Elizabeth, Hayley always has a certain pair of trousers from a supermarket. And she has the same problem. They have stopped doing them. It is so annoying.

Elizabeth thankyou for letting us know about Elnas mum...I really do feel for her..even though she had been poorly it is always very very sad and hard to lose your mum...
I did ask about having both hips done...but he said no...silly really after they have messed me about for so long....I will be no better off after having one done...
Catie do you want some more ironing to do...I hope hubby is recovering well
Karen I am so pleased they liked Hs work...she will be apprehensive but I am sure once she gets there ...she will soon settle in...I do wish her well
Its pouring down here....and really dull....so I will sit in the cafe and watched people go by....
    See you all later xx

some get both hips replaced at the same time. I think it must hinder recovery though as you do need to get mobile as soon as possible after a THR and 6 month gap seems usual. One good replacement will encourage you for the next (says I who am petrified about another op)

Which subjects will she be studying Toni? Yep I will look online and see if any of the trousers are still available. After purchasing the one pair (to check they fitted nicely) I was too unwell to go back and buy more.

Barbara maybe you should ask on LWA if anyone has had both hips done at the same time and see how they coped. I'm sure I have read some members have had both done at same time.

Raining today  but I suppose its good for the garden.

Will help myself to a bacon sarnie,

    Elizabeth

    Morning all

Barbara, how are your hips today. I Hope you are feeling a bit better. And I remember that person. She was only young if I remember correctly.

Maybe you need to go a lot further back, it's worth a look.

Toni, doesn't feel good when your young ones get themselves sorted. We are just waiting for the letter of confirmation now.

It is chucking it down here. Gone is the warmth of the sun :(

I shall join you Barbara, and have a cuppa, not the bacon and cheese on toast though, I've already had my brekkie.

Hope you all have a goodish day.

It is possible to have both hips replaced at the same time, but it takes 'a lot longer' than a single hip operation to rehabilitate fully. Age is also an important consideration when a Surgeon advises a patient as to what he/she considers is the best way to proceed. So, if your Surgeon feels that 'a hip at a time' is best for you - it will be :).

    Morning again...
The sun is shinning.... :D for now
Karen...I am having lazy day...rest these hips for my hols...I was so near cancelling yesterday...till my son and partner came up ..and like they say I can sit by the pool with a mag...I wont though..there is no keeping me down...so it will be taxis to certain places then the wheelchair..and if I can walk with it I will...
I am so glad H is sorted...for now that is if she is anything like my eldest GD.. :?
MrO...my surgeon does not do both hips or knees full stop....I think it might be the time factor...but I have not given up yet ..I will ask again before the op...
    have a goodish day everyone
    See you later xxxx

Right I'm grabbing the carrot cake. Thank you Coco,

Its a taking-it-easy-day today, have no forms to fill in and nothing that must be done! Could have done with some sunshine but its pouring instead,

    Afternoon all

Hope you are all as good as can be.

The weather down here doesn't want to make its mind up whether to be bright or dull at the mo.

I am with you Elizabeth, a nice lazy day if possible. Had to take lots of extra meds last night, so much pain. So this morning I feel I have been run over by a steam roller.

Coco, is there so carrot cake left, I do love that. And I hope your flare go away quickly for you. Take it easy please.

Barbara, hope you are managing to get some packing done. Not long now eh.

Shall see you all later. Take care.

We've had hail here as well Mig and now it's sunny. Wednesday and Thursday I had all the windows flung open and today we've had the heating on :?

Barbara, I can imagine the prospect of a holiday when you're feeling so poorly is really daunting - been in that same position myself. Just hope you feel a little better soon.

I can't remember the last time I had a nice rice pudding ...love it...but I'm the only one here that does. Both my mum and her mum made a really good one - mine was never as good :).

Hope everyone has had a good day :)
