Just a quick one thank you so much,,,,and I have updated my insurance...only cost me £7.5p...phew...I was worried they could have charged me anything being so last min they know we would have paid...so if anyone want the details of this insurance company....they were by far the cheapest with medical conditions..
Will see you all on the14th..I hope this weather continues for you all...bye xxxxxx

Have a lovely time Barbara, you will be missed in the cafe.

I have sat in the garden for most of the day reading one of my books (library book so need to finish it by Thursday).

It has been so lovely sitting under the Apple tree. I wish I could do it more often,

Have a great time Barbara hope the weather is good for you.
So walked into health centre to find the queue for having bloods done was standing room only,I was number 53 and they were on 28 !if we had gone before our bus pass started it would have cost us £3.50 ,so we sat and waited ,think they were so busy because of the bank holiday. We went into town got himself a new jacket and jeans plus a new suitcase .The burger was delicious ,I have one about twice a year.Hope you have all had a relaxing day in the sunshine and remembered to put sun screen on.
The deck chairs look comfy outside the cafe. Mig

Elizabeth, glad you had a lovely time in the garden. It does sound wonderful, sitting under an apple tree. It does so remind me of when I lived at home. We had a massive garden then (looked like a park) and we had apple, plum and all sorts. Oh the summer days in that garden. Sorry....got carried away there.

Mig, so glad you enjoyed your burger. We are lucky down here, we just have to get an appointment at our dr's surgery and usually a small wait. Hope you are ok after all that.

Hope everyone has had a good day, it has been so lovely and sunny. Did I read right, it's not meant to last. NNNnnnooo. Please let it say now. :)

Elizabeth, hope you manage to steer your daughter away from her 'admirer'. She shouldn't have to put up with that. Can her teacher not help? Sitting in the garden reading a book under an apple tree sounds heavenly. I'd have loved to have done that today but, unfortunately, I had to work all day. Maybe tomorrow, although the forecast is for not so good weather for the next few days.

Catie, hope your daughter is feeling a little better today.

Mig, what a long wait to get your bloods done. Hope you enjoyed the shopping in town.

Glad Barbara got her insurance sorted out. Wonder what she has been up to over there this afternoon. Sunning herself hopefully.

Yes, Karen, the forecast is for worse weather but maybe, if we all keep our fingers crossed, maybe they'll be wrong.

Oooh, I like the new deck chairs. Might have to pop in when the sun's shining again.

    Morning Mig and Everyone :)

The monthly shop sounds a good idea Mig. It's something we've been intending to do for quite some time, but have yet to do it.

I'm also pleased that Barbara managed to sort her insurance. Now all she has to do is relax - sounds good to me :).

Elizabeth, did you manage to sort a holiday out? What I find is that I have a good day and then am keen to book etc and then the next day don't feel so well and so leave it. Frustrating to say the least :) Not sure what we will do this year.

Hello also to Karen, Applerose, Coco and MrO - hope you're all ok.

I had better get the duster out as my cousin and his wife are coming to stay for a few days. They live in sunny Orlando and quite enjoy our climate - say it makes a change. We went to stay with them a few years ago and boy was it hot - couldn't do a thing :).

    Afternoon all

Yes, it's been chucking it down here. :( but still warm.

Hope you are all having a goodish day so far. I took H to her meeting and now I am suffering. But still have to take her to another one this afternoon. Think I shall be in bed really early tonight. We should have done our weekly shop today but leaving it till tomorrow now. That's something for me to look forward to(I don't think).

Well, Barbara should be down at the pool now, relaxing and reading a good book. Well, I do hope so.

We took the kids to Orlando many moons ago. My memory is of the overwhelming heat - what a mistake to go in July  - should have gone in Oct/Nov. All those Theme Parks gave me nightmares for some time after. The Kennedy Centre was interesting though and The Everglades too. Came back from Orlando absolutely exhausted and my wallet was a lot lighter :D. It was an experience and one I won't be repeating :)

Mr O Orlando would be lovely but a tad noisy for my Son and a lot of walking about. I haven't booked a holiday yet but it needs to have tropical fish (pref on one of those glass bottomed boats), in a sunny place, extreme peace and quiet and very little walking although I'd love to visit ancient monuments etc). The family have friends in Malta and a house in Spain so these are possibilities. My Son also wants to go on a canal boat.

I know the school would act if anything was done in school time Applerose its just the bit walking to school and lining up that worries her. His Mum is lovely and its just when he gets angry (which is often)that he spouts off.

I have had a try at sleeping but keep getting interrupted

Catie I'll give you a hand to tidy up no problems

Elizabeth I agree the parks might be too hectic for your son - wonder if they do quiet sessions as he can't be alone in that :?

Hi Karen it's just started raining here and was raining first thing too but in between...SUN!!

Mig I do a monthly heavy stuff online shop too and time it's arrival for when the kids are in ;)

Catie, meant to ask you, did your cousin retire to Orlando? I'm interested to know because a friend of mine is intending to do just that.
Toni, yes May would have been better :).

    Morning everyone

Hope you all had a goodish night sleep.

It was lovely here first thing this morning but now it is overcast. As long as it doesn't rain I'm ok with that.

Mr O, I would have loved to go to Orlando, but I cant see us going now. But I have been to many other places before I settled down to married life.

Well, weekly shop day is here, and we cant put it off again. The girls eat us out of house and home. But at least they both have very good apetites.

Eldest is doing her exams today and tomorrow for her Art. I think I am more nervous than she is. She loves exams. Would you believe it.

    Morning Karen and All

We have the sun, but the wind is picking up now. The forecast said strong gales this evening

Good luck to your daughter Karen - hope she does well. I didn't mind exams, but found the run-up to them, very tedious.

Mr O, my cousin was born in USA. My english aunt emigrated to Canada in the sixties and eventually married a chap from USA - they had three children. As for retiring to Orlando....oh dear :). Having said that, there are some nice areas around Orlando.

Toni, thank you for your offer :). We are now spick and span and awaiting their arrival. They are staying with my sister at the moment in Kent.

Elizabeth, trying to find a holiday which will be suitable for your son must be difficult. At least you have family who live in nice places :).

Hello to Mig and Christine. Hope Coco is ok :)

There's NO way I would want to retire to Florida or any part of the USA, but each to their own I guess. One of my sons and his family live in France and that is more of a draw.
Catie, I think Norfolk will be a bit of a culture shock for your cousin, what with no motorways and that dodgy road, the A11 :).

I hope the exams go well for your Daughter Karen.

Just had a lovely watercolour class. I've treated myself to new paints and brushes and it did make a difference. Came home and OH had made me a tiramasu (it was gorgeous). However I've put on 8lbs since I started feeling better  .

I just got soaked and now it is sunny. Perfect for the flowers though. I hope that wasn't our Summer.

I was planning to go to Disneyland Paris but then my Son started asking about noise so thought better of it.

    Cuppa for me please

Mig, hope your OH manages to get his jacket ok.

My son and daughter keep saying I should order my shopping from online but there's only me, I don't buy many tins or bottles and like to choose my own fresh food. Hope you got yours done Karen.

Catie and Elizabeth, hope you manage to sort a holiday for this year.

Elizabeth, what did you paint? I'd love to be able to paint but, whenever I've tried, it looked like a 4 year old had done it.

Glad you enjoyed some of Orlando Mr O. At least you've been there, done that now.

Karen, hope your daughter's exams go well. I used to enjoy doing exams at school. Not sure I'd like it now though.

Toni, hope your kids do well in their exams. It's a nerve-racking time for them.

Windy here today. It started raining a little this afternoon and has just poured down. At least I didn't have to go out and water the plants today.

    Morning Everyone :)

Good luck to all the youngsters taking exams. I think one of the hardest parts of the whole process is waiting for the results.

Coco, it sounds as if you need a bit of luck sent your way. Nice to see you posting.

Elizabeth, I'm glad you enjoyed your art class. I was never into painting etc, but love cross stitch.

MrO, you are right about the A11 :). Where in France does your son live, if you don't mind me asking?

Toni, I also love France and would move there like a flash, but hubby wouldn't. Wonder if he would follow if I left :lol: :lol

    Christine, how's little Ruby?

Karen, did the physio help you at all?

I think Barbara chose the right week for her hols don't you? It's still so windy here.

I just started painting at a carers club and then because it was so relaxing and fun and you get to socialise (something I very rarely do nowadays) I joined a class. We seem to paint flowers a lot but last 2 classes have been the seaside.

I like that it also inspires my daughter to paint and she is my biggest fan/ critic.

Nice to see you back Coco. It is good that your girls are studying hard.

Well we have now got 3 damaged laptops! One has crashed hard drive, one has a virus and one gets stuck in the windows start up but never progresses(it has done this before). The crashed hard drive laptop is only about 15 months old and cost £600! So will have to contact Dell and see whether they will fix it for free otherwise my comp man can do it but it will cost.

Right I'm off to get that sorted. Wish me luck,

    Elizabeth x
