Morning all,
Barbara, WIMBLEDON YAY. love IT. But I will have to watch it on my lappy. Tony hates it. So I shall drive him mad because I will have my ear phones on. And probably shouting and all sorts.
Down this way, we are meant to have reasonable weather. Maybe a couple of showers later. Fingers crossed everyone.
I have sat here this morning trying to get all bills and other paperwork sorted out and head is now spinning. I have a pile of ironing to do as I was not well last week. Might have to gather the energy to do it.
ps. Is there a teas made, for us no coffee drinkers. Do they actually exist any more???
Barbara, I shall talk with H's school on Thursday when we go for the graduation in the afternoon. That is as to when and where she will get her results from. Mark you, considering how much school she has missed out on (over 1 year) she had caught up and done even extra work. So she should be fine.
Hey, if there is a body in that tunnel, we could have a mystery on our hands.
Elizabeth, I am sorry...I forgot to ask how your sunburn is doing. Hope it is easing up now.
Hope everyone has a good day today. I certainly know where quite a few of us will be this afternoon. Sitting on our couches watching the telly ( or lappy).
Have a good one.Karen xx0 -
Hi Karen so glad you got your bills sorted. At least it is now out of the way for the time being,
I have managed a few things myself today.

Has H done her GCSEs this time Karen? If so they come out around about 24th August and A levels about 17th ish ish ish
You and Barbara must enjoy Wimbledon - I shall have one eye on it too - I used to ADORE it when I was younger 105 is a good age isn't it? Incredible - l bet we will see more and more of it in future. Not me though not known for longevity my lot :?
Teasmades do still exist Karen, but I think you can't beat a nice POT so I got some of the ones with a pot on top of a cup on top of a saucer. Lots of lovely pastel colours to match the paint in the loos :? All sort fo tea for you to choose from too from builders to fruit, earl grey to Indian. Hope there is something you like there
I am so glad you met Beryl - she sounds lovely I see Roses1 a fair bit as we live in the same town and janie68 is down the road about 11m away. I will see our Cris skezier on Thursday when I take my step-daughter down for a week to 'help out'

Morning all
Just popped in for a quick cuppa. Toni, thanks for the cup with pot on top and I shall make myself an earl grey. That is the only drink I have. My brother says I am drinking dirty dish water, but I like it. And for the variety of tea's I shall try them all.
H has actually finished last week. So she has not been into school at all. Not until this Thursday for her graduation.
Had a bad night, hence being in the café so early. Tony got the results of his bloods and he now has diabetes would you believe.
Right I have filled the coffee machine. Hope I've put the coffee in the right place. Put the grills on to warm up for you and had a general tidy up.Karen xx0 -
Lovely sunny mornin here hope it lasts.Going out for lunch so no cooking for me today.
Two guys disappeared from the club ,hope its not them in there.Cris might remember all about it.

Good afternoon all
Hope you've all had a goodish day.
Barbara, thank you for your b/day wishes. I've been spoilt as usual. But still had to go and do the weekly shop. Wow, that was so tiring. I am sure me and Tony are getting slower and slower.
Still no Coco. I hope you are not to bad, and we do miss you.
And Barbara, you are right, it is very quiet in here today. Probably everyone watching the tennis.Karen xx0 -
Glad you are having a lovely birthday but shame you had to do the weekly shop.
Toni I hope you found the passports which reminds me must ask OH if he's put his safely back in the safe. Yep he had a good time and, well, I did enjoy doing things my way. He was a bit moany about the head lice as if they were my fault  but think he was just tired so I'll let him off.
What 2 guys are missing? Mr O is in OZ-maybe it was him that dug the tunnel???
Please give Cris Skezier and almighty hug from me. I miss her very much and am sad her eyes are so bad. She has suffered so much and is not one for complaining. Hoping all her creatures are doing well too.
I do like tennis but usually wait until the final 16 before watching.
I love Earl Grey so I'll have a cup with Karen.
Barbara take it easy. Don't want you falling.
Hugs to Coco wherever she may be and all the other regulars. Not seen Catie lately...?

Luckily it's not Paul and my passports but the two big 'uns used them for ID
Glad Elizabeth that OH had a good time. My husband used to be cross about headlice too...like it's our fault?!!
No sign of the passports yet.

Karen I am glad to hear you have been thoroughly spoilt and quite right too

Evening all
Toni hope they have found the passports...honestly I am the carer of our passports including our GDs...
Christine I am sorry your hand are painful...its must be rotten ..have you ever had injections or have I asked this before...
Elizabeth these head lice are hardy little things ...hopefully they will say away once they have been shampooed...its strange but they seem to die off on there own sometimes....must depend on the time of year
My pre-op went ok...it was long and drawn out due to the kidney thing...and they didnt like the fact I can choose which hip I am having done its my blinking hip....
So I am on track for the 10th July..
I will put my feet up and have a cuppa...xxxxxLove
Barbara0 -
Hi Barbara just posted on your other thread, have a biscuit with that cuppa.
Pouring down here and quite chilly you keep warm. Mig0 -
Afternoon all
Barbara, glad everything went ok for you on you're pre op assessment. Not long now. And how dare they question your decision of which hip you want done. Have you decided yet???
Hope everyone has had a goodish day. Weather very warm down here. Muggy.
Elizabeth, I thought I was the only one who loved earl grey. Thank goodness you're a lover of it. Just made a pot if you are interested.
Today went very well. H has now finished. I think, at the mo, she is a bit dazed.Karen xx0 -
Hi all
Mig it turned out to be miserable here after a lovely morning...what a country...
Karen I will be asking for my left hip it was the first one to cause trouble..
I am gad H has now finished..onward and upward for her...
And I like Earl Grey but hubby doesn't....he likes a strong brew
I am off to bed soon when the middle GD goes.. she has been off today due to the strike..
I hope you all sleep well...see you tomorrow xxxxLove
Barbara0 -
Glad your pre-op is out of the way now Barbara. Rest up now and make sure you're as well as you can be for the 10th. I would think you should be able to choose which hip. As you say, it is your hip.
Earl Grey? My daughter drinks that. When I visit her house, the normal tea bags have taken on the smell of the Earl Grey as they are next to each other in the cupboard. Yuk, too perfumy for me.
Bet H is pleased she's finished now, Karen. I think it can be a bit of a shock finishing school after all those years.
Thanks for wishing my hands well. They're quite a bit better today. Only injection I've had was steroid in me bum. Didn't do a thing for me.
Went to donate blood yesterday afternoon. They have changed the venue. It used to be at the school round the corner from my house but now it is a 40 minute walk. A bus does pass by once every 2 hours but doesn't actually stop there. Fortunately, someone I knew was there and gave me a lift home. I won't be going for my next appointment as it is in November. They had the new chairs. I thought I would be sitting up the whole time but the nurse tipped the chair back so I was almost lying flat with my legs up. I did mention that I felt there was no chance of escape like there was on the beds.
Hi to everyone. Sleep well tonight.Christine0 -
Morning all
and welcome to the cafe forever..just help yourself if there is no one around we do have trouble with the staff... lord in the tunnel...we might get in the papers
Christine I have OA but have injection everywhere..hips back..the hands are the only ones to work...not sure if it will be the same for you but ask about them...I got 6 months out of my last ones...but I am glad to hear they are a little easier for you..40 min walk ..sorry but they wouldn't get me either..the chair sound a bit like the dentist..
I am putting the kettle on and it is raining here.. so I will sit in the window and watch the world go by....hope some of you have the sun...xxLove
Barbara0 -
I'm also surprised you can donate your blood because of the meds Applerose.
Oh Karen I hope H is happy school has now finished and hope her next venture works out well for her. Yes I love Earl Grey but unfortunately don't get to drink it often. I need to buy a box next time I go shopping.
Hope you are all well.
I've blocked up the tunnel as it seems to contain a lot of skeletons so Mr O will have to find another way back.
