Because I've not been on my laptop for several days, there's a lot to do. 1001 updates which are all slowing me down. Check the bank, sort out next week's T**co order. Then there's my iPads, a week's worth of podcasts to nab. I can't miss Farming Today, Ramblings or iPM. A very sad one this week.

My pain is a bit like the curate's egg! Good in parts. I've had to increase my Oramorph. Full dose is 5ml 3 times a day. I've been struggling with one, so now I've upped it to two. Still eating paracetamol like sweeties (2 every 4 hours, day and night). My GP is ringing me on Monday because I've had to stop the Alandronic Acid. Hope she can get me an alternative that I can get on with.

The Cellulitis seems to have given up, perhaps it can't compete with the vasculitis.which is very active as is my RA and Sjogren's.

Anyway, enough of my witterings. I've been drooling over the photo of Castle Aiden. Absolutely gorgeous. Oh it's lovely to be back among REAL friends.FB doesn't compare. And yes, I think it is brightening up a bit. Ta ta for now.

Afternoon one and all - sunshine here, nice breeze

Yes Barbara, they are Ragdolls and live up to their name as in they go to mush when you pick them up, all soppy and floppy. Then they like to just fall over and have a roll around. (a bit like myself, although the rolling around is not as graceful ):lol: A family trifle is just fine, you are family and OH is family, sorted, no problems :D
Hope you had a good visit with family today, people deal with things in different ways, there are no hard and fast rules. My MIL has terminal cancer and she is just getting on with enjoying every day, loving going out and having coffee, cakes, lunches, days away, and why not eh.

Joan I hope you enjoy your trips to Nero's, ours often has a gathering of lovely doggies. Cake, well, first it was a mozzarela, basil and tomato panini, then a shared, yes, I know :o  :? I shared my scone with OH. Lathered in butter and clotted cream. Now my blood sugar is in my boots, I cannot win, I must eat more cake.

Kath I hope you manage to get things sorted, sounds like you are going to be busy for a while. Don't struggle with your pain relief, I was the same, trying not to take many Tramadol, but, if you are in pain, then needs be, to make things more tolerable. I always leave some in reserve, as in not quite the max daily dose, then there is something to fall back on. It's all a bit of a juggling act I am sure you will agree.
Glad the cellulitis has cleared up - hugs that things improve pain wise. I can sympathise with Sjogren's, my Optician said I have it, it is horrid and not helped by all the medications - rock and a hard place.

Toni, Mig, Elizabeth, hope things are as ok as can be, migraines are eased, buyers are pinned to the wall :D:D

Take lots of Care XXXX Aidan

it was beutiful out then we set off for home and the most horrendous storm..so floods again on the way home for BILs..we never had regular floods seems to be down to the drains not coping..
Aiden how lovely the rag dolls sound ..thats is what we want from a cat all cuddly..the ones we have had in the past were rescued ones and we were lucky with them.. :) then we recused a dog that went missing..he was chipped , but we have never heard anything of him since... he was very happy hear..so we think someone took him form the field at the back of the house..OHs BIl has secondary in the bones..but there is no stopping him doing what he wants bless him
Kath hope you have now cached up..what would we do without the net..permanently I mean..I hope the Oramorph helps its awful when you cant at least take the edge off the pain..please be careful with paracetamol..they have adjusted the amount you can take...and its builds up in your system..listen me being mum...
only had porridge today so better look for something to eat..xxxxx

Aiden, my daughter's husband works in an office quite high up and uses an outside lift to get there. They were going to take me up to show me the views while I was staying with them but I forgot to remind them. :bouncing-ball: Sounds as if your drier is scared that you're getting rid of it now. It sounds all very relaxed at your house with everyone sleeping and taking baths. I like your idea about Barbara's family trifle. I usually eat one by myself so am I my own family? Your MIL is absolutely right in enjoying life. As you say, why not?

Joan, it's good that Nero's allow you to take the dogs in. I'm sure they are no trouble at all. It is annoying when a post goes missing. Hope it's not long till you get your appointment.

Barbara, those winnebagos are huge, aren't they? I wish I could fly. It would make getting around easier. :splash: Hope you find your OH's BIL is feeling a bit better.

Kath, we do rely so much on the internet now, don't we? When I needed that much paracetamol, it was suggested I alternate with ibuprofen as you should only take 8 paras a day. Could you do that? You must still be in a lot of pain but you sounds quite happy. Hope you are. And I agree with Barbara. Chat to us as much as you need to.

What a carry on trying to get to work today. One side of the road had cars parked on the pavement, despite all the drives being empty, and they had blocked the pavement on the other side while they sorted out a long stretch of electric cables. At least I've been able to hear people talking to me today. I bought some lilies and carnations 9 days ago from T*sco. They had been reduced as the date was up and they still look lovely.

Barbara, it's my pet hate too. I'll get in to trouble one of these days because I take pictures of cars parked on the pavements then email them to the council through a site on the internet. They then post them on FB. I was chatting to one woman last week and she told me a policeman had knocked on her door and told her she had been reported and she wasn't to park her car on the pavement. I acted surprised. Don't worry if you don't get in here. Just have a wonderful time. Oh and bring us some all rock back. :hammock:

Joan, I once went to the first floor of the Eiffel Tower. Thank goodness we weren't allowed to go any further up. I stayed next to the wall. Didn't dare to to the window.

Toni, yaaaay. Great news. I'm guessing your buyers gave in in the end. I'll get my sleeves rolled up and I'll bring my trolley that I use for my shopping.

Aiden, you have been busy with those posters. There will be plenty of help on Tuesday. Don't forget to bring the scones and cakes. I'll bring flasks of tea and coffee.

I was watching a gardening programme the other day. They were talking about how to grow cucumbers and there was something I'd been doing wrong. Never managed to grow one before. Today I bought a mini cucumber plant from Ald* and now I can't remember what I keep doing wrong. :?

Christine, those flowers are beautiful, well done for spotting them. They are obviously very happy where they are :D Sounds like a lot of noise and chaos in your street. How annoying having all the cars parked on the pavement. I am sure it is an offence, if you block access to pedestrians ie disabled, or pushchairs.

We would all be at a loss without the internet. But, we managed quite well, when you look back and Z cars in black and white was a highlight !!How times have moved on, technology is almost getting ahead of itself now. No sooner have you bought the latest smartphone (as I often do - oops), then they bring out a new one that is even better.............

Let's hope the cucumber grows, lots of tomato food, I think. Don't you have to tickle the flower with a little brush.....

You did well going up the Eifel Tower, even part way up. Many moons ago when I wasn't a big nelly, I spent quite a long time in New York, after leaving School. I was up the Empire State building so many times, loved it, went up the Twin Towers, right to the roof, was amazing, climbing up the Statue of Liberty when it was 115 F.
No idea what happened to me, looking out of our front window (our house is built up at the front) makes me dizzy.

Kath I hope you are in less pain and managing to alternate with the medications. It is a terrible struggle sometimes and really gets us all down at times. Sending hugs and the Pharmacy will be open all night.

Barbara, hope you are having a wonderful time in Wales. We have some friends who live in Llandudno. They love it there. Enjoy the break. We might just get the bus, but Toni is moving on Tuesday so it is all hands on deck.

You can have some sunshine with pleasure, having said that, it has been cloudy all day, typical. Mind, I am not complaining, it is far more pleasant, so much so we had a curry tonight and I have not even started to glow.
Hope you have a good week end.

Toni, I am sure you are in a frenzy of boxes and wrapping. Take it steady, no hurting shoulders, listen to Matron.... 8) We are all as bad, or good, as each other, pushing ourselves just that bit too far.
I hope things go as smoothly as possible, it is about time things were going forward. The bus is all organised, scones, T, Coffee, lots of strong men to move boxes :?

Right, I had better feed our pus cat, who has decided he loves the new batch of pouches from the vets. As long as he is eating, that is good. Oh he is howling now.

Time to potter, take care, lots of it. Hi to everyone who are not about at the moment. XXX Aidan

No worries and yes, I am sure Mig will pop along, just in case any of the fire crew strain a muscle while lifting. p007.gif Matron will delegate a suitable gel to be applied. :o:lol::lol::lol:

We can have a picnic in your new back garden, that will be nice, after all the moving and doing. Joan, your doggies can have a run round, as Daisy cat will be having butter on her paws before venturing out.

Aiden, you are right. It is an offence to block the pavement. I've noticed I'm not the only one reporting them now. A lot of cucumbers are now self-fertilising. I found what it was I've been doing wrong. They don't like being watered from the top and the stems rot. The gardener I was watching planted a plant pot alongside her cucumbers and put the water in there. I'll try that this year. How strange heights didn't used to bother you and now they do. I'm sure Mig will look after the gel for the sore muscles. Think she'll be wanting a very large pot.

Joan, I may not have done great things but I have had some good times as I'm sure we all have. Hope the weekend is going well for you.

Toni, you must be worn out and still a couple of days to go. Mind you the adrenalin will be keeping you going. Take care though and try (I know. Very difficult) not to over do it. Once you're in your new house, you can take it easy and unpack slowly.

Today, I got a tree transplanted from a small pot to a bigger pot, a tiny bit of weeding and planted a couple of hanging baskets and pots. That was after spending the first part of the morning watching the Soyuz land with Tim Peake and the others and the second part of the morning chatting to my daughter and my grandkids. My 5 year old GS goes to Aussie football training on Saturday mornings. Today he got an award for being the best footballer for this week. He was very proud of himself. My daughter said when his name was called out twice, he just sat looking round waiting for someone to get up. Took him a while to realise it was him.

Sounds like a plan Toni, I can imagine you are in a state of collapse.

Christine, we have frogs, how wonderful, he looks so cute.
    r015.gif

So pleased they are doing well. Tiny little mites. Bless. I am forever reporting the roads etc to the Council. In fact, the road up to where we live, was in such a terrible condition, that I kept on and on and on.............finally, they said they would resurface it completely - result.
They must dread getting reports in from me, every pothole, road surface, etc..........well, if you don't say anything, nothing gets done. I even get my MP on board if needs be. I did with regard to faster broadband and lo and behold, we have it. People come to me and say "will you get on to the Council about whatever" lol.
Your GS must be very proud as you are too.
I am glad they arrived back from space ok. The ride of a lifetime !! so they said. Not half.

Is it me or is it warm again. Probably me  Oh has been busy away in the garden, well, the neighbours garden, a lovely couple, long into retirement - they were chopping a prickly bush and he went over to lop it down to half its size. Good deed for the day. 8)

    20160618_210743-01_zpsq3nkx0ov.jpeg

Took this, this evening, it is on the decking outside the back door. There are about 25 more buds waiting to open. The neighbours that moved, let us have anything from their garden - the roses had not had any attention save a bit of water, but they are coming into their own now. Lots of TLC.

Better see if Niece is on FB, not spoken for a while. Busy working and time slips away.

Everyone take lots of care, hugs to all. XX Aidan

    Good morning Everyone :)

Day 2 of the manic move is here :(

All pain meds taken (or slapped on ;) ).

Christine the froglet is so sweet!!! I love him!!! Thank you so much for posting his photo.

    t157016.gif

Christine I think you're right about your cucumbers - beware though min have been eaten overnight in the past by slugs/snails :(

Successful years have seen me palming them off on any neighbour who will have them!!!

Nothing growing this year though :(

Have you seen the newer grow-boxes that you put your grow bag in?? I have two you pour water in and they are watered from below. Even in dry summers you can put enough in for a few days if you are likely to be away.

Can't remember who makes them though....

BIG congrates to your GS :) Bless him :)

    Aidan
that rose looks lovely :) Really pretty. I have one or two things to dig up thanks for the reminder!

One is the rose Charley planted and the second is.....my 4 leaved clover patch! Yes I have one so it will have to come with me. Not leaving good luck for nasty people. :(

I think it's warm again, but I have been overdoing it so who knows - muggy even??

Your OH is a good good person doing that for your neighbours - they will get much more light now I bet they are pleased :)

Go you campaigning for decent roads and paths that are free of obstruction!! I am right behind you.

A very hasty pothole coming off one of our roundabouts has been filled in last week. I am really pleased about that it always caught me out. Boing!! and woke Lucy up hahaha!!

    Love to everyone

Sitting biting my fingernails, which makes typing a bit difficult. Waiting on an Am**on delivery. Some garden ornaments for my neighbour, who gave us her parasol.

Beautiful Rose Aiden. As Elvis Costello sang "It's been a good year for the Roses". It's also been a good year for the green/blackfly too. OH is always out with the bug spray.

I'm loving all the froggy photos and smilies. I wish I could find some. We used to get quite a few frogs and toads in our garden. Don't know where they've all gone :!:

Hope the move is going smoothly Toni. This is my contribution.

My back pain has moved to the other side. :x

Just another manic Monday - coming up. Oh dear, keep up with the pain meds, oral and slapped. I will bring a mobile pharmacy with us for the move.
You do right Toni, not leaving things for those horrid people, four leafed clovers, we all need some of them.
The little froggy is totally cute. I want one. We haven't seen any lurking under logs or stones, as we usually do, they are only teeny weeny. Unless Mrs Hedgehog eats them :?

We will have to set up cucumber watch, my, we are in for a busy time, moving, going to Scotland, watching frogs, keeping pests away from cucumbers..........

Glad I am not the only one who is warm. Just started to rain here, for the rest of the day I think now.

OH is v good at helping out with neighbours, I am good with T and sympathy and encouragement :D

Joan I hope you have had a good week end and that the doggies are ok.

Kath, did the parcel arrive safely from Amaz**. Greenfly we have had a plenty, but the wasps have eaten a lot of them, they love them. One good thing they do at least. Burgers and other BBQ foodies will be fine Kath, the more the merrier.

Took this at In Laws this morning. We live just through the other side of the woods. We went out for lunch at the garden centre, which was v nice, for Fathers Day. It wasn't as busy as we thought it might be which meant there were scones left for desert. We bought a black eyed susan and a pulmonaria, which are now suitably sited in the garden.

Washer has finished, so I will go potter in the kitchen and argue with the dryer. Still no word on an exchange yet. Now the boiler is loosing pressure............. B Gas coming out Tuesday morning. Everything it falling in bits.

Take care everyone, hug to those who are around and about.

Don't worry Toni, I popped some scones in. I forgot to mention your menu Kath, it is delicious and I am already half way through the deserts, barring the cinnamon and banana.

Soup and garlic bread from Mark's tonight, seeing as it is cooler. I bet I still end up in a lather.................

No tennis for a week........what will we do. Roll on Wimbledon.
