Hello Coco. Thanks for the goodies to keep us going. Having put on 5lbs in weight over the Christmas I'd better have just the one piece of pie.
Love to everyone

I was so sad to hear Toni's news. She's such a lovely person and a very special cafe friend. Just hoping that Lucy will receive the best of care and she is better soon. Keeping Toni and her family in my thoughts and prayers - and sending them my love xx0
-
I'm sorry to hear about Lucy, Toni. Hope you all keep strong. You can get through this. (((hugs))) and love to you and Lucy, Paul and the girls.
Thank you for the goodies Coco. I lost half a stone over Xmas so I'll have some cake please.Christine0 -
The news about Toni's Lucy is awful...my prayers go out to them...she is in such a good hospital bless her ..Toni like you say is such a special lady...but I am sure she will stay strong...and we are all behind her.
I will have a cuppa and sit by the window...xxxLove
Barbara0 -
Catie, thanks for letting me know about Toni . As you have already said, such a lovely lady, and I'm sure we will all keep Lucy in our thoughts and prayers.
Best wishes to all0 -
As Rosie Glow said Toni is strong. But this a lot to cope with, especially being unwell herself. i also hope her Daughter Charlie will continue with her studies at uni and not let this disrupt her studies.
Toni is always so kind to everyone else it seems so unfair.....

Morning all,It does feel strange on the forum as if we are all in limbo,I send my good wishes to everyone.
I have made comfort food so if you wander into the cafe just help yourself there's shepherds pie with cheesey mash and cauliflower cheese. Mig0 -
Hello everyone,
Mig, that`s exactly the right word....Limbo. I am thinking of Toni - and Lucy of course - all the time, and wishing there was something I could do. I`m sure though that all our love and prayers will help, in some small way.
Toni, I hope you find the strength to cope.......Thinking of you with much love.....Rosie.x.0 -
Hugs to Toni. So hoping she is able to rest herself. Those hospital facilities aren't always the best for parents.
Hoping everyone else is well. Sorry to hear about your friend flooded Barbara. We seemed to escape the worst of it this time although I'm sure one of the trees is leaning a bit to the right and a little bit forward.
2 out of 3 children are back. I thought Lucy had the day off but the school rang at 10 to ask where she was!

Mig, you were 'spot on' when using the word 'limbo' - that's exactly how I'm feeling. Really fancy the menu too
Elizabeth, that's a mistake so easily made.
Toni and Lucy, you are never far from my thoughts x
Love to everyone x0 -
Afternoon all
Mig I couldnt think of the word...its has left us all in limbo...for the min...I am sure when Lucy is on the mend Toni will be pleased to be back..and Val will always be in our thoughts....like Elizabeth says I hope Toni is doing ok with her health...dont you just feel useless...wish I could go and hold her hand..
Mig thanks for the comfort food very welcome...xxxxLove
Barbara0 -
evening all, ive obviously missed what is going on with toni and her family, i hope they are ok
i dont know what to say or if i should say anything at all, so much has happened whilst i was away i dont want to intrude0 -
Hi Limbo is a great word for the way we feel.
Val will always be in our thoughts and prayerfully Lucy will be on the mend soon and then Toni will be back on the forum
Love
Hileena0 -
Limbo is the right word. I think we're all waiting for things to feel better. Still thinking of Val and sending positive vibes to Toni and Lucy.
Your poor friend, Barbara. Hope she can get things sorted out soon. Our river is very high but hasn't burst it banks this time and our High Street Xmas tree nearly blew away last night. The enforcement officers managed to tie it down.
Thanks for the comfort food Mig. I think we all need it.
Elizabeth, I used to send the kids to school when they were supposed to be off so I know it's easy done.
Coco, there is a thread about what is going on with Toni if you want to catch up but I'm sure no-one thinks you are intruding. We are all friends in here.
I managed to go to work today but only sat and did the ironing. They didn't expect anything more. Then had a dentist appointment to remove an old bridge and have the preparations done for a new one. I burst out laughing while the dentist was drilling. She stopped suddenly wondering what was wrong. Took me a few minutes to stop laughing before I could tell her that she'd had her little finger up my nose. She obviously didn't feel it because she had rubber gloves on.
Hi to everyone I haven't mentioned. Hope you are all ok.Christine0 -
Hey all, well what a time for me to return. Sad and shocked about Val and also reading today about Tonis daughter,Strange times indeed.
I haven't been on a desert island just needed to get my move sorted (it took nearly a year), my re diagnosis of old diagnosis (long story that one) and new meds sorted but am back and will look in on u all.
Fence has blown down in the winds, hope you are all safe. Sorry to read about your friend Barbara, hope she gets sorted soon.
Anyhow I just wanted to say hi and send you all big hugs.

Hi Everyone,
Lovely to see some new faces in the cafe - new to me anyway
Barbara, what a wait you've had for those patches - hope he writes a script for you soon.
I remember having that gas Barbara when I was about 6. I woke up in the chair laughing my head off.....dreamt I was being chased through the high street by all my school teachers lol
Good to see Toni has posted on the update thread. So. pleased Lucy's treatment has begun. Lots of hugs to them both x
We've just had hailstones the size of golf balls , but no flooding thankfully.
Those poor people in the USA....crikey what low temperatures they're having to endure... Fingers crossed that we don't have the same
Better make tracks. See you all later.
Catie x0 -
Hi
Thanks for the welcome.....not a newbie lol but tend to spend most of my time on LWA forum
I remember that gas ...many years ago
I was so pleased to see Toni posting although I don't think any of us expect her to reply
Poor Lucy.I hope Toni is looking after herself.....yhou know what she's like  She needs to for Lucys sake
I've just been watching some pictures on the news from USA.....that must be awful.
Today is OK up until now anyway. No rain yet.
Love
Hileena0 -
Catie I remember the gas very well...but my dentist was a real butcher...so didnt do much laughing...
Hileena....America is having it bad...minus 50... we have had it quite mild today...
Toni text to say that the chemo is delayed for today....and could you make her a caramel macchiato...she badly needs one..told her she can have has many as she want on the house...
Right better get the tea on ...see you all later..xxxxxxLove
Barbara0 -
Oh Barbara
That will just make things worse wont it.......being ready for the chemo and then it being delayed
I'm sure she could do with a caramel macchiato
Toni take care and know we are all thinking about you
Love
hileena0 -
Hi Clare. Yes we are all feeling a little sad at the moment. Glad you have got sorted out and hope you get your fence fixed ok.
Barbara, hope your GP has prescribed you the patches. I think you deserve them. We'll have to keep a macchiato ready and waiting for Toni.
Catie, those hail golf balls sound bad. Hope you weren't outside in them.
Hileena, yes it is terrible in the US, isn't it? So glad we don't get it as bad here.
The window cleaner arrived at work today to clean the windows in the pouring rain. He was soaked through but kept going. Never known anyone clean the windows while it chucked it down.Christine0 -
We have a girl opposite us and she is always cleaning the car.....its not hers...its "theirs" but you never see him cleaning it :?
The other day when it was absolutely pouring down I looked out the kitchen window and there she was.....cleaning away at the car :?: :?:
At least the window cleaner gets paid for it.......she doesn't unless her OH gives her pocket money for doing it
Love

Hello everyone,
I`m just putting a candle in the window for Lucy, with a little posy of freesias. Let`s make sure the candle remains lit until she is well again.
Had my final check up this morning, and the Surgeons exact words were that I`d made an "incredible recovery", and then said he could tell I`d worked hard to achieve it. He`s asked the physio, who still comes to my home, to order a splint of some sort for under the dropped toes. This should, hopefully, help give me better balance. I`m still a bit like Aggie Wobble when I get nervous. Added to all this, Arthur has now set up home in my left wrist. Came on very suddenly, and I was hoping it may be something else. The way it`s lasting, I doubt it though.
I haven`t been sleeping well, so have succumbed to taking a zopiclone tonight. I really need some good sleep.......Much love to you all, especially our Toni and Lovely Lucy......Rosie.x.0
