Good to see you posting Coco. Hope your flare is easing off.
Catie, I think you are right. Barbara is missing this terrible wind and rain. Hopefully, we'll have good weather for her to come back to. Thank you for asking about Ruby. I haven't seen her for nearly 2 weeks as I've had a bad cold and didn't want to risk passing it on to her. I've spoken to my son on the phone and all is well. Her weight is going up just as it should. Hope to see her and the others this weekend.
Elizabeth, the art class sounds really relaxing and fun. It's good that you and your daughter can enjoy painting together. 3 laptops broken at once? I do hope you manage to get them fixed cheaply.
Hope the deck chairs haven't blown away. Think I might sit by the window with a strawberry milkshake.Christine0 -
I would recommend the Toshi#a Satellite range for laptops. Good value from approx £350 to £1000+ (depending on budget) and in my experience are very reliable.0

Deck hairs are well anchored down but my lilac tree has just come down,it was always a bit spindly but lasted about twenty years, shall have to get something sorted as it had bird feeders hanging in it.
Got some fresh Manx kippers for tea shall have them with crusty brown bread and butter.
Hope you are feeling a bit better coco.
Glad Ruby is doing ok.
Got a lovely big bruise from my blood test on Tuesday.
Hugs to all (((()))) Mig0 -
Evening all
Not been well today, spent most of the day in bed. But when the youngest got home it all started. She somehow fell of her bed and I ended up taking her to a&e. No broken bones, but it is very swollen and painful. Just got back. Put her to bed with ice and some pain killers.
Coco, good to see you, sorry you are having a flare. Hope you manage to get through it ok.
Elizabeth, I used to love painting, Art was always my subject at school. Maybe I should think of taking it up again. You have me thinking.
Mig, sorry to here about you're lilac tree, what a shame. Kippers, I love them, the only one though. I remember on a Saturday night my mum would bring the kitchen table into the front room and we would have our tea of kippers whilst watching Dr. Who. Good memories.
And Catie, bet you can't wait to see little Lucy. She is doing so well.
Well, all I can say is, thank goodness it is the weekend. I need a lay in for sure.Karen xx0 -
Morning all, cold and overcast this morning, would have put porridge on but I can't seem to make it properly,so there's toast with jam, marmalade or honey and the tea urns bubbling away.
It's my sisters golden wedding so we are going out for a meal tonight, going to a carvery ,glad I haven't got to cook today,oh is doing bacon and mushroom sarnies for lunch .hope you all have a good day. Mig0 -

It chucked it down last night with winds. It did again this morning, but this afternoon I have the washing out.
I do wish the weather would make up its mind.

Would anyone like any rhubarb? It must like this weather as it's gone crazy this year.
Christine, I'm sorry your cold has hung around for so long, but glad you're on the mend. I think you will see a big difference with Ruby when you meet up
MrO, I know that area of France quite well - your son is lucky to live there. I know the employment situation is worse than here, so was it difficult to find work?
Toni, do you think you might be tempted to buy a property at that show? Go on, we could all come and visit
Hope everyone is having a nice day. We have sun and showers here. My daughter has taken our American rellies to Norwich shopping. I bet they will come back laden0 -

A few years ago he was doing some charity work and met a French girl who was doing the same. Eventually they married and have settled in the area where she was born. They are both doctors and didn't have any difficulty finding work. However, you are right Catie, the employment situation is pretty dire.
Toni, enjoy the French Show and don't be tempted0 -
Ah well Catie and MrO you have sussed me we really ARE thinking about getting a place. HONESTLY.
My husband had a villa in Orlando of all places ( I was there when my back finally went and I lost the use of my leg), we sold it and had a caravan in Exmouth, but got rid of that as the kids aren't interested so now.....???
We shall see eh;) My Mum was french - I am really Antoinette

Toni
Good Luck with your new venture. My only advice (for wht it's worth) is to beware of 'The Mistral' . A beautiful country and the people are so welcoming.0 -
Morning everyone
Mr O, you are he first in the café today. Hope you have helped yourself to a coffee.
The weather here is lovely at the moment. Have all my washing out. Yesterday, I had to bring it in and re-spin it all. It was soaked.
I am going to have some cheese on toast and a hot choc for brekkie. That does sound good. Just as well it's cyber food, think I might be sick otherwise.
Hope everyone has a good day in what ever they intend to do. And as pain free as possible.Karen xx0 -
That's such a pretty name Toni0

Good evening everyone.
I agree with Catie. Antoinette is a very pretty name. How exciting Toni. Hope it all goes well for you.
What a shame about your washing Karen. Hope you managed to get it dry. I love getting my washing out on the line.
Glad you had a lovely evening Mig. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.
Went up to see Ruby today. She's 5 lbs now. Still not actually due for another 3 weeks. My son and dil still feel a bit strange having her there at home. And she sleeps for 6 hours during the night. How lucky can you get?
Hmmm, hot chocolate with marshmallows, I think. Over by the fire as the temperature has dropped a little.Christine0 -
Morning all hope everyone is doing ok, been wet and windy here all weekend, got my phone back and my contacts were still there but everything else was wiped off so spent ages yesterday trying to set it back up to how it was,
kettle is on, have a good day xxxx0 -
Afternoon everyone
Hope you are all goodish at the mo.
Coco, so glad you have you're phone back and with all you're contacts there. It would have been a nightmare to put them all back in.
I am not taking the chance today with the washing. Thank goodness for tumble dryers.
Catie, that's brilliant, she is doing so well. And I can understand they are concerned. It must be rather frightening for them. She sounds like a little gem, going through the night near enough.
Mig, have you had your appointment yet ??. Let us know how it goes wont you.
And everyone else that I have missed, sorry. Hope you are all doing okish.Karen xx0 -

Glad you got your phone back Coco. I always said I could manage without mine but the few times I've left it at home when I've gone out, I've worried that I might miss something important.
Don't blame you not putting your washing out Karen. It's been dry and windy here today so good for drying.
8 years Toni? Wow but I guess they are all different and all get there in the end.
Good news Mig. Glad you got to stay on the humira. That sounds like a good breakfast.
Well I woke up this morning and before I opened my eyes, I thought I might have breakfast in bed then, if the weather was decent, I might spend some time in the garden. When I opened my eyes, I suddenly realised it was Monday, not Sunday, and I had to get ready quick for work. I finished at lunchtime so did manage to get some weeding done which was quite relaxing.
Hope everyone is wellish.Christine0 -
Mig
