    Afternoon all

Hope you are all ok at the mo. Barbara, glad you got out and determined that you were going to sit down.

Well Yesterday I went to the doctors. Didn't see my usual one. But the dr I did see was nice enough. She told me all she could offer was different meds. She made me do some movements with my arms and head. It was the arm ones which killed me. Left me in even more pain. But I did as she said and downed good old diazepam. And I started back on the Nortryptoline. I shall make sure next time I see my usual doctor.

She did mention about the Arthur damaging the nerves. Then why are they not doing more.?? Sorry, winge over.

Elizabeth, your boy sounds like my youngest before on her meds. She would get in the washing machine, get in the rabbit hutch. Bark at people, well I could go on. Thank goodness those days are now a lot fewer. My heart goes out to you.

Hi everyone. My internet is sooooo slooooow at the moment. It's taking ages to load pages and even typing is very slow so I won't stay long.
Hope nobody is too bad. Karen and Elizabeth, hope the pain is subsiding. Barbara, glad to see you are getting out and about.
Well I had a fantastic weekend. My cousins and aunts came on Friday afternoon and we had such a laugh in my garden that night. With a few bottles of wine and munchies of course. My brother's wedding was on the Saturday afternoon. It was a lovely service and there were a lot of people at the reception. It carried on till nearly midnight with a band in the evening. The bride wore a beautiful purple floaty dress. My sisters didn't go but I think they were the ones who missed out. We all had a great time.

Better go or I'll be here all night. Sleep well everyone.

Blimey Barbara it seems 5 mins ago that baby was born!!! and now she can almost walk eh? I bet that was better than going out anyway seeing them :)

Karen the diazepam really ought to help and I am so glad you saw someone. I do agree though best if poss to see your usual doc next time.

Mig I love those enormous mushies with some mozzarella cheese and pesto...sigh

Catie (I just called you by my sister's name!!) I equate London with black cabs and red buses too. Italian groom eh? Go the bride I say - if she loves him why not get there early ;)

Hope the tuning wasn't tooooo expensive :?

applerose I'm so pleased you had a lovely time. So the Sisters didn't go in the end. did your Dad make it (I haven't read your other thread yet as wanted to pop into the cafe first)?

Was worried about you Karen. Hope Diazepam helps but they do make you float. Still if it helps with the pain that is the main thing.

where are you off to now Toni?

Catie I think the London bus was a great idea. They should have got you playing on the Joanna too for a knees up. Actually I love the piano and would dearly love one at home but think it might upset my boy. We had one when I was groing up and I loved it.

Hi coco. Nice to see you.

How are you Barbara. Recovering well I hope.

    enjoy your meal Mig,

Well have a child coming to play today and OH says he will take our Son for a walk by the canal but doesn't like the rain and doesn't like it too hot! I told him rain won't hurt him,

Toni, perhaps we should ask Barbara to bring out the bus and then we could all join you for a wonderful holiday :)

Applerose, so pleased you had a wonderful time :). Our internet speed is really slow as well. Hubby blames it all on the children on their hols :D

Barbara, what a lovely d-i-l you have. Your little grand-daughter sounds lovely :).

Elizabeth, I hope your son enjoys his walk. I believe you can buy silent pianos - obviously headphones required :). My daughter is the pianist really and although I do play - not as well as she does.

Karen, hope you are feeling a little better today and anyone else who's poorly too.

Hi, to everyone I haven't mentioned. I wonder if Rosie has left hospital yet - do hope so.

Hope you are all able to get some needed sleep. Last couple of nights since starting to take Nortryptaline again I have slept well. Elizabeth the diazepam is working but walking around half asleep. I don't like it.

Have a good day everyone, the weather is back on. Take care, I have put the kettle on and the grill. A lovely sausage sarnie I think.

    Another scorcher!

Karen, my Mum was on Diazapam (sp) and I didn't like what it did to her but as your neck and shoulder is so bad it might help for a short time.

I will look into the silent piano. that would be wonderful! Thank you for telling me Catie.

I have got an appointment for Monday with the rheummy Nurse as I'm in a lot of pain. they stopped my humira and I'm still waiting for it to be reinstated but everything seemed to come to a standstill until I finally got through to omeone in the rheumatology dept.

You can send baby pic to my messages Barbara if you are able. I'm glad you were able to get your hair done and are starting to get back to normal now.

I am sure Rosie came out of hospital. Hope you are okay Rosie?

Right time to do some House work,

Toni, hope you have a fantastic holiday. Are you going to France again?

Hi Coco. Hope you are ok.

Catie, the Italian men are quite yummy, aren't they? Gino De Campo for instance. My boss's sister is married to an Italian chef. Must admit, I go a little weak at the knees when he asks me how I am. Hadn't thought the internet could be slow because of too many people being on at once.

Barbara, we've had some rain here over the last few days but it was red hot again today. Happy birthday to little Niamh just in case I don't get on before. Sounds as if she'll be off walking any minute. How nice of your hairdresser to do that for you. I always feel better after getting my hair done.

Karen, hope the Diazepam are helping with the pain but it is awful not feeling quite with it.

Elizabeth, hope your son enjoys having his friend round and your son enjoyed his walk and the weather was ok for him. Thanks, yes things went very well. Hope your appointment goes well on Monday.

Hope things are ok with you Rosie.

Was out for an hour this evening collecting signatures for a petition. There are several groups in our area who have joined forces to ask David Cameron to investigate out local council. They are passing housing applications like there is no tomorrow despite the fact that, due to our location, we cannot take any more houses. The Highways Agency have told them our roads can't handle the extra traffic, the groups who look after the countryside have said it is wrong to destroy the fields and wildlife havens, and other groups have said it's a big mistake but the council don't listen.

My daughter has told me they are going to Spain for a couple of weeks and has asked me to go too. They've booked their flights but the apartment they thought they'd booked isn't available so they don't have anywhere to stay yet. My son-in-law's dad said there's a flat for me he can get a discount on but I don't want to book that and flights to find my daughter can't go.

Hope you are all coping with the heat and not melting like I am.

Toni you have a lovely holiday....not sure where you are going ...hope the weather is good and you can relax and enjoy..x
Christine..thanks for the birthday wishes for Niamh,,,still have to think about the spelling.. :?
What a good idea the petition is..me and hubby were saying that our council would sell there soul...we had fields all around our town but they are all nearly gone now...even little gaps between houses have been sold off..the road we live on used to be a country lane...now we can wait ages to get off our drive.. oops went off on one there...but I am glad you brought this up... :x
I hope you can get to Spain...we were the same when going with my son and dil...we had to try and synchronize our flights and accommodation..hopefully it will all come together for you...fingers crossed..
Mig...hope you get the painting done...I would love to go away and someone come in and do an house makeover...or a garden one... :) would that be lovely
Today it is cloudy and humid.....I just cant sleep with this back...my new hip is really good such a shame...but only got 3 weeks to go then he might let me sleep on my side.. :)
I will see you all later ..hope everyone that is missing are getting there..xxxxxx

    Morning all

Just got back from the hospital for Tonies scan on his heart. Now we go back again this afternoon for the results. Keep your fingers crossed everyone please.

We just got back and had a lovely thunder storm.

Tonie, have a lovely holiday wherever you are going. I have probably missed the post for that.

Christine, I really do hope you and your family manage to get all arranged. How lovely for you if you can.

Barbara, it's the first 6 weeks are the hardest and you have done so well. I am so proud of you. You have recovered so much better than me.

Right I am off, right arm doesn't want me on the lappy, kicking up a fuss, so shall see you all later. Have a good one is whatever you are up to.

sorry to read your arm is playing up Karen as you have to keep on going don't you? I really hope your Tony's results are fine.

I thought you'd already gone Toni? Is this another trip to France? How lovely that you get to do such lovely, restful things. We could have gone to Malta with the OH family but I have such bad memories of previous hols with them that I said no.

Sorry it was my daughter who had the friend round. It was the aggressive boy but he was well behaved here. I kept a close eye. He does seem to adore her but will have to learn to control his anger and jealousy! OH took my son out as he needs the exercise and gets upset with strangers in the house.

Has your DIL heared anymore Applerose?

Another hot, muggy day. At least I'm not eating very much in this heat. Any one lost their appetite?

Speak soon and keep in touch about Tony's results Karen

Karen I hope it was good news for Tony ....it must be so worrying ...and you rest that arm ...it sounds like it is coming from your neck
Elizabeth....I'm with you now....good that your son got his exercise...many years ago a little boy at the school I worked at had autism...he had boundless energy.. :o I was the only one that he would play ball with...hee them were the days..they knocked the school down and it was such a lovely special school..

I hope that everyone's doing okish...we are having a curry tonight..and I might just get a wine and lemonade down.. just a little one...

Mig hope you got the shopping done without being rained on and hope the painting goes well.

Barbara I know that there are a lot of houses being built all over the country. It's such a shame that people who have lived near countryside for many years, now have housing estates. It would be lovely to have people come in and decorate the house but they'd better not touch my garden. Hopefully the next 3 weeks will pass quickly for you. Hope you enjoyed your curry and wine.

Karen, hope Tony's results were good and hope your arm is behaving itself now.

Elizabeth, glad your daughter's friend behaved himself. Hopefully he will soon learn life is better when you control yourself. My DIL went for her biopsy this morning. It'll be a few days before she gets the results. Thanks for asking. I'm finding I'm not pigging out in the evenings at the moment which is a good thing as I was putting on more and more weight.

Been out to get more signatures this evening. There were some houses that were very well looked after and the odd ones which were filthy, there were people who practically grabbed the petition off me they were so eager to sign it, there were people who just signed and said goodbye and others who wanted to tell me their life stories. Very interesting it was. Looking forward now to doing more.

Roses, thank you, I'd love a cuppa. No, I'm not coping very well in the heat. Keep coming to a full stop. And I still drink hot tea.
