    Evening all

Hope you've all had a goodish day.

Christine, I know I've missed you, but hope you have a wonderful time. And of course, as already said you shall be missed.

Barbara, your bathroom cabinet sounds lovely, especially with the gingham. Sorry you lost your brother so early and then his wife as well.

I am hoping that Coco will pop in and tell us how it went, but do understand that she will probably be exhausted.

Elizabeth, I do hope your day has been kinder for you.

Everything with regard to H went very well. She is exhausted, but I think thoroughly enjoyed herself. Yay.

    Have a good evening everyone.

I'm so pleased to read that H enjoyed her first day Karen. Long may it continue.

Lucy is still unwell. The school are going to give us work for her to do at home. Daniel came home without his new ear defenders so I'm afraid I was very angry on the phone and have written a letter of complaint. Its a special needs school and they cannot expect the children to be organised, they need reminders to put things away safely and take them home again. The ear defenders really helped block out the noises that were making him kick off.

Happy hols to all those going away.

Sorry was so stressed but up early and straight into housework and then monitoring my son (plus more work) and late to bed as supporting 3 children who need looking after.

Off to have my dinner now.

    Hi to Everyone :)

It's been raining cats and dogs here....a really glum day out there.

MrO sent me an email to say that after a lot of deliberation, the baby has been named :). She is called Amélie..... I absolutely love it :).

Elizabeth, I don't blame you for calling Daniel's school - I would have done the same. You would have thought that 'organisation' would be top of their agenda - but sadly it doesn't seem that way at all. I hope the ear defenders are returned quickly. Also, that Lucy feels better soon.

Karen, I'm so pleased H has settled in well. I should imagine that's a real weight lifted from your mind.

Barbara, lovely news that Niamh has found her feet :)

Mig, so pleased you had a lovely holiday...and hope Christine is enjoying her time away.

Toni, Is your daughter excited about going off to Uni or a liitle worried? I bet you will miss her.

The District Nurse popped in to see me today and 'filled me in' on what was going on at the surgery . Hardly the soul of descretion, but made me smile nevertheless :) Anyway, she took some blood and then departed.

Hope you are well on the road to recovery Rosie :)

Lucy has a cancellation for her eye op on the 19th so we will have to be in each other's pockets......

Holding your hand should distract me nicely :?

    Hello everyone,

What a lot there is going on, especially with children/grandchildren. I hope Elizabeth`s Lucy soon feels better, and that Barbara`s Niamh decides to take a few more steps. Toni, it`s a long time ago now, but I still remember when our sons went off to university. We were utterly bereft at first, but they were home regularly - to be fed properly and have their washing done - and we often visited them. Ah, happy days.

Catie I hope you are recovering well. Don`t overdo things - says the Queen of Overdoing!

Karen, it sounds like your offspring is doing well too.

I feel absolutely great, and have been doing really well. Then a few days ago, I started having some pain and numbness in my left leg, from time to time when walking. This has really upset me, as it is one of the things that the surgery was meant to correct. That said, it wasn`t something I ever had anyway. My pain was mostly in the lower back. I`m hoping it may be that I have overdone things - which I have! - since I got home, and have upset the nerves at the base of the spine. I have booked a phone consult for tomorrow with my GP, so everything crossed in the meantime.....Rosie.x.

    Hi to Everyone :)

Rosie, I hope everything settles down for you quickly. Perhaps your GP will be able to offer some good advice - let's hope so. Meanwhile, take things as easy as you can.

Toni, I felt so sad inside when my daughter went off to uni. I was so delighted for her of course, but there was so much sadness in my heart. My aunt said something which helped - she told me that because I had allowed my little bird to fly (her freedom) - she would 'be back'. Ha, she was right of course :) Anway, a (((hug)) for you. I think once your daughter has settled in ok, you will start to feel a little better.

Barbara, I'm not too bad and thanks for asking. My hubby has been wonderful and I know I'm lucky to have him. Have you thought any more about having your other hip done?

Karen, hope all is well and your daughter is still ok.

Elizabeth, hope you are ok too.

    Apologies to anyone I've missed.

Catie I am glad you are doing ok...and good for your hubby what would we do without them... I have to have Physio on my new hip before they will do the other..but it wont be long..it keeps giving way..
When my youngest son left home ..we called him binbags will travel..he was coming home most weeks...but he is settled now with his partner and baby..thank goodness

    Evening all

Hope things are going okish for you all.

We seem to have a new girl living with us and it is so lovely. H is very happy and already making new friends. It is such a relief. Lets hope it continues. She starts getting the bus on Monday.

Elizabeth, I know I am late on this, but I would have done the same as you. In fact I shall be doing tomorrow. Since going back the keep forgetting to call Kimberley for her tabs, after yesterday I was told that they would of course send someone. She cant help it, she just forgets things. To much going on in her brain. Sorry to hear that your daughter is still unwell. I do hope she feels better soon.

Catie, so pleased to see you back and posting, hope you are not overdoing things.

Mig, have a super time up in Scotland. It is going to be so lovely.

Barbara, how are you doing. When does your physio start, do you know. And how it is still having pain in the other hip. Bet you cant wait to get that one done now.

Rosie, I agree with Barbara, maybe you have overdone things and just not realised. I do hope you start feeling better soon.

Now, I have probably forgotten people and for those I have, sorry.

    Hi Everyone

Hope Elizabeth's Lucy is doing a bit better bless her and that all is well with your son too

HI Karen - FAULOUS news for you about H :) I am so glad it seems to be the very place for her:) I hope you are doing ok yourself?

Mig I hope you have a fantastic time up at the anniversary do :) Try to rest any chance you get

Aw Catie :) Thanks I agree with you - Charley was born two and a half months early and we hadn't even held her yet when her Dad said to me - "One day she will leave home :( " I remember replying with something about her only being ours until she was ready to live her own life. It hasn't half gone quick though :?

I am so glad your husband is looking after you so well and really that you have done so well. What a shock it must have been

Thanks to you too Rosieglow I am sure Charley will visit lots and lots because she kind of needs me a bit still I think. I hope it's nothing to worry about with your back, but fingers crossed for your consultation tomorrow....perhaps a rest is in order??

Barbara - BAD news!!! Lucy had her pre-op today and the actual surgery is scheduled for Wednesday so you might have to have your injections  She did fine, but it will be a LONG day.

Also took my bro to the endocrinologist about his hPERthyroid. They are trying tablets for him and if it doesn't work they will zap his thyroid and render him hypothyroid....I think if that makes sense....

So a very long day for me being ambulance-woman

    Relay for bed now

Sorry  you have to have the jabs  but I will hold your hand for you ;)

I do see a tricky business with two crutches :? Sorry you are stranded.

Poor Charley has been suffering today with one of her hemiplegic migraines - she woke with a numb tongue. If it isn't one it's another  I thought they were supposed to get easier as they got older

I hope you see the baby today :)

    Hi Barbara

Thanks I do like it nice and tidy here - you never know when Val might pop in

Remember last time? She nearly had our guts for garters!!

We DO have a dishwasher, but I don't ever use it. The girls like it, but Paul and me - we prefer to talk to each other clearing up and do a better job anyway

i'm so pleased H is settling into college well. It does make life more enjoyable all round Karen.

Toni hope the op goes well. She having a general anaesthetic isn't she? Will she be staying in overnight or will you be playing Nurse.

Rosie I hope the GP can tell you what is happening with the pain and numbness. It never nice to get old symptoms returning.Let us know how you get on.

Catie do they need to be so graphic? Sometimes we'd rather not know and are just thankful that we are better.
I hope mig and Applerose are enjoying their holiday and Coco is safely back in the swing of things.

Barbara are things easier now. Have you got rid of those stockings yet? Good luck with the injections but I suspect you'd rather not be having them.

Gosh hope I haven't forgotten anyone.

Ear defenders are back now and doing a great job and Lu is still not as well as i had hoped but can't get to see her GP until wednesday as i'm flummoxed as to why the meds aren't doing their work.
