    Mig!!!!!!!!!

    Are you ok?
Are you sure it was one of us even? Unusual occurrences do happen in the cupboard remember....

Aidan I love the dispensary!! It looks fabulous :) Anything we want. I have a feeling 'someone' helped themselves to the pretty ones and that's what helped them sleep ;)

Sounds like a lovely meal out yesterday so maybe quieter day today is in order.

Keep on pottering - much better than getting stuck :)

Christine I am very glad no harm was done by your endeavours in the garden. I hope the bricks protect the bookcase. Lucy and I 'made' a 'path' around our raised bed with flat stones once years ago :)

Aha frogs will be a-hatching very soon :) You may need to get your camera out!

Tiny tops in the drawer? Not your fault they no longer fit - they will have shrunk. Definitely!

Overcast here today. I am picking Lucy up from a friend's later on maybe do a Sunday-type dinner. Not sure as Paul is going to watch car-racing and to take Tia home too.

    Love

Mig, what is growing in the under stairs cupboard

    a015.gif

    do we need bleach

Glad everyone likes the new pharmacy, yes, we could stock it ourselves Barbara and make a profit. I dread putting my repeats away in the cupboard, bag after bag. Hope you have a good visit from family.

A steady day today, pottering, a little ironing, cats all asleep, raining, still..........not sure if we are having a heatwave, I can do without one to be honest, anything over 19 degrees and I melt. Dr said my own thermostat is not functioning as it was :?

Off to town tomorrow, no doubt lunch in Ner** and a large coffee fix. Well, it helps with the absorption of pain relief, so that's my reasoning. :D

Enjoy the Bank Holiday everyone and take care XXXX Aidan

Oh dear, I've been rumbled. Those pretty pink and white ones did help, especially after taking double.
Aiden, you will have to issue us with a card each so we can log in and out of the pharmacy and make it easier to keep tabs on who has which meds.

I dropped to sleep in my armchair this morning and woke on my right side, thus squashing me poor old sciatic nerve. OUCH! :o

Barbara, Smut was a very accommodating cat. He used to let me brush his fur and put ribbons on it, then put him in my doll's pram and cover him over. I would often find him asleep at the side of my head in bed. His purring woke me up.

Ordered Emily's candy striped bedding. I sent her photos and she loves them. They should arrive any time between May 4th-6th. If you'd like a peek you will find them here:

Aiden, thank goodness we have a pharmacist now. By the time I worked my way from one end to the other trying to find something, I'd have forgotten what I was looking for. Glad you enjoyed your lunch out. I have my house thermostat at 15. Any more and I get too hot but I can cope with a few more degrees outside.

Mig, hope you are ok and weren't overcome by fumes.

Toni, I'd like a curved path in the garden. Maybe you could help me with that. Will keep checking for little froggies and keep my camera handy. The tops definitely shrunk while they were in the drawer. Hope the rest don't.

Joan, I've just heard too that the weather should get better as the week goes on. Fingers crossed.

Barbara, so you're still not comfy in bed. How long till you can sleep on your other side? Hope you enjoyed having your GD round, especially with not seeing her much. You usually think cats don't like water so it's strange that one likes a bath.

Kath, so it was you who took all the pretty pills. Hope you've got some left for your sciatica. I'll have a look at your link after I post in case I delete this. The spicy seafood stew sounds delicious and it'll have to be a little of every pud as I can't decide on just one.

So which dipstick organised to do 2 hours work this afternoon? My boss's mum asked me to change days from last Friday to one day this week so I said today at 1pm, totally forgetting it was a bank holiday. At least she gave me a lift home.

No, I promise, no bleach - there is something brewing for Halloween if I am not mistaken, a small libation. Mind you, it does whiff, must be the "natural" gases

Glad you have your feet up now Barbara, hope all is ok with your 6 month check up. 2 hot corss buns, I would be ill, of all the cakes in all the world, I cannot abide them.

Yes, it is true that caffeine blocks pain receptors, it is added to quite a few pain killers. Worth googling and having a read. Some of the articles are a bit far fetched I think, but it does seem to work. I was not readily aware that it is also a vaso constrictor, which is not really good with my heart condition, but, I will try not to worry about that too much  I will do my own research and see if cake and coffee are even more beneficial.

Kath the menu is a delight, I will start with the raspberry bakewell and work my way up :)

Glad the pharmacist is of good use. Looking forward to seeing some little frogs. We have little orange ones, tiny they are, living in the garden, there is no pond and we are a way off the streams, they must live in the damp areas, around the base of the LPG tank seems a favourite place.

Well, supper is on, so I will potter around with some cutlery. Not sure if the heating should be on or not............it's that funny time of year, cold hot, cold hot.

    Take care all, XXX Aidan

Am about to hit the pharmacy....I need some painkillers and Lucy needs something for her belly which is a bit dicky.

Aidan that info about caffeine is very interesting! My own Mum used to swear that her first coffees of the day helped her pain!

I heard the weather will be about 20 hope not too hot for you? Heating OFF here for us lot :)

Christine the tops definitely shrank yes definitely!! I hope the froggies come soon :)

I can't wait to see photos. I took one of an amazing rainbow here an hour or so back.

I wonder whether we have any tablets to help with memory in the trolley??

We can help with the path yes :)

Is it 6 weeks already Barbara?! wow! I will be in your pocket :)

Daisycat gets in the bath when it's empty and drinks water from the tooth mug so we have to use another put in the cupboard!!!

Cats are great I wish I had seen Kath with hers in the pram!!!

Kath please may I have Mexican salad and two puds? bread pudding then brandy pud too? Thank you and thank you Emily :)

I would love to see the bedding if you succeed with the link.

Mig I think the potion is safe enough. The spiders are protecting it or were, but they're cross now that their webs have been disturbed.

Right bed for me with my stash from the trolley ;)

Yes, we have pills for dicky tummies Toni and many many potions for pain. I will have to read more about caffeine and pain relief, but the consensus of opinion seems to agree that it help without a doubt. Tablets to help with memory, well, yes, there are those too.

Clothes do shrink in wardrobes, it's a fact.

    Spiders under the stairs a015.gif

In that case I will not be opening the doors, even less so knowing that they are upset. I loathe them with a passion. Never used to until I had one put down my back at school, I was beside myself and since then I am a big screaming ninny when we get one in the house.

We did find our siamese sat in the sink when it was full of water, she was quite happy, just sitting.........crazy cat.

Right, I am chilly, so the heating is going on a while, before bed. Everyone take lots of care XXX N Night. Bubbles, ooops, Aidan.

Toni sorry I missed your AC Birthday but did manage to catch you on fb. Hope you had a super day.
Its only 3 and a half days this week for Daughter's school so I hoped she would manage that but I've had plenty of 'sad' texts. I just want her to give it a go. I went to a coffee morning at the respite centre so had a chance to chat with staff. All is well.

Finally got Jacks university choices completed. That has been worrying me and hanging over my head.

So now having a day of well earned relaxation.

Tomorrow looks like it is going to be a lovely Summers day so I might even take a book to read in the garden and get some much needed vitamin D.

    Take care all

Aiden, I can't drink hot coffee. Makes me feel bloated and a bit sick. I have it made with cold milk and ice cubes then it's fine. No idea why. You have orange frogs? Wow I haven't seen any other than the common frog. Mine used to live in the greenhouse and I've sometimes found one under a log pile. I think I'll have some memory pills. Are they the pink and purple stripey ones with blue dots?

Toni, we have tadpoles. Went to check earlier and there were quite a few wriggling about round the pond. I think it's about 12 weeks now till they are officially frogs. My rainbow pics never do the colours justice. I don't mind spiders but will keep away if they are cross. My daughter has found a few dangerous spiders in their garden. Hope they aren't the ones in the cupboard here. Is Lucy feeling better now?

Joan, is your weather improving now? It was supposed to be warm and sunny here but the sun disappeared before lunchtime. At least it didn't rain.

Kath, those links work. The bedding is very cheerful and bright. I remember my mum bought sheets like that. I liked them. You've reminded me of when I was little at school. I used to have very long hair and my friends and I used to take turns brushing each others hair. I always used to say I'd do the brushing first so I could almost fall asleep when I got mine done.

Elizabeth, I hope your daughter settles down soon at school. You are right sending her to try it. The coffee morning was a good chance to find out how things are. You deserved the relaxing day after getting the uni choices sorted as well as everything else. Less to worry about now. Hope you do get in to the garden tomorrow.

Barbara, glad they found the staple and got it out. Isn't it annoying when it takes such a long time to get to the hospital and you're only with the doctor for a few minutes. I'm sure there won't be anything to worry about with your bloods. Hope you enjoyed your hot cross bun.

Just spent 2 hours writing a few paragraphs for one of the modules on my course. Had to put it down but I'll go back to it later. Checked the pond to find little tadpoles wriggling about. I took a picture but it's not very good. My son and his wife decided to trade in their car and buy a new one. They started the process on Saturday morning and have only just been allowed to pick the new one up this afternoon. Took all that time to do all the paperwork and waiting for faxes and emails to arrive. :?

I hope this works it was last night the sky went 'orange' and in was pouring down so I went to the window to see what was happening and saw the rainbow. It was a double really but couldn't capture that.

    Christine
I would love to see the tadpoles even if the photos aren't great. It's lovely seeing new life develop :)

We used to do each other's hair but my Mum said I couldn't join in incase I got head-lice!! You know I NEVER got them :)

    Kids did though - repeatedly!

I hope your son and his wife love their new car :)

Barbara I am sure the bloods are ok really they call you in for thyroid, cholesterol everything don't they? We'll be with you when you go.

Lucy took two of Aidan's tablets for the two-bob-bits and is right as rain today ;) thanks

Glad all is well with the hip and they got the stray staple

Elizabeth poor poor Lucy ((())) and poor you it's so upsetting being a Mum when they are hurting. Are you still thinking about home tutoring?

Glad you checked out respite is ok and well-done for getting university choices sorted for Jack :)

Sun was out here this afternoon - I hope you got your vitD top-up. Anyone know how long it 'lasts'?

Kath that's what Lucy was like always doing all our hair as soon as she could stand up! Actually sooner when she was a baby, and had none of her own, she used to pull mine over her face :)

Thanks I will definitely have both puds then :)

That bedding looks really pretty Emily will love it!

Hi Joan the tablets worked thanks. I hope all is well with you all?

Yes spiders Aidan harmless ones really, but still a bit scary. They protect the potion and their webs help it ferment.

Thanks the tablets worked a treat Lucy is fine and the painkillers too :)

Heating off here, but I think it may need to go back on later it is cooling down rapidly here :?

I think cats are actually great swimmers if they need to be. I wonder whether your Siamese was hot :?

Better get in the shower I think...time's getting on

Hi Barbara Kath Elizabeth Christine Toni Mig Joan - who did I miss
Well, after pouring with rain this morning, it is now lovely and sunny and I am getting quite warm......... :too-hot: Had to have the AC on in the car.

I did start writing this before 5 and now it is just after midnight - bit side tracked me thinks.

Glad you are having a bit of a rest Elizabeth, hugs that your Daughter settles, it must be very hard to receive messages like that. Enjoy the sunshine in the garden tomorrow :deckchair:

Kath, I love the bedding, thermal too, ideal for winter and no sheet shock. I seem to have flannel sheets most of the year. I do like those, bright and cheerful :)

Fancy there being a rogue staple in there Barbara, very naughty, there should have been a count on their discharge summary. Good that it is out. It does happen that they, or clips, etc, do get left and tissue grows over them, ending up with an infection.......
You will soon be able to get comfy on your side, as you say, it takes a while and will still feel odd as tissue and muscle repair. Try not to worry about your bloods, I know it is easier said than done - ((((((((())))))))

Those are the right pills Christine, lol. Anything with blue dots does wonders.
Good to hear that tadpoles are appearing. Soon there will be croaking a plenty. A coffee frappe, never tried iced coffee but it is quite popular on the menu at Ner**.
Dangerous spiders, oh no  I remember seeing plenty of black widow webs when I was in the US, when we were out in the sticks. I used to block up the bottom of the hotel room door and put the AC on so cold that it was way too cold for spiders and humans for that matter.

Toni the rainbow picture is lovely. I love rainbows, as did my late Mum. She said they were a sign from the Heavens.

Glad the pills worked and Lucy is feeling better too.

Cats are good swimmers, especially the Turkish Vann, they love water. Not sure about our Cookie, she is just daft as a brush, bless her.

Well, we had a nice sit down and plenty coffee (well I drank two very large americano's) OH had T, he can take it or leave coffee. Snack and a sticky toffee muffin which was, dare I say a little too sweet, even for me :o

Had a little shop in Mar**, with a very big bill, HOW MUCH, did we get a car full for that? No, we didn't. Sigh.

Popped into the menswear shop, got a pair of trousers, £40, nearly fainted, said I would try them on at home, I cannot cope with small changing rooms. Anyway, they are going back, I seem to have gained an ounce. Also got a pair of lovely brown suede shoes with velcro fastening, ideal. In sale for £10. :D

Off out for lunch with in laws today. It's one long circle of coffee's and lunches....maybe why the trousers didn't fit.....still, it gets me out of the house and keeps me moving.

Take care one and all. N Night XXXX Aidan

Thought you would like to see a photo of Smutty when I was about 12. So Smutty would be about 10. The blonde girl is my then best friend Diana. Haven't seen her for years.

    me%20Diana%20Wheeldon%20Smutty%201964_zpshwxlrdmf.jpg

If you can see, Smutty has a little black smut on his nose - hence his name. The outside toilet wasn't a very good place to pose, but the rabbit cage was a convenient (no pun intended) place to sit. The rabbit was called Goldie. He/she had a little gold patch on the back of the neck. Pity you can't see him/her - I never did find out which sex Goldie was.
