited couldn’t go, it wasn’t too bad tbh but I was glad when we left, but very smug i went. I even made an effort to wear some gothic stuff and put some eyeliner on as Loanda loves that look, and I couldn’t accompany her all scriffy. They’d made an effort with the hall and the bar was open and there was a buffet which isn’t cheap to put on, and Sucré enjoyed himself and made a haul of the kids toys he liked, stacking them all by our table. He was a little put out he wasn’t allowed to take them home but was pleased with a balloon instead. Timed my painkillers pretty well and went to bed when we got back for an hour.

Get me talking about guitars or music in general and you won’t shut me up.

thanks for the props re the flower bed. I am quite proud of it. All the joints are mm perfect and I really took my time as it was for Loanda to get it spot on.

Hi Toni, yes to the stomach protector. I haven’t taken any of the naproxen yet. Waiting for bt results and making do with ibuprofen. Don’t really know why.

Love the super dad thing thank you. Sucré had a baby grow that had “Ssshh, I think my dad is Batman” on it and you reminded me of that. Few days on my own now. I hate when they leave, but could do with a break, hopefully get some guitar playing done, but suspect a lot of sleeping will be done. I was stoked i got the amp back, it never occurred to me he may have sold it, but now you and Toady mention it I feel very lucky. I was playing it before i started on here and it sounds incredible.

Hey Dachshund and Reshmi hope you both ok. How’s the head now Reshmi?

oh Toni, I gave up wearing a watch in my 20’s as it had the same effect on me. Much calmer with out, although I still hate being late for anything. Rather be an hour early than a minute late, and quite often am.

off to bed now, head just starting to hurt. Seeing osteo tomorrow as i updated her with the new diagnosis, and she says we need to chat, wouldn’t surprise me if she already knew or at least suspected, she is very on the ball.

    Night all x

Right that's it we're all here and whatever temp we are comfortable with it's perfect for us!

Morning Joan. 40 leaves of bread will last about 1 hour at the foodbank people will be so very grateful for it. Portugal eh? I went there once it's lovely. I wonder whether Jacky's daughter gets to stay over or comes straight back on this flight🤔 My friend did really well I never thought 8 months ago when her wife died that she'd get through it. Take care you and Sue ((()))

    Morning Reshmi

Oh dear TOTM 🙄 Hope things ease in a day or so. At least the MTX hangover should be gone today. Hope your Mum is happier and DV has eased.

Your parents are very brave to visit the 'in-laws' but it's the right thing to do. Will they take gifts and food? I hope BIL's mother will be polite to yours she gets enough hassle with your Dad.

I am very very glad you don't have to go. I bet she'd given your poor sister no end of rubbish child rearing advice.

I see it was so hot inside your house that you needed a lovely cool Lapland picture to make you feel cooler!

Today i am sitting with my lovely neighbour while her husband is treated to a day out by the family.

Have the best day you can ((()))

    Morning Keef

I'll happily have the veg and bring my own vegan pie is that ok?

Typical the mug you want would be in the dishwasher🙄

Have you got the Osteopath today? That's so sensible to fit that it while the family are at the in-laws. Be interesting to hear what he/she/they (?) say. They will be pleased at the MRI being sorted. Glad you have the meds ready to protect your stomach 👍️

You will of course miss the family and good on you spoiling Sucré yesterday, but being able to rest and recuperate will do you a lot of good too for the next few nights.

There you go a blessing to count. The amp is yours again and you were lucky to get it back. Maybe it was actually meant to be yours all along.

Aww sounds cute that baby-gro your boy used to have. Glad you had a smile yesterday at something I posted😊

    Hope your day is good.

    Moring Toady

Yes that was early for you😊

Paul said it was gone midnight when I got to bed on Saturday 😫 Last night I kept waking up doing that not breathing bit? Must have done it about 5 times. I was proper scared felt like I might not wake up next time. I tried all sorts. Extra pillows, a drink etc I am still alive though😁Unless I am a ghost writer....

You mean you were only in your own front garden? No people shouldn't really accost you I think unless you look up at them and smile. You can usually tell by people's body language if they want a chat. If I bump into someone on my walk I always say good morning/afternoon, but that's about it unless they obviously want a chat and I have the time. Face the ladder away from the road! Sleek was hissing in the mirror this morning beautifully. Yes up and down the scales.

I am glad it was much quieter up your way with no building noise. It is so upsetting when more buildings go up and more land disappears. I have no solution except that 'they' should use 'brown' land first.

Friend got through the day ok. She didn't mind the football result just finds watching it a good distraction. She did incredibly well I think to get through that day. She had planned to go part time and change jobs so she and her wife could spend more time together when she hit 50😕 It was always going to be tough the first anniversary of anything will be. 2nd probably only a bit better.

It's going to be dry today so have a good day.
