    Good Morning everyone :)

Gosh you've all been so busy reading has made my head spin!!

Glad to see KathT is NOT in hospital any longer and everything is under control :?

All is well here today and I even planted some seeds (tomato and cucumber) so feeling happier too :)

Car broke down on me Tuesday (the day it was going in for it's MOT anyway) but at the hospital. Breakdown came and started it said it was the starter motor so that was done too as well as 4 new tyres, re-gassed air-con (essential for Lucy's chemo hot-flushes!), a few bulbs etc etc. They lent me a courtesy car Citroen C1 (tiny!!) kindly for the two days. My back and assorted joints didn't like it at all :x

I shall very quickly clean round:

    a010.gif washing up done
a070.gif quick hoover....necessary because someone else has been doing THIS!!!

    c035.gif

    hehehe!

    Love to you all

Hello everybody, little bit chilly again (well I think so, maybe it's me or we're in a cold little patch here), but have stopped moaning & put the kettle on instead. :D

Sorry it went frosty on your sweetpeas barbara I hope they look ok and have not been 'nipped'. I have a few hollyhock seedlings, more spring onions, and one lemongrass to report. They seem unwilling to come up; like a lot of my seeds, I should learn to plant more to allow for failure, keep saying I will.

Toni nice to hear you've got some toms & cucumber in :D hope you keep Mr Snail off your cucumbers this time I remember he was nomming his way through the last lot. I haven't got much in the way of veg planned but I have started off some carrots and I may do a few peas after all. If I can get some tall bamboo home somehow..

Glad you had a good day out in the garden applerose :) I expect you are very gratified looking at your weeding & tidying progress. Sorry your sisters are being so petty I know you have said before they can be like that, well done for rising above it, not that easy when people are posting catty things & making remarks. I would probably rise to it so I applaud your good sense.
Hope you have a lovely Sunday with family. :D

TK sorry I did not pick up on your throat being troublesome too. Must be an extra irritation. I have often seen swallowing problems mentioned alongside RA but haven't quite grasped what connection there might be. How long have you had the inhaler & do you find it helps significantly. Hope the elbows improve, painful elbows are horrid aren't they as you are aware of them most of the time. Hope you have as restful a Bank Hol as possible.

I have been working on some listings today to sell some stuff on you-know-where, I have been doing more buying than selling  so thought I should balance out a bit. Just cheap things so I will not make much but it adds up to 'pocket money' to spend back I guess. And it amuses me, wish it took less effort to get the listings done as I would do more.

Hope you like your new dining room arrangement mig, nice to change things surprising how it perks things up.

Thank you for the Easter wishes joan, and as I realise I haven't actually wished anyone a Happy Easter yet, I will do so now. I was looking for a daffodil pic but fell in love with this beautiful fox instead. I think we'll keep him apart from any easter bunnies & chickens though. Happy Easter all.

Well done getting the seeds planted Toni. I haven't done any yet. Glad you got your car sorted. They are a nightmare when they break down. Sorry we didn't keep up with the hoovering in here. You've had to do it again. :o

Glad you got your sweet peas in Barbara. Hope the frost hasn't affected them. let us know how they get on.

Toady, I think it's been one of those days when it's warm in the sun and chilly out of it. Yes, I'm quite pleased with the way one side of the garden looks now. My sister phoned this morning to see if I wanted a lift to dad's and was extra friendly. I didn't bother mentioning the things she said. If they want to play games, let them get on with it. I think it's the hassle of writing about things and uploading photos then posting them, that puts me off selling. I've just put 3 old vacuum cleaners  on a selling site on F*ceb**k. 3 people have asked for 2 of them. Love your picture of the fox.

Hi Joan. Hope things are ok with you.

Hope you are all having a good weekend.

Barbara I don't spend much time on FB now. It's mainly to see the pictures my daughter puts on and I can video chat to her and the kids on there. I think it's strange that people complain about people on there then talk to them when they see them as if they hadn't said anything. Dad seems healthy enough but keeps talking about going on holiday by himself. Don't think that's a good idea now so I keep suggesting days out rather than a week away to put him off. So you 'accidentally' bought an extra egg? I've done that before.

DD has posted to say Lucy is back in hospital. They'll be looking after her in there. Hope Toni is coping.

Hee what a brilliant pic Christine.. yea facebook has it uses but its been ruined by some of the users I keep in touch with family and that is it..my GD has had bullying on there..and it has really knocked her confidence.. :x Awww poor Toni and Lucy...what a blinking shame..and will go and post my support in a min thanks for letting us know..I remember my dad booking a coach trip... think I told you he had brain tumors..but it never kept him in and his sight had gone..so off I went to the coach company and explained...they were lovely and told him they had overbooked...so yes we did day trips .. :)
Today is windy and quite chilly..

Wishing everyone a Happy Easter. No eggs here either Joan, but have just eaten half a box of M**t**ers.

Feeling much better today. I had the last of my IVs yesterday and the District Nurse came and took my line out - phew, glad that's gone.

Love the bunny picture Applerose. I love hares.

Lovely photo of the fox too Toady.

We had rain this morning, then sun and now it is going very overcast again. Cold too. I remember Easter weekends when I was a girl, wearing shorts and T-shirt. We usually went off on a day trip for picnics - am I getting old?

    Easter hugs to you all
    Kath xx

Hello Kath, I was just on my way in to ask after you, glad you have posted & you are feeling better :) brilliant to have got shot of the IV. M**t**rs, now that's something like it, if only they could be substituted for M*th*tr***** with drs handwriting, shouldn't be too hard to forge a prescription.

It certainly is a bit on the cold, damp & miserable side today. Have started half a dozen odd jobs & getting nowhere with any of 'em so far. :? Ah well, tea up.

Will get my eb*y stuff up this evening so I will report back if I have any surprise bestsellers. Yes fees are up & up with them barbara, often in a sneaky way too, have you spotted the change to the 99p free listings setup? Hmm.

What a great pic applerose. Oh to have all that bunny energy & those springy legs, eh. :D

Te**o tomorrow for me so last orders for cakes by this evening.. xx

Yes Barbara, I remember you telling us about your dad. Good idea talking to the coach company. I do the same if I have chocolate, eat enough to make myself feel sick. That was nice of your son to cook dinner. The baby must have enjoyed her chocolate. I can imagine what she looked like. Lovely that the bees have been checking out your bee boxes. I'm sure they'll move in soon.

Glad you're feeling better Kath. Glad you've got the line out. I remember wearing school summer dresses from Easter right through till autumn. Don't think you're getting old, just the weather is changing.

Toady, hope you managed to get your things on Eb*y. Haven't put anything on in ages. Maybe I won't bother now if the fees are so high now.

Hope you've had a lovely Easter too oan.

Yesterday was a lovely day at my dil's parents'. Her mum makes a good Sunday lunch and it was good to see the GC. It doesn't matter how much we try to get Ruby to walk, she just doesn't seem to see the need to, seeing as she crawls well.

Spent quite a bit of time in the garden today and quite pleased with what I got done. It has been sunny and warm most of the day.

Hi all, glad you've had sun, bit mixed here, cold out of the sun again and if you're in the 'wrong' side of the house indoors.

Got my listings done for what it's worth, not a lot probably  the new fees thing is worth being aware of, it boils down to them 'giving' you 20 free listings a month (inc buy it now and scheduled start) and at any start price, but doing away with the usual free under 99p thing. After 20 listings it'll be 35p :o .So some people will be worse off especially if you list a lot, but they make it somehow sound like a good thing of course. Full details in 'announcements' somewhere if you poke about, I think I have my facts right but worth checking. Still 10% fees.

Perhaps I hadn't better offer cake around too freely seeing as people don't know where to stop apparently.. stuffing in too much chocolate at once.. that sort of thing. I had chocolate iced doughnut and vanilla & choc ice-cream for 'pudding' :D not sure if I'm putting on any weight, don't like to check too often in case it fluctuates and I mislead myself. Just have to keep eating up & hoping for the best.

Hope you get some bees barbara :) ..going to have a look in Gardening to see what applerose has been doing. Best to joan too.. and all.. plus anyone reading & not posting, toady xx

    Morning all
A scary day today my eldest son has a scan on a lump in his neck..he had a biopsy last week...so I am a very worried mum...
Hubby has take him to hospital then he say he is going on to work...suppose it will take his mind of things..
Christine Im so glad you had a good day at dils parents how lovely that she cooked the dinner...and how nice to be with your GC... :)
Toady I have been checking out Eb**its awful how they keep hiking up there commission...no wounder they are losing customers trouble is its been going for so long...it has a good review system..well in a fashion...
Its pouring down here after a lovely Easter...
Will see you all later xxxxx

Morning barbara.. sorry you are worried about your son's scan, how long will he be there & then when will the results be back? Time must be hanging heavy for you, don't expect you'll have much success taking your mind off things.. but keeping busy makes the time go slightly quicker that's all. I will make us a good strong cup of tea.. don't suppose it will rival DD's early hours super-cuppa but I will do my best :)

Then I am going to tackle an annoying little job.. having long since taken the old wallpaper off my kitchen I have been working round to getting it off the inside of the kitchen cupboards, which is fiddly because the paper was put up & the cupboards hung over it so there is paper trapped behind all the edges.. if you would like to grab a scraper & join me it will be your good deed for the day  At least I have got the incentive of the 'nice job' at the end, putting everything back in & re-organising it, & it will look much better & stop bugging me.

Dull today but no rain here.. not cold either so could be worse. Kettle on. :)

Thank you joan :) I have had some views and acquired 1 'watcher' so far but that often means nothing from experience.

Quiet today so far, hope people are ok, maybe there will be a rush later.. best check the milk & sugar in case.. I actually have soya milk in tea so I bring my own not everyone likes it but if I go back to milk in tea now I don't like it.. except if I have tea out, & then for some reason it seems ok. :?

Hello Toady and Joan and thankyou don't worry I wont burden you all with this just thought I would let you know..in case I go quiet..thanks for the strong tea Toady :) ...he had the biopsies last week and bloods and a camera down his throat...then this full body scan ...last week they said it would be two weeks for the results..we cant complain at the speed of everything he only went to his GP on the Monday before Easter Monday..
RightI will leave it for now you all have enough going on....it rain hard today so didnt have to water my garden now the sun is shinning...so just been shopping for some grass seed any excuse really...I have decided to seed what bit we are or grassing over...
I forgot at the weekend my middle GD went outside to feed the birds and ran in saying there is a very large chicken in the garden we just saw it flying over it was an Heron...I think :? or a crane not sure if any of them are rare.. :o will see you later xxxxx

Oh Barbara, that is scary. I'm sure it will be fine but you can't help worrying, can you? I forgot to water my plants last night so was glad the garden got a good water with the rain today. It came down heavy. Wow, a heron. They usually go in to peoples gardens to steal the fish. Bet it got a surprise when it saw your pond had gone.

Hope you managed to get the wallpaper off Toady. I only have cow's milk when I'm at someone else's house. I tried soya milk but found it a bit dry, if you know what I mean. I use almond mild at the moment but now and again, I use coconut milk.

Hope you enjoy Cats tomorrow Mig.

Hi Joan, hope your weather is better than ours.

There was a protest in our High Street today which I went to. The council decided that it would be a good idea to pull up a great big section of the cobbles from around our town hall. Our High Street is well known for the town hall and the full street of cobbles. We weren't consulted about it. They only told us they were going to do it a fortnight ago and the workmen turned up this morning to make a start. So I was on tv for a full second as I walked past a woman who was being interviewed. Oops. It won't stop them from removing the cobbles but, at least, we can let them know how we feel. We got nearly 2000 signatures saying we want to keep them. We don't have more than 4000 in the town.
