    Good Morning everyone :)

I hope Barbara is getting on ok today....I'm sure she is and is feeling suitably reassured :) Always available for pocket duties for you :D

Christine I lost yesterday  Not to worry and yes the fire was the one caused by a lantern. I was wondering can they make them so there is 'less' of them to ignite and they go out sooner....I know a lot of people get comfort from them when they have 'lost' someone :(

Elizabeth - Have you rechecked your weight as I agree 7lbs sounds a lot - I am like you 2-3 lbs either way. Wotsits for me - I love 'em  Will Cris come back? I am not sure really she says she might pop in, but I'm not sure. I let her know if there is anything she needs to know though.

Karen I hope Tony feels well enough for his bloods soon :( Sounds like yesterday was busy - I hope today is easier for you.

mig why doesn't he have asparagus??? I LOVE the stuff.:)

Right sorry if I missed anyone must get on hairdresser has arrived!

    Love

Poor Tony Karen. I hope he starts to feel better. Funny you should mention laxatives. I've never needed them  (massive apologies if having your breakfast) but since starting on co drynamol tabs I've gone the other way (I was warned it can cause constipation) so maybe that is causing the weight gain. Clever girl Karen I think that could be it. Better steal some of the daughters movicol.

    Good luck today Barbara.
Tony hope your hair looks nice after hairdresser visit.

I'mVery muggy headed today so intend to have a snooze asap.

Do you know Toni I like prune juice. I seem to remember we had prunes and custard at school and it was lovely. Can you imagine kids today getting prunes for their pudding!!!!!

I'm sitting here with my 2nd dose of head lice killer but today found a live one on Lucy's hair. Back to square one.

Didn't get on the internet at all last night because it was down.

Glad your session went well Barbara.

Toni, can't remember if I congratulated you on doing the Race for Life. I know I meant to. Hope you enjoyed it.

Karen, hope Tony picks up quickly so he can have his bloods done.

Elizabeth, hope you are feeling better today. I love prunes and prune juice too. Years found a recipe for a Xmas cake and you replaced the butter for the same weight in prunes and then cooked it in the usual way. Well, mine was in the oven for 3 days and it still didn't seem cooked. Still wet in the middle. Needless to say, I have never been allowed to forget it.

Thats typical about the injections Barbara. Hopefully the THR will help with the back pain because it helped mine. It also helped my bladder but not sure how!!Maybe I could just get to the loo quicker???

I cannot stop as children are all arriving home. OH is driving a friend to his prom in OH's Dads Rolls Royce so I'm all on my tod this evening but luckily not feeling too bad ATM (this can however change very suddenly).

So best wishes to you all and will try to be less rushed in future,

Barbara, it's just typical isn't it, having everything happen at once. Hope you have a lovely weekend away.

Hope you have a lovely quiet evening Elizabeth and you keep feeling ok ish.

Mig, I enjoy pie and mash. Especially chicken pie and I put lots of butter in my mash.

Toni, I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures. I bet they both had a great time.

My son has an interview for a job tomorrow so I've got everything crossed for him. And my daughter had a call from an agency with something she might be interested in. She is also in talks to see if she will be able to set up her own testing laboratory. So everything crossed for her too.

I hope you have packed your bucket and spade Barbara and have set off now the loo seat has arrived.
Did you toss a coin for the hip? Your other hip will hinder your recovery though which is why I thought they might do both at the same time, although I know they prefer to do one at a time. Hope you don't mind us keep mentioning the op. My THR was the reason I joined AC and was so relieved to get some info on what to expect. The unknown is so frightening.

Hope your Son's interview goes well Christine. I'm wondering what your Daughter tests????? :?

OH was back sooner than I thought, just as the pain set into my feet and I was pushing myself to finish up. The Roller was a bit temperamental by all accounts. It needed a 20 minute rest and a jump start at one point but mission accomplished it got him to the Prom! Many years ago he took an ex girlfriend to her wedding (to someone else I hasten to add) in the Roller and it BROKE DOWN and she had to get a cab to the church. He should have learnt his lesson really.

I a going to sit in the Sun and finish reading my book about Medieval Queens of England. I'm loving it.

Prawns and salad today and the weight has gone down a tad. I have had my blood test this morning and plan to enjoy the rest of the day.

Hoping Karen and Coco are okay.

Hope you were able to finish your book :)

Barbara glad the bits and pieces are safely with you and that you have 'chosen' which hip :?

Christine so far I can't open the discs so will ring Cris tomorrow :( kn*ckers :( I have everything crossed for your son. He deserves a break

Barbara, happy new toilet thingy and stool. So the left hip it is then. Thanks for the good wishes for my son. Unfortunately he didn't get the job. They said they felt he hadn't researched properly. Not surprising as he wasn't even told what the job description was and the kids' dad has filed for residency so the kids had to go to talk to someone about it. His head wasn't concentrating on the interview. Hope you have a fabulous weekend.

Thank you Elizabeth. As I was telling Barbara, my son didn't get the job. I told him there must be something better waiting for him. My daughter doesn't do anything sinister. She used to manage a lab where they test for infections and diseases, sperm counts, anything along those lines they are asked to test. She has also set up a new lab for the hospital on Gibraltar. About a month ago, she took voluntary redundancy. They have been talking for quite some time about going to Oz and opening a lab. Glad OH managed to get the roller to the prom. Maybe it just likes to take it's time. Hope you enjoyed the sun and your book.

Toni, I'm always having problems with that sort of thing. Hope you can get help from Cris to open the discs. Thanks for wishing my son well. I'm sure it'll be better luck next time.

I managed to spend some time in the garden after work. Could only sit for ages but finally got the grass in the front cut and cut down a few brambles. My next door neighbour noticed there were a group of bees hanging about under the eaves of her house but they didn't appear to be going in. And there were quite a few in a shrub in my garden. Today, there was only 1 bee near the roof and not so many in my shrub. I think they were just gathering pollen from my garden but no idea what was going on next door.

    Good Morning Christine :D

You are right about your son. 'something' better is out there for him I am sure.

The residence order business would have distracted anyone never mind only just spotting the job! I hope the kids are ok and feel ok so say whet they want.

I have already been in the garden :)h074.gif Myself and Daisycat have been out deadheading. Well she has been trying to 'attack' me and then 'hiding' in one of the veggie beds

I have washed up super-quick e010.gif Kettle's on and the coffee machine warming up. Caramel macchiatos ready and waiting for anyone who fancies one.....

    maybe pancakes too?

    Good morning all

Sorry not been around. Been overdoing things again and have been in lots of pain.

Barbara, I am so sorry I have missed you. I really do hope you have a lovely weekend. And I shall be in you're pocket next week for your op. It will teach me to get back on here more often.

Hope everyone has a lovely day, the weather is really hot.

Haven't properly read back yet. So sorry for that, but I will.

H has received all the papers to fill in for us getting money for her bus pass and other things needed for college. So, we are going to be inundated with papers and writing.

Am hoping to be able to sit in the garden today.

    All of you take care.

    Hi Karen

I do hope you get a rest outside today - it will do you good :)

This house is full of paperwork too :) University stuff (loan forms etc) as well as college bits for my step-daughter.

I reckon H will love it and it will be totally worth it :)

If you aren't up to reading back don't worry too much.

Let's hope Barbara is enjoying her break :D

Toni, the kids haven't wanted to see their dad for a couple of years now. He is apparently very very strict and they seem scared of him. They have spoken to a few different social workers but it is never the same one. They really need to speak to someone they trust and feel safe with. This time, there was a letter from their dad but they both said they weren't interested in what it said. Wow, you have been extremely busy with all that gardening and washing up. I'm sure Daisycat was doing her best to deadhead.

Sorry to hear you have been in so much pain Karen. Hope you are a bit better now. Don't worry about checking back. Sometimes there is such a lot to read through when it is busy in here. Bet H is feeling quite excited about going to college. Hope you enjoyed sitting in the garden.

I think I'd like a caramel macchiato and maybe a pancake. Thanks for making them Toni.

    No problem Christine

Macchiato and pancakes go well together ;)

Poor kids - I hope they stay strong in their wishes. I don't know how old they are, but they can get strength from each other too.

Daisycat has been 'helping' me all day today bless her.....she really thinks she is you know

Hope everyone has had great weather and feels as uplifted as I do

    Evening all

What a hot day, and even hotter evening. I really wish that the heat wouldmelt away the extra weight I carry around, wouldn't that be wonderful.

I do hope that your kids wishes are met and that they don't have to see their dad. They obviously don't wish to and that should be accepted..

I am feeling a bit more in control today. Thank goodness. But, do we ever learn out limits. No, that's something I certainly don't think is going to sink in with me. Don't know about you lot.

Anyway, hope you are all having a wonderful evening. And Barbara, hope you are having a wonderful time.

I shall sit by the window, there is a lovely breese, and shall have a glass of ice cold vimto, diet of course.

Oh Applerose my ex filed for residency too. What a lot of hassle and upset it caused us. it dragged on with different judges and case workers etc so you don't get to trust them and some of them seemed to be looking for trouble..... in the end they stayed with me.

El scorchio today and sat in the sun sewing up trousers hems and read a bit more of my book. It will take ages Toni as I only manage a few pages at a time.

Sorry you've been in pain Karen. Now you've got lots of forms to fill in and its difficult when you feel so unwell. I've still got my tax credits form to do. I started it yesterday (in the garden) but a neighbour put on some very loud music and I couldn't concentrate after that.

I'm feeling very thirsty so need a drink so will join Karen to sit in the breeze,
