Oh dear, OH is NOT happy. He's been on his soapbox about BREXIT, and how it's the worst decision for the country! And what the heck has it got to do with Donald Trump !?!?!? He's been in a proper 'HARUMPH' mood :?

Apart from being warm, last night was better. So it should have been! I'm taking 1,000 mg of antibiotics every 4 hours, not to mention 50 mcg of Morphine and 3 x 1 ml Oramorph! No wonder I can't keep my eyes open.

I'm so happy Toni loves her new home. Daisycat will be very happy ther too. Just in time to have lovely summer evenings in the garden. Hope there are lots of frogies and toadies. Talking of which, where is dear Toady. Hope she is keeping well.

Next door has a man round, up a ladder, with a drill and a hammer! Wonder what that's about then?

Sending everyone hugs and more hugs.

:hammock: :deckchair:  it's very warm today.

Mig, sorry to hear you aren't very well at the moment. You'll have been to the respiratory clinic today. I hope they have been able to help you.

Toni, I'm so glad you love your new home. I hope you will be very happy there. Congratulations to Lucy. That's wonderful that she came second. Just shows how good she is. And Daisycat has come out to explore.

Barbara, how did your physio go? Hope it wasn't too painful. Hmmm, I wonder where the rest of the chocolate went. Wonder if Niamh knows.

Kath, I hope your OH calms down. Nothing we can do about it now. Are the meds helping with your pain? Not so good they are making you tired but maybe better than the pain. Are you like me? Need to know what's going on next door when they are banging about.

I was babysitting last night. My eldest GD was out with her friends for a while but my eldest GS and youngest GD were in the garden till 8pm. They were bouncing on the trampoline and asked me to sit on the edge. I did manage to clamber up then they pulled me on and started bouncing. I was shouting help and they were nearly crying with their laughing. Then the little one got all her little chairs in a line to make a train to go to the beach. Every time we set off, she thought of something else we needed to take - food, drinks, pots and pans, skateboard, lots of babies, a monkey called Tigger and a horse called Pooh Bear. At 8, I said it was bedtime so she asked each baby if it was tired and they all said they weren't. I managed to convince her to show me what she had to do when she gets ready for bed. :too-hot:

Oops, wrote this a couple of hours ago and couldn't have posted it.

A late evening to one and all.

SO glad you are in and happy Toni, bungalows are wonderful, could not live in a house (not without a lift). Many congratulations to Lucy on her fab achievement. Hugs to Daisycat, taking it all in, slowly.

Kath, Sorry to hear that your cellulitis has come back. The concoction of AB's should see it off and no wonder you are dozing off with all the pain relief as well. ((((((((((()))))))))
So your OH is in a huff about the brexit vote, well, the nation decided. I agree that Donald Trump can keep his opinions to himself, he is not President, yet :?
We did sit up for a while to see some results come in, thought it would be close. Another chapter of history begins.

We voted out too Barbara, it was down to the wire, I was still unsure even when we went to vote.
It was terribly warm yesterday (thursday), thank goodness today has cooled down, with thunder and pouring rain, wonderful......
Glad your family are ok and enjoyed their holiday. Chocolate everywhere, fabulous.
Hope tonight is cooler for you, I am looking forward to going to bed (strange but true). Even managed to sleep this afternoon at nap time.
Joan, you love tennis too, it is a fantastic game, we get very animated........Wimbledon starting Monday, cannot wait. Hope you have a good week end, not too much rain or thunderstorms.

oh yes, forgot, you will have to find out what the neighbours were doing, like Christine, we all like to know what is happening - it is important to be in the picture.

Steady away on the trampoline Christine, far better to be on the train, much safer. Glad you had a good time babysitting, if not a little tiring. Kids do seem to have SO much energy, or is it the fact that we run out of it so quickly.

We had our coffee and scones out this morning, which was lovely, did a little shop and that has been about it. Some days you don't want to do much at all. Pottering, just pottering.

Everyone take care - many hugs XXXX Aidan

Don't know where to start, so will number my replies:

1.- I had a good night last night. No pain. Foot was a bit sore and itchy, but put some antiseptic cream on it and went back to sleep with my foot hanging out of the bed. I LAY ON MY BACK FOR A FULL 20 MINUTES. :D Great stuff. Got up feeling less stiff and walking pretty well. How I wish that happened every morning.

    2. - After all the banging had finished, OH went out back on the pretext of checking the plants. My neighbour now has a Free-view aerial up. She already has VM and a satellite dish. Joan, you made me smile. No peep hole. She is a single woman and I honestly think she has x-ray vision to keep tabs on what we are doing. :o

    3. - Christine, after OH's grumble and rumble. He simply aid "Oh well, what's done is done". As long as he is proved right on a couple of points, he soon calms down. He said all along that DC would resign if we left.
    :sland-shark:

    4. - Aidan, Loved the cat telling everyone where to put the settee. Was that his lordship? Or perhaps it was Daisycat. .

Happy weekend everyone, especially Toni. xx

Hi Joan Toni, Kath Barbara Christine Elizabeth Mig and all................

After a pleasant day, nice breeze, not to warm, I am now in a lather - the humidity has gone up through the roof and after we decided to cook supper, that has just tipped me to melting. Been out onto back decking, not a breath of air. :too-hot:

Joan, oh yes, we have tried cheese scones, cherry ones, plain, sultana, every possible recipe :D I think my fav are the garden centre, home made every morning, arrive about 10 and we get there a little while after. Sometimes they are still warm..........oh bliss.

Hope you have had a good week end out and about with the doggies and your buggies.

Barbara, don't children come out with just the best comments. Elf and safety indeed. Maybe it was a good idea not to go on, we don't want you bouncing off in all directions. I remember going on the ones at school, with a harness round your waist. I hated it with a passion.
So looking forward to Wimbledon. Have enjoyed Nottingham and Eastbourne. Queens is a lovely venue as well. Then after Wimbledon we follow the tour on to the USA. Total tennis addicts.
Good that your hip is improving, but there always seems to be a trade off, like back pain increasing - grrrrr it gets you down sometimes. An extra tramadol tonight me thinks.
Did you manage to get your GD socks, will be great, off up to Scotland, so exciting. I can only think of the Isle of Aran - a fabulous place.

So glad you managed to get a good night rest Kath. I always have my legs out of bed, jumping about, restless leg syndrome, plus I snore like a warthog  :? - no wonder OH is in the guest room.

Glad you found out what was going on next door. They must have umpteen tv's. Mind, we have Sky dish and a big aerial. Our neighbours seem to know our every move, especially if they have taken in a parcel for us. He is there before we have pulled in to park the car, like how did you know, must have been peering out the window.
Other side we always leave our curtains open and our other neighbour does the same, so we can keep an eye out for each other. Not to be nosey, but it is nice to know someone is there, we wave n night sometimes. :)

Toni, hope you are taking a bit of time out to rest, I bet you have a shouting shoulder, take care, no rushing with boxes and unpacking. Hugs to all and purrs to Daisycat.

The new dryer arrives on Monday, hoorah, :splash: same model though, so watch this space. All we had to pay was delivery cost. They are coming between 7 and 9am.... :o Mind, we have the rest of the day to do what we want, without hanging about all day. I will have to set three alarms at least. Up at 630, that is silly o clock (even though the cats wake me up at that time nearly every day ).
I will apologise in advance to the neighbours, for a big lorry coming at that time of day.

    Hi to everyone else too.

Time to potter, I am setting like concrete. Everyone take care.

Joan..its certainly working..I asked about the back belt and she said know because of the stenosis it wouldn't help not to use the muscles..I hope you and Sue are having a good weekend..my youngest son was in a meeting in your town the other day...
Aiden you are suffering with this humidity...it is horrible the worse bit is when there is no sun with it.. last night was quite bad here I hope you got some sleep..I had to laugh at you getting there soon after the scones arrived..a new dryer to look forward to I hope it behaves for you..yes manged to get the sock and she has water proofs...they are camping but I noticed her putting the makeup in.. bless..really looking forward to Wimbledon I dont really watch the others..

Aiden, please don't use the DT words. They scare me.  I did feel much safer on the train. Still trying to work out how to transfer the energy from the GC to me. I'd be rich if I could work it out. For now, pottering is good. I like pottering. Sorry you are suffering so much with the humidity. Not much breeze here either. I can just picture you standing knocking at the garden centre door to get the scones. A new drier? Yaaay. I think I'd have to leave the door open for them at that time in the morning.

Joan, I've never been on a trampoline before. Doubt I ever will now apart from sitting on it.

Barbara, I remember you telling us about your neighbour's trampoline. Don't think my GC were bothered about elf and safety. Yes, it worked getting the little one to show me how she gets ready for bed. She got changed, went for a wee, tidied her teddies then jumped in to bed to snuggle with them. Only got up once a couple of minutes later for a wee but, strangely, she couldn't do one. I thought the same as you. The percentages were what I thought but I thought we would stay in the EU. Sounds as if your GD is ready for her trip. My daughter did the Duke of Edinburgh award. She went camping and it snowed heavily. All the parents thought they should have been brought home but there was a teacher keeping an eye on them from a distance and we decided they would be proud of themselves for sticking it out.

Kath, that's good you got a reasonable night's sleep and had less stiffness and pain. Yes, it would be great to feel that every day. Glad your OH calmed down. I didn't think DC could stay to see things through. Not if he didn't believe in it. His heart wouldn't be in it. Looks like lots more MPs are leaving or being pushed.

Joan, hope you're having a good weekend and it's not too hot for you.

Had a lovely few hours in the garden yesterday. Got one side weeded and tidied a bit, saw a few froglets sitting in the water and repotted a few plants which arrived the day before. My daughter has gone on holiday to a tiny island in the south Pacific. Ahhh, sounds lovely. Wish I was there.

Hope everyone who hasn't been in are doing ok, not in pain and enjoying the weekend.

Christine, glad you managed to get out in the garden for a bit of tidying up. OH did the same. He's mostly calmed down after Brexit, but each bit of news sets him off on one again. He's like a bottle of fizzy pop. Give him a quick shake, but he soon settles down.

Aidan, a new dryer, how exciting. I've packaged all my bed linen up and it's on its way over to you. I know you and OH won't mind. I'll put a batch of fresh scones in a separate bag, by way of a thank you.

Joan, lovely day here, hope you, Sue and the doggies are off out on a spree.

Afternoon one and all...........cooler, it is cooler, happy days.

Thank you Joan, you have a good day too, fusses to the doggies too.

It was horrid last night Barbara, I was melting. It wasn't really that hot, it was just the humidty. I think I need clary sage for my hot flushes. Glad it is cooler and rain is on the way soon. Forecast for a wet and cool ish week :)
The evil dryer, that is going tomorrow, is now working fine, you couldn't make it up. Anyway, I will not be sorry to see it go and I hope its replacement does what it is SUPPOSED TO DO, sorry, I didn't mean to shout.

Always best to pack your makeup, be prepared, no matter where or what lol. I am sure your GD will all have a great time in Bonnie Scotland.

We have a big car boot sale, well, two, near us, but I can never be up and ready to get there at the crack of dawn, to nab a bargain. Not a chance. Hope you managed the garden centre ok.

No I won't mention DT again Christine. That's a good idea to leave a note on the door, put new dryer here  Glad you enjoyed some time in the garden, froglets in view, that's very nice. I wish I could do more than just potter and not really do anything like weed or mow or the like. OH keeps it looking v nice for us. Bless. Good that your G children settled to sleep.

The island in the south Pacific sounds lovely, says me who cannot bear the heat. OK if there is a nice pool to dip in and out of.

Kath, those scones look mighty fine. I will do your drying in the new dryer, no problem, that's if it works as they should do and not have a mind of its own again. For those scones I would force myself to put the drying out on the airer.

Hi to Toni, hope you are ok and gently sorting out and enjoying your bungalow.........XX

I have given up looking at the news online, everyone is fighting in lumps, both Lab and Cons, the pound is up and down like a yo yo, all the young people want another vote, because the oldies have ruined their future - what, where did you get that idea from.
Europe want us out as fast as possible, France wants a referendum, Merkel is up in arms. The mayor of Calais wants to move the migrant camp over here, oh it is just all gone mad at the moment. Keep head down and carry on with pottering, things will work out ok.

Right, early nap today, as it will be early bed later, up at 0630, oh my days.........Bubbles will be grumpy.

Hi to everyone else. Take care XXXX Aidan

Christine how lovely your daughter holidaying in the South Pacific...hee we can dream...GC do play us up..I want a wee..then another one  bless..its seems there is rain forecast for the 5 days my GD is away..at least its not snow..what a blinking shame ..but young people take whatever comes and enjoy..glad you get the garden done..
Aiden I bet when the dryer comes..and it will ..the washer will be on overload...like kath I might send mine round.. yes a girl has to have makeup wherever she goes...forget I was young once.. :) now I am glad its cooler for you..still a little humid here and very black but not has bad..I am like you sick of all this EU now ..I make OH record the news programs then I dont have to listen to them...
Yes hope that Toni is settling in ok ..and unpacking slowly..has long as they are happy there... :D

Kath, what a good idea to send all our washing to Aiden to dry. It'll keep him busy. Those scones look delicious.

Aiden it was much cooler here too. Even had quite a breeze at one point. I want to sell some things at a car boot sale but there's no chance of me getting there till it's nearly over so I get a charity to come and pick them up. I'm fed up with all the bickering now too. Sounds like total chaos but I'm sure it'll sort out in the end. Hope you managed a nap ok. You never seem grumpy on here.

Barbara, I'm sure your GD will have a great time and she'll look her best even if it does rain. I like the idea of finding something to eat and getting someone else to cook it.

I've been quite lazy today. Watched quite a bit of tv but did manage to sow some seeds. They were some old ones I've been storing so not sure if they'll come to anything. Yesterday I had a lovely ornamental poppy with about 6 flowers on it. It was still there this morning but at lunch time, all the petals had fallen off. Shame they don't last long.

A sunny day here, with a really cold wind. We had a successful Ama*** delivery today and went out to shred the cardboard boxes for recycling, and it was
    f r e e z i n g. It was garden stuff.

Christine, I discovered that trick years ago. OH does all the cooking now. He doesn't bake though.

Joan, I am sleeping a bit better, but I'm also getting a nap in here and there. :D

Sending good wishes to all I haven't mentioned, and I hope Toni and famlily are settling in well. xx

Off to do some shopping..and will take the chariot with us..not sure if anyone is already doing this..but you know the sponges that are massage one on one side well they do them on a stick, I have one in the shower, then it came to me..I could use one to put moisturizer on my back and legs..its works brilliant..so give it a try..
