Aiden, I wonder what the seeds are. Hope they don't all grow. I was out doing a bit of gardening this afternoon and everything I touched had web on it. Your mum is doing very well getting out every day and what a lovely nurse, just the right amount of humour but saying how things are. Thanks for suggesting garlic or tea tree water for the slugs. I'm not too keen on tea tree but might give it a go. I like garlic too but not sure about spraying it around. I like Brian Cox and Stephen Hawkin. I read one of his books and it all made sense at the time but now I can't understand time warps again. Hope everything turns ok for your nephew and his kidney.
Joan, I have heard of teeth and jaw problems with arthritis but the dentist didn't mention that so I don't know.
Barbara, I was a little bit too warm last night, not too bad though. I can't remember now how I got my name on the rocket. I subscribe to NASA's emails and another space agency (can't remember what that one is called) so it was probably through that. They asked for names to go. My daughter put her name on too.
Mig, oh no, don't let OH close the window. I'd melt if mine was closed. You've been busy with all those apples and plums and pies. I've got a glut of rhubarb in the garden so must get on with using it.
Toni, great news about Lucy getting the job and they're ok about her op. Brilliant. The taxi fare is quite hefty isn't it? I'm sure we all have everything crossed that Lucy's core decompression works well. And she got her City and Guilds. Way to go Lucy. That is so fantastic knowing how difficult it must have been. As Mig says, we are all very proud of her too.
I had a man round to spray a wasps nest yesterday. It was in the eve's of the roof. No sign of them today. Phew. Ordered my Australian GD's birthday present today. Just hope it gets there on time. She'll be 4 on Thursday. Last night, I was chatting to 2 old school friends and we finally arranged a get together. We're not all free till the middle of November. I've seen one friend a few times over the years but the other one neither of us have seen since we left school. Really looking forward to it.Christine0 -
Christine thank you ((()))
I picked Lucy up last night and she was so late coming out that I chatted to the police about it. A WPC went in to check on her. She was filling in forms  Guess which over-protective mum was in the dog-house!!
Are the seeds maybe silver birch?? I only suggest it as we have a huge one and it looks possible from down here :?
It looks a lovely day today so will nip over to help with the village clear-up in a bit for an hour. I hope we both manage some time in our gardens today That ought to be the last you see of your wasps now.
I hope your pressie gets to Australia in time fingers crossed.
Aidan I bet your Mum was pleased to see your nephew and very much hope the biopsy results are ok and a little steroid kicks his kidneys back into touch ((()))
Those shins better stay intact!!
Well that cheesecake went down well at 4.30 this morning when I got in with Lucy thank you very much.
Get those ears of yours lowered
mig how lovely - I miss my damsons Normally I am busy making damson cheese and stewed damsons etc. I think this garden ought to have a few fruit trees in it.
Hi Barbara thank you for your kind words about Lucy I know all will be well on Wednesday can you believe she will be working until 3 am on that day?????
She has told them she is having surgery, but not why...bless her she just wants to be like everyone else.
I have heard of people having stars named after friends as presents...???
I would send Gary round to yours if you were near enough he is such a good natured chap has 3 boys the eldest is adopted and has always raised money for cureleukaemia
Thank you Joan I will try not to worry about Lucy but it's not easy I've been doing it so long!! Thank you I know you will all be here with me/us on Wednesday ((()))
Hope Kath is doing ok. I saw her on facebook yesterday when Charley was making me look at some funny cat videos
She had posted some lovely photos of her kids and herself when they were little
Right best get my hoe ready

Hello Barbara Mig Aidan Toni Christine and anyone else I missed
Barbara I carry a little plastic bag then if we don't finish it all we can take it home and have later or give it to the dogs.
Mig have you tried apple dumplings.
Aidan I hope you and your o/h and your mum in law and o/h have a good week. and your Nephew op goes alright.
Toni Lucy must be so proud of herself and you of her I think she needs to put her story in the local paper to show others what can be done when you try and you have good parents to let you do it. I will be thinking about her on Wednesday.
Christine I hope the wasps have gone. yes we have cobwebs on plants and the washing line. I hope you have a good week.
Hello Toni I just saw you there you care about Lucy some mothers don't. good luck with the village clear up.
take care all

Thank you mig and bless you
you too Aidan even more I bet your OH appreciates how hard that course was for her with a duff hip and shoulder!!
Love and ((())) to you both xxx
Everyone will be so proud and rightly so Toni Lucy has covered more ground on her journey into adulthood, than most would ever have to cope with, in a lifetime.
OH does understand very much so, he is still paying the price for all the years of hairdressing, let alone having joints that need replacing in the beginning.
You might well be right about silver birch, we have quite a few round here and the leaves always fall first, the seeds were flying in the open windows yesterday.......
Not getting in till 430, oh dear and no, you did the right thing, making sure all was ok, the Police don't mind sensible and rational people at all, it is the ones who are falling in the gutter and don't know if they are on this earth or fullers, that must get them down.
Hope the village tidying goes ok and that you manage some time in the garden too, mind that pond - it seems to be bottomless.
I have had my ears well lowered Deep Joy.
Cobwebs, I don't mind them outside Christine, in fact there is a fantastic (did I say that) striped spider, on the handrail along the decking, wonderful markings. He sits in his web, waiting for flies to come a cropper. I would not have him as a pet, but he has amazing markings.
We have had wasps nests, we even had one over the front door, that neither of us saw. It was our neighbour who said, what is that on your porch roof. Yes, a wasp nest. We have the foam that you can spray from a distance. There are loads around at the moment, going daft, eating all the fruits and getting drunk. They dive bomb me for fun. :? Glad yours has been sorted.
Hope the present arrives in time, all that way away in Aus. Sometimes the world seems huge, then you see it in context to our galaxy and we are a micro dot.
So many mysteries that we cannot yet understand, things that would defy all our laws of physics.
Hope you are enjoying the weather Joan, it is ovely today, not too hot, I even had a fleece on the bed last night, yes, me, in a fleecey blanket...............wait till Tuesday, I will be wilting again.
OH has gone out into the garden, the sweet peas have gone mad and are entwined with the Acer tree, some serious pruning back I think.
Mum is on strict orders if there is any sign of a skin break on her legs, to call me.......no matter what time. It would need a sterile dressing asap. They are having an at home day today, resting. I am pottering, into the kitchen in a minute, to pop the garlic bread in, mushroom soup and garlic bread from Mark's. I will leave some to share.
Coffee and scones at the garden centre tomorrow, usual time, usual table, right near the coffee machines, so I can just smile and they bring me another, lol
Have been enjoying the US open, men's final tonight. It has been a great couple of weeks. Davis Cup next, that will be exciting, from Glasgow, the crowd are SO loud. UK V Argentina this time round. We would love to go to a Davis Cup match, the atmosphere must be wonderful, (even though I don't like crowds, I would make an effort).
TTFN Take care everyone XXXX Aidan

Blimey so much to read but will try my best..a lovely day here sunny and breezy..
Toni Lucy never stopped surprising us,good for her getting the job ..and having the op on weds.. I do feel for you Toni, it must be such a worry having her working till late and the op..but there is no holding her back.. I will send all the good vibes I have for weds..and say some prayers...poor you having to go and pick up Paul has well ...when you can get some good me time and relax..or things will catch up with you...but you know we are always here to talk or vent to..(()) xxand you are not over protective...
Aiden I do hope your nephew will be ok and they can get that kidney functioning..it must be so scary when they start to fail...WASP now they are my phobia they stings for the joy of it..I hope the spray works but dont get them mad.. just dead.... :shock:shaun the sheep.. at least you will feel cool..
Christine you are another with wap..or have I got it wrong with Aiden..my brain wont connect...hope the man has obliterated them.. I find it amazing you have got your name on the rocket..
Mig is making plum crumble not had that for years so cream at the ready..
Joan the bag is a good idea a doggy bag I think they call them ..we did take on the Indian once or asked for one..
Hope Kath is doing ok and the drain are flushing..
Been to a carboot its on hard standing ..so we took the chariot..and my crutches..what did we buy you ask..Christmas lights..the ones we had stopped working last year..got them home and every other bulb is not working..
Right tea and crumble for me..love to everyone xxxxxxLove
Barbara0 -
Kath, sorry to hear you are feeling a bit squiffy. I will make a bed up ready
Is this the Mtx catching up with its side effects? Did they give you any anti-nausea medication?
If not, then you can buy stugeron from the chemist, which does help. Should that not help, then ask Dr for something a bit stronger. Ginger biscuits and a nice cup of T, I will make you some.
There was a lot to read wasn't there Barbara, sorry, it is me rambling on and on. I keep going until I cannot feel my hands and lower arms, then stop.
Kath had the wasps in her eaves, or was it the attic, we had wasps nesting over the front door. Every year we are all on look out for each other, to see if wasps are looking for nest sites. I agree, they sting for fun. Everyone says, keep still and they will go away, like heck they do, the best thing is to wave everything in a panic and spray, bat or zap them.
I am sure my Nephew will be ok, he does not feel unwell, he has gone playing hockey today. It was only when he changed Drs and they did a routine bloods etc, that they found his renal functions were in his boots. From there, they discovered he only had one kidney and that was failing. (it is quite common for men to only have one kidney and have no idea throughout their life). He went on to dialysis three times a week, then got a call just before Christmas, two years ago, that there was a donor that matched.
So the lights were not a bargain then, lol, every other one not working. Oh dear. At least it was a little trip out. There is one in the cattle market here, every Sunday. We went once, but boy was it whiffy. Never again, I don't do cattle stalls.
Did you mention crumble, mind if I gather a spoon and pinch some
OK I have deffo written enough. I will sort some washing. OH has finished in the garden and is taking computers to bits.
love to all XXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Toni, that's what us mums do. Overprotecting our kids is our job even if they don't like it. Hope you enjoyed clearing up in the village. Lucy is working the night before her op? Wow, she is determined to keep life as normal as possible. My daughter bought me a star. I got a map with it marked on so I can find it.
Joan, my mum used to make apple dumplings. Yum yum. I love to see the webs in winter with the frost on them. They look beautiful.
Aiden, it sounds like a beautiful spider. You could still have him as a pet and keep him outside. After I told my son I'd paid to get the wasps sprayed, he told me he had some stuff at home but I don't know how he would have reached. I did once have one in the soil of a raised bed. I remember squirting something in and blocking the hole then running like crazy in to the house. I've seen a couple of videos starting with something microbial then going further out till you could see the universe then zooming back in to the microbe. Difficult to comprehend the size of things at each end of the scale. Mushroom soup and garlic bread sounds delicious. I now have a squished wasp on my screen. I didn't know that men often only had one properly functioning kidney. You learn something new every day.
Kath, hope your tummy is feeling better by now.
Barbara, wasps are all gone now. Phew. Hope you enjoyed your trip to the market. It's terrible that they sell things that don't work. There's not usually anywhere to plug things in to see if they work. Can you take them back or is it too far?
My son came over today and painted some waterproofing over my shed roof. It didn't go as far as it should have done so we had to go and get another tin. Still worth it if it works. Then went up to his house where my eldest GD and her friend made a cake. Looked lovely but I couldn't try it. So I came home and made a gluten free one. Only problem is there's only me to eat it. :oops:Christine0 -
Hello Aidan Kathleen Barbara Christine and anyone else I missed.

Sorry been awol again. The laptop crashed on Wednesday so I downloaded something and a load of rubbish came with it. Took me awhile to sort.
So today I am so anxious as Jack has his induction day at college. I'm praying he will be able to cope with the course as over the years he's had a lot of communication issues. Its the first day I've been alone (oh has gone with him to test out the train/bus journey) since June.
Dan is starting on a construction course with his school! He's going to be learning how to decorate, plumbing and brick laying.
I asked SIL about her driveway and it turns out FIL subcontracts it out to a reliable friend with his own company and I now have his name. But I think it'll be next Spring before I can get it done.
I googled the glowing eye spiders and it seems they have eyes like cats and yes they do glow in the dark. Of course when I googled hundreds of glowing eye close ups appeared o my page but I was brave!
As for mating they find the female in/near to her web ad that is where they stay.
I once had a boyfriend who had had a kidney transplant. He didn't know how ill he was until his sight suddenly went one day and somehow had to drive home.
I'm due several different blood tests-I can't keep up and I've lost all my 2 monthly blood forms as I had a big tidy up in the holidays so getting some more sent out.
Glad the ESA was all sorted Aidan. You can relax for a little while. I've never claimed ESA and it seems yet another ordeal to face.
Toni why didn't Lucy text you to let you know she'd be late as she was filling out forms? They do leave us worrying don't they? I am glad Charley helped with the gardening-what happened with her car in the end? Oh congrats to Lucy on the city and guilds certificate. A*'s don't matter-its enjoying life that counts.
Aww Christine how lovely to have a star named after you. Did I read you have your name on a rocket
Not long to wait for rituximab Kath. Was it the mtx making you feel so unwell? I'm luckily only on 2.5mg but I expect it will be increased as I'm not too good atm. Aidan hit the nail on the head 'set like stone' is a perfect description. One good side effect I'm currently having is my skin is all soft and clear. I wonder if that could be the vitamin D tablets?
Lovely sunny day yesterday and I'm hoping today will clear up soon and it will be another scorcher. I want to sit in the garden and forget all my woes.
OH Mum is 70 this week so we are going out for a big family meal. Did I tell you I was too unwell to go to my OH's 50th meal in April? I feel really sad about that. I've already decided to have the scampi-in-love as a main course.
Hope you are enjoying the sunshine Joan. We have our windows opened day and night here (except Daniel who cannot bear noise).
Hello Barbara. I didn't know about your kidney- you take care. Hope GD gets brace fixed okay.
Take care all.

thanks AiKath I missed you yesterday hope today is a better one..aren't we lucky to have our own nurse on board..IE Aiden
We certainly are Barbara, I don't know where we would be without him. :?
Elizabeth, well done Dan, I hope he enjoys it. I did wonder about the MTX I take it on Friday, 7.5 mg. Even the injections made me feel squiffy.
Aidan, you're brilliant. I've just had 2 ginger biscuits they've helped. Are you mixing me up with Emily? She once had bees in her bathroom."Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." Robert A Heinlein

Joan, it helps my eyes a bit when I use a hot wheat bag on them but I only usually remember just as I'm going up to bed. They haven't been quite so bad, thanks. Hope you and Sue are ok.
Barbara, I hope your GD managed to get her brace fixed. It sounds as if it is quite fragile. Yes you can help yourself to my slice of cake. I made some muffins for myself when I got home. All gone now. It cost me £25 for the sealer I got. It was 2 average sized tins. A drum will cost a bit I'd imagine. Hope the physio went k and wasn't painful.
Sharon, I think the Time for Tea is a great idea for fund raising. I've never been much good at baking cakes. My son was allergic to eggs so I didn't make any for a lot of years and now I'm sensitive to wheat so only occasionally make a packet cake. Even that turns out flat.
Elizabeth, no need to apologise. We all go awol now and again. I hope all went well with Jack's induction day and you managed to get some rest without worrying too much. It sounds like an interesting course Dan will be doing. Hope he enjoys it. My name is on a microchip which is in the rocket which has gone to the asteroid Bennu to collect samples. I remember you saying you couldn't go to your OH's birthday meal so I'm sure you'll enjoy this one.
Kath, how are you doing today? Hope you feel a little better. I think I remember you telling us a while ago about the bees in Emily's bathroom. It must have been scary.
Had a busy day today. Didn't get to sit down at all till I got home so I've been sat all evening watching tv. My boss's mum has bought yet another vacuum cleaner. Every one she gets, she finds something wrong with it - it's too heavy, it doesn't hold enough dust, the cord isn't long enough and this one, it's not cordless. It must be costing her a fortune.Christine0 -
Better than bees in her bonnet Kath
Try to get extra sleep if you can after MTX that might help I am glad Matron had a good idea with the ginger biccies
Elizabeth Lucy had texted me, but of course the building is so sound-proofed....she showed me, but now she knows....hopefully. The day before punters were hitting on her so I was worried
I think Dan's course will be a good one. He should enjoy that. Hope Jack got on ok.
Enjoy your scampi and chips my girl you have waited long enough for it. Happy Birthday to MIL
Clear skin? vitamin D tablets?? I'm going to get me some
Thank you Sharon I will certainly have a look at that - it's a shame we can't 'really' have our tea with our on-line café friends isn't it?
They can be a bit funny when you break your brace can't they Barbara? Lucy broke hers twice both the back bracket which means it's not working. I hope GD is ok now.
Yes you are doing the right thing with your kidneys by what you eat - my MIL is now on dialysis and at 83 they won't do a transplant so....
What did the physio try in the end? I hope it helped a little. ((()))
Hi Joan I hope all is well with you and Sue. We are getting ready for Lucy's op on Wednesday...scary.
Hi Christine yes Lucy will be working until 3am on the day of the op then has to be at the royal orthopaedic by 7.15am and hour and a half's drive...think she'll take some waking from her anaesthetic!!!
That's it a star I think it's rather a lovely gift
What a shame you couldn't eat any of the cake she made!! Aw bless her and you too
Glad the shed is, hopefully, waterproofed.
Hello Matron, Aidan, how are you today?
So do men get more kidney failure/disease than us women then? That's a shame for you all.
I enjoyed my soup and garlic bread thank you it was very tasty
I hope the computer is still working after OH's DIY attempts on it yesterday? Charley 'made her 'own' computer so hopefully he did know what he was doing.
Tomorrow got to get Lucy's nails removed, fresh bedding etc must make sure they know she can't have anti-inflams because of the leukaemia....Going to hoover out my car and load up wheelchair, crutches etc ready.
Let's hope there are no 'nasty' nurses on the ward. There was one on the YPU. She was dreadful, but soon moved to another ward.
Right onwards and upwards
Well ok bed really... if Kath isn't using that one I might jump in!!
I am shattered!
Love
Toni xxx
Ps Christine look after your eyes ((())) suggest Bosses Mum sells 'old' hoovers on ebay or something like that.
bless her!0 -

Toni you must be getting so scared..but Lucy op will soon be over with..we have banded any nasty nurses...and we need you to stay Strong and look after yourself..we are all here for you...(()) xx
Elizabeth I hope that Jack got on ok at college..the worry is always on the mums..and Dan is doing the right thing taking up so many different things my OH is in heating and started has a plumber..but always said he wish he could do bricklaying..you enjoy your meal out not heard of scampi in love...but it sounds nice..and glad I didnt have it wrong about the spiders eyes..
Mig you enjoy being out with your daughter ..put the worlds to right..
Thankyou Sharon..||I will have a look..but not much baking these day with these hands...but still like to eat it..
Christine..so another new hoover for your bosses mum...maybe she will let you have you pick.. yes GD got her brace mended I think they are sick of seeing her.. I remember reading on a forum that wet wipes are good for your eyes..just to hold them over the top..but read up on it
Kath hope you are feeling better... Aiden is kind..I remember the ginger biscuits when I had morning sickness..glad they worked for you..
The physio yesterday said there isnt much she can do apart from the exercises she gave me..been to renew my bluebadge today..we didnt wait long and they take your pic with there comp..didnt even let me brush my hair...
Hope Aiden is managing to keep cool its has just gone black here... :shock:Love

:too-hot: I am air conditioning dependent, it's official.
Afternoon to one and all. I was going to write last evening, but just could not muster the oomph. Pepe the boy cat was sick and off colour, which in turn makes me very anxed and unsettled. He is a lot better today.
I hope everyone is as ok possible, keeping as cool as you can in this silly weather. Not easy, I know.
Joan, I think it is the scones first and then plants if we need any Scones take priority, which is only fair, seeing as they have been handmade for us all to enjoy.
Hope the warm weather is helping those aches and pains.
Barbara, I bet you are melting, sending cooling hugs. We need chillows, (they sell them on the shopping channel ) help dissipate the heat.
You take care of the kidneys. You are doing all the right things. Salt is a big problem really, we don't realise just how much there is in food products. 6grammes a day is more than enough. I am as guilty as the rest, I love my crisps. I never add it to any other foods we eat. Black pepper, oh yes.
How did you get on with the physio? Sometimes they do seem to pass the buck. I know they did with me and in the end said there was nothing more that they could offer to help. :?
Time for Tea sounds wonderful Sharon. A worthy cause indeed. Does the forum have a just giving, or donation page? Just wondered.
Hi Elizabeth, good to see you. Crashing computers is not good, but it seems a common thing. So much adware and malware makes its way onto our pc's and they do take some sorting. OH has had to reinstall windows so many times over the years.
How did Jack get on with his induction day at college? I am sure it was ok. I bet it did feel very strange being on your own. (((())))
Dan will be very multi skilled, I hope he enjoys it, hands on is always a great way to learn a trade.
At least you should get your drive done now, spring would be a good time. I know it is boiling hot at the moment, but, it won't last, Autumn is heading our way, even though it feels like a Miami summertime. You know where you stand and who is doing the work for who.
Spiders, you are brave, I don't think I will google their glowing eyes.............  I will take your word for it.
Vitamin D will help your skin, as does vitamin E, both are very good. Any natural oils too, argan oil, emu oil. The more healthy oils we eat, the better.
Did you get the chance to sit in the sun and forget things for a while? A pity you were not well enough for one party. The scampi in love sounds very nice, love scampi, with homemade tartare sauce............mmmmmmm Enjoy the family meal and company.
That's kind of you to say Kath and Barbara - I try to help if I can. Sadly I don't have answers to all ailments, or we would all be skipping and jumping - that would be fun, just once in a while. Glad the ginger biscuits helped, they are very good if you are feeling a bit nauseated.
I guess it will be the MTX.
I proabably am mixing wasps and bees up and where they were and who had them. A senior moment - of which there are many
You boss could have a garage sale of vacuum cleaners Christine. Mention the Bosch Athlet 22.5v, it is amazing, the best cordless cleaner I have ever had. I can use it too, so I feel like I am helping. The vax has me beaten I am afraid. I bet you were more than ready for a sit down.
You will have to keep us posted as to your ventures into space. How fabuous that your name is heading off into what is the unknown, on a mission of great scientific importance. Way to go.
Hi Toni, not too bad thanks hun, keeping as chilled as possible, praise be for AC.
I seem to remember nursing more men with renal problems than women, although as a Mr Nurse, we were on placement on Male Urology, not ladies things :?
Yes, the computer is fine. He had a big tidy up and found yet another computer, that he had forgotten we had. As you can guess, it is a hobby and there are computers galore. Bless, he has an abcess on tooth and is concerned that gall bladder is grumbling. So I am on monitoring mode.
If there are any nasty nurses, I will personally call the unit manager and complain, after your good self, of course. There is no cost to kindness and a little help goes a long way when people are at their most vulnerable. just let me know and Matron will be after them :swim-shark:
Remember we will all be there, pocketed away. I might not be able to resist peeping out and checking that things are as they should be.
Abundant hugs and blessings
Mig I hope you enjoyed your lunch out and didn't get too hot.
It is thundering here now and we have a weather warning for rain, hail, lightning and torrential rain....................... :? It keeps going very dark. I might click submit, or I will loose it all of the power goes pop.
Everyone take care, lots of fluids............XXXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
I think we posted at the same time Barbara, lol. So we are in the same boat with the physio's. Blue badge done, check, hair not brushed, oh dear. Did we have a cake while out and about? I do hope so. Keep as cool as possible, its as black as soot here.
XXXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Please do be there peeking Aidan and jump out if there are any nasty nurses for us.
If they have to keep her, and she has a bed ready - they phoned :? They said hips can bleed a lot
I won't be able to stay so will have to either go home or sleep in her wheelchair somewhere.
You have multiple nursing duties atm hope OH is ok and the gall bladder isn't a-grumbling....

Toni, yes it would be wonderful if we could all meet up for tea. At least we get plenty of cake in here. I'm guessing you've been very busy today getting ready for tomorrow. Lucy will be at work just now. At least it's keeping her occupied. I'm feeling nervous so goodness knows how you are so no point in saying don't worry. We'll all be there with you. It'll all be over before you know it. (((hugs)))
Mig, I hope you enjoyed your trip out with your sister and enjoyed your lunch.
Joan, it's unbelievable that someone would steal a vacuum cleaner. You can't leave anything unattended, can you? Hope it hasn't been too hot for you today.
Barbara, I won't get a hoover. My boss's mum always says she'll give it to her daughter. If she does, she must have a few too by now. I did a bit of searching about and found a few people saying there's something in the wet wipes which helps eyes. I'll have to try it. Thanks for mentioning it. I'm sure your hair was ok for the photo but you'd think they'd give you a minute to make sure.
Aiden, glad to hear that Pepe is ok today after being a bit off. I'll have a look at the Bosch and let my boss's mum know if I think it's what she's after but I think it will need to be all singing all dancing. My sister went in to their loft a few years ago and couldn't believe the number of computers she found up there. Her OH had put them there to fix later but never got round to it. Hope his tooth and gall bladder sort themselves out quickly. I can picture you peeping over the top of Toni's pocket checking things out.
Another long day in the hot heat. Wasn't too bad really till I walked about 10 minutes to Tesc*. Got inside the shop and just stood for a minute as I was so hot. One of the assistants came over and asked if it was hot outside as I was very red. She chatted for a few minutes. I'm sure she was just checking that I was ok. She was lovely. By the time I got home I was dropping so, once again, I have just been sitting here. Hope it's cooler for us all tomorrow.Christine0 -
I will most certainly pop out if there are any nurses who are not up to par. Will be thinking of you all, after a very early start. Hips can bleed, but most areas can and they know what measures to take, so, try, ( I know, it's impossible, but lots of positive thoughts and nice deep breaths. ( I will be worrying too, rest assured). I am glad Barbara will keep us up to speed.
I do seem to be on call in all directions at the moment. OH is fairing ok, I am dosing him up with pain killers, the abcess has burst (sorry if you are eating). Area around gall bladder is not too tender. Then there is Mum, who we will see tomorrow, they (mum and Dad) are coming in for their hair cut. I will have a good check of her legs, they are SO swollen and I am watching them like a hawk for any signs of weeping. The McMillan nurse and I both thought there were little blisters lurking under the skin.
Then I worry about next door, who had the heart attack, especially in this heat, she would not hesitate to shout us at any time of day or night.
The lady opposite has recently diagnosed heart trouble and is waiting to go in for a valve replacement
The couple next door are quite mature in years and he has had several mini strokes, along with other medical problems.
I think I will open a ward. That's a good idea. Didn't I used to have a ward, I am sure I did, in the annexe of the cafe.
We had a massive thunderstorm - went for a nap, as we do. All settled, phone rings, Aunt and Uncle, arranging meeting for coffee and cakes on Thursday..........all done, get comfy. Almighty crashes of thunder and lightning that was almost constant. This went on for well over two hours. So the nap was a none event.
I don't blame you for standing a moment, in the cool of the shop. I have not ventured out today. Kind of the lady to see if you were ok. I bet you were dropping, even if it was not too far, in the heat we have had, it drains you completely.
Right, I had better move, I have gone chair shaped. Everyone take lots of care. I will get ready for pocket duties. xXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
