Joan, a cup cake is enough especially if you were going out for dinner.

Kath, I hope you are feeling a little better today.

Barbara, sorry to hear you're getting leg pain from your hip. I didn't know it could take so long to heal. If it doesn't ease off soon, see your doctor just to check.

Toni, I had to laugh. I've got a picture in my mind now of your bot and a mole scarer chasing each other round your garden. :swim-shark: Don't worry about me cleaning the fridge. It was only a quick wipe. Did you know buddleia is now classified as a weed because it spreads so much? I cut one of mine right down to then ground each year and it grows to about 8 feet.

Aiden, hope it all went well today. Hope too that everyone else is doing ok.

My GD and I went to the park again and spent most of the time at the pop up beach burying each other's hands and feet and building and knocking down sandcastles. Then played with her new bubble machine when we got home. Guess I'd better go and do some work tomorrow.

I'm feeling better thank you. I had my blood tests done, first stage of better times - hopefully. :)

Joan, it sounds as though you and Sue have had some tough times. no wonder you are so close.

Aidan, I hope all went well today. I hear you'll be busy soon, Poldark is back on soon.

Joan, you and Sue obviously have the same taste if you both bought the same card. Are you identical twins? You both must have felt so lost losing both parents at such a young age. I'm fine thanks. Just feeling a bit tired tonight and looking forward to the weekend.

Barbara, you too lost both parents when you were still quite young. It seems so unfair. They are working hard on cures and it won't be too long coming, I think. I think the beaches are great. You can really feel as if you are on a beach. There was a teenager going in as we were coming out and she said it looked rubbish (I'm being polite there). Don't know what she expected - a full blown beach with the sea included maybe. I've got my fingers crossed your pain will ease off soon.

Kath, I'm sure it is the first stage of much better times for you.

It feels as if it's been a really busy week although I haven't really done any more, just in a different order. I'm watching Supervet just now. He is so amazing and now he's using 3D technology to make spare parts.

Hope all our missing cafe dwellers are ok.

Just a quick and late hello - it never rains lest it pours.

Cardio was ok, keep taking every possible drug there is. He was concerned that my mobility and pain had increased quit a lot. He had to launch me from the couch after the ECG, otherwise I would still be there. Also said that stress is not helping, as in mum in law being ill. So many of the drugs affect my concentration and thought processes............anyway, that was that.

Wed was Mums Birthday, so lunch out was planned. Nope, phone call, been ill since monday, being sick shivery, (why didn't you call us). Off to the GP, then admission straight to hospital. Sepsis in abdomen, on huge doses of antibiotics. Sickness has stopped, on IV's and going to have scans, etc, to see if it gall bladder and or the cancer........mum very weary and tired out........so, it is hospital visits daily at the moment and catch up in between. OH brothers, neice are all visiting too.
Sorry I cannot read back, but wanted you to know I am about, in out and all over.
Then what drops in the letter box. Capability for work questionnaire................like are you joking, we have been down this road SO SO many times. Anyway, OH will fill it in for me, things are a damned site worse than when the last one was sent in.
Thinking of you all, leaving hugs to one and all. Will be back soon. XXX Aidan

    Oh Aidan!
I am so sorry :( your poor MIL! Gosh I hope they get her right for you ASAP. No wonder you worry about her...

as for that form :x I am fuming! They have no idea the stress they are putting people under! I think your OH is wonderful :)

At least cardio was 'ok' although it is noted your pain has increased and mobility levels decreased. How can you not be stressed?

    ((()))

Christine - another orphan here too.

I'm not impressed with that stupid teenager! Those inland temporary 'beaches' are a great idea and sometimes the first time some kids have seen sand except in a pit! Like they could bring sea too??

We love supervet and we also love dog rescuers.

Kath I am very pleased t hear that the ball is firmly rolling now for you as regards rituximab :)

Barbara sonic mole thingies - I am going to get some of those too. They aren't electric and Paul thinks they'll be ok with the bot's wires and not interfere.

My Mum lost her Mum at 15 I lost Dad at 66 Mum at 70. I Intend to do better for my girls' future. That's the plan anyway. No news on hip.... or the funding for her new shoulder :(

Joan loosing your parents so young :( No wonder you two are so close. No wonder Lucy's cancer scared you and Barbara so much too.

Right better get some clothes on - lazy mare!!!

    Love to you all

Had my infusion. I took my book and ipod along but spent most of the time dozing. I didn't take any meds before hand incase.

Everything went well and I already feel better in my wrists and elbows but my feet are killing me tonight and I also have restless legs (which I've never had before) and couldn't get comfortable so took 2 painkillers to see if that helped but now I've give in and come downstairs o the laptop. It is now 04.59.

Kath I can only hope funding is agreed for rituximab. They wouldn't fund my humira anymore as it was no longer working so I had to have a alternative.

Aidan I'm supposed to have an ECG but don't fancy it. I had one after my THR and the visitors all turned up at the same time.
I'm sorry Mum is suffering with sepsis. Have you any idea where she got that from? Glad she is being monitored, and those forms are just constant hassle aren't they? Something that ill and/ or anxious people could really do without.

Hope you finished your ironing Toni. I watched the gym live on TV, better picture and commentary than the computer.Apparatus finals is this weekend. Toby is in the hat...I am pleased! Buddlea or Mallow, they are both fast growers.

Joan and Sue Happy Birthday. I hope you had a lovely day.I also lost my Dad in my 20's and mid 30's for my Mum. Last week I finally got my video with my Dad on transferred to DVD. there is another one somewhere but I have so many tapes it will take years to find it. But I must keep looking.

Applerose did you see the meteor showers? I only saw on TV but they looked lovely.

I sometimes still get hip pain from the THR Barbara but I'm sure its because I don't get enough exercise. Hopefully that will change if the rituximab takes. I will make sure I get out and about a bit more. We were thinking of going out for a meal on the way home from hospital but I was too sleepy. I had a tuna sarnie and a lovely thick yoghurt ad banana so was not hungry in any case.

I suppose I'll make a hot choc and try to get some sleep now..its half five in the morning.

Elizabeth, well done on completing your first Rituximab and that all went well. Hope the restless legs is temporary. :o

I had phone call from my Doc. She's put a prescription in to the Chemist for Riseondrate. Considering the side effects are the same as Alondrate, which I gave up, I don't know what for. Lets hope I don't get the same problems. :? But now, I have ostepenia in my hip now.

Kath I felt the same about rituximab. I did wonder why they stopped humira and swapped it for rituximab which has similar side effect problems. Is the ostepenia a new diagnosis?

I actually enjoyed the peace and quiet at the hospital Barbara. Plus tea and coffee, a tuna sarnie and a lovely creamy yoghurt :D I sat in a reclining chair which was so comfy I really should buy one for my home. Mind you I imagine the children would love it too, especially Daniel!

I saw the trampolining live Barbara. I am also scared for them as they have to get it right on the day.We used to have a brilliant female trampolinist years ago but she struggled with funding and trampolining wasn't in the Olympics at the time. I watched it last Olympics and it was Canada's only Gold medal and the same girl has won again. she was the flag bearer for Canada at the opening ceremony. What an honour.

Yes all the best cycling facilities are from your way Barbara. Bet you are all so proud of them.

    Watching Murray now.

Aiden, don't worry about reading back. You have enough to deal with at the moment. It's difficult to keep stress at bay at times like that. I hope mum starts to recover soon. Hope you are managing to get some rest.

Toni, I watched another episode of Dog Rescuers this afternoon and found myself standing in front of the tv with my arms out trying to understand how people can treat animals so badly. Not sure if I can watch any more. You also lost both your parents. I know you'll be around for a very long time. You are such a strong woman and determined to do the best for your family. Fingers crossed the funding will come through soon. Hope you've got some clothes on now.

Joan, i've had my feet up most of the day. Did a bit of weeding and some studying but been watching tv. Hope you are having a good weekend.

Barbara, you're right about leaving the indoor jobs for winter. There will be plenty of time for them then. Hope you had a lovely time at the wedding and the evening do if you went. Weddings are such happy times.

Elizabeth, bet you're glad that is over. Glad it went well and hopefully the restless legs and feet ease off quickly. No I haven''t seen the meteors. There's quite a bit of light pollution here and I don't fancy wandering off on my own to try to see them. It's been very cloudy here too. Might have a look from my window when I go up to bed. Hope you got back to bed and got some sleep.

Kath, hopefully you won't get the side effects with the Riseondrate. Sorry you've got ostepenia now. I don't know what that is. Will need to look it up. Hope it isn't causing you pain.

I've not done much today, a bit of gardening, some studying and a lot of catching up with tv recordings. I found a double patio door on the freecycle site. My son's sliding patio doors were falling to bits so I let him know. He collected them last night and has put them in today. He said he should have got help but done it himself so only cost him the price of hiring a van for an hour.

Wow Christine! Free patio doors! How great is that?

Mmmm....that's the problem I have with dog rescuers, but the happy endings and the forgiving natures of the dogs makes it so worth watching. Most of the time. Sometimes I am there tears rolling down my face :(

I used to record it and Tia would warn me - don't watch it this week if it was too upsetting.

Mind you I don't understand how people can hurt children, babies, older people either :?

Well done for doing some studying yesterday.

I did a little pottering in the garden too but not much.

There you go Elizabeth a good rest in the hospital and no-one deserves it more than you do :) I am so pleased you got treated well and had your feet up.

I now have everything crossed that it really works for you, you deserve a break from it all now ((())) Go away restless legs :x

I have been watching all my recorded gymnastics again (men and women) with my Lucy over the weekend so far. Mallow? now I hadn't thought of that.....good thinking :)

Apart from yesterday when I saw my sister. She is down from Scotland staying with her son for his birthday. It was lovely. Today is his birthday so I won't see her again before she goes :(

Joan - does your sister make you feel 'safe'? I so wished mine lived nearer. I miss her dreadfully :(she is the only person who has known me all my life.

Kath I think your DR knows you need to stop that osteopenia getting worse....it's worth a try. Fingers crossed for you the side effects are less.

Barbara Paul doesn't like the gymnastics, but like me he enjoys the track events so we do have something in common!

The cycling is good as well - isn't it extra exiting when people live nearby!!

I do sit and look at the grass it's so lovely, but am still gently working on the pond. I have braved taking the tarp off when Daisycat is out - she seems sensible around it. When it's raining it can fill up a bit with 'cleaner' water.

We will break the mold for our kids yes. We know more don't we? My parents were far more sedentary, ate a lot of lard ( ) red meat, and smoked. I used to but managed to give up. Not easy and I still miss my cigs :(

Will have to ask Aidan for a virtual one!!

Talking of virtual!!! My nephew has a virtual reality set up on his computer!!! It's amazing!! I 'stood' on a mountain and 'threw sticks' for a robot dog :) I stroked him too :)

I didn't do the rollercoaster as you can get travel sick!!!

Mig I hope all is well with you and you are enjoying the lycra on the Olympics

Aidan Sending you and B love and strength and hoping MIL is doing ok ((()))

Osteopenia is bone thinning and a precursor to Osteoporosis. I had it before Osteoporosis, but now its gone in my hip. I think I need a bone transplant. :? I've always had rubbish bones. As a child, doctor
wanted me to have callipers. Mum said no, and sent me for ballet lessons.

We've had to ring Severn Trent Water again. someone has clogged the drains again. :(

Evening to one and all - I have tried to read back, but it won't go in.........it's a shame, bless eh.
I do hope everyone is as ok as possible. Thank you again for thinking of us.
Mum is doing ok at the moment, reducing the IV antibiotics, just need some clear blood cultures then plan for home. She did look a bit better in herself today. There were 11 of us at visiting, arriving from all different directions. :o We did the first sitting, then met up with brother and sis in law in the coffee shop, before they went up. Nephew and family where there too. Poor Mother must have been shattered.

Just about keeping things ticking over at home. OH has mended the computers, what a star. So I am back up and running, well, pottering along.

Bones and joints are screaming, with all the in out of cars, in out of wheely chairs, up down, back in, out..........a bit like the okey cokey :lol:

I must get on with my ESA form again, seeing as we lost all the things that had been written. Damn and blast. I don't think they realise the worry it gives people.

Right, I had better go throw some more pills down. Everyone take lots of care.
I think I have scone withdawal symptoms.

    Oh Aidan what a relief!!

I am so glad your's and OH's beloved Mum is clearly on the mend

Those visits will indeed and worn her out. Visitors do when you are poorly don't they? Lovely to know so many love her though.

Of course you are in pain, in need of tablets and scones  Normality will be restored soon I am sure when the cultures come back clear :D

Kath I did know about osteopenia I think Hileena has it and she taught me about it. It's a good thing at least to know so future damage can be minimised.

Your Mum had a point as exercise of the right type can indeed help build healthy bones!!

Oh dear those pipes!! All you need is rain now and you'll be up to your necks in it all of you :(

Yes Barbara I can see how you could have fallen over, but I was probably too cautious I thought I was going to fall off the cliff!

    :splash:

I hope the Happy couple remain happy :)

Ponds are a bit scary the previous owners had a grandchild so that's why they had been strangling it with those bed ends :(

Joan I have often thought I could end up living with my sister. She is probably the person who 'just knows' me. I miss her already :(

Off to have my hair cut in a bit better get dressed.

Oh bless you Joan. I suspected you would have used callipers at some point. Children with cerebral palsy when I worked at special schools used special plastic splints, no more metal callipers.

We called the water company on Sunday. They sorted it out immediately. There's no charge, as we are on a shared drainage system. They could see where it was coming from, so they knocked on their door and asked them NOT to use wipes in the toilet.

Aidan, I'm so pleased to hear MIL is improving.

Booked my transport for my appointment next week. A new company have taken over the contract. Hope things run smoothly.
