Hi Christine Barbara Toni Mig Joan Elizabeth's
We have three cats Barbara, two Ragdolls and one Siamese, they are all getting older now, 17, 16 and 15. They sleep most of the time now, apart from when they decide to have mad times, when I am trying to have a nap  They are spoilt rotten and pampered.
Our neighbour hates thunderstorms, normally hides in her bedroom with the tv on loud.
Facebook is really good for finding lost pets, you see them on the buy and sell pages, people who have had pets wander off. Usually they are found safe and sound, which is a great use of the social media. Word gets round in a flash.
We were just popping into the vets and Sainsb----, but we decided to pop into our local Nero's, so I could have my coffee fix One was free, on a full loyalty card and then she gave me a free top up, so I didn't refuse. I resisted a scone, even though they were shouting me from the counter top.
It was quiet out, the snow had probably put people off. It has all gone now, apart from on the hills.
Good of your Niece to help with the cleaning Barbara. Talking of Nieces, ours sent a message "what were we doing Sunday", nothing so far, so she said they would come over and we could all go out for lunch, v nice. Never turn down a lunch out
Right I had better potter and fuss.
Take care one and all. XXXXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
 forgot about the voting. That's what happens when you use postal voting, so mine's all done and dusted before the actual date.
Yes Bubbles, it might be a good idea to bring the meds trolley. Just as long as you have paracetamol spare. I still use it 4 times a day, in spite of Fentanyl patches and Oramorph.
RIP Valma. I'm sure you and your neighbours will give her a good send off mig.
It really chucked it down last night. My fairy house got wet through, good job it has been sealed (Windows and door) or the poor fairies and elves would have got drenched. Emily has elves and Alex has fairies. I have a commune! :?

Hello Kath - am glad to hear your fairies and elves are all safely dry and warm Bless them!
Tia does a postal vote too being in Chester. I expect hers is done - she's home tonight so I'll ask her.
Charley is picking Lucy up from the salon for me bless her so I can rest a bit
They have their uses Like Barbara's niece She is a lovely girl isn't she? Nice you can treat her and I bet you anything she wants to help. She can't take the pain away, but she can clean!
Mig I was very sorry to hear about your lovely neighbour and friend ((()))
Aidan pusskins are meant to be spoiled as Daisycat in forms me. Oh last night I was eating a bag of wotsits and feeding her treats from a bag of f*lix goody bag. You guessed it I accidentally put cat treats in my gob
I have £23 something on my c*sta card too....might treat us all eh? That's what comes of spending half your life at hospital for over 2 years!!!
No lunch out for me sadly I was stuck in a traffic jam in Stafford for over an hour!!
No idea why had some toast when I got back here.
CURRY night tonight so I don't mind
Christine you were right Lucy isn't interested, but blimey another one is already!!! This one has a car and Lucy said she blew him out in year 7....
I do hope the pet crow has turned up by now so sad
There's a huge sign at the end of our road handwritten says 'SLOW DOG LOOSE' I hope they find him/her safe and sound too.

Good to hear that the elves are safe and dry Kath - there are many magical things in the garden, just that we don't see them. We get little mushroom circles appear on the grass.
Oh dear, eating cat treats Toni, I remember eating Bonio and those triangle dog treats when I was little, used to drive Mum mad, until she gave up and let me share them with the dog   Shapes, that's what they were called.
Yes, the coffee's are on you Toni - Oh has a wallet full of different ones, like a pack of cards, lol. We have a hospital Costa one too.
Hope you managed to rest up a little. Curry, sounds good. We are having M&S garlic baguettes and fresh super greens soup............then cheesecake and natural Greek yoghurt.
No more snow at the moment Barbara, brilliant sunshine at the moment.
Nap time is coming up, I am fading, bless.
Take care XXXXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Barbara, I often wonder how much my boss would have to pay if he used an agency. That's why I asked for a wage rise last month. Keep him worried I might leave. Yes, FB does help a lot finding lost pets or property. No sign of the crow yet though. It is lovely of your niece to do some cleaning for you. Is it the same niece you go out to lunch with?
Aiden, are ragdoll cats the ones that go floppy when you pick them up? Isn't that just typical that they want to play when you want to sleep. Well done on resisting the scone. If it was calling to me, I would have had it. And I never turn down an offer of lunch either. My granddad told me, when I was very young, that the mushroom rings were used as tables and chairs at night when the fairies had a party. He wouldn't have lied to me so I know they do exist. :deckchair:
Kath, have you already voted then? I still haven't made my mind up. I'm glad your fairies and elves are safe and dry. Hope Emily's elves and Alex's fairies are too. :splash:
Oh Toni, how do the pussykins treats taste? Not sure I'd fancy them. I had curry for tea tonight too. It was a ready meal as I'm too shattered on Fridays to stand and cook. If Lucy isn't interested in this boy, I'm sure there will be plenty of others queuing up. Still no queue but what a good idea to put the sign up for the lost dog. Hopefully, car drivers will look out for the dog. :hammock:
Joan, I actually like being on my own at work. No-one to get in my way and I can have the radio turned up loud. :bouncing-ball:
Heavy rain here all morning but thankfully it stopped as I finished work and stayed dry till I'd been to visit my dad, done my bit of shopping and got to the front gate at home then the heavens opened. I bent down to pick something up this morning and my back shouted rather loudly. Silly me. I know not to do that. I managed to stop it getting worse so it's just been niggling all day. Think I'll have to go and lie on the floor to watch tv in a bit. :sland-shark: The third stage of the Tour de Yorkshire is stating in the next big town on Sunday. Not sure if I should go for a look. Not sure I want to stand in the freezing pouring rain though. :swim-shark:Christine0 -
Christine be careful standing getting cold if your back is a bit cross :? You really could make it worse! If you really want to go you could try putting a heat patch on before you go and keep moving as much as you can.
Pusskin treats are not that pleasant no..... crunchy with a soft centre of - foulness!!! I really don't understand Aidan how you could have enjoyed them as a child!!
I am trying to upload a photo to photobucket so you don't all think I am mad!!
Right that is a photo of each packet I was 'tipping' them in my gob!! I have tried to get rid of the names - mods is it ok for us to show photos of brands??
Tia's Grandad is getting worse on his legs and they appointed an agency cleaning service on Wednesday - they pay £7.50 to the cleaner and £3 per hour to the agency!
By the way another lad was knocking this door last night!! She let this one in....seems ok so far.
Aidan - you ate dog treats by choice  your poor Mum must have been tearing her hair out with you
Right what would we all like to drink - posh coffees are on me
Caramel macchiato anyone?
The curry last night was lovely, but tonight I have to eat a 'proper' meal as it's ma birthday - I will be 28 this time hahaha!
Joan thank you Lucy did ok we hope. She had her hair cut last night after 'work' and looks good I hope all is well with you?

Talking of cat treat I remember my youngest son when he was little spying a chocolate drop on the floor and sneaking over to eat it..yes you guess the rest..the cat was fuming..
Christine yes its the same neice..Just the one and I love her like shes my daughter..you be careful with that back I hope its not too painful..especially it being cold..it easily done.
bubbles you made me laugh ragdolls..or is that an actual breed... :? the ones next door or 16 and upward apart from the kitten they rescued..she is lovely but still tiny..
kath glad to hear your fairy house kept dry inside ..dont want any complaints...
Joan thank you hope you and hope you both have a good weekend
Right better go Niamh is with daddy...xxxxxLove

Happy birthday Toni. Hope you have a wonderful day.
I will be careful. My back isn't too bad today. Still not sure if I'm going but great idea about the heat patch. I've got one on the medicine shelf. Oh yuk but I can see how you made the mistake with the packets being the same colour. I shouldn't really complain about how much I get paid. It's a bit more than that but I know a couple of people here who are getting £12 on their own. I knew there would be a queue of boys for Lucy. Yes please to the caramel macchiato.
Joan, hope you are having a good weekend.
Barbara, poor cat missing out on his chochie drop. My back is a bit better today but I'm still being careful. My daughter's dog is nearly 14 and still runs round like a puppy although he is a bit deaf and blind now.
Just waiting for my son and his family to come round. They've decided to sell the car and get a smaller one and are out looking now. They're finding they won't get as much for the one they're selling and the cars they are looking at are selling for more than they thought.Christine0 -
Just realised, the postal vote I did was for the local police commissioner. Don't think I've done the one for staying or leaving Europe. I've mislaid it, so my vote won't go in. Don't know if it's a good thing or not.
Toni, hope you are having a lovely birthday.
Aiden, I used to love doggy biscuits as a child, especially the black ones. I used to pick them out of the bag my nannan kept her dog Peggy's biscuits in. We used to have a Polish shop nearby, and the used to sell fish flavoured sweets. Used to like those too. :P
Emily wants some candy striped bedding, with duvet cover and fitted sheets. Found some in the shop with a river through it, so will get her some. She'll be thrilled."Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." Robert A Heinlein

Happy Birthday Toni, every Best Wish on your special day.X
Kath, I am glad I am not alone in eating doggie biscuits  I remember the black ones, but bonio was my favourite. Poor Mother, God Bless Her. I also used the share the dogs bone, Judy would be at one end and I would be gnawing at the other. I don't think it did me any harm.
Hope the bedding goes down well, sounds very nice.
I didn't realise that the voting was for the Police Commissioner, until I looked at the Poll Cards the other day. Not sure who is who or what is what, will have to nosey on Google. The BIG vote is in June, I remember that one.
Lots of pottering to keep the joints from setting completely, lots of bleaching and cleaning what I can reach, anything else is OH domain. We seem all clean and tidy, cats all asleep in the sunshine.
Nearly pills time - I could do with my own trolley really, instead of the huge plastic cake box that sits on the cooker top, full of the pharmacy.
Tea and biscuits to help the pills go down (any excuse). I will see if there is a Birthday Cake
Take care one and all. XXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -

I love my cake!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you all so much

Toni xxx0 -
Kath, you've got me wondering what my voting card is for. Think I'd better have a look. Hope Emily likes her new bedding.
Aiden, that was very good of you to share your dog biscuits. There is only one candidate for police commissioner who has put leaflets out and who I've seen doing interviews. No idea who else is standing.
Barbara, hope you did what you were told and came downstairs properly.
Toni, I'm so glad you've been able to relax and enjoyed your birthday.
I'm off to stand in the naughty corner. After my son and his wife and the little one left, the sun was out so I went in to the garden and dug up a small tree and potted it up as it wasn't doing well in the ground. It came out very easily. Then I made a start at building a wall round a raised bed which I made from an old bookcase which is well disintegrated now. Only laid 6 bricks so didn't overdo it. Can I come out of the naughty corner now as I haven't made my back worse. :sland-shark:
Would you believe it. My youngest GD, who is only 3 and been in nursery for 3 weeks, has had quite a lot of homework. She had to take photos of things she did during the Easter holidays (she was actually given this to do on her induction day), sort small, medium and large things in order and write down what they were (although mum had to do that for her) and a few other things. She has even had her first school report. It was very interesting with photos of her doing activities and it said how good she was at each thing. I had to laugh. It said she was good at tea making and drinking.Christine0 -
Evening to one and all, hoping that everyone is as good as can be, after quite a sunny day.
SO glad you like the cake Toni, it is impossible to eat too much cake, trust me Hope you had a lovely Birthday and relaxed too. :deckchair:
If I have to go down steps I always go backwards as I feel safer and it makes it slightly less painful. hope you managed a safe descent Barbara, as instructed. Bless.
Don't worry about the naughty corner Christine, we would all be in there, most of the time, for doing things that don't always seem too bad when you are busy. I guess it is called determination, not exactly what OH says, ie "what ARE you doing", ask in future. I am sure your time in the garden was well spent and hopefully there will be no ouches.
Homework, from nursery  It sounded good fun though and you are never too young to start making and drinking T, well done that young lady.
All quiet round here, most of the neighbours are out, we don't do going out at night, very much home birds.
Daytime, lunches, coffee, count me in. Everyone take care and rest as well. Medicine trolley is all stocked up
XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Shut the trolley Aidan!!
Someone's been in it again
Wasn't me I had plenty of win last night and a little of the old cooking sherry
Someone's asleep in the grate again....thinking maybe it's our skezier
As far as having too much cake is concerned I 100% agree with you - you can never have too much especially as it's low-fat
Christine - my goodness! It's no wonder nurseries charge so much if they are doing that much with the wee-uns! Wow! At 3!!!
Mind you if it brings them along?
You may come out of the naughty-corner if your back is still ok this morning??
As Aidan says we all do it so you are forgiven. Actually you deserve a pat on the back for recycling the bookcase - good on you Long term a raised bed will HELP your back too
Right a quick hoover round I think
and I'll just do these dishes

Joan, sorry for confusing you. I meant the online store Am**on. I think the one you mentioned only sell clothes.
Aiden, Once I could only get upstairs by dragging myself up on my elbows, and back down by shuffling down on my bottom. Forgot to mention that as a toddler, I used to get down on the floor next to our cat and try to lap his milk. Couldn't understand why it went all down my chin and onto the floor, but the cat managed to keep everywhere clean.
Christine, BUILD A WALL????? Just thinking about it hurts my back.
A strange thing happened last night. I actually got some good sleep. Hope it happens again tonight. :?"Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." Robert A Heinlein

She did after all sleep last night!!

Good to hear the hip is doing well - how about your back now you don't need to lie on it?
Joan thank you it's been a lovely weekend so far and Ron (Rondetto) reckons a mini-heatwave is on the way for later this week
Kath!! How sweet you wanting to be a pusskin when you were little!! The lap with the back of their tongues don't they?
I bet your Mum was horrified!!
Hoping everyone else is well

Thank you everyone for letting me out of the naughty corner. No harm done. :bouncing-ball:
Aiden, I thought that about the tea making. It's the first thing us British should learn. I don't do nights out either. Even came home from my sister's New Year's Eve party at 10pm and went straight to bed. Hmmm, medicine trolley. Let's see now. What can I have?
Toni, good for you having the wine. You deserve it. Hope you don't have a hangover though. I upended the bookcase a few years ago but it is disintegrating so I decided to use a pile of old bricks I have to build a wall round it before the soil collapses. Checked the pond today and the frog spawn has big black dots in it with little tails. One of them was wiggling so don't think it'll be long before they hatch.
Joan, yes tea making and drinking is a good thing. Hope you are having a good weekend.
Barbara, I would do your borders if I could. I don't dig my own over, only dig a hole to put plants in. Mind you, my soil is thick heavy clay so difficult to dig. I can just picture cats all over your house. They obviously like it there. Hope you are getting on ok with your new hip.
Kath, when I say build a wall, I'm only putting bricks round an old bookcase I put down as a raised bed but it's disintegrating. I'm not cementing them, just piling them up really. Glad you got a good night's sleep. Hope you get another one tonight.
Managed to sort out a drawer of tops in my bedroom. Decided to take the vest t-shirts and a couple of other tiny looking t-shirts to the charity shop. Don't think they'll ever fit me again. In fact, I've now got a porch full of odds and ends to go so I'll give them a ring in the next week to come and collect it all. Looking forward to another day off tomorrow.Christine0 -
Evening all, hope everyone is ok..........
I thought that the drug trolley was a wee bit vulnerable, having left it unlocked, so............
I thought we would be better with a full time pharmacist, very nice lady, works late shifts. Save us all getting mixed up with the pills and potions.
Glad you enjoyed your Birthday wine and a wee drop of Sherry Tomi.
Happy too that your building works did not cause any upset Christine. The wood will feed the insects too.
I am so glad that we helped our animals with their food Kath, there was me, thinking I was alone, eating a bone. My Cousin comes down stairs on her bottom, when the stair lift broke.
Excellent that you had a good sleep, pop into the pharmacy if you need, there is quite a choice.
Joan, hope you are ok and have had a good week end.
We had a lovely lunch out, super busy, the world and his wife where out, so we had to wait a while for a table. Not too long and it was worth it, as always.
Enjoy the Bank Holiday, we will be staying at home, so I can potter about.
Take care
