Afternoon all

Hope you are all having a good one. And has anyone heard anything about Catie. Was just wandering how she was. Hope improving all the time.

Barbara, wont be long before you will be on your side again. It does seem endless doesn't it. But you will be there soon enough.

Still have not been up about the car. Tony still really unwell. We have the mobility scheme. Where we get a new car every 3 years, and have the money for it deducted from Tonies DLA. We hopefully will be up there next week some time.


Mig, good to see you. And can I come over for Tea, steak ummm lovely. And your poor hands, hope they are feeling a lot better now.

And then I thought if I could crash in on Barbara for some apple crumble. If that's ok with you Barbara,

We had rain all day yesterday and today it is cloudy with sunshine popping through every so often.

Toni, thanks for cleaning the café, you do such a good job.

Barbara, leaks in your roof? :shock: Hope you can get them repaired before there's any more damage. Good to hear Val is improving. Yes, I think we should have a party when she comes back.

Toni, yes next step is grandchildren. You get all the fun and no bad bits. Yes, my boss is nuts. They spend all that money to get a room painted but will go to an airport quite a way off because the flights are a little bit cheaper and when giving me my wages, will fuss if they haven't got the exact money and have once asked me if I have the 10p so they can give me all notes. Thank you for cleaning the cafe. All spick and span again.

Mig, sounds like a nasty reaction. Glad it's clearing up now. Mmmmm, sirloin steak sounds delicious followed by some of Barbara's apple crumble.

Karen, poor Tony, still unwell. Fingers crossed it doesn't last long.

Still overcast here and temperature has dropped a little. Still don't need a cardi on though.

Karen poor Tony ...if only I had a magic wand..he deserve a break from all he has and is going through..hope you get that car soon ...I love the smell of new cars..my sons not ours...
Christine ...yes leaks on our flat roof...we had a roofer re do it all but you know water ...anyhow he is coming back to have a look...
Sorry to say we have had another lovely warm and sunny day...cant believe it for the north west...went to my garden center....and guess what I got down with the help of hubby and no cushion... on the seats I mean...
The baby has just gone home....her eyes light up when she sees grandad because he gave her chocolate buttons...
And we have the middle GC here ..
There is plenty of apple crumble left xxxx

Karen Poor poor Tony I do hope he picks up soon. Shame you can't get the car sorted too. Not heard about catie lately, but I am sure if MrO hears anything and has time he will update us. Fingers crossed she is going the right way.

Barbara and Christine I think being a Grandparent must be amazing Just think those babies are linked to YOU Incredible and you have time and energy for them which you can't have when you are a full-time Mum despite your best efforts.

Some apple crumble please for us here we love it - I can manage a tin of custard to go with it

A party for Val yes!! I think she deserves it after all she has been through

Christine it's been 23 degrees here so warm....maybe even a bit muggy ::)

We have one GD in bed...poor things have not had an holiday so are bored out there brains....these holiday seem to have gone so fast ..one more week
today we are tidying the garden... :roll: well at least I can watch poor hubby..

It's very quiet in here today. I hope you are all just enjoying the lovely weather.

Barbara, you are right, it has gone so quick this year. And we haven't been away. The girls seem happy enough though.

I have started getting school clothes ready now. Just ordered a jumper for the youngest. It seems strange that I don't have to worry about H though.

I completely forgot it was a Bank holiday today. It's the girls not being at school, it does throw me.

The sun is shinning again...just had my hand appointment cancelled...I was hoping to get these hand injections and was going to ask for one in my shoulder because of these crutches...
Oh well will have to wait for another one
OH is working today so I will be getting some jobs done..but will have a cuppa first....

We have the sun down here again. So all washing out on the line.

Later I am going with the girls around town. Take them for a drink and cake. I might have one myself. Then getting school stuff and college stuff. H enrols on Thursday so she is getting very nervous.

Well I got up and had a shower and got the kids up ready for my hospital appointment then realised I had the wrong day. It is tomorrow morning.

anyway OH has taken our buy for a walk in the quiet woods. It has been a nightmare here. I'm seriously considering a move to somewhere very quiet! That or soundproofing the whole house.

Hi coco. sorry you have been unwell. Kids back soon...phew!

Room is finished and I'm very pleased and Son has slept there 2 nights. But I still have my youngest boy and his room needs a lick of paint, then we are putting up my old double bed(needs a new mattress) and some new furniture is required to house all the bits and bobs he collects.

OH still n the sofa but not long now.

Karen good luck with the car. Have a good look online. I can recommend the skoda if you have a garage nearby (we have a Vauxhall though but thats another story).

Karen I hope you had a good day out with the girls...simple pleasure...I used to love going to the shops with my GDs and pop in a cafe...but they are not has interested now they have there friends....good luck to H for Thursday...bless..I hope it all goes smoothly ..it a big move for her...
Elizabeth...Im glad you have your sons bedroom finished...thats the trouble really you do one room and the others look tired...
We dont have any GC here at the min unless the baby comes with mum and dad...it is still sunny here..just the weather for being at the seaside...I wish

Barbara, I shall join you for a ponder. It is lovely going out with my girls but they are at that age where they argue with each other. I drives me mad. Managed to get all the pens and pencils etc, which they need for both school and college. It was a bit of an expensive afternoon out really.

Elizabeth, lovely to see you. Glad you got your sons room finished. Isn't it always the way once one is done you see another one to be done.

Hope everyone has had a good day. The weather is lovely again. And yes, Barbara it would be lovely beach weather.

Karen sorry I missed you last night...my two GDs are the same...they fall out over everything..and if one of them gets a certain bag or shoes the other wont have the same ..even if they like them... glad you had a good day ...I really miss that..hope it all goes smoothly for H tomorrow
Today OH is off work so we can go out...I never used to rely on him but we are so far away from the shops here and there is no bus stop nearby.. :roll: cant wait till im walking properly again....

Hope you have all had a lovely day. We had a lovely surprise this morning. My brother in law rang to come round. We haven't seen him in a couple of years. He's in the army and was posted to Brunei with his wife. It was so lovely to see him. Then of course it was shop day. So, for us it has been a busy day. And me knee has decided it wants to hurt me. You just cant win can you.

Toni, I hope your daughter enjoys the disco. But what will you be up to while she's there.

Barbara, I'm glad you managed to get out today. It is hard when shops etc are not near to where you live. Are you still on two crutches or have you come down to one.

Has anyone heard from Catie, just wandering how things are with her.

Shall sit down and have a lovely cold drink and have a really long and hard ponder....

Just a quick update on Catie . Unfortunately she is still in hospital, having undergone further surgery . However, Andrew spoke with her surgeon this afternoon and he seems quite positive about the future. Many thanks for keeping her in your thoughts - I'm a great believer in 'positive thinking'.

Hope all is well with each one of you, and in particular, that Barbara is making a good recovery .

Elizabeth, I keep a diary open on the table next to me and check it every morning or I'd be missing appointments or turning up on the wrong day all the time. Hope it went well for you today.

Barbara, did you enjoy your trip out today? Did you go anywhere nice?

Toni, hope your youngest enjoyed the disco and didn't have any problems. Did you have a dance too?

Karen, that was a lovely surprise. Has he had to go back now? Hope your knee didn't hurt for too long. It soon mounts up, doesn't it, even buying pens and paper etc. I remember my first few years at school, they supplied everything.

Thanks Mr O. Poor Catie. More surgery. Hopefully, she's now going to be on the road to recovery. Hope you are well too Mr O.

Not sleeping too well again, getting only a few hours sleep each night so feeling very tired and not getting much done. Still too hot at night but the days are more manageable. I've checked in for my holiday in Spain, both the journey there and back again. Can't understand how that works. I don't go for nearly a fortnight but have already told them I'm ready to go and that I packed my own bag and am not carrying anything for someone else. Haven't even started to pack yet.

Mr.O, I was sorry to hear from you that Catie has been through a further op. Lets hope this is the last and she can start thinking about going home. Send her our love wont you. And of course a big thanks to you.

Barbara, they are mucking you about regarding these hand injections aren't they. Have you been able to sleep on your side yet??.

Christine, not enough sleep is horrible. Can you not get something from your gp. to help you. Was really pleased though to hear that you have your holiday booked. I bet you are really looking forward to it.

Regarding my brother in law, he is now back in this country for 3 years, but still a far way away. And my knee is still really painful and as I walked down stairs I felt crunching there. And of course this afternoon is H's enrolment. So maybe I shall use a stick as there will be a lot of walking and stairs I am not looking forward to it. But must do it.

Oh it is good to hear Catie will do well long-term, MrO I too believe in the power of positive thinking. We ARE all thinking of her she is such a nice person.

Thanks everyone for asking after Lucy - she loves the discos, but I don't!! I lurk over the road....(adults aren't allowed in!) in tescos of all places. No ill effects, in fact it was a useful late night as she has a calazion(sp) under her eye and we were at the hospital this morning for 9.20

I hope you are all doing ok? Barbara you need mig to cook you some tea

Karen I hope H's enrolment went ok and that your knee held up for you too.

Christine like you I would forget half of my appts - why do the always seem to clash?? Like the number 11 bus......

Barbara, I think we miss each other because I don't usually get on here till just before bedtime. Sometimes I am too tired so I don't post. Hopefully, it won't be much longer before you get your hand injections. You've waited too long already. And you are still sleeping on your back. Not for much longer I hope. Are you managing to sleep?

Karen, I did get something a while back for a couple of months to help me sleep. I really don't like taking meds so will wait a little longer before I go back. Hope you manage to get to see your brother-in-law a few more times before he goes back. Oh your poor knee. Mine crunches now and again when I walk upstairs and that is quite painful so I do feel for you with yours being painful all the time. How did H's enrolment go? Bet she is getting excited now.
Toni, hope Lucy's appointment went well. Are they going to remove it?
