Morning all
Hope you are all okish this morning. The weather here is overcast but very warm. I don't mind that.
Barbara, they should be ashamed of themselves. I must admit, I never have salt on my food, or pepper.
Coco, hope you don't feel quite so foggy today. I know you didn't get a good night though.
Mig, where are you going??? And of course it goes without saying, have a super time. I always used to wear nail varnish, but my nails now keep breaking and splitting. Using to much household stuff, probably bleach.
Sorry if I have missed people out. Hope you all have a good day.Karen xx0 -
Morning constable going to York races for the weekend,it's a Xmas present from eldest son and wife. Mig0

Mig, hope you have a lovely day in York at the races. What a lovely present - how thoughtful of your son and his family. I went to Ascot when I was a teenager - will never forget the sound of the horses hooves - amazing . Also saw Lester Piggot ride (shows how long ago it was )
Hope everyone is wellish. Have a good day whatever you do0 -

Evening all
I've done it again. I was convinced I had posted today. But now looking back, I didn't.
Mig, you have a wonderful son and family, to give you a xmas pressy like this. Have a really lovely time. When do you actually go Mig???
Barbara, I must admit, when you first mentioned about sitting by the pond I did wonder
Glad you had a nice time out.
Elizabeth, Coco, Catie ,Roses, Toni, and anyone I have left off. Hope you are all okish.
I am going to have a hot choc and go sit by the window, it's a lovely evening tonight.
ps. We got to the dr's for Tonies e.c.g. and would you believe they had written the wrong time for him. So, he cancelled and it's next week. Also the x-rays. Probably be tomorrow. As he said he does need to be un-stressed. Why can't the receptionists get things right I ask you.Karen xx0 -
Karen thats awful, you dont need to be messed around like that, hope you and tony are ok,
now i read one of us is away or going away or am i really confused now  have a good time
hope everyone else is ok as you can see im still foggy
i will join you all for a cuppa xxx0 -
Barbara, according to Gardener's World, gnomes are back in fashion again. One was left here when I bought this house and I left him by the pond. Couldn't bring myself to throw him out.
Karen, that's happened to me a few times then I can't remember what I'd said. I think it happens when someone else posts while you are still writing yours. How awful to turn up for Tony's appointment to find they'd written the wrong date. Hope the x-rays go ahead ok tomorrow.
Don't worry about being foggy Coco. I'm the same, getting worse by the day.
I think a cuppa and a piece of Barbara's cake. Mmmmmm.Christine0 -
Morning all
Karen poor Tony ..that is awful bad enough having to go without them giving the wrong time
Coco you still in that fog....I hope it clears very soon...and dont worry about forgetting people that is my job....
Christine I have just found out that gnomes are allowed at Chelsea flower show for the first time ever ... I only have oine at the min but use to have a 3ft high one...but we came home of hols a long time ago now and somebody had shot him in the head...
Its is quite cold here and cloudy..come on summer we are waiting...maybe it will be a long one when it comes
I will make a cuppa and sit by the window and watch the world go by... see you all later xxxxxLove
Barbara0 -
popping in for my cuppa.
Barbara I love the way GP said you knew   How will they monitor you?
Yep got my shopping done. I only needed a few bits (cards and wrap paper and ice cream). Ended up spending over a £100.Have to hide the nice stuff as my 2nd Son eats it all.
Karen 4 o clock is an awkward time. Hope it doesn't wear you out.
Very dry throat so must get that cuppa. Have you found the kettle yet Coco?

Morning Everyone
Had to smile this morning as our neighbours were packing up their car for a break to Cornwall. In go the bags etc ....and.... trays of seedlings from the greenhouse . I did comment that I would always water for them, but they said they 'always' took their plants with them. Never heard of that before .
Barbara, I think gnomes are becoming quite popular of late as I've seen more in garden centres. I think they're quite cute, especially by garden ponds.
Coco, you are right, one of us is away - it's MrO and he's in France
Karen, what a mix up. I think the way they mix up appointments, info etc is quite worrying really.
Wonder if there's any cheesecake in the cafe....really fancy some0 -
When is MrO back?? Tell him I have booked a couple of days in July
Hope Elixabeth got that cuppa??...if not here's one for you - it's a 'builder's'
Catie your neighbours are odd...I woudl let you water my plants any day ::)
Hi Barbara - I saw the Gnombies on the chelsea flower show programme too. I rather like them myself
Christine i am glad you have given yours a good home and not kicked him out
Hope Coco IS less foggy and I agree with you it's awful to be mucked about. They have no idae how stressful appointments are for us lot ::)0 -
Evening all
Elizabeth I haven't a clue how they will monitor me....he was very vague...you enjoy the nice stuff... sounds a bit like our house
Catie it did make me laugh ..taking there plants on holiday...bless..yes I do love gnomes...but hubby hates them....am I bothered....
Toni good for you booking some days away..what part of France are you going to...maybe we could all come and help you look for a place...
I am sooo tired..I must need another holiday...
I hope you all sleep well and will see you tomorrow xxxxxx
And dont forget we all need to be in Karen's pocket...good luck xxLove
Barbara0 -
Oh Barbara, your poor gnome. I don't know what anyone gets out of causing damage like that.
Elizabeth, it's so easy to add a few more things to your basket, isn't it? I've often done that.
Wish I'd taken my seedlings with me when I flew to Dublin, Catie. I'm sure I could have squeezed them in my suitcase. They didn't look very well when I came back.
Glad you've got your break in France sorted Toni. I'm sure you'll have a good time.
I'm ready to jump in to Karen's pocket.
My fingers have been quite painful for the last few days but were better this morning. Got home this afternoon and, without thinking, I got the shears out and cut back part of the hedge. Didn't want to use the electric ones because there are baby birds in there. Oops.
Think I'll have a hot chocolate by the fire. Hope I don't fall asleep there.Christine0 -
Well it looks like I'm the first in the cafe, so had better put the kettle on....
Karen, I'm thinking of you today and hope all goes well
Barbara, hope you are less tired this morning. I recognise that feeling of coming home from a holiday and feeling the need for another one, in order to recover from the last one
Talking of holidays Toni....Glad you have booked a few days in France
Christine, isn't that always the way...something is hurting - then feels better and you forget that it's been hurting and so carry on - only to realise that the problem is back.
Am I rambling today...yes probably lol. Hope everyone is wellish and enjoying better weather than we are (8 - 10 max today)0 -
Morning all
Catie I felt so much better in the dry heat..I thought is it the distraction or the heat...because when its warm here my joints are worse...so it must be the dry heat abroad... I have suffered since I came home...well thats my logic... and dont worry about rambling I will join you...
Karen I am thinking about you today...hope it goes better than you think.x
It is cloudy here again....but hubby is fitting a new fire surround...I got a bargain off a friend....
I am sitting on my stool and trying to bake...so I will bring some in when its finished...not sure what Im making yet... :?
See you all later xxxxx
Just spotted its snowballs birthday today..Happy Birthday I will go and start a thread...Love

Hello everyone,
Just popped in to see what`s happening. We all seem to be sick to death of this weather, I know I am. Apparently it`s the coldest Spring since 1979, and the third coldest of all time. Knowing that hasn`t made me feel any better.
I`ve been having a wander round the baby department in Asda, and they have some gorgeous stuff, at very reasonable prices. I`ve been told not to buy anything until we know what we`re having though. I did buy two pairs of teeny weeny white satin bootees, and now I`m sitting looking at them in amazement, knowing full well that, tiny as they are, they will probably be big to start with.
Barbara, regarding your monitoring. Keep on at them. It makes all the difference, because there are no other symptoms. I just have to take a urine sample in every six months, and they can tell what`s happening from that.
Right, a hot chocolate, while I wait to see what Barbara has baked......Rosie.0 -

I used to wear orange all the time.I had my fave orange mini skirt and orange top with a big multi coloured target on and orange adidas trainers. I'd never dare to wear them now though!

Good luck with the appointment Karen. Congrats to your Daughter.
Hugs to everyone else, sorry can't name you all as cafe is getting busier by the day! Rest those aching joints.

Rosieglow when is baby due? Oh this is so exiting!!!
Barbara the monitoring should be via urine and some blood tests. I hope the baking went well??
Hi Catie
Like you and Christine I always overdo it when things are good ::)

"Rosieglow when is baby due? Oh this is so exiting!!!"
TWO babies Toni, due within three days of each other, in October. OMG, I`ve come over all funny again thinking about it! I`ll have one of them caramel thingies that you`re having please.0 -
Happy new fire surround Barbara. I like getting new things like that. Ruby is doing very well. Thanks for asking. She is putting weight on. She had an eye test last week. They put drops in her eyes then held them open while they did the tests. Poor thing had sore eyes when they'd finished. She's ok now though.
Rosie, I always wander round the baby clothes. Have to stop myself buying too much for my GC. I only get things for the babies as the older two (9 and 11) are very particular about what they wear. It's wonderful buying for them when they are tiny.
Hi Fowles. Wow, sunglasses are definitely needed. I had a pair of bright orange trousers when I was a teenager. Don't think I'd wear them now though.
Glad you're enjoying the painting Elizabeth. Wish I could paint.
Catie, we have had hailstones here too this afternoon. Couldn't believe it when I looked out the window. They were only small ones though.
Oh Toni, a caramel macchiato sounds good. I think that's what I used to have in the college cafe. And one of Barbara's jam tarts. Need to sign off now as fingers and wrists are giving up now. Hope everyone else isn't too bad.Christine0 -
Morning all
Christine sorry I missed you last night...poor little Ruby...I hate to see children and babies in pain...but I am glad they are doing all the checks on her....fingers crossed for good results...OH doesn't like the fire surround says its too modern...

Rosie...October ...dont want that to come yet we need some sun..bet you cant wait...
