    Evening all

Barbara, do I have you wondering. It was a good holiday, I was only in my twenties. They really looked after me. Didn't like for me to be on my own.

Mig, when are you off. If I had a brain at the mo I would be dangerous.

Well, me and the girls had our hair cut this evening. We have found such a lovely chap and I intend to keep him. If I went to a normal hairdressers, I couldn't have my head back when they wash it. I would never get my head back up again.

We finally got out new car ordered, same make as before, Ford focus, but this time it will be an automatic. And a lovely silver colour.

Hope you've all had a good day today.

We are off first thing Thursday morning, just got to pack case everything is in piles ready to pack.I shall be taking my iPad with me so I will be able to log in .
When I cook stuff I always make two ,one to eat one to freeze ,sometimes you can get a better deal if you buy bigger packs but that depends on the finances at the time, hubby does most of peeling and chopping ,he has a nicer dicer that he likes to play with.Take care all Mig

    Morning all

Hope you are all as well as possible.

Barbara, I was their mascot for the week. And had such a good time being looked after. They were such gentlemen. They wanted to take me golfing with them as well. Well, I put my foot down on that one.

Mig, I envy how organised you are. And of course, have a super holiday in the highlands. Try and post some pictures wont you.

Coco, it's lovely to see you, hope you are dealing with things okish. My youngest goes back to school tomorrow. And H starts college on Monday.

The sun is shinning so washing all ready to go on the line, still have to iron uniforms, but it's only for one, so I don't mind.

Have a good one in whatever you are up to today.

    Hi Christine

Glad I am not the only one who wanted ex on the sofa  Luckily this one can stay in the bed - much nicer!!

We have 'lost' Lucy's case 3 times! Once here when we went to our caravan (not go it now and was 3 hours away) next time when we stayed at a caravan (she was about 6 and it had her special toys in) and then finally the airline lost it!!! ALWAYS hers and she is the one who has epilepsy so I take meds with me too now

Your OH had a temper eh? Glad it wasn't his case then

No plans for me today - bro will be calling round and I have already been for a swim - not much, but need to as things are getting very sore :|

    Love

Hi Coco, I hope will see a bit more of you. We also had one charger between 2 laptops but just before the hols started I thought why go through all this hassle so we went to C*rrys and got a new one. Mind you we still had the old one to check but it seems like yours might not look like the original!!!!

I didn't know Cris had a Foster daughter!!!

There's only so long you can do the sofa thing.....I love my bed and have no TV to disturb me. I'm an awful sleeper so he won't be happy for long.

Today I finally managed to get Son's trainers. We have to collect them from a shop. Everything else is either here or waiting on delivery. Talking of which I had an order from N*xt due after 1 O/C and it arrived early (as I thought it would) she put it in a box-but whats the point of selecting a delivery time if they never use it?

Okay got to make Son his breakfast. 2 down and 1 to go. I'm worried about Lu as her stomach hasn't quite cleared up. We are collecting her at Dinnertime so she can tidy-up. she has to take that awful stuff picolax this weekend (the stuff they give pre op).

It was a long and difficult Summer hols !!!!!!so glad I didn't opt for my 2nd THR after all.

I reckon you did the right thing about your op - the holidays have been very hard for you haven't they? :(

Poor your Lu - I will be thinking of you both at the weekend :?

Just a quick update on Catie before I depart for France :).

We paid Catie a visit last Monday and were delighted to see that she's made significant progress. Catie is back on her feet and receiving quite intensive physio, so fingers crossed that she will be back home soon. Her surgeon expects her to make a complete recovery - so that really is good news :)
I wondered why some of the staff called Catie by the name of 'Aggie' :?. and so I asked one of the nurses. Apparently, a visitor asked Catie for her autograph, believing she was Agnetha from Abba . I must say she is the spitting image of her, but I doubt very much that Agnetha would be in a NHS ward, do you? :) The chap was apparently very disappointed :)

Best wishes to you all :)

That is fantastic news - thank you for the update :D

    She really is doing well!!

I hope we will hear from her ourselves sooner than expected.

Now we can actually picture catie.....like Agnetha from Abba. She was my favourite :)

Well you have a safe trip and enjoy your visit to France. I wish I was coming with you

Karen, yes I can't wait now. Packed my case tonight to make sure I can get everything in. I'll probably redo it again to make sure I haven't forgotten anything. You can bet though that I won't get it back it again. That happened once at security. I was asked to take some things out of my case and they wouldn't fit back in. Hmmm, I'd like to know more about your holiday too. Sounds interesting. And you've found a chap to do your hair and you are going to keep him.

Mig, I do that too just before I go away. Eat up leftovers and things from the freezer. You are off tomorrow. Have a lovely time. I used to make things in batches until my big freezer stopped working and I bought a smaller one. Haven't got much space now.

Hi Coco. Good to see you back. Glad you are able to get to the laptop while the kids are at college. I remember one Xmas, we had bought my son a new game station and I got a rabbit. We let the rabbit run round the room but it went straight for the game station cable and chewed through it. My son didn't get to use his new toy for a while.

Toni, hopefully your oh can stay in bed rather than the sofa. Like you say, much better. Poor Lucy. How strange it was always her case. If I go with a few people, I put a couple of things in the other cases so at least, if one case gets lost, we all still have something. Hope your swim made you feel better.

Elizabeth, my daughter and her husband share a laptop charger. 'Pass the juice,' they say when they need it. Most companies rarely seem to stick to the arranged time. It's either early or they don't turn up at all. Then there are others who can make it within the hour and even phone to say they are on their way. If one can do it, I don't see why they all can't. Hope Lu's stomach clears up soon.

Barbara, glad you managed to get out. You GD is nearly 16? They grow up way too fast, don't they? So you had a rabbit that ate chargers too? Wonder why they do that.

Mr O. Thank you. That is fantastic news. Glad Catie is back on her feet. Bet that cheered her up being asked for her autograph. Have a great time in France.

Wow Coco have a good trip. I'm out in the burbs so not too far away. Hope the days go well and you kick ****.

Hi Barbara, daughter no.3 has had a stomach prob since she was a baby. Its ongoing with regular medication but when she is better she lets the med regime slip  The knots and head lice have been conquered but there's always one thing left to sort. She is off school and so is my Son which should be his first day back (and its also his birthday) as he was sick (might be anxiety which is a worry as he loved his old Junior school). Every year I seem to have illness or problems or failed transport after the return to school.

Talking of transport my Sons mini bus turned up and it was a rusty old heap. This lot have won the contract. The old company had lovely mini buses. I'm not amused so we are thinking of taking him ourselves by car. It will cost a lot but looking to see if we qualify for a mileage allowance.

I know Cris is so caring and would look after people in need just never heard her mention a foster child before.

Toni your Daughter is only 6 months older than my Eldest Son. I didn't realise they were so close in age. My Boy has got to knuckle down this year with exams and make choices about college/6th form/apprenticeships. All he cares about is playing on his computer so I will have to encourage and help him a lot. I slacked last school year as I was quite unwell after Christmas and I really can't afford to take my eye off the ball. Toni I think hairdressing is a great choice and she can go far.

Maybe Catie could get a job as Aggies double? Glad she is on the mend.

I really hope H's college goes well Karen. Can she wear what she likes? Glad you have chosen your car. I always drive automatics as so much less to think about.

Got to go and encourage Lucy to take that picolax and have a couple of cheques to write. I'm reading Adventures of Tom Sawyer to her but she can take a turn today,

Applerose and Mig enjoy your holidays (where did you go Karen-I'm seemed to have missed that post)?

A Big 'Thank You' to everyone for your kind wishes and thoughts. The past weeks have been so difficult and your kindness really helped me to fight on. I was due to have an op on my neck later this year, but went downhill really quickly. I was told without a disc replacement I would end up incontinent and paralysed. so it was all systems go. My treatment has been first class and my surgeon was wonderful. I'm now back home, but very limited in what I can do for the next few months. Having said that, all the dizziness I suffered has gone - praise be :)

I hope everyone is as well as they can be :).

    Afternoon everyone

Where shall I start. Well, firstly, Catie, HURRAY you're finally home. I am so pleased for you. Bet you thought it would not come. What a time you have been through. So glad you are at the other end of it all now.

And of course, a big thank you to Mr. O of keeping us informed. And have a wonderful time in France with your family.

Coco, As Elizabeth said, you kick ****. And make sure you keep us informed on how it all goes wont you. Have a safe journey there and of course back.

Elizabeth, your poor daughter. I am presuming they know what it is. And that she keeps taking the meds with the knowledge she has now. And regarding keeping on top of things, Elizabeth I to find it so hard, I am the one that does everything, even bills, calls the lot and I find that things I should be keeping a check on ie. school seems to go by the way. Just far to much to remember.

I have just had a text from the youngest, apparently the school is not happy with her new trousers and if she wears them again she will have to change into something they have. What annoys me, we bought them from B.H.S. school uniforms.

Mig, have a fantastic holiday and hopefully you will get internet access and let us know.

Christine, I am the same, I pack unpack and still I will manage to leave something out. You must be getting excited now.

A big hello to Numpy, nice to see you in the café.

Right, I hope I covered everyone.

Have a good day in whatever you are all doing.

    Ah Catie :D

    WELCOME BACK

Sounds like the op was not a moment too soon. We have been kept up to date by MrO so luckily weren't in the dark and you knew we were all concerned about you too :)

    Take it steady now.

Elizabeth - Difficult with lads I think unless they are into cars/sport and you have an obvious career choice. Maybe something in IT??? Might be the best bet if he loves it anyway? Thanks Lucy was sticking my hair in rollers as soon as she could stand

Bless your Lucy - I'm sure she will take a turn to read the book.

As for the taxi - well that's not much good is it? Typical local authority giving the cheapest tender

Barbara on the subject of what to do - connexions will get in touch with you/her this year. If she has no idea, but is bright enough she could always do A levels?? They have to stay on in 'education' until they are 18 anyway don't they?

Your hair looks good - 10 years younger ;)

I hope Mig is having a lovely break She will have to eat what others cook her now....

Hi Numps hope you are well today glad to hear the good news about your puss-cat Khuno :)

Go you Coco - we are all right behind you 100% I hope it's not too hard on you the journey or the meeting/conference.

    Hi Christine

I repack too  I bet you are getting exited now :) We will miss you in here. The swim did help a bit and today I have 'walked' for 20 mins on the treadmill. If it works I expect I will know in a week or so if I keep it up ;)

    Karen

You must be FUMING about the trousers!! Whatever is wrong with them?? Like we're made of money :(

I hope it can be sorted, but I understand you won't want your daughter upset too....

    Ah well....

Rightyho I hope I didn't miss anyone, but almost forgot to say Cris sends her love to Barbara and Elizabeth and to anyone else who knows her

    Love

Toni thanks for the info ...things are quite hard here again...a very long story ..but she is between us and her daddy...so a bit confused... and thank Cris ..she really is missed but has long as she is plodding on... :D

Why on earth don't they like the trousers Karen? Skirts can be a problem but trousers! So more expense.

I have trouble buying shoes if anything because they say not trainer style and that is difficult to find other styles.

Welcome back Catie. So glad you are recovering well.

As long as she always has someone to rely on Barbara she'll be fine, its the ones who get kicked out with nobody to turn to that worry me.

It will be something IT or maths Toni although he's lovely with little children so a caring role wouldn't be a bad idea and plenty of employment.

Must pop off again. Hoping nobody pops round for his birthday as haven't the energy to entertain.
