Evening all
I have passed on all your good wishes to Kath,she sent me a message on facebook , has you know I don't really go on much ,but I saw the email and read it..never knew you could send private messages like that..shows what I know..anyhow she is very tired and expects to be in a while they think its Pseudomonas, so I googled it and it can come out of water or soil and causes serious lung infections in people that have a low immune,they will know more when they do some test..
I hope she will feel much better very soon..and she is in the best place bless her..
I will keep you updated when Kath gets in touch..hope you all have a good evening xxxx

Toni, no need to apologise. We didn't expect to hear much from you at the moment. Hope you are feeling rested now. I'm sure you'll find more time to be in the garden now.

Barbara, don't blame you taking your pillows with you. You can't guarantee a comfy one elsewhere. Was just reading about Kath. Hope she gets better very quickly.

We went off to a carboot this morning..took the chair with me but there wasn't much on so went and had a sandwich at a little garden center and came home with a Jasmin ..its around 4ft tall and lots of flowers on ..we could smell it in the car..
Still not seen bubbles around..hope she is doing ok...see you all later xxxx

That sounds like a nice little morning out barbara, must try & follow your example & make the effort to get out now its nicer. How lovely to get a scented jasmine. Is there any magnolia left on your neighbours'? My first seedling of the year is up (pea), some pots I didn't mark, so I will have to work out what they are when they come up. I always think I'll remember. :?

Just popping in again with some apple sponge and ice-cream.

Have just emptied and shredded one folder of paperwork. Not exactly going to make whole square feet of space. Still it's something. :?

Hope TK is alright, it's been a few days.. anyway hope her weekend has been ok.. & things in general. Doesn't feel like a Sunday, if anything it feels like a Bank Hol; so when it is one, that won't feel right either I expect.

Toady you have twisted my arm... I love apple sponge...talking of being a strange day..our TV is on the blink and we were watching the snooker...all the red balls are black the pink is grey...thank goodness for the commentator..its takes me back the the days of black and white TV only all there face are a yellow colour the baby has been and peppa pig is no longer pink ...she is fuming..
yes hope Elizabeth is ok...right a cuppa with my sponge cake..

Barbara, I noticed Kath has liked a couple of our posts on FB but hasn't said anything. Hopefully, she feels a little better now. I'm feeling quite well at the moment but my eyes aren't quite so good so not spending much time on the computer. Thanks for asking. I haven't been to a car boot sale for a lot of years but used to find I either found quite a few things or nothing at all. A Jasmine plant? They have such a wonderful scent. Oh my goodness, your tv doesn't sound well at all. The poor baby and poor Peppa.

Toady, I sometimes sow seeds and think I'll remember what they are. I've got plenty of plant labels so no excuse not to mark them. Hope you've managed to get the floor cleared for your new carpet. One folder of paper is still something. One bit at a time and you'll get there. It's not long till the next bank holiday. Wish we could have one every month. Thank you for the sponge and custard.

I set off to walk to the park in the next town but the bus pulled up so I jumped on. The kitchen garden staff had cooked a rhubarb cake (which I couldn't try), rhubarb whip and rhubarb lemonade. And they made wild garlic pesto which was delicious. I got the recipes for all of them and the cook gave me a bag of wild garlic that she had picked so I've made some pesto and frozen the rest. Went to get the bus home but had missed it and it was an hour till the next one so walked home. Took me an hour. My poor toes went numb. Think I had the wrong shoes on for walking that far.

It's my GS's 4th birthday tomorrow. He had his bowling party yesterday. My daughter had put the invitations in the cubby holes at his pre-school. On the day of the party, there were 2 boys with the same first name, one of them they didn't know. Think that invitation must have got mixed up. Anyway, it means my GS got an extra present and a new friend.

Also, Mango has to be at the airport at 8am tomorrow to get ready for his flight. His granddad has everything ready. His paperwork in a file and his food all ready to go. Can't wait to hear he has arrived safely.

Hope Bubbles and Elizabeth are ok.

Morning all..the sun is out but very frosty this morning..
Christine sorry your eyes are still not good, but its nice to be feeling well especially at this time of the year when we want to be in the garden..I hope Kath is feeling better,its a blinking shame she has so much going on.. ..so Mango is off he will be there now bless..waiting to check in.. wouldn't it be good if he had a camera on him..how lovely of them to
give you the wild garlic..we have it growing in the fields at the back of the house..only found out recently.. I do love pesto..sorry you missed the bus coming back your poor toes...
Yes our TV..it is an old one 12 years.. but was such a brilliant picture..never mind..OH want a massive one ..a man thing I think .. :roll:
Middle GD just gone to school in grandads taxi...so we had to be up at 7...but its easier when its sunny ...

Barbara, I hope things are better today for Kath. I'm sure she'll be very well looked after. The lady at the park told me it was ok to gather some wild garlic. She said to only pick the leaves and flowers but not to pull up the bulb and roots. I had always left it as you use the bulb of garlic normally. Yes, I think it's a man thing to want a huge tv.

Joan, not sure how Kath is. She hasn't posted on Facebook but is probably resting. Don't know if anyone else has heard from her. I'm ok today. Don't think the walk has affected me too much, thanks.

The pet relocation people sent my daughter a photo of Mango just before he was taken on the plane. Wouldn't say he looked happy but looked ok. Barbara, it would be a good idea if he had a camera with him. Joan, his plane left at 2pm this afternoon and he is stopping in Dubai for 10 hours then flying again to Melbourne. He'll get there about 3.30pm (our time) tomorrow (Wednesday). Think I've got that right.

I'll leave the kettle on for anyone else who calls in.

Wow, just watched the radar and saw Mango's plane land in Dubai. Unfortunately, there wasn't a webcam. Hoping the kennels will post a photo of him on their FB page.

Christine that is brilliant watching Mango flight land..what a shame he cant go walk about's and see Dubai hope they do put some pics on..what a good idea having a facebook page..and sending your daughter a pic..
I hope we do here off Kath soon, she suddenly stopped sending messages..so I worry ..like you say she is in the best place..
A man came yesterday to look at the TV..and he said the other colours will go soon... :roll: so today we are off to look at tvs..I have dwindled it down going off reviews..

Afternoon all, Hope we hear from Kath soon getting worried now.
I make meat and potato pie from tinned stewed steak ,paid £2.40 for one tin from who i usually shop on line with went in one of the bargain shops and got the same thing for £1 :shock: just goes to show what you can save by shopping around.
Very cold and windy today.

Barbara yes sue wont stand on her feet she's worried about falling she use's a banana board and slides along to her wheelchair or scoota.

Barbara, good to hear your sinuses are a bit better. Hope you get your appointment soon to get it sorted. No sign of Kath yet. Maybe she just can't get online. It is very expensive in hospitals. Did you get a new tv?

Mig, are those tins of stew ok? I always worry in case they are fatty. I don't like fat.

Joan, I hope Sue can manage ok getting about using the board to get to her chair.

My daughter got an email to say Mango was in the kennels after his flight. They said he was friendly but shy. He wouldn't eat his food and didn't go to the toilet which is a worry. Took off again early this morning and should land in Melbourne in about an hour. I was determined not to buy ice cream this week but they had my favourite on offer so 2 tubs fell in my basket. Oops!

Hello all. Had my usual monday tiredness but had to go to Dan's school for update on how to help with his noise issues. We have some good ideas to try.

Then popped to m&s to collect a parcel I mistakenly put for collect from store instead from of home delivery. Even with a BB space It was still a walk and I have now damaged my elbow badly so in a lot of pain. But I did get £43 of food free with my vouchers saved up. I got lots of fruit and not too many sweet stuff as we all (except my oldest Son) need to lose weight.

Oh poor Mango! I hope he arrives safely and isn't frightened.
Happy birthday to your Grandson.

Poor Kath too, I'm not sure if she is home yet and how weak and drained she is feeling.

Toady should have her carpets now. I'm sure it looks lovely.

Found out OH cousin is in hospital having a baby today. We had no idea she was even expecting. Mind you OH might have been told and forgot to tell me as he often does this!

hope all is well with Barbara. Our TV went funny this year, anything black went red so it was hard to watch what was happening, We didn't buy a great big TV to replace it as I don't see the point.

Barbara I was trying to work out why on earth the company would change the colour of Peppa pig but you mean on your TV don't you?
and I have a jasmine, think it is called starburst and is supposed to be a climber but its competing with roses and honeysuckle in our garden so is looking a bit lost. But the smell is gorgeous!

Morning all,persisting it down here in nottm.
Meat and tater pie for tea with really cheesy cauliflower and gravy.
Have you heard from Kath yet Barbara ?
Had bloods done yesterday didn't even feel the needle going in,rheumy appointment in 10 days time hopefully it will be carry on.
Hope it dries up soon although the rhubarb needs the rain as does the grass.

Mig I use the tinned steak for potato pie..its always its always taste good ,I'm another that like a bargain..its much easier now with the net..and the £1 shops... good luck with the blood results ..Kath hasn't message me since so I will leave her alone for now..hope she is improving..
Christine..how lovely that your daughter is updated on Mango..poor thing but I am sure he will make up with the food when he sees them..he will be there now ..not sure what is going on here, but I am another craving ice cream..even OH commented on it..I like the really crunchy cones and making wafers
Elizabeth yes it our TV... I love the snooker...but its frustrating at the min..we did look at some but how complex are TVs now... :? sorry you had to collect your parcel it is easily done ticking the wrong box..especially when tired.. and elbows can be so painful ..hope it ease soon...good the the school is on the ball with Dan...
Joan I can imagine Sue being scared of putting that leg on the floor..it knocks your confidence and will take a while bless..hope things improve soon...good job you have your scooters...
It poured down last night..and was its no wounder our joints are painful with all the changes... :roll: today I will be attempting some jobs...I am finding it hard to hold the iron at the min..and thats a fact so stop laughing...

Sorry I have been AWOL :oops:

As you probably know things have been happening.

I had some payback from the charity event (fair enough and worth it!) we raised altogether £5,444.59p

Lucy finished her hypnotherapy and successfully had her chemo and blood-test via two separate needles yesterday so that was also worth it

I do hope Kath is doing ok. I have left messages on facebook too. Hoping it really IS reception in the hospital - it can be rubbish :roll:
