    Hi Catie
    My friend has just come back fro Saudi Arabia..she looks like an Arab...she is so brown....but said the food and hotel was wonderful....so if you are up for it I will get the bus out..only to the airport I am not driving through dessert... :o:lol:
    Its awful when the internet goes down ..what on earth did we do before it..mind you my GC cant believe we didnt have a phone...of any kind... :lol:

    The party is tomorrow Elizabeth 29th March halfway between the two birthdays you see. Hubby and i are thinking of eating out, but will be on taxi duty - picking up the chair covers ballooons etc :roll:

    Catie it IS cold proper cold here :roll:

    I passed on your bestests to Cris - she knows we care about her Barbara/Elizabeth and anyone else l forgot.

    Mig I would love an hotcross bun...we got some last week and now I am craving one...with loads of fruit in... :D
    The sun is shinning...my OH is not working...so off I go today...wont be far but who cares...there are lots of baby lambs been born nearby so will ask the farmer can we feed feed them... :D
    The kettle is on the hotcross buns are warming..with lashing of butter thanks mig..

    If I don't make it to the party you'll know I've been kicked off the laptops!

    Easter is a a washout then? Although it is sunny and dry here the temp is very low.

    Thanks for passing on our wishes to Skezier Toni. I do miss her and just worry about her. Hope the party goes well. x

    I'll have a hot cross bun to warm the cockles :)

    Evening all
    we have had a lovely day cold but sunny... :D
    Had a pub meal....bought some Easter eggs...and minded the baby for an hour... :D:D
    Dont forget the clocks go forward this weekend....so it will be light longer yeah...
    I will toast one of Elizabet's hot cross buns....ooh that sound odd... :o with lashing of butter...I wish..hope you all have had a goodish day

    Evening all, sorry to have been awol. Just so so worn out, yesterday I slept all day near enough. And today I have had to spend more time in bed. And still feeling as if I have done a marathon.

    Hope the joint party goes well today, or am I so so late again.

    I must admit, I had a lovely hot cross bun for my lunch, but not toasted.

    Hope you are all okish and coping well.

    I am going to have a cuppa and sit by the window and snuggle up for a while.

    Aww Karen...you have worried about Atos ..and now with the pain it has catched up with you...so now the girls are off school you can hopefully get a lie in....

    Karen, hope you are feeling less tired today. It's awful feeling so tired all the time.
    Hope the party went well Toni. If it had been tonight, I could have sang a few songs and had a boogie. The amytriptylene has been knocking me out for 9 1/2 hours most nights but tonight I'm wide awake at half past midnight and have been boogieing to David Bowie on tv and now there's an 80s disco on. Is there any of that bubbly left Barbara?

    Sorry to hear you had a bad night Mig. I keep hearing about the game "angry birds" think maybe I shall have a go.

    I've put the kettle on, so if you would like to join me with a cuppa and some cheese on toast(that's Barbara's fault, ever since she mentioned it) But, it is lovely with tomato sauce on.

    Wasn't feeling bad just very restless,you know one of those times when you just can't settle.
    You can get the game free on some phones and I-pad type thingies (is that spelt right).

    We woke to a carpet of snow, but thankfully it's all disappeared.

    My daughter received 'another' package on Thursday with the same message - 'Love xx. This time it was a giant rabbit :lol:. Still haven't a clue who it is. :?

    Applerose, I'm wondering if any of us would be able to mount a camel :lol: Perhaps we should choose another destination...one where it's not illegal to partake in a drink or two :)

    Toni, I hope the party goes well. I'm sure they'll have a great time :)

    How strange a few of you had a restless night...I kept waking up thinking my youngest GD 7 months was sleeping here...and hearing her cry ... :o

    Karen I have angry birds....you pull them back on a elastic band and let them go ...knocking down buildings and such

    Catie, I'm curious to find out who your daughter is getting these presents off too. Very romantic. Hope her boyfriend doesn't mind. Unless they are really from him.
    Well we could try getting on elephants or maybe best if we do what Catie suggests and go somewhere else. Caribbean maybe?
    Remembered to take my Amitrip early so will have a quick hot choccie and head off to bed. Hope I get to sleep earlier tonight.

    I have hotcross bun loaf here very nice toasted.....couldn't get the buns we like they were all gone... :roll:
    Today we are not doing much....just eating chocolate...has anyone got the Ald* ones ...there chocolate is delicious.... :D

    We have loads of cream eggs -over 40! I do love them but I'm not planning to eat them all at once.

    Have we heard from Toni yet? I hope the party went well Toni.

    It is so cold. I need to put the cafe fire onand then sit in my favourite rocking chair.

    Afternoon all

    Barbara, the only one with easter eggs is the youngest, H wanted money in stead. Me, I did tell Tony no, but because of the other day he came home with a big box of thorntons. I cant leave them alone. Yum yum.

    I went out yesterday and tried to get another easter egg for youngest, and would you believe there were none to be found. So she had one easter egg and some choccies. She's happy with that.

    Hope you all have a wonderful day today, and don't eat to much choc(yeh right, as if we can resist).


    Whats all this about bikinis and sun tan cream and sunny climates. Whatever is going on....can I come to. Pretty please with a cherry on top. :)

    Caribbean it is then. Bikini and sun cream packed and ready to go.
    I remembered all day yesterday about the clocks changing. Woke up this morning and made some breakfast to take back to bed. Checked the clock when I'd finished and decided to stay in bed for another half an hour before my son picked me up to go to my dil's parents for Sunday lunch. After a few minutes, I turned the tv over and just happened to see the time. It was 25 minutes before I was being picked up. I'd forgotten to change my clock as I went to bed. Just as well my son was half an hour late picking me up. Had a lovely lunch and spent time with my grandkids while they ate and ate their eggs.
    Hope you've all had a lovely Easter Day.
    I won't have anything to eat or drink as I'm full of dinner and chocolate as my boss's mum gave me a big egg. :D

    Good Morning all, i hope you have had a good weekend, i spent yesterday steam cleaning my kitchen with a little hand held steamer, im impressed with it. the slaved over dinner and went on strick when it came to the clearing up lol,

    today i have to some how get up in the loft :shock: god help lol.

    need coffee before i even think of trying, oh and to drop daughter off at work first, if there was ever any doubt about me being insane i think the loft trip will wipe it out lol

    kettle is on for those who follow, have a good day xxx

    Tea would be great coco,just going to make some bacon butties.
    Just paid water and council tax bills,need to sit down and recover.

    We will rock you show on Saturday was awesome,we went to the pub for lunch beforehand had surf an turf,good day all round. Mig

    Today we will be going out....the girls want dropping at the cinema...so not sure what we will get up to...will update you later... :D
