The sun is shinning this morning..not gone to the cenotaph today while the girls are here.......we do get a good turn out in this little town....so we wont be missed..

There goes Toni. Flying round the cafe cleaning up. She keeps it all lovely and clean and tidy.

Barbara, I had arranged about a month ago to meet up with friends for brunch this morning. The place we went had the tv on so we all stopped our chattering and the whole place was silent for the two minutes. There was a service in the High Street at the cenotaph so I planted some little crosses there for my grandad, uncle and great uncle.

Thanks for putting the kettle on Rose. Think I'll have a cuppa by the fire. You're right about the shopping. After I've put it all away, I have to search the cupboards to find something to eat.

Don't know what's the matter with me at the moment. I feel quite happy but I cry at everything. Holby, Surprise Surprise, the 2 minute silence, standing at the cenotaph. I'm usually ok but have gone through a few tissues over the last few days. Don't know if I can survive Downton. :?

Got home just after lunch time, went in to the loft and brought down the Xmas decorations. Far too early to put them up but I needed to tidy up the loft. I could hardly get in there so now I can and most of the rubbish is in the bin and I have taken pictures of quite a few things to go on the Freecycle site. Stripped my bed and washed the bedding, tied down my garden swing cover for the umpteenth time and made dinner. Just one of those days when I couldn't stop.

Rose thankyou the hip isn't to bad now..just a very strange pain down my leg..the hip nurse is called ringing me this week ..so we shall see
Christine..our loft is like a tip..its goes back 38 years of hoarding...maybe we should goon cash in the attic.. you have done a good job there...

It's been quite grey here too Barbara. That's a good idea, Cash in the Attic. Maybe we could make a penny or two. Hope the leg pain eases soon.

Toni, I was ironing this morning when the Poppy Girls came on the radio singing. Off I went to get a tissue from the kitchen. After they finished singing, the radio presenter said a few words then started the 2 minute silence. I think we have such a beautiful world, although unfortunately it has quite a few natural disasters, it just seems so wrong that people need to go to war. Hope you manage to get the Christmas pud made tomorrow.

There seem to be a lot of things being hidden in the cafe at the moment - bottles of wine in the cake tin, cakes in the tea caddy, lemon drizzle cake in the fridge. I fancy a hot chocolate. Wonder where I'll find that.

Morning all...Christine you took the words out of my mouth..such a lovely planet and you get people killing each other on top of the disasters..you would think they would have learned by now ,did you get that loft sorted...cash in the attic here we come...
Toni ...our CRIS..she is so missed on this forum...I read her blog a couple of weeks ago..I kept telling her she should write the book. such a shame she hasn't made it to yours but I am sure it wont be long....did you say Christmas pudding...I always made a cake but never the pudding....and I haven't done that for a few years...
Today the sun is shinning and one GD just gone to school...and the kitten is here...trying to climb on my knee so I had better go....she is lovely when like this..then the she devil returns.. see you all later xxxxxx

Barbara, the forbidden word begins with 'k' and is the place where you do your cooking. I haven't done any more in the loft. Will do a bit at a time. One of the local charity shops said they will take the video player and tapes. They can't sell them but can recycle them.

Toni, that was a shame that Cris didn't get to visit you. I didn't get to know her but it's obvious everyone thinks a lot of her.

Finished work a little early so went in to one of the bigger towns just for a look around. Didn't mean to buy anything yet but I went in to Pr*m*rk and found some adorable pjs for my 3 baby GC. Can't wait to see them wearing them. Also found a pair of tights I've been looking for since last winter to go with a dress I bought last year so that's my Xmas Day outfit sorted.

Morning all,Toni's right it is chilly there's a good frost here and you can hear people scraping cars.Waiting for my shopping to be delivered should be here in about an hour.After two busy days out and about am staying in till Friday morning housework needs doing beds changed washing done ironing looked at and then ignored,don't know what's for tea today yet ,sandwiches and
potato and leek soup for lunch will keep it on a low simmer just help yourself. Mig

Toni same here OH has taken one GC to school..a good 40 mins drive in the traffic so we had to be up before 7.. hope Lucy has a good day out..its very frosty but they say the sun is on its way.. oh the kitten...least said but she is lovely when on my knee..
Rose I have just decided I dont like Christmas pud and mince pies...I have always enjoyed them not a clue what has changed...you make a cake and we can have a Christmas lunch in the cafe..hoe lovely would that be..

Yes, we must have a xmas party and once the word breaks perhaps other AC members will pop in for a chat .

When I was at the docs this morning, a parcel was delivered and left with a neighbour. He's just popped round with it and couldn't stop sneezing. I asked if he had a cold. No, he replied, my granddaughter is training as a beautician and yesterday removed the hairs from my nose and I haven't stopped sneezing ever since I then had an account of the problems involved with waxing Had a chuckle to myself when he left .

Barbara, how's your hip after your fall?

Hi Mig,

We mods aren't on this site all day every day, we promise that we will read all posts within a day of them being posted. Comments like 'get your act together' are most unhelpful, please be assured we don't want ordinary posts to end up in the moderation queue.

We have asked for help to identify what is wrong and for it to be corrected as soon as possible.

The 'k' word has been entered into the banned words as it was the only way we could think of to stop that variety of spam being posted on the forum. We still get lots of 'k' spam but now you don't see it as it goes into the mod queue and we can ban it from there.

Other than that word it is swear words that will trigger a delayed post

Sorry remembered all the problems we had with that word but That word didn't appear in my first post so something else must have triggered it . Mig
