Barbara, I'm seeing my rheumie in a few weeks and am supposed to be having xrays so I'll be able discuss injections with him. One of my neighbours gets them in her back and gets about 6 months out of them too. Yes the chairs are very much like the dentist chairs. I can imagine some people won't go near them. So you have a therapy session next Wednesday. I'll jump in your pocket if you need the company. Sounds as if you're getting on well with the painting. Hope you enjoyed your takeaway.

Elizabeth, I'm not on any meds other than paras or cocos when I really need them. I have tried a couple but they affected my liver. I was told to think about mtx about 16 months ago. When I went back to my rheumie to say I'd try it, he had decided not to give me it. He knows I don't like taking anything and felt I could manage with just the paras. Don't like the idea of skeletons coming out of the tunnel. Just as well you have bricked it up.

Glad Cris is doing okish Toni. Sounds as if you had a good time. I'm sure you stepdaughter will have fun.

Poured down all day today but brightened up this evening. Too late though. There is a fire engine/big truck fair at our big park tomorrow. My sister is taking her grandson and my dad so I'm meeting them there rather than going to dad's for the afternoon. Makes a change. Hope it doesn't rain. :?

    Morning all
Christine I hope you have a good day with your dad and sister..fingers crossed the rain stays away...I do feel sorry for anyone that organizes anything in this country...they had a summer fair at my middle GDs old school and they have a fairground there ..it was yesterday.. it was such a shame instead of the school making money they lost
I hope your hands are felling easier and yes you are welcome to jump in my pocket..
Toni how lovely that your step daughter is helping Cris...or is it Cris that is helping her...nothing like life's experiences....they will be good company for each other... :D
Well it is dry for the min...my son partner, little girl and the baby are in a caravan in Wales for the weekend...he rang last night and said they had only walk to the club and were wet through .. :(
Today I have to get things sorted for hospital...I know there is over a week yet but if I leave things... :? the sister said I will be in 3 days...and I am sat there thinking what if you dont feel up to it...is it pay per day..  see you all later...anyone seen rosieglow or Coco around.. :?: xxxxxxxhope you all get some sun

I notice that only Elizabeth has made note of the fact that CATIE has not posted on this forum. The reason it seems is that she is 'seriously' ill in hospital.
How sad that someone who is always so cheerful and caring of others isn't even missed (with the exception of Elizabeth of course). What more can I say :(

    Oh no!!!

MrO do you know how she is??

She has been missing a while as has rosieglow, roses1 Coco67, but unless any of us has her personal details we won't know why.

The only person I could contact in the café would be Roses1 because I have her mobile number.

A worry when you think about it.

    GET WELL SOON Catie

Barbara if you aren't well enough they DO keep you in longer. When my MIL had hers done she was too poorly and she stayed about a week. The plan HAD been for her to have the (I hope this is right  ) SWAT team in at home straight away afterwards. They visit you at home to support you and sort out any worries.

I wish I could take away some of your anxiety, but we WILL be right there with you. Out of interest and in relation to MRO's last post - is someone going to do PA duties for you???

Toni have you heard off your stepdaughter...and thank you I thought they would throw me out on the third day... you could be my PA if you dont mind...I will PM you my mobile...but you might be busy in France ..if you are Joan has offered..but I will give you my mobile whatever...xx

One of the hazards of the AC forum is trying to keep up with all the many posters and their posts especially as many of us suffer from the dreaded brain fog.

The only time I have been upset by being ignored on AC was when it was the 10th anniversary of my Mothers death. I posted it on a general thread rather than start a new topic (so I'm mostly to blame) but the following 2 posters started a conversation about their shopping trip! That didn't feel very nice at all. The lovely Elna posted after them and she was her usual wise, kind self.

I hope Catie is well and hope to see her back in the cafe soon,

Did you have a nice time Mr. O?

    Elizabeth xx

Thank you Toni. Yarm is a lovely little town although the housebuilders have been putting planning permission here, there and everywhere. We have been fighting against it as the town has the river all the way round so there is nowhere to widen the roads. They want to build on our green fields, some of which are wildlife sanctuaries, one which has a major gas pipe running through it and a couple which would mean joining our town to 2 others. And if thousands more people come to live here, it will no longer be our lovely small town.

Thanks Barbara. The plans changed several times this morning. In the end, Dad decided to stay at home so I went to see him. My sisters both decided to still go to see the fire engines. I had been hoping to meet a nice fireman but I couldn't leave dad sat on his own. My hands are still a bit puffy but feel much better. Not too painful now. Oh no. How awful your son and his family are having rain while they are staying in the caravan. Hope they can find something to do. Hope you get your packing done.

Mr O, thanks for letting us know about Catie. Do you know what is wrong with her? Hope she recovers quickly. It is difficult keeping up with everyone as we all take time out now and again for one reason or another. Hope you had a good time.

Just had a bag of hula hoops. Put my hand in to get out what I thought was the last one and there were none left. That's as bad as picking your cup up for another sip to find there is no tea left. :o

I LIKE that Christine the analogy of the tea

Shame they are building in Yarn it looks lovely. Here is not so pretty

I bet your dad enjoyed seeing you - shame about the fireman he he!! Glad your hands are a bit better.

Barbara I would be honoured to help out as PA along with Joan it's good to have two anyway. Am in France from 14-16th July. Pm me and I'll PM you mine.

My Stepdaughter is having a busy busy time and will be up early for the sale tomorrow. All dogs in tow ;) She has sheared sheep, clipped feet groomed horses etc etc!! Fantastic experience.

MrO I forgot to ask how YOU had got on? Did you have a good time??

Elizabeth - when I first joined the forum I was 'ignored' all the time with the exception of one or two Elna of course included. After that Cris came along and then people like yourself and it picked up. I am so sorry about that it must have hurt.

If I don't get on tomorrow till late it will be because we are doing the race for life at Tatton Park - help!!

    Love

Where did I state that Catie was upset? She is too ill to even know what day of the week it is, never mind what happens in cyberland. My point was that Catie always posts on this forum and always offers a kind word of support or encouragement to those who need it. Yet sadly only one person had noticed that she wasn't posting. To be honest, I found that exceedingly sad, particularly as reference was constantly made about others who hadn't posted and even when they do, do not even have the coutesy to read what others have contributed.

I do not have the permission of either Catie or her husband to say what exactly has happened. Suffice to say that Catie is in intensive care and seriously ill. It rather puts into perspective the problems that people in this forum post about. Needless to say, I won't be posting here again.

    Afternoon all

First off. I really do hope things are better for Catie. Poor you, I really hope that you are out of intensive care and get home soon. Sending you some hugs your way.

Barbara, I'm here. Sorry not been around (again) Just the usual pain and problems. Hope you are packing you're bag for you're op. Best to be ready than leaving everything till the last minute like me.

Mr O, you have not said how you're time in Australia went. I hope it was a good time.

Elizabeth I know what you mean. I have at times felt very lonely on here. But then picked myself up and said, well everyone has their own problems. But to do that to you was not nice at all.

To everyone else, I hope you are all having a good day and the sun is shinning down on you all.

Shall have a quick cuppa and then think about doing some ironing. I say THINK about it. Cant promise anything.
    Karen xx
