    Wow Coco!!

    What a great Day :D

It's LOVELY to see SNOWBALL here :D and Roses too :D

It's lovely having the caféack and at the top of the page every day isn't it?

The french show was good, yes and yes I saw LOADS I wanted to buy. They are in the middle of a triple-dip recession out there so prices are low. Fingers crossed we might be able to get somewhere out there. Prob is hubby prefers the Dordogne as there are loads of British there, but it's more expensive.

    We shall see eh?

Elizabeth it's french holidays, (food YUM!!) houses, time-shares etc.

Karen i hope Tony is ok with the possible angina :? and you too.

I am sure i have missed saying hello to someone because there are so many of us here now, but mig I agree with Coco a day like this needs to be enjoyed not spent cooking

Wow, how wonderful Coco. Well done to your son and daughter. Great that Dan relaxed and enjoyed his day. You are rightly proud of them both. Hope you have a lovely relaxing day today.

I've got some duck here Mig. I had some yesterday with rhubarb and ginger sauce. Yummy.

Toni, I don't mention everyone because there are quite a few of us and I can't always remember who said what.

Just a quick hello before we depart for France to stay with our son and his wife. Looking forward to the break as life has been extremely hectic of late. Toni, the house prices have dropped significantly and my concern at this point in time would be that they may fall further . I would therfore factor that into the price if buying. Anyway, I'm sure we all wish you all the luck in the world :).

    Bye for now :)

    Hello to everyone,

Grey and cloudy here again. I long for some sunshine.

Toni, I hope you find your dream home, in France. Half the fun is looking, before having to make that final big decision. My little piece of heaven has always been Andalusia, and I have come close to actually moving there so many times, but something always stops me, which makes me think it`s probably not the right thing for me. So instead, I go as often as I can.

Coco, what a lovely family day. Isn`t it amazing how, no matter how old our children are, their moods are what dictate ours? If they`re happy, then so are we.

Barbara, how lovely that you have your grandchildren with you so much. I`m to become a grandmother twice within three days in October, and that is taking over my every thought right now. Sadly, there is a big distance between us all geographically, so contact isn`t as often as I would like. We will know what "flavour" we`re having on June 3rd and June 6th respectively. One of each would be nice.

Now, a hot chocolate with a kitkat for me.......Rosie.

    Hi Everyone :)

Barbara, you must have let the sun out of your case because it's glorious here :). Hubby has recovered, but in the process lost so much weight. Expect it won't be long before it's all back on :)

Rosie, how wonderful for you to become a grandmother twice over. I hope everything goes well for your family :)

MrO, you make sure you bring some sun back with you and I hope the Mistral doesn't blow you away :D:D:D. Seriously, have a nice break :)

Toni, I expect everything is jumping around in your head today with all the excitement of yesterday. I do hope you find somewhere nice :)

Karen, sorry to hear about your hubby and I hope things are sorted for him soon.

I've a chicken roasting and so had better set too. Take care everyone and I hope you all have the sun :)

Rosie my son is a veteran with severe PTSD ( post tramatic stress disorder) he struggle withh day to day life , crowds sudden noises etc and 2yrs ago was in such a bad way i didnt think id have him much longer, it has taken a massive a mount of support from me and his sisters to get him through to this point so to even attend the water sports was a huge step for him, simple thing like being around strangers, in a strange place etc that most people wouldnt think much off are a massive ordeal for him, this is why im so proud of him for attending . i dont say to much on here normally ref his PTSD,

you are right about the mood and it affecting the rest of the family, i hope you are ok today. xxx

Enjoy your lazy day Mig. I love spicy.

Barbara, hope your husband doesn't dig up the wrong things. Keep your whip handy. My garden is wet and soggy this morning so won't be able to do much out there.

Mr O, have a relaxing holiday with your son. Hope the weather is good for you.

Rosie, fantastic to have 2 GC on their way. I have 2 GC who live a train, a plane and a coach trip away so I go to visit about twice a year and they come here a couple of times. I wish they lived closer but their standard of living is better there. My daughter and her husband plan to move to the other side of the world sometime soon so I'll be seeing even less of them. Thank goodness for skype. My other 3 CH only live a few miles away. Still don't see as much of them as I'd like to because of work, school, spending time with their friends etc.

Rosie, I'm sure it won't take too long for oh to put the weight back on now he has recovered.

Thanks for putting the kettle on Coco. Cuppa out in the garden on the deck chairs. Glad they were under cover and didn't get wet.

    Thanks everyone,

Coco, I think you should talk about PTSD anywhere you can, and raise awareness. Most people don`t recognise the seriousness of it, and just think it will go away. I know a sufferer, and she is literally in hell at times. Hers came as a result of a violently abusive marriage. At times she is physically frozen with emotional pain. Quite literally can`t even brush her teeth, or shower. It`s truly dreadful to witness. I hope your son starts to have more good - well better - days from now on........Rosie.

    Afternoon all

Did you mention Rhubarb crumble Barbara. No need to ask twice, I'm there. I love the stuff. I understand about not wanting the letter but wanting to get it done. Don't worry to much. It won't be long and it will be all over and done with.

Mr.o, have a lovely break at you're son's. Hope you bring back some sunshine for us.

Rosie, how wonderful. Two grandchildren due within days of each other. Bet you are so excited.

Toni, I do hope that if you do get a place we will all be able to come and see you. I love France.

Coco, I am so pleased for you're son. It's all going towards bringing his life back into order. And how lovely that you're daughter was there to support him. Mark you, I bet it's not only you that is exhausted. I bet he really feels it. It was a big thing he did. Good on him.

And to everyone else. I do hope you are having a lovely day. Sorry if I have missed anyone but brain fog has been with me all day. Have been reading you're posts since this morning but forgetting to post myself. Do you reckon there's any hope.

Gosh loads of posts to read!

Coco your Son is doing so well, much of it down to your patience, support and understanding. I hope he is getting support elsewhere too and its not all left to you.

Snowball, how lovely to see you. Glad you remembered your log in :D Hope to see you in the cafe again in future.

apple crumble here, could have added rhubarb compote but needed something sweet

Karen when is the job centre interview? I will be in your pocket. Try not to worry as many others are in your shoes. I've heard of them even sending people home if they are too unwell.

Got to go as need some shopping. Will pop in later

Elizabeth, yes, it's on Thursday at 4pm. And I am dreading it. Silly I know. But that's me for you.

Rosie, a sausage and bacon sarnie sounds lovely. I'll sit by the window and have a cuppa and watch the world go by.

Tony has his e.c.g tomorrow. And we will go to the hospital for his x-rays.
Then next week he has a fasting blood test.

    NO SAUSAGES Barbara!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Full of salt

Seriously though i bet you are mad about it all

If it helps my MIL has kidney failure (dialysis) and cutting out salt almost all together helped a lot in the early days. (she has diabetes and that's why for her). I might have the odd tip if it helps??? You can get low salt gravy etc and cooking with herbs instead can make things tastier too.

Karen I will be in your pocket too for the tests.

Hi Rose....ooo Rose!! Are these your crusts all over the floor in the conservatory

Hi Elizabeth isn't it lovely so many of the 'old' crowd back :)
