    Afternoon all
    Still waiting for the nurse to remove these staples....I was up at 7 in case she came early...and made OH clean the kitchen and bathroom in case she goes in both.... :oops: you know what men are like...they clean but not like us... :lol:
    Christine good on you for getting the food cooked at least you will have some meals ready....
    mi brain gone again..I read that Coco had been in....hope things get easier for you very soon
    Rose I have not done to bad for sleep just the odd bad night and last night was one....
    Rosieglow still in hospital...Im not sure what is wrong but I do wish her well
    Catie it is very muggy here...we had storms earlier...but no cooler
    Toni ..have you any more pics...or have you made up your mind on the property
    Hope Karen is ok...she will be busy with girls being off school
    And I know Elizabeth is with no respite for her son
    Joan will be in this afternoon then we can all sit and have a chat...now would that be nice face to face... :D

    Evening all

    Barbara, how are you feeling today. Hope your hip is starting to behave for you.

    We've had Tonies parents down here for a day or so. And as usual lovely to have them.

    Did anyone manage any sleep last night. Boy did we have thunder storms. But still really sticky and hot. I think I managed 1 hour last night. So have been feeling very fragile today.

    I haven't read back yet, so sorry I haven't done that yet. I did notice Coco was in yesterday, hope things are improving for you Coco. We do miss you around you know.

    I think I shall sit by the window and have a vimto, ice cold.

    Maria I use a little not book....but my brain cant cop at the min but I do always read back...
    Karen bet Tonies parents felt the heat its been a bit cooler on the East coast...I think..
    I have had my staples out..half 5 she came and was I glad to see her...but know shower till Thursday..have to keep a dressing on because of the tiny puncture wounds of the staples...they didnt hurt one bit ..unlike stitches...so D Day Thursday
    Cold Vimto coming up... and its still very humid here

    Toni, I'll have 2 girl cousins and 1 of their sons here. Another cousin and her husband is staying in a hotel and a boy cousin is best man. Not sure where he is staying. He said he'll sort it out on the day so he'll probably end up on the floor at my brother's. :lol: 2 aunties are staying with dad. A few other cousins live locally.

    Rose, I hope the hot chocolate warmed you up. :lol: I don't have much energy in the heat either. Really struggling at work.

    Barbara, although I've got food cooked, there was no room in the freezer and hardly any in the fridge. Haven't felt like eating today so only had a chicken breast. I think whatever I don't eat tomorrow, I'll have to throw out. :(

    Maria, I'm the same. I comment on what I can but I'm sure I miss people out. I think we all think about everyone though. Maybe we can buy notebooks in bulk for us all. :lol:

    i too cant remember all of what i have read on here so think i will have to buy a little note book to jot things down in too as i feel like im being rude by not mentioning everything important,

    my daughter passed her driving test today :D im so proud of her,

    a cold drink sounds good to me so shall have a look and see what there is, im sorry i dont like vimto.

    Well done cocos daughter.
    We had a most horrendous hail storm early evening yesterday and still it didn't cool down.
    Hope you're doing ok Barbara.
    Off to get blood pressure check this morning .
    Don't know what's for tea today don't want to think about food this weather.

    Christine its such a shame you will lose the food....have you decided if you are getting a new fridge freezer....I dread these electrical things going...its washers with us...cant seem to keep one longer than a couple of years
    Coco you are not being rude...we read back than forget everything....I am getting all confused now there are more posting....CONGRATULATIONS to your daughter...
    Mig I am terrified of thunder we have had a few small ones...but nothing bit at the min....
    I got a few hour sleep last night but my back does not like being lied on....what I would give to sleep on my side...suppose I will appreciate it more when I do.tomorrow.... I can have a shower tomorrow.... :D thank god we have one that not over the bath..... :D

    Barbara, you will feel so much better when you can shower and also sleep on your back. This weather can't have helped you either.

    Christine, it looks as if Saturday is going to be hot for our weddings. I was so hoping it would cool down a bit.

    I'm another one who needs a notebook as my memory is like a sieve. Hope everyone is ok and sorry if I've missed anyone :)

    I hope you are all well and congratulations to Coco's daughter on passing her driving test :) Best done young I think. My eldest and step daughter also passed their's this year Coco and my poor car :(

    I think that Maria must have meant you Barbara with the little book because you mentioned it and DD doesn't come in here. I can't sleep on my back and thinking of you having to actually hurts mine!!! :oops:

    Glad to hear the staples are oot and didnae hurt either :) Have you had your shower yet?

    mig our storms did nothing to reduce the temp either :roll: I hope your BP is ok and yes tea what to do for tea ::) Who cares, but still we have to concoct something!!

    Catie no apology ever need for me. Just glad you are ok and great the wedding days will be lovely on Saturday too :)

    Gosh Christine you have a fair few staying and close by, but won't it be lovely ??? I hope you cope ok at work today....

    I think it is the same for all of us. Just cant remember what we have just read. A agree, we need to buy some notebooks for all of us. Then a reminder that we should write in them. :?

    Coco, send my congratulations to you're daughter, really good going.

    Barbara, only tomorrow and you will be showering. I know you cant wait. But you are doing so very well. A lot quicker in recovery.

    Yep busy with 1 boy who's not happy at all. Everything is aggravating him and It is very hard work. We are having to keep him in the kitchen, at least it is a large room and coolish but he flips if anyone goes in to cook or wash up.
    Anyway have a brother visiting today so that will be nice. We'll hide in the front room out of Sons way. Its nice isn't it Karen to have a change of company and I know your girls love to see their Grandparents.

    Hope you have a lovely time at the wedding Catie. Hope no storms are forecast. We only had a few incy wincy flashes of lightening and a couple of loud rumbles- I was expecting big storms like in 1976 (I can remember that far back) and it was as hot as ever afterwards.

    Yep a boy Toni! I changed my mind :wink::wink: a bit later after writing girl but its only a 50/50 chance anyway!

    Congratulations to your Daughter Coco!!

    Elizabeth I can only imagine how hard it is to keep your son occupied in this weather..does he not like paddling pools....we have a little boy well not so little a few house down with Autism and the only way they can entertain him is in a pool with the hose on a sprinklers going all over him.... :D
    Karen glad you had your in laws over..were are they off to now...and will you be going to visit them I know you love it there

    Toni I have more vimto if needed...the back sleeping is awful..you should see me trying to sit up in bed never mind getting out....but got to do has Im am told... :roll:

    Hope you blood pressure was ok Mig. I'm not thinking about food much at the moment. It ends up with me eating things like crisps because I can't be bothered to cook.

    Barbara, I got an under counter freezer about a third of the size of the chest freezer I had. With the big one, I always had lots to choose from. With this one, it'll be the bare minimum and I won't be able to buy the special offers any more. But it's silly really having a huge freezer for 1 person. Bet you spend a couple of hours in the shower tomorrow. :lol:

    Catie, I was worried we'd be in the middle of the thunder storms on Saturday but I too hope it's not too hot.

    Toni, work wasn't too bad today. There was no-one there so I opened the patio doors wide to let the tiny bit of breeze there was blow through. yes it should be a good weekend. Lots of people to see and catch up properly with.

    Karen, maybe we need notebooks to write in the reminders that we need to write in our other notebooks. :lol:

    Elizabeth, it really does sound like hard work. Is the warm weather making things worse for your son? Hope you enjoyed your brother's visit.

    The people next door went on holiday on Monday and left their dog in the shed/kennel. Not sure which it is as they have a very high fence all the way round. Someone has come round each evening for a short while and presumably fed him. He normally only gets water when they turn on the outside tap so I don't know if he is getting water. I phoned the RSPCA and reported it. They said they are so busy they can only attend emergencies and if someone is tending the dog once every 24 hours, they won't be able to do anything. It's heartbreaking knowing he is locked up in this weather and may not be getting any water. The poor thing barks, cries and howls every now and again.

    kettle is on, it finally rained here last night but its not cleared the air at all, still muggy and horrid,

    i dont have many plans today apart from playing taxi, might pick up a nice cake to have later, will leave some in here for you all,

    exhausted today like a lot of us, had less sleep than usual, need to try and tidy up a bit also,

    Had a lovely visit from my brother and his girlfriend. He came to buy a part for his new car so just before he left around dusk we were looking out of the window admiring the car and a bloke walked by, peeped through the car window and tried the handle. I thought I was seeing things So we went outside and watched him walk up the long road trying other car doors!

    Hope all is going well for you Barbara. My Son is occupied but just freaks out at certain noises. If a car goes by playing music he goes berserk so that is why I try to keep him in the kitchen (on his laptop and with headphones) but he has amazing hearing. We dare not open the kitchen windows or door either so it is baking hot.I do have to lock him in to prevent sudden outbursts directed at the neighbours for playing music.He was actually really lovely when my Brother arrived and did ask him some questions about mobile phones and even answered a few. My Brother was over the moon.

    sorry mustn't keep on about my family.....just nice to have somewhere to offload at times!

    Morning Coco and Applerose. It is a little cooler today and clouded over and I did sleep well but woke up in pain. I'm waiting for my humira to be reactivated as funding stopped and each day the R.A. gets worse. I'll to ring and ask what is happening.

    Well I'm going to try and walk down the stairs and have something to eat.

    Christine that is awful that the rspca wont come out...I have heard this before...what on earth are they thinking...that poor dog...you have gone to the trouble of ringing them..I am disgusted with them
    Coco more taxiing....maybe soon your daughter will be able to run you around or would that be in your car....
    Right I am off to get some walking done ...I am sooo frustrated that I cant do any jobs...its driving me mad and hubby...bless he is doing his best...but you know men

Think ill go for the Cheesey bean Potatoes today, How are you all it seems such a long time since I droped in for a chat, turn the fan up a bit please, Any trips being organised seems to me like a day at blackpool could go down well if someone books a charrabang we could stop and have fish and chips in the caf before we hit the beech. o go on sort it out just us lot though no partners, Tell you what ill bring a bottle of Brandy and loads of Jam Butties.

    Elizabeth, I'm so glad you enjoyed your brother's visit, but what a rogue that guy was :o. Please don't apologise for talking about your son. If it helps to talk, then there are plenty of listening ears here :). I'm sure we would all pop round to offer our help if we were nearer - must be so hard for you. I've worked with youngsters in the past who have autism and so understand about their sensitivity to noise and also to smell etc. One mum I met said that her little girl was always upset about going to different places because then her clothes 'smelt' differently. Something I'm sure none of us would ever notice, but to this little girl it was overwhelming and she would then want to remove her clothes. So very difficult for her and her mum/family too. Thank you for your best wishes for the wedding :)

    Coco, nice to see you in the cafe and thanks for the cake. I know that this hot weather has meant that many have lost their apetite - unfortunately not me though. Shame because I could do with losing a few pounds :)

    Christine.....thunderstorms....heck, I hadn't thought of that. Anyway, hope your brother enjoys his special day, and everyone else too :)

    Coco, would the cake you are referring to be you're Birthday cake. I'll def have some please. You sound like me, don't really celebrate b/days any more. Just get on with the day as usual.

    Elizabeth, as has already been said, you talk about you're family as much as you like. I do all the time. So, why shouldn't you. Glad you had such a lovely time with you're bro.

    Christine, I really wish I could have an appetite like you. And I agree with you, Colin has come up with a really good idea. Shall I bring along the jam butties. I have never been to Blackpool before.

    Val is off to Skeggy on Weds and Barbara and I were considering sneaking along....Blackpool is a great Idea I agree with you too Karen. Count me in.

    Colin will the Brandy be Martel?? I can bring some brie butties along if it helps - even wraps??

    Coco both of mine are on my insurance (it only went up for the first luckily two for the price of one ::) ). I had to increase my excess hugely and a few other bits to make it manageable. Having said that I still don't really trust them :oops:
