It is cooler, yesterday was horrid and humid, AC did the job last evening. Lovely breeze today
I see the morning has already gone, so it is good afternoon to one and all.
Good idea to change your settings on FB Christine. I always try and keep up to date, as they are always moving the goal posts and seem to know more about you than you do yourself. Big Brother is watching. I have loads of people blocked, lol. Not friends, just time wasters and certainly no one can see my timeline info unless I accept them as friends.
Hope you had a good visit with your Cousin and Sister. Google Earth is amazing, that you can visit anywhere at the click of a mouse.
The WWW was 25 years old yesterday. I bet the man who came up with the idea had no clue as to its global impact.

Hope you are having a good week end Joan. Pity about the outside tap. I am sure there is an adaptor that fits any tap ever made. Worth looking on Google.

Barbara we will have to be called the coffee and cake team. I am such a coffee snob now, never used to drink it, but over the past years I am a complete addict. Only in the morning though, or I am dithering all afternoon. There are a lot of outside tables at ours, but I prefer not to share my coffee and scones with wasps, so the people that rush to get them when the sun shines, are more than welcome :)

Our car won't be ready till November, so that's ok, the time will fly by, as it does.

Glad you enjoyed the BBQ, in their 70's and still enjoying them, way to go. I am not a BBQ lover really. May years ago, a friend held a big BBQ and he hired a massive grill thing. It took ages to get going so he put a bottle of meths on it, of course it blew up in flames and I was stood near and was set on fire, shirt gone, no hair at front, no eyelashes, it was horrible. I was covered in big blisters. :o

I am sure you will be BBQ ing for a long long time Toni. Lol that the air was blue with the hammock chairs. It was blue here with a laptop that would not behave.

Oh, so the pond is becoming visible. Very good. Is it full of water now?
Good idea for robo to have names but in a hat. Lorna is a nice name though and very apt. Lawna, yes, a nice ring.
The make of car, yes, it is a SSang Yong Tivoli, ELX in two tone. Cream and Black with beige leather.

Oh has just mowed the grass, all the new gravel has been dispersed and we are looking very tidy. An at home day, me just pottering, ironed some shirts, nearly blowing away with the wind howling through, but I am not complaining. I will take it cooler.
Rain on the cards for later, even better.

Time to potter again. More pills due. Everyone take lots of care, enjoy Sunday, will watch some Olympics.

Thank you Joan, yes I do have Rheumatoid as well as Osteoarthritis and Osteoporosis.

I had a blood test last week. I was very weepy. DN was anxious because I couldn't talk properly. The Matron came out to examine me. It was exhaustion and a bit of depression. Still a bit weepy. Feeling very confused, got an appointment with rheumy nurse in a couple of weeks. But also had a request for blood test, the same ones I rang up for results. They have the results, so why do they need to do them again? so more phone calls. so fed up.

    :too-hot: :( :?

Joan, I'm sure the housing association would be ok with a garden tap. Having a bucket to collect water is a good idea. I could do with one of those.

Barbara, the lake at the garden centre sounds lovely. Maybe you could leave a towel on the seats. How lovely to go to your neighbours bbq. Good for them still doing them. I usually only eat the meat too and salad. I'm really enjoying coleslaw at the moment. Happy birthday to your brother. I was thinking about an extendable hose but there's nothing really wrong with the one I've got so maybe next year.

Toni, the chairs sound wonderful. Thank goodness one was already put together. You'd have needed ear plugs. Strange our Scottish relatives are coming down here. I thought we'd all be escaping up there. You'll soon see what lurks at the bottom of the pond. You've been there a month already? Wow, that went quick.

Aiden, you're right about FB. You can't take your eyes off them or they'll be up to something. I've put pictures on today from yesterdays festival but have had to do them in two lots - one with family and one without. Oh what a terrible accident with the bbq grill. It must have been so painful and you must have been quite shocked. No wonder you don't like them. I like the spelling of Lawna. Very good.

Goodness me Kath. It's no wonder you are so weepy and exhausted. I hope they are looking after you well. Maybe the tests are inconclusive so they need to do them again. Sending you some (((hugs))) and hoping things get sorted for you very soon.

Found out yesterday that a man who used to live round the corner from me is in Rio. He was the head coach of a local badminton club and is now the coach of one of the Olympic Sri Lankan badminton players.

Another busy day yesterday. There was an international festival in one of the towns over the weekend so I went yesterday with my son and his family. There was a parade with a lot of the local schools and kids' clubs. It was brilliant the way they were all dressed up. There was an awful lot of work went in to it. Then there were acts all over the town, some just in one place and some of them wandering about, most from other countries. I didn't get home till teatime, had my tea then straight round to my niece's new flat. I wasn't sure about going as I know the others like to sit till the early hours. I said I couldn't stay up late so we were only meant to stay a couple of hours. By 10pm, I could hardly keep my eyes open but didn't want to spoil it for the the others. Didn't get home till 11.30pm so spent today mostly sitting about.

Awww, you lovely lot. you'll have me in tears again. Actually I nearly went off again after ringing the hospital. This new lot of blood tests is to see if I can have Rituxmab. If I can, the appointment on 23rd August is to discuss the drug with the nurse, then start it two weeks later. If not, I suppose its back on Methotrexate. :? Tablets, lower dose. Its just all the waiting.

Afternoon to one and all, thought I would say hi, before I dish up my next lot of pills.........
Hope you are a bit cooler now Barbara, it was horrid the other evening. Nice breeze today, even with the tumble dryer on, I am managing to keep cool.
It was coffee and scones again this morning, getting to be a habit, lol. We are naughty, but, never mind, there are worse things we could do. Rio does look wonderful, I would love to see the statue of Christ the Redeemer in real life. It has some very rough areas, slums and terrible crime rates. Very sad.

Sending loads of hugs Kath, I know that waiting is a terrible time, especially when you feel low, which is not surprising. A lot of people with RA or OA suffer with depression, myself included. Unless you have been there it is difficult to explain. Pain in its own right, on a constant basis, is a major cause. Glad Matron saw you and that hopefully in a couple of weeks they can actually start treatment. I know it is hard.

Sounds like a good time was had by all Christine, as you say, a lot of hard work going into a festival. You did well to keep going until 11.30. No wonder you needed a rest on Sunday. The BBQ was very painful, I remember people throwing me onto the lawn and rolling me around to put the fire out................. :o

Joan that will be so handy having the sockets outside, I would drop a BIG hint about a tap, just in conversation like :)

Hi to Toni, Elizabeth Mig and all,
    Medication time.

Off to see my Cardiologist on Wed, for 6 month check up. He must be fed up with seeing me after 20 years, lol.

    Evening All

Long day today and very busy.

I hope everyone is well. Today has been a good day weather wise yes Aidan much fresher.

Only one mole to do battle with ;)

Kath you take care - we're all right behind you and fingers are crossed that you hear soon about the ritux ((()))

Washing up dries my hands out Barbara! Your hubs maybe thinks WUL cleans his hands??? Rio does indeed look lovely but I bet it's too hot.

Aw Joan bless you! I get it. The safe box for the chargers is your priority just now.

I have one of those hoses and it is GOOD it really works. Doesn't reach the end of this garden though. Heard best not to water anyway for me as moles like damp soil - more yummy worms!!!

Wondering if May (Bertyboy) will pop in for a cuppa?

    Love to everyone...Elizabeth...

Hello Barbara Kathleen Aidan Toni Bertyboy and anyone else I missed
Barbara I like washing up. I hope you have a good day.
Kathleen I hope you get your Rituxmab. I asked the doctor about a acid she said you don't want that there is a new tablet out that is dissolvable I will give you that.
Aidan the chargers are kept outside with the scooters and some one stole sue's charger that is why we are having the box put there. I hope your test goes well.
Toni do you live in the country. I hope you all have a good day.
Bertyboy it's nice to see you on here again. I hope you have a good day.
we have two helium balloons here from sue's carers for our birthday.

Afternoon to one and all - Just a quick hi, as the bones and joints are shouting their loudest today and sitting, standing, pottering etc, is all very painful

Sounds like you have been very busy Toni, steady away now.........
Moles eh, you can get those mole scarers, that don't do them any harm, but make a noise underground. I think. Or did I dream it, lol. They are very good at turning the soil over.
Daisycat will be watching for mounds appearing and robo mo won't like it at all.

I hope your chargers are safe Joan, why people cannot leave other peoples property alone, never ceases to amaze. One was stolen from Tesco's so their buggy was out of action. Helium balloons, oh they are fun, I remember inhaling the gas and talking like minnie mouse. Not that I would condone such behaviour :lol: Should we be eating large amounts of cake, for birthdays? I do hope so. :D

Hi BertyBoy, the show sounds like a great day out, if not a wee bit tiring to say the least. You take a seat and I will make T, in melamine, as I am in dropping things mode at the moment.

I see Mig is back from the Fjords, having had a lovely time. Better make another cup of T while I am here.

Potter time. Cannot sit any longer, it's agony Ivy.

Take care everyone XXX Will let you know how I get on tomorrow at my Cardio visit. Aidan

I was telling Kath that I have just had rituximab blood tests and have the first infusion on Friday. Not happy that I'm missing the Olympics that day but as the pain is getting worse I cannot put it off. I saw the Nurse in May so it has been a long time. Sorry you are feeling so down Kath.
I was also saying about the greyhounds to Christine. Dan likes to walk them at a local place but I now just send donations to various rescues as they are inundated with abused, abandoned and injured hounds so their running costs are sky high and they need all the help they can get.
I've never heard of that make of car Aidan. Dangerous places these BBQ's at times especially with little children running about and copious amounts of alcohol. That was a horrific accident.

Oh yes! Driveways. We have kept some lawn but most down this road have concreted over their front gardens. There have been flooding issues.

Joan we have an outside tap and it saves lugging water in and out of the house so I'm pleased. Its never frozen over either.

Barbara glad your GD had a lovely birthday party. I love coffee and cake too ad you've made me hungry now!

Nice to see the house move went well and the garden is looking tidier Toni. Lorna is a great name but think it is a male bot too. like Toby after Tobor from childrens TV or Robby the robot from forbidden planet. Not very imaginative sorry...

Olympic womens team gymnastics tonight. I'm very excited to see how gets silver and bronze. USA are pretty much unbeatable unless they fall on every routine.

Better go and post before I lose this again.

Hoping Toady is well enough to join us again. She's been away for ages.

Barbara, my niece's flat is about a 10 minute walk from mine so not far. I used to live a few doors from there a long time ago. Kat Copeland, a rower, won a gold medal at the Olympics's last time but isn't doing so well now. Her parents live a few miles from here and have a vet's surgery next to the Tesco I go to. They painted the post box gold in her honour.

Kath, all this waiting. You just want to get on with it don't you? I hope it's not long.

Aiden, it is indeed very sad that there are slums and crime in such beautiful places. You sound as if you were very naughty when you were younger, breathing in helium. Hope all goes well tomorrow.

Toni, no you don't want moles in the garden. Worms are good but not moles. I think Aiden is right about the mole scarers. I'm sure I saw them advertised somewhere.

Hi Bertyboy. Not sure if we've met before so hello. Sounds as if you enjoyed the show despite it being such a long day.

Joan, it's a good idea to have the boxes for your chargers. And it's your birthday. Happy birthday. Hope you both had a lovely day. How nice of Sue's carer to bring balloons.

Elizabeth, do you think you might be able to watch tv while you have the infusion? Might be worth asking. As you say, though, the infusion is more important. Enjoy the gymnastics tonight.

It was supposed to be good gardening weather today but it was very windy, a bit rainy and cold so I only did a bit of tidying up and cut back a bit of the buddlea. Haven't done much else. Oh I cleaned out the fridge. :?

    Afternoon everyone :)

Kath I really hope you are eligible for the rituximab. If not we shall all have to storm the corridors of whoever made the decision! You will like Bertyboy AKA 'May' she was around years ago.

Thank you Joan sounds like you had a great birthday there cupcakes are enough if you are eating out I agree :) 75 wasn't it? Your parents would have been so proud of you both :)

Hey ho May - did you get your mug of builders?

Christine I will have to look into mole scarers as described by Aidan. I would be happy enough with that so long as it didn't affect my bot :?

I need a buddleia here! That is one thing definitely missing. It is chillier today so I will only be filling in mole hills with a little cat litter.....

    You did the fridge

    Sit down girl!!

Barbara you could be right about the moles just disappearing, but it seems the village is rife....even in the graveyard
    :o

I hope all is well with you today? How is the swollen leg?

Elizabeth Friday it is and we will be with you :) I have recorded yesterday's women's gymnastics to watch when \I sit myself down with the ironing tomorrow.

Ok Elizabeth Toby will be your name for the bot to go in the hat because I really think 'he' is male. Paul needs some male company ;)

I do hope Toady is ok too :(

Aidan I too am struggling ATM my hands are so sore as are both feet :( Ya boo. Sometimes I do wonder about the weather

I have now googled your mole thingy and it's electric so not sure I can do it.....will have to plant a load of daffodil bulbs instead.....

I have been thinking about you today and hope the cardio is pleased with you (as best as possible of course) :D
