Joan, I've had a busy day today but it's now the weekend. Time for resting as there's not much going on this weekend. Hope you and Sue have a good weekend.

Barbara, I'm not holding my breath with the ironing. There are such a lot of things not getting done because of cutbacks. Hope your GD had a good time in Scotland. Wow, you are having a lot of rain. Hope it doesn't keep up.

Kath, wonder why you've got 2 appointments. Wonder if it's a mistake or a follow up appointment. I need to get up regularly to stretch my bottom too.

Toni, Daisycat is beautiful. Hope she soon gets used to going out. Are there 2 more greenhouses on the right of the one in the picture? Looks as if you've got water lilies and lots of them. Bet they look lovely when they flower. Love the bathroom, especially the bath. Think I'd spend hours in there. I had curry too. Hope you enjoyed yours.

Aiden, plenty of time to finish your post later. Hope you are still enjoying your drier.

Don't think I'll be doing much this weekend. Mostly pottering I think. I've got homework to do for my course but that shouldn't take too long. Hopefully, the weather won't be too bad so I can get in to the garden for a while. Hope everyone has some good weather and not too much pain.

    Morning Christine :)

Thank you yes the whole pond is full of water lilies and covered by metal railings I think!! Do I need to reduce the number of lilies? There are so many I have no idea whether there's anything else in there.....

It's just a square so wants prettying up?

Daisycat is at her flap....and she's ....halfway out......and.......back in

    Bless her!!

Yes 3 whole Greenhouses!! One large shed and two veggie patches with lovely soil in them :)

Pottering is exactly what the Dr ordered I think and what I must do. Except I think I might have to join the 'village tidy up' on Sunday morning. Tia is back from University so I think she will definitely join me.

Anyone know what I need to take? It looks a very tidy tiny village anyway.

    Love

My responses to Toni's photos. "Oooohh, wowowow, aaaahhhhh, fab, smashing. AAAAaaaahhhhhhh. Cooooo " I feel as though I've had a guided tour. :D I'm sure Daisycat will love that garden when she finally plucks up the courage to go out in it. Brave puss cat. n035.gif

Joan, I'm hoping my rheumy will start me on something for my Vasculitis, as well as my RA and Sjogrens. Leflunomide is good as a mono therapy, but it can't really cope with the vasculitis. I hope you are all having a good weekend.

Christine, I got a phone call from the rheumy clinic on Friday. Asking if I'd had a call about Monday. I told them yes, and two letters. She confirmed 4th July is the right appointment, but didn't know what the other was about. So I'm taking that one too, so she can explain - if she knows that is.

Aidan, your poor back. You're not getting carried away with your drop volleys are you? :o I can't get into the tennis this year. Daren't watch when Andy is playing, I think I put him off. :? But I have my Podcasts and Bible readings to keep me happy.

Right - I will try again, some 25 hours since I started to write this post...... .........Will tell when I have nattered to all.

Good to have you back aboard ship Toni - so to speak, well, after all the ups and downs of moving etc, it was more like a roller coaster. Brave puskins too. Was the Drs appointment ok with Lucy......Having seen the pictures now, it all looks very nice indeed, so much potting and pottering in the greenhouses, veggies, oh it will be wonderful. I love water lilies but I don't have a clue how many are good for a pond, I am sure someone will advise on that one. Good that it has a metal grid over it, saves accidents, especially from exploring puskins. You have a lovely potter this week end.
A tidy village, well, the people around here seem to be on rota's and tidy up around the little brook and beautiful gardens that are either side of it, ( I will find a picture ). Here I think it is a sturdy rubbish bag, secateurs, a brush, grabbers, anything that can be used to fuss. It will be a good way of saying hi to people and they will want to say hello too.

    village%20stream_zpskiqbk8wg.jpg

Joan, the scones where lovely, as always. It was packed at the garden centre on Friday - we almost had it to ourselves on Thursday (do we go too often, or can there never be too much coffee and scones)??? - . Thought it was a bit windy so put a cardigan on - nearly fainted I was so hot, after two large coffee's and a scone.

Hope you have a good week end Joan, are you out and about with the doggies riding tandem? Not too much rain either.

I think it is the pregabalin too Barbara, but, it helps with the neuropathy and back pains, so it's always a trade off, good and bad. Mind, having looked at some of the side effects of the cardiac drugs, they can cause visual disturbances too. Hobson's Choice.
I can see the river flowing down your road, it has really been falling down over the past 24 hours. The water is very close to the house, worrying I am sure. It can do so much damage. Hopefully we will all get some calmer weather this coming week. It has been blowing quite a high wind here and intermittent downpours.
It was chilly this morning, so I put the heating on  :o :? Yes, I know, it is July. OH said, it's a bit chilly and the pus cats certainly thought it was. Anyway, I was melting within half an hour, windows open, sun blazing....... 8) Have a lovely time with the GC and the peace and quiet of bedtime, lol.

I do hope they can help with the Vasculitis Kath, it is not at all pleasant and can manifest in so many ways. I know we are all on pocket duties.
Two appointments are better than none, that's for sure, all will be revealed I guess. Maybe one hand not knowing what the other is doing.
Don't worry about my back, it shouts and shouts very loudly and I shout back at it with every pill in the book. But it won't beat me, I intend to potter for as long as I possibly can.
Watching tennis again, Andy is playing, so won't tell you the score, lol. Novak is not himself and looks pretty out of sorts to me (a nursing term that we used all the time). They look out of sorts and we all knew what each other meant.
Nice that you have your blog and your Bible readings.
My late Father was a Clergyman, I used to play the Church organ for a lot of services. Can you believe I failed my Religious Studies O Level, :o Dad and the grammar school were not best pleased and I had to re sit, then I got an A, which was far more acceptable.

Anyway, yesterday, phone rang, next door, had a long natter on the phone. Then nap, then long natter with Niece, then phone rang, next door, can we come round for a chat, things are not good between them, quick supper then lots of talking until gone midnight. By then I was chair shaped and barely able to move.

All quiet so far today, so catching up with washing and the dryer is being a little darling, drying things in a flash, perfectly, every time.

Had scones at home this morning, with clotted cream, in laws popped in on their way home from shopping. Have had indigestion since. Typical.

Right. I will post this before it vanishes and I would loose the will if it went missing, lol.

    Take care everyone, XXXX Aidan

    Hello Aidan :)

I thought joining the clean-up was a god way to meet people. So far I have only met the village busy-body and a chap who likes cars like Paul.

Tia came home from University on Friday and is very happy to come along.

We thought bun-bags....pick ups stick towel and will add secateurs to the list a pair each :)

Guess what? Daisy cat braved it!! She came out just with me while I had my coffee in the sun...and caught a wee mouse straight away  Luckily she did let it go.

I am very pleased to see the dryer is behaving, but not about the scone-induced indigestion!!

Did you manage to help the neighbours at all? I hope they are able to settle things down :(

Kath thank you we love it here!! It's lovely rain or shine. Problem will be mowing the grass. Paul has been to the local 'mower-place' and is now trying to decide between a ride on ( ) or a mow-bot which I favour!! Both are really pricey though.

I do hope that the rheumy has something t suggest for the vasculitis - it's vile for you :( We will all be there with you of course.

Hi Joan Thank you you are 100% right we now have the rest of our lies to get settled in :)

So far we have only seen Daisycat so hope she has the territory mostly to herself.

Barbara I took Lucy off to her friend's for a girls night in with films pizza dn a bottle of wine.

When I got back I had Tia and her bf Charley and her O/H :) It was just lovely like it used to be when they were at home :)

Laughing and eating pizza and remembering the old house.

Paul was watching car racing of course....

But it's always nice when you get the place back to yourselves when they've gone ;)

    Love

Hello Joan, thank you. Vasculitis is inflammation of the blood vessels. There are several types, all very rare, and most are quite dangerous. Trust me! :(

Aidan, what a beautiful peaceful picture. I can just see you relaxing with a plate of scones. :deckchair: Novak must have been out of sorts, I heard he got knocked out.

    See you all tomorrow. xxx

I thought there might be a village busy body Toni, but didn't like to say. Least said, soon as mended, they try and find out all your business - well, they don't get to know ours, which probably drives them mad. We are always polite and chat about general things, but anything else, nah, not a chance.
Paul will have a friend with the man who likes cars, now, if it were tennis......... 8)

Good that you had everyone around, chatting and making your new home, home. If you get my meaning. Nice when all is quiet again too. Hope Lucy enjoyed her night out.

Well done Daisycat, going through the cat flap and catching a mouse, clever girl indeed. Much praise.

A ride on mower, well, that's what I would choose, not that I could do the riding now. Went on a friends one in France and thought it was marvellous, had a wail of a time.

I hope we managed to help the neighbours, I suspect there is now a period of time out, away from each other, let the dust settle and have time to think. We need to open a clinic.

Oh the dryer is wonderful, 200% better than the other one, even though it is the same model. Working a treat, have a load to go in when I get up again for a potter.

It was the clotted cream that gave me indigestion, it could never be a scone, perish the thoughts.

Hope you are ok Kath, managing to ease the pains - it is a constant battle. Vasculitis is horrid, you are quite right, many forms, some very rare conditions. Let's hope they can help you as much as possible.

It is a lovely village, called Waddington, worth looking up on Google to get some more pictures. There is a little cafe, just opposite the gardens, but we have never been in, in over 7 years..........it is always full of cyclists and too much lycra is never a good thing lol...... :o

It has turned out to be a lovely day, nice breeze too. Pottering about and fussing with bits and bats, nothing taxing.

Out for lunch tomorrow, with in laws, over to our fav haunt where they have all those yummy cakes. We have booked the table next to the cake counter, just to make sure. I will have something light for lunch, then a very heavy cake, lol.

Hope everyone else is as good as can be. I will sort the washing and watch some more Tennis.

    Take care XXXXX Aidan

Well, that appointment was a waste of time! Need more blood tests to sort out which drugs are safe for me to have! There are many I can't have because I'm a cancer survivor! Feeling a bit mopey and miserable.

Aiden, I think it's a man thing wanting a ride on mower. Waddington sounds a lovely place. The cafe sounds a bit busy with all those cyclists. Great idea to have a light lunch so you've room for a heavy cake.

Toni, glad you enjoyed the clear up and met some people. We have a busy body across the road from me. At least I know that if someone suspicious is hanging around, she'll know about it. Hope Daisycat's appointment went well and she is ok. Great having the family round to 'christen' the new house.

Barbara, I hope Niamh enjoyed her race and you enjoyed watching her. £2 for Laura Ashley curtains? What a bargain.

Kath, sorry you need more blood tests. I hope it's not long before the results come through and they can sort something out for you. Some tasty meals as usual.

Joan, hope you and Sue and the doggies have a good week.

Spent the weekend pottering and feeling quite pleased as I've got some more empty spaces and another couple of sacks of bits and pieces for the charity shop. Did another lesson on my course tonight. Didn't sleep much last night so didn't take it in very well. They put a recording of it on the next day so I'll listen to it again later.

Morning everyone, I will read back a little...............

Kath, that's a real pain, appointments that don't really go anywhere, sorry to hear. Juggling medications that suit or don't suit, is quite a big problem, as you say, with previous illness / diagnosis. I do hope they can sort something once they get your bloods back. I will have a nosey at the menu and see what takes ones fancy.

Toni, so it's the robo mow  :o Is it safe........or do we need to hide behind trees.
Glad Daisycat is ok and has gained some weight. Bless, hugs for puskins. How's the big shower, it looks wonderful. It all looks wonderful. Good to have met some new people too.

Christine I hope the course studies went in on a second go. They say to play things while you are asleep and apparently you remember lots of it - I have never tried it mind, so I cannot give a guarantee lol. Good that you have been pottering about and sorting. We should open our own cafe charity shop.

Waddington is just a mile down the road Barbara, it is a lovely village, has won best kept village quite a few times.
Definitely hair, then physio. 8) Hope your GD gets better soon, glad Niamh finished the race, bless, especially after tripping over.
Don't ask where everything comes from, it just appears and then before you know it, another bag. Just kitchen rubbish, OH says I need a skip behind me, he is always off to the bins. Everything is in so much packaging these days.

Hope you have a good trip out with your doggies on board Joan. Yes, the dryer is being a little treasure, so far...............

We had a lovely lunch yesterday, In laws, treated us, which we were not expecting, we normally go halves. I had quite a bit for main course and could not eat desert. I know, strange but true. I was sorely tempted though by this cheesecake, homemade......

    20160704_115754_zpstpfue7tq.jpg

Then there was a wonderful Victoria sponge too.

Right. I had better move, IL's popping in for a cherry scone and a coffee, on their way home from shopping. Everyone take lots of care,, hi to everyone else too. XXXX Aidan
