phew! got my rituximab date-12th August. I told them straight if they spring any surprises on me (like anymore pre checks) I will walk out. So only 2 more weeks to keep going downhill then hopefully it will stop. Local hospital Barbara.

We also ordered the Ford B max today. So Aidan I will let you know if it triggers my PIP invite (to apply).

Dan has gone to respite. I quite fancy a Chinese meal (in bed while watching a film) but we've already had a roast today.

Christine the rocking chair is pine although they did have one upholstered like a chesterfield but boy was it expensive.I'm glad your family enjoyed their holiday in Spain. I never take a risk with the seating as Dan needs watching and Lucy gets frightened. I find it amazing and love flying especially take off and landing.

My pink roses are blooming beautifully. I feel the plants are finally getting established as even the honeysuckle is reaching for the skies. Only the jasmine seems to have disappeared.

I see you had the dreaded lost post Joan.

A spider down your back Aidan! I've had ice but never a spider. In fact spiders don't seem to like this house very much.

Okay better go-hope I've signed in now Joan has mentioned it!

Aiden, temperatures are better here now although I needed a jumper on at teatime. I'm coping ok with Windows 10. Hope the update doesn't cause any problems. I'm glad to hear the new drier is behaving. Spiders with boots on. I think if I'd had a spider down my back as a child, I would be scared of them too.

Toni, I'm sure you can get long gloves. If not, ask the farm vet where he gets his from. The revision class wasn't up to much. The tutor only gave a very brief outline of what each lesson was about. She only asked us 2 questions then said it was obvious we knew everything. Then she told us that they had decided to give us all a month's access to do the next level for free. And we can download all the handouts etc that only the people who signed up for life would get. :? My tv will turn itself off at bedtime or if I don't turn over after a period of time but it has never turned itself on. Glad you found out it wasn't a ghost. Can't blame Lucy, or you, for wallowing now and again but it always sounds as if you are both very positive.

Joan, how annoying for you to lose your post and more than once. Hope the temperatures are good for you just now.

Barbara, we had a bit of rain this morning but not a lot. Have you got ours? I did go in to work today. Got quite a bit done. Not a lot of mess left, just a couple of overflowing bins and a few things thrown towards the bin but missed. Ah, so that's why the queen lives in London. Wow, your little one is 4 next week. Where has the time gone? Poor Jake. I'm sure he'll soon feel better.

Elizabeth, at last you've got your appointment. Not long to go now. Hope you got some me time with Dan being at respite. Did you get a Chinese or would it be too much after a roast? I have a pine rocking chair which my parents gave me a long time ago. I've added a cushion.

I'm watching Hugh's War on Waste. A caulie farmer has just said he won't harvest 120 thousand caulies because they are ever so slightly yellow and not pure white because of the warm winter. How shocking is that.

    Morning Barbara :)

Are you telling me our 'baby' will soon be 4?!!

Big purrs and strokes to Jake-puss ((()))

No rain here yet today in fact a little sunshine. Cool breeze though which is what I want.

I bought some 'odd shaped' strawberries from Tesco the other week - lovely!! Who cares what shape or colour they are?? If they do they should pay MORE!!!

Our Asda is in trouble so they tell me due to the opening of an Aldi nearby.

Aidan take it steady. Tia once locked herself out of her phone and we could not sort it. In the end we had to ring the service provider who sorted it. can't remember how though :?

Shame about the telly not being ready. Hopefully today!!

Christine I was thinking you can get long gloves....I will go to the aquatic place for some. It gives you the heebie-jeebies down there in the murk

Sounds like the revision was really another chance to get you all signing up for everything???

I had an idea the lad would be tidy enough, but that he wouldn't have actually emptied bins/ cleaned the shower/loo/bath

It IS shocking the waste :( Poor farmer probably the time to harvest and package is prohibitive :(

    Hoorah for you Elizabeth!!!!

    e207.gif

    12th August is D-day finally :)

I hope Dan is ok in respite and you feel the benefit of it.

I would have fancied a Chinese too ;)

Lovely to hear how your garden has come along this year. Shame about the jasmine. I had to leave mine behind sadly, but there is honeysuckle here.

Joan Annoying loosing posts - you can't remember what you said can you  never mind I hope you are well.

Love to everyone who hasn't been in yet

Elizabeth, I am so sorry to hear how much you are suffering. I hope the Rituximab helps when you start it. I'm still waiting for my test results before I find out wether I can take it or not. I must admit, the thought of sitting for 6 hours for the infusion is a bit daunting. :swim-shark: the other drug she might start me on (for Osteoporosis) only takes about 20 minutes.

Toni, we have a Tesco across from Asda, but next to Aldi. Ridiculous!! Then round the corner we have Iceland across from Fulton's Food, & a Farm Food nearby. No wonder our market doesn't do well.

Oh 'Eck. My iPad is misbehaving so will just send everyone love best wishes.

Aiden, it does tire you out trying to sort technology out. Hope you're not too tired today.

Barbara, I did see the programme. It's terrible. The fruit and veg still taste the same no matter what shape they are. Not sure about the supermarkets. The biggish T*sco I go to seems the same but the small S*insb*rys in our High Street is always busy.

Toni, is your pond very deep? Don't go falling in, will you? I think you're right about the academy trying to get people to sign up. One of the tutors phoned me this afternoon 'to see how I was getting on'. No chance of the bins being emptied or bathrooms being cleaned. There were even dirty dishes in the dishwasher so it smelled a bit. Just as well I didn't decide not to go in at all. Goodness knows what they'd have found when they got home.

Joan, more rain? I guess the gardens are happy. We had a little rain this morning and it was cool then this afternoon, it suddenly went dry and very hot. Have a good weekend.

Kath, 6 hours for the Rituximab? I doubt very much I could sit half of that time. You've got quite a choice of supermarkets. A lot of competition for them all though. Hope your iPad has sorted itself out.

My boss's mum asked me the other day if I would go and clean her spare room as her granddaughter was coming to stay for a few days. When I got there today, she said all she wanted was for me to mop the kitchen and hall floors. She came to collect me from my boss's house. She showed me an envelope and asked where I had got it from. She said she'd found it on the floor next to the front door. :?

A late evening, or early morning, to one and all. I am sure all good folks will be in bed. We did have a night owls on the chit chat as I recall - many a moon ago.
Glad you have your appointment through Elizabeth, you must be relieved and anxious all at the same time.
Plus you have ordered your new car. In laws love theirs. We will have to compare PIP notes, as and when.............maybe least said, soon as mended eh.

Sounds like you had a job on when you got to work Christine - why do bins fill up so quickly? No sooner has OH popped down to the big bins nearby then the kitchen one fills up in like half the day - there are only two of us, plus 3 felines.

Barbara it has been lovely and pleasant during the day, but the past two nights I have been melting, again. We had quite a bit of rain today and last night.

Toni I am sure you could ask the vet for some very long gloves :o to reach into the depths of the pond. Rather you than me, I would have the colly wobbles.
Still no news on the tv, it still says in repair centre. Due back Monday :?

Joan, it is annoying when posts vanish, I always hold my breath when I click submit. Hope you are as ok as possible and getting out and about.

We can choose our new car now, we went to look at some today, so my back is screaming, in, out, in, out. One looked ok, managed to get in - with the seat back, no one would have been able to get in the back at all. Took me a while to get out and I felt a "ping" in my back, not good.
Anyway, we went next door, to another dealer, fell in love with one car, but they are bringing out a newer model later this year, so we might as well wait for that and order it in November. I am sure motability will let us keep ours for a couple of months over the three years. A couple more we want to look at, maybe Sunday, can take in Nero's and Mark's while we are over that way.

Right, I am fading, cannot sit any more, need to potter. I know I have missed replying properly to everyone, I do apologise.

Everyone take lots of care XXX N night all. Aidan

    Good Morning Joan :)

I hope you are well and have some sunshine like us for the dogs to run in :)

Hi Aidan - I was up later than you-ooo!! Ner, ner, ner, ner nerrr!!! 3.45am

Reluctantly! I was waiting for Lucy to come in from the night-club. She was ok though a bit tipsy - but guess what? She loves me

Ok Monday for your TV then - not too long hopefully just this weekend :)b035.gif

Going down into the murky depths gives me the collywobbles too.....Tia!!!

Testing car seats - bit ouch :( That's why I tend to stick to the same car/make if I can. I hope your back is easier today ((()))

Wait for the new model yes or you will regret it!!

I hope it was cooler in bed for you.

Christine your employers wouldn't have liked what they found would they? My kids put stuff in the dishwasher too - lazy things!

When will you do your exam then? Once that's done they ought to stop hassling you I think..

The pond isn't too deep, but going in there does pull on your back so best done by Tia. Her own fault for studying animal behaviour isn't it?

I should think I will have a usable pond by next summer :) Won't that be lovely?

The bosses Mum I am hearing her talking in my head!! Did you enjoy the change of seeing her and helping her instead?

What envelope??  bless her!!

Kath I very much hope your tests come back clear too and the rituximab helps you loads. 6 hours will fly by with other folks having it too or similar and hopefully you will have a TV to watch.

All your supermarkets so close together!! It is why our local shops and supermarkets are in trouble for sure. We have them all here except Lidl. You have to travel to Lichfield for that

Hope your ipad behaves today :)

Took Lucy to Drs yesterday to sort out her repeat. He suggested slow release morphine.....said we will consider it next time we go, (in a month), if needed. I am worried she has something up her sleeve for post-surgery you see...??

Imagine being on morphine regularly at 18.

    Take care all

Hello all. Not too bad a day here, not too warm. On the upstairs PCs today. years old - still windows XP, so on their way out. They gave us good service in the days when we were admin for our local history website. It's still online, but we don't do anything on it any more. Will replace them with brand spanking new laptops - or,and here's a revolutionary idea. Just get rid and turn it into a dressing room. But we have too many desks to get rid of too. :D

When we were kids, dad always rode motorbikes with a side car. The smell of the side car always made me feel sick. I've never been a good traveller. Once gran gave me a travel sickness pill with strict instructions NOT to chew it. Which I promptly did, and felt even more sick than usual. :o

I think that if I don't hear from rheumy next week, I will ring again.

    Take care all.

Good Morning Kath The online history website seeing less visitors is it? Shame that.

I think, for what it's worth, ditch the desks too and have your dressing room :)

All cars/vehicles stank when we were kids didn't they? I used to be sick going 100 yards. Parents smoked in those days and mine rarely opened windows. I can still do it now too  I have even made myself sick driving the windy roads in Wales!!

    Barbara I can't believe she will be 4 - that's how time flies! Whirling-dervish is she? :)

What to buy a 4 year old eh?....mmmmm.....dressing up clothes!!!???

Your Aldi must be doing well then. I wonder why no Lidl here? Just remembered Qwik Save!! I used to like them.

Once the pond is sorted I will sort out a nicer cover for it for when we get small visitors like Charley's OH's nephew who came yesterday. He is adorable, not quite 2 yet :)

I hope everyone is ok today.

Aiden, makes sense to wait for the newer version of the car. Are you off out to look at more today? Hope your back is up to it.

Joan, I do like to keep busy as much as I can although sometimes I don't want to do anything. Hope you are having a good weekend.

Toni, you must be shattered today. It's impossible to sleep when the kids are out. Aw, how sweet that Lucy loved you when she got home. I'm sure she always does. You be careful doing the pond. And Tia too. Can't wait to see photos of it when it's finished. I go to my boss's mum's most weeks. Not sure really why she wants me to go as there often is next to nothing to do. I did think she just wanted someone to talk to but she goes in to another room and leaves me to it although she does fuss over whether I need anything to eat or drink. I do think her mind isn't as sharp as it used to be. Hope Lucy's meds work out whatever way you decide to go with it.

Barbara, my boss's mum is lovely. She would do anything for anyone if she could. I do think her mind is going a bit now. She says some strange things sometimes. As I was telling Toni, she goes in to another room to do things and leaves me to it. We do have a bit of a chat, usually in the car for 10 minutes before we go in to the house. Our local pub shut a few years ago and has just reopened as a C*-op. A lot of us have said we won't use it as there is a little corner shop at the end of my road. The couple who run it do a lot for the community and we want to support them in return. I sometimes give my son money towards something for my GC but still get a little thing for them to unwrap.

Kath, a dressing room sounds like a good idea. You could try advertising the desks for sale or offer them on freecycle. I like learning the history of the town where I live. Wish I could go back in time to see it for myself. I remember, as a young child, riding in my dad's sidecar with my mum. When he got a car, that's when I started becoming ill as soon as we'd gone round the corner.

Guess what. I GOT MY DIPLOMA. And a merit. :bouncing-ball: Took me nearly 2 hours to do the exam. Couldn't believe how stressed I was. Only took me an hour but decided to go over it and changed a few things. I was convinced I'd fail. Toni, I don't think they'll leave me alone though. They've offered me another free month with the hope I will continue and then pay monthly. I could get the advanced diploma in that month but I'd maybe need more time for that one.

Afternoon all..dare I say its chilly here...
Kath..I had a ride in a sidecar when I was little it frightened the life out of me...  never again...but we had a laugh after..
Congratulation Christine h050.gifthat is brilliant and you worked so hard ...talking of pubs one old one nearby has turned into a shop..better than knocking them down when they are old...
Toni our quicksaves turned into little A*das....we have one Lidl* but I prefer Ald*...think we are getting the baby an extension to her train set..its the only thing she plays with.. :) think they are taking her horse ridding for her Birthday..
Joan hope you are having some warm sunshine a lot cooler here..
We went to the carboot this morning ..its not busy and plenty of room..got a nice wooden fruit bowl for a £1..and lots of fruit off a farmer..and homemade cake..he said his wife makes them to sell at fetes..so will slice it up and make a cuppa if anyone wants a piece

Afternoon, to one and all, a bright, breezy and COOLER day, hoorah.

So, you were up later than me eh Toni, I should have guessed that you would be waiting for Lucy, bless, 3.45, must have been a good night - oh, those where the days, out all night and then go straight to work................the thoughts, how did we do it.
Looking forward to the pond being full with a cover on it for sure, Daisycat proof and little people proof.

I love the smell of new cars, but I do remember the old cars, they had a funny smell. Never been one for travel sickness in cars. Oh, smoking with no windows open, I think even I could turn green at that one and we smoke.

Have you managed to think of a present for Niamh, 4 on the 4th, that has a nice ring to it. Cakes and Jelly all round, adults love jelly and cream (condensed milk as we used to have). You are certainly having a shuffle round with all the shops.
We have Aldi, Lidl, Sains, Tesco, Booth's, Co Op and we are only a small town. A bit like overkill really.

XP was a very good operating system wasn't it Kath, all the banks and B Soc used it and have not long replaced it with a new one. Oh, a dressing room, that sounds like a plan. Desks converted to accommodate bags and shoes. Toni agrees with me, so that is a majority, lol.

I don't think I would have liked a side car. just thinking how I would get in one now, lol. My friend had an old mini and it felt like you were an inch off the road, used to freak me out. Hope the Rheumy gets in touch very soon.

Someone got a diploma, well done you Christine. Over the moon for you, with merit as well. Way to go. Now, do you go for the advanced diploma, decisions. Glad you boss's mum is ok. Best that they let you get on with things, rather than natter all the time and the day vanishes. Days go fast enough..................Everyone has travel sickness, oh dear. Will have to remember when we get the bus out, to have an extra loo installed lol.
Mind you, put me on a boat and I am billious on a mill pond.

Joan I hope you have had a good week end. Love to Sue and doggies too.

The car that we did like, OH was not at all comfortable in the driving seat, the centre console was huge and there was no room for him to move his leg, plus the door was right up to his elbow. So, I have e mailed the garage and cancelled the test drive. No point me sitting there all comfy and OH feeling cooped up, that would not be right.

Yes, we have been to look at more cars. Over the For* garage where we have our current car from, had a good nosey round, the motability man was with other customers, he said hi, but was not able to go over anything with us today, so we will go back tomorrow. We, think, at present, we are narrowing things down to two, or maybe three cars. The deposits are a bit eye watering, so that has to be considered.
I burst out laughing in the showroom, OH went to sit in one of the smaller For**, he got in and went down with such a thud, the seats were so low. He struggled to get out, so that one is off the list,:lol:
The reception lady made us a cup of T, which was nice.
From there it was into Nero's, for brunch and scones, very quiet it was too. I went into the powder room, came out and everyone had gone, apart from OH, lol. Was it something I said :?
While we were in Skipton we went to Mark's, got a few things. Then enough for one day, time to head back for pain killers and feed the puskins.
TV is due back tomorrow - no idea if it is the same one or a new one, we will see. It says repaired and on its way.

Right, time to move, hands giving out. Everyone take care, hi to Mig, Elizabeth et al.

Thank you Barbara and Aiden. I've decided to try for the advanced diploma. If I finish in 30 days, it won't cost me anything. After that, it will be £29 a month so I'll see how it goes.

Barbara, feelings were mixed about the pub changing to a C*-op. A few years ago, the pub was very busy. Everyone went there to watch sport or play darts, dominoes etc and the local snooker teams played there and the fans gathered to go to the football matches. Then it was taken over, all the sports stuff went and they tried to have it mainly as a restaurant. That didn't work, it went downhill then closed. If they'd put it back to what it was, everyone would have used it again. You did well at the car boot sale. I'll have a slice of cake with my cuppa, thank you.

Aiden, we used to have evaporated milk on our jelly. Haven't had that for years. We only have S*insburys and the Co-op in our High Street but an Ald* about half a mile out of town and T*sco in the next town with a mini C*-op now 5 minutes away. You're right. No point if the driver is uncomfortable. Hope you find the right car. Bet you thought something had happened in N*ro's when you came out and found no-one there. Hope the tv behaves tomorrow.

Went up to the big park today with my son, oldest GS and youngest GD. Played in the play area on the slides for ages then went for a walk through the woods. Seemed a bit strange as the dog is usually with us. :( They told me all about there holiday and showed me the photos. Looks as if they had a good time.

    Well done Christine. a030.gif

Toni, I can just imagine Lucy "Mum, I luvs you" while planting a huge sloppy kiss on your cheek.

I've treated myself to a fold up exerciser mini cycle. It seems to work well and should help my sciatica and circulation. I can use it sitting in my armchair.

Kath, the exerciser looks good. Cycling comfortably in your home. Brilliant.

Barbara, I've done as I was told and had my head down. I've had a quick look at a few other things and managed to download them. Haven't actually read through them yet. Probably leave them till later. I keep thinking about getting a dog but don't think it would be fair as I'm not at home enough and I worry what I would do if I went to my daughter's for a month again. Sounds as if you and your niece enjoyed sorting out the world's problems.

Joan, I bet Barbara's neighbour's puppies are really cute. It's very tempting to get one when they are like that.

I managed to pull out a lot of ivy from the front garden today and I cut the grass front and back. Finished just as it started to rain. Not that there was much. Think Toni should share her mowbot.

An early morning, well, middle of the night hello to one and all. Hope everyone is resting or sleeping, not like me, the night owl.

I am glad you are going for the advanced diploma Christine. I am sure you will receive equally high merits.
I think a lot of pubs have tried to go on as just the restaurant business and come unstuck. I think stopping smoking in the bar was a huge turn off for so many people, historically it was always a ciggy and a pint. I know, it is bad for us and I would not smoke indoors now. But I do remember pubs were usually packed out, not that you could see through the fog
Sounds like you had a good time at the playground and going through the woods. Times like that when you miss a dear pet. Bless. Glad their holiday went well. Busy in the garden too, take it steady. Matron is watching.

I am sure the gentle mini cycle will be good. I know OH was thinking of getting one, to use while watching the tv. Keep us posted how you get on with it.

Barbara, I am all at sixes and seven's with the weather, Sunday was lovely, fresh and pleasant, Monday, it is all muggy and I am going through the change again with hot flushes.
It has been dry here, but in Skipton it was black as soot and it poured down. We are only 25 mins apart, but the weather is always different.
Oh cut the grass on Sunday, but I am sure robo mow would be welcomed, will have to share it around Toni. :) It is growing like crazy and the neighbours are still jealous as ours is so much greener than theirs, lol. Ha.
Oh baby daschunds, I bet they are totally adorable. If I saw them I would want one, well, all of them, lol.
Glad the world has been put to rights.

Joan I hope you had a good week end, out and about.

Toni, Mig Elizabeth and all, hope things are as ok as can be.

Well, we have chosen the car, the deposit is a big one (gulp), but, if it is the right car, then we don't mind. Oh took it out for a test drive and absolutely loved it. I was having a whale of a time with the sat nav and info screen, so I was happy. It was comfy for both of us, with room in the back for in laws. Boot not as big as we have now, but it will fit my buggy as needed. It has all leather seeks, oooooooooh, get us, lol. Heated too, NOT that I will be using them until the depths of winter. The AC works a treat. The dealership I have known for over 25 years, they really are a family concern and look after you so well.
    Very happy.
TV came back, apart from the back panel, the whole thing is brand new, new screen, new main motherboard, it would have cost a fortune to repair, hoorah that it was on a 5 year warranty. So glad to have it back.
Right, it is late and I my back is shouting very loudly, after all the in and out of cars. Must potter.
Everyone take lots of care, n night, XXXX Aidan
