Barbara, I wonder how things went there. I hope that she is comfortable and doing all her exercises she is told to do. I am looking forward to having her back.

Sorry to read you have been so unwell RosieGlow and hope you are now on the mend. Boyfriend's Dad went private for his THR and was telling us about the lovely food he had-venison sausages was one meal. He is being very naughty though as already driving after 2 weeks!

Hopefully Barbara is on the mend and will be out of pain on one side at least. I miss her too Toni and look forward to her return.

Hi Applerose I did buy some lovely things in the sale and have ordered some more today because my daughter looked so fab in the trousers.

Toni.what a good idea for Barbara, a nice curry. Lets be honest we all know what the hospital food is like. I know down here it is horrible. And glad to hear she has some lovely nurses. Hope Barbara has a good night.

Karen, I know what you mean about hitting the wrong buttons. So annoying, isn't it?

I sat last night with the fan blowing straight at me and I was still too hot. Spent the day with Dad and my sisters. Went in to town for a wander round the shops. Dad tends to just blurt out what he's thinking now. A rather large lady went past in an electric wheelchair and he said very loudly, 'That's a big one.' He probably meant the chair but it didn't sound good. Then he looked round and said aloud, 'The girls round here are all wearing the sort of dresses they should be wearing in Spain. You don't wear that sort of thing in this country.' Then as we past a beggar sitting on the pavement asking for money, Dad looked him straight in the face and said, 'You've probably got a bigger house than I've got.' We were all glad to get him back home.

Some (((hugs))) for anyone who needs them and some cool air for during the night.

Had a lovely afternoon watching my GD dancing in a show. Then had tea with my dil's family. Sat in the garden for a while when I got home as the temperature was just right.

I had to laugh at your Dad's comments Applerose I do know how you feel though, OH Dad brought up in the 1950's they are a bit blunt with how they talk about people. I do remember him remarking on how fat Dawn French was when she was filming at their house. I just hoped she didn't hear him!

Absolutely sweating here with this laptop on my legs.

1 Son is on a trip to Bournemouth beach. We were allowed to give a tenner for fish and chips but I'm convinced my Son won't find the £10 note and will miss out. We did show him where we put the money and I told his escort where it was but she might not see his staff. It usually gets missed! :roll:

Really really hot and sticky here. I cant deal with it, sorry, I should be loving it I know, but it is just far to hot and humid.

Elizabeth, did you're boy enjoy his trip. And I know what you mean about getting sweaty. It is horrible isn't it.

Well, Tony had an appointment with dr. this morning, and she is changing his diabetic tablets, she wants is sugars a lot lower than they are.

Wonder how Barbara is getting on. I'm sure she is doing well. Sending my love and some big hugs.

Mig, glad you have it a bit cooler today, send some cool air down here would you please. And hope you are happy with your hair. It's lovely when you have it cut at that bushy stage. Makes you feel so much better I think.

Karen, yes it is very difficult dealing with this heat. I used to love it but not so much now. I keep hiding in whichever room is coolest, even at work. Hope the new tablets help with Tony's diabetes.
