So you're all ready for the off Toni. Have a lovely lovely time. Think we'd all better set off now on the bus. It'll take us a few days to get there. How sweet that Lucy wanted to see her boyfriend before you go.

Yes Barbara, Ryanair do get you there. I always giggle when we land and the trumpet sounds and they say 'yet another on time flight'. I'm sure they tell you it will take longer than it does so they can do that. I'm sure we can take turns driving the bus. I passed my test about 8 years ago but haven't driven since. I'm sure I can remember how to do it.

Sounds as if the wind is getting up out there. We have a yellow warning for wind tonight. Don't know if we'll get the full storm though. Keep safe everyone.

(((hugs))) for anyone who needs them this weekend.

Glad to hear you arrived safely, Toni :) Have a wonderful time :)

Hope everyone manages to keep safe. I know Catie has already lost her electricity supply and the storm has yet to gather it's momentum :? It's at times like this that I'm pleased to be retired - don't have to make that dreaded journey to work - feel for those who do.

Take care and best wishes to all :)

Glad you arrived safely Toni. Hopefully the rest of us will get there in one piece. Well done Lucy. I wouldn't know where to start with tethering.

Good to hear that things are improving Coco. Yes I remembered to change my clock this morning. Was awake most of the night so didn't really manage to take advantage. But not to worry, it was a restful day. :D

Hope your shed is ok Barbara. It's been quite windy all day so I've taken the cover off my garden swing as the wind was getting under it. Hope you've had a lovely day with your GC.

Oh Mr O, poor Catie. Hope they get her electricity on pretty smartish. I have to work two out of the next three days so I'll see what the weather is like tomorrow before I decide which ones.

Today's job was cleaning the oven. What joy. It's done now though and a clean liner put on. Also couldn't resist a quick hoover with the new vacuum even though it didn't need it.

Hope everyone is keeping safe. Fingers crossed for Catie's electricity.

    Good afternoon all

Sorry not been around, and I haven.t read back properly yet. I gather that Toni is in France, hope you have a wonderful time. And Mr. O is in the process of moving. Good luck with that.

Hope the high winds and rain haven't affected anyone to much. I found I was quite scared this time round.

My family is not having a good time at the mo, so I wont be on as much as I would like, but I just wanted to remind everyone that I am always thinking of all of you.

Sending big hugs and love to all of you and speak to you all soon. Take care of yourselves.

My Son was scared so I stayed with him. He's taken well to his new room
Hope nobody from the cafe suffered any damage.

Toni, you are most certainly in the right place. Have a good time. Wonder what's on the menu this evening :)

Fortunately we didn't suffer any storm damage. However, a massive willow tree came down in our neighbours' front garden. Boy, what a mess. Mr Chainsaw has been along and now cleared the debris away. At least everyone escaped unhurt.

Catie's electricity has been restored, but now she's lost access to the internet  Hopefully, talk talk, will allow her to do just that pretty soon

We are still busy packing and finding things which have been 'lost' for decades  I came across my old school trunk which brought back some horrid memories. Always hated packing that up at the start of each school year. Goodness knows why I kept it, but anyway, this afternoon I threw it out :)

Hope everyone is well - best wishes to all :)

Karen, hope things quickly improve for you and your family. Don't worry about coming on here if you're not able to.

Barbara, I look forward to wandering round the garden centres looking at the Xmas things. I'll do it later though. Still a bit early for me. It's a really busy time for your GD then, studying for exams

Elizabeth, that must be a nightmare having to share a computer at the moment, especially with a broken keyboard. I couldn't help giggling when the mod told us what had happened on here. Sounds as if you were lucky that you had no tree damage. Hope no-one was hurt. Hope you're son is ok now.

Toni, I'm getting changed right now ready for our evening out. Looking forward to a lovely meal with you. Bikini's packed ready for tomorrow. Hope you are having a lovely time.

Mr O, glad no-one was hurt when the tree came down. What a shame. I love willows. Thank goodness Catie has her electricity back. Isn't it amazing what you find when it comes to moving house? I'm not planning on moving. Don't think I'd be able to with all the things I have stored away. Hope you feel better for having thrown out some horrid memories.

I had 2 upsets today. The 1st one was when I went to get the bus with several bags of shopping. I got to the back of the bus just as it pulled away so I crossed over as I knew it was only going a short way up the road then turning round and coming back down the road. I wasn't actually at a bus stop but put my hand out anyway. The driver had seen me trying to run over the road and saw me putting my hand out. He started laughing and drove straight past. He obviously knew I'd have a half hour wait for the next bus. Hope my ice cream will be ok.

The 2nd one was when I got home, there was a card through the letter box saying a company had tried to deliver a parcel and I had to phone to arrange redelivery. What a lovely surprise I thought as I wasn't expecting anything. Phoned the company to find that the parcel was for someone who lives round the corner from me. How disappointing. I want a parcel now. :(:(

On the bright side, I had a leaflet the other day from V*rg*n saying that a better package than the one I've got was only 36p a month more than I am paying. I phoned them to be told there was also a £50 connection charge. I argued with them then was told that if I phoned customer relations, they might be able to offer me something. As soon as I phoned them, they immediately offered me the better package and said they would waive the connection fee as I had been with them for such a long time. So I am very pleased with that. :D

Well everyone that was a lovely meal out last night wasn't it? A fair bit of wine drunk by the café-dwellers too

I haven't eaten so much in ages!! I had pasta, Lucy had pizza and Paul had veal - they do lots of veal in France I think. The aperitif was lovely no idea what though  the house one ;)

I am trying to upload some piccies, but think the internet isn't quite up to it here :( One is of Lu chopping firewood here with Paul. She is up for almost anything :)

Barbara Those windows look lovely :) well-done middle GD and I am not against a little bribery...I hope you enjoyed the sunbathing by the pool today - I didn't get in Paul and Lu did though

MrO I think you did the right thing binning stuff which has bad memories!!! No need to remember stuff like that :? I hope your neighbour is ok after her visit from Mr Chainsaw. Please if you hear from catie will you send her all our love.

Christine I did like your bikini!! You look fabulous in it  Blimey you can swim I ha no idea :D We are having a great time here. I want to live here forever!!

Love to everyone especially those who are suffering ATM

Well done Barbara's GD for cleaning the windows. Hope all is well as you've not been in today.

Toni, I noticed Barbara hasn't been in the cafe yet today. Wonder if she's got a hangover from all that wine we drank last night. Yes, the meal was delicious. Not to worry about the pics. We might have to wait till you get home. That's if you do come home. Toni, I'm terrified of the water but can do anything virtually.

Spent a couple of hours with my GC this afternoon. The eldest 2 were busy with homework and Ruby was playing with toys, giggling and trying to bite me.

It's very quiet in here. Hope everyone is ok.

I've found part of the space bar that works so I won't mess up the ACforum again.

Applerose be careful of those notes through the door saying to phone as you missed a delivery as the phone call is a whopping premium rate. Its a scam. Hopefully yours was genuine.

    Morning Café dwellers :D

I bet catie is missing her cuppas in here if her internet is still down :( Maybe we should lend MrO the bus for his house move when it comes back from France??)

I couldn't get on yesterday as Lucy was on all day-time (we sunbathed and husband got burnt like you Barbara!!!) and then we went to Bordeaux to the fair there. It was fabulous :) Lots of people dressed up for Halloween and the lights :) Cafes open everywhere - would like to go back.

The more I stay the more I know this is where our holiday home should be. This time Christine I will come back

Barbara I bet the Gks looked great dressed up ;) Gosh yes you're right Rosie's other Grand-baby might be here :D

Elizabeth glad you have a solution to the space-bar issue now....thanks for the warning about those premium number scams. I didn't know about that one

Babies do often go through a 'biting' phase don't they??? I think my brother did for a while when he was wee. Biting is pretty scary to be on the receiving end of though. I have been bitten twice - once by an adult who has learning disabilities and once by a lad who has an autistic spectrum disorder. My fault for trying to protect his head  Silly me

I do hope all our missing friends are well (I nearly put fiends then   )
