Sorry for confusing everyone. It's NEXT MONDAY PEEPS,

Aidan, I can smell lamb! My favourite meat. Next to beef, but then I quite like pork. :D

When I worked with disabled kids, I got a team together - including Emily and her pal who were art student at the time, and decorated the library into a scene from TLTWand the W. A tree down the middle split winter and spring. We made a sleigh with the Snow Queen in it.

Oooh Joan, is that the only difference? I won't ask for a peek.

Afternoon one and all, a pleasant day, not too warm, yet...........so that's a bonus :)

Cows popping their heads through the window, I bet that was a surprise Joan. I like cows.
Hope you are ok and managing your trips out together.

No, I did mention Marigold and Yack, then we have Cuddles and at one time we had Snowy the dog too. We had quite a zoo at the back of the cafe.
No, I am not embarassed, I would have been in the wrong job to be bashful lol. I am sure MIL was relieved, they stopped about an hour after we left, so not too bad, gave her time to have a nap.
I cannot cope with a house full of people, at all. It gets me all worked up for ages before and after. I sound like I am falling off my perch, but I am ok, just a bit unsettled at the moment. It will pass and I keep pottering to and fro.
We did manage coffee and scones this morning, with mum and dad IL. Mum was quite perky, had a new ensemble on, which was very nice. I have a feeling it is the second large coffee that might set me into a tizzy. It was quite strong, nice, but strong. I will try and reduce the caffeine intake a bit, see if that help.
Sadly I am not able to reduce the cakes, but never mind eh.

I have seen the all in one soup makers, they look very easy to use. We love a good soup and garlic bread.

My late Mum was rarely over 6 stone, goodness knows how she coped carrying me. I was nearly 10lb. I did ask about brothers or sisters and she said once was enough,:lol:

Don't worry Kath, we will re schedule our pocket duties. I rarely know what day it is, without looking at the phone or computer.

Three reminders have come through for our flu jabs tomorrow morning. ( I remember when we lived in France, the Dr gave me the syringe and said carry on, you don't need me to administer a flu jab ). LOL

The Library decorations sound amazing. I would love to spend a while in Narnia. Now, see, I am loosing the plot.

On that note I will go medicate myself. Bless.

Hi to everyone else, take lots of care love and hugs XXXX Aidan

Hi Kath-not long to go now (rituximab). I spent my time mostly asleep despite lugging a book and i pod along! They gave me a pre med and I was seated in a recliner chair with extra pillows so didn't stand a chance of staying awake. I was able to be unhooked from the infusion in order to go to the loo too.

I found out that the 6 week ritux blood test is 6 weeks after the second infusion so glad I've got that sorted at last as was going to do the blood test 6 weeks after the first.

I've now had 2 good mornings in succession so may be it is starting to work although my heart beat is still 'odd'. I really must go and have that ECG especially now that the children are successfully back onto the school routine. Just a few rail card things to check! I don't think all the school changes have done my heart any good, my anxiety levels have been sky high.

Be back when I've had a further read.

Hi Barbara :) She'll love the card then won't she? I would prefer Lucy to be at a foodery-type pub too. Secretly Paul and I are hoping she might look at something a little more practical when she is weight-bearing again.

We see the shoulder Professor on 28th (next week) so will be able to update you all after that. Fingers crossed :)

Hi Elizabeth :) I am pleased all kids are back at school so now time to get your ECG done. Hopefully it will come back fine. I am very pleased to hear that you have had two good mornings fingers crossed then that the rituximab is helping and will also help our Kath :D

Thank you Joan yes I think she was glad to see her hip for the first time in a week and the bruising will fade soon I hope :) How is your foot going on?

    Love

I'm back having had a marathon read through.

I'm glad Lucy is progressing well and that she received a lovely fresh veg basket. Your new home and village sound wonderful and I'm quite envious. I have lived in the countryside before and even had cows in my back garden once. I had quite a fright looking out of the kitchen window and seeing cows right by the back door.

Barbara that is quite a move for your GD as London is so expensive. OH took Lucy to London on Saturday as she arranged to meet up with her online friend!!!! It was a real person

MY D's ex gf has sadly got a new job in the USA, an opportunity not to miss but they still remain friends.

Good luck with the exam Christine. I don't think my brain would cope with any courses at the moment.
I did love the spaceship too :)

I'm not good with a house full either Aidan but do look forward to seeing my Brother and his girlfriend who visit quite often. We always have tons to talk about and hardly pause for breath! We usually text about the football every weekend but I've not been in contact at all this season because I've had my mind full of other things; first the Olympics and then all the kids stuff.

We have some lovely strawberries at the moment. They usually taste of nothing but these are gorgeous. Plus raspberries, grapes and bananas as I'm trying to get the children to eat more fruit.

Joan hope you are well and Sue too.

Right I need to find a coat for my Son as the weather is starting to get all autumnal now.

Lovely chatty post Elizabeth so I know you are feeling a good bit better :)

You are totally right this is the very best village anywhere :)...now the shed will be open tonight I think. Let's hope Paul gets home in time eh

You and your OH were so right to take Lucy - safety first! I bet she enjoyed her visit!

I am so sorry to hear about your D's gf going overseas, but you never know what's around the corner do you?

Yup Autumnal ATM, but with threat od warmer dryer weather over the weekend - sorry Aidan!!

Afternoon to one and all, I had better write, before reading back becomes a muddle. It takes very little to muddle me, shame eh.

So, our pus cats are Yack and Marigold. Oh Barbara, you do remember Marigold and Yack, indeed, you said you recalled milking Marigold, many moons ago.
It is indeed, to short a life, to be without cake. We will be off to the garden centre tomorrow, usual table, usual drinks and scones, thank you.............:)
We are even going with the neighbours at the week end, which will be very nice, although we natter often, we rarely actually go out and have an official social time, plus, she wants to work her way through the cake counter :lol:
I am sure your eldest GD will love her card. We have used Moonp-- from time to time, they have always been very good. SO much to choose from.
Yes, I was spoilt rotten I guess. Toni working in a bar, very good news.

Oh dear, nurse Diddycat will not have been best pleased with her de flea, mind you, you don't want lodgers that are not welcome. She will forgive you. Ours are indoor cats so we don't need to do the drops on the neck, but, a first sign of scratching and I am in there like the nit nurse from School, lol. Not found any yet.
Parsnips in soup are wonderful, in fact I could eat them all day, chipped are very nice, slow roasted, mmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Cow pat duty, well, there used to be lavender pats on the night trolley, if I remember rightly

Arnica at the ready, I am sure you did a sterling job. Hugs to Lucy. ((((((((()))))))

No, I let Sister do my flu jab this morning Joan, although I would have gladly helped out at the clinic. She said, have you had a temperature? Well, yes, since MAY. Ask me again mid October.

Let's hope the medication continues to work for you Elizabeth, don't blame you for falling asleep. Keep and check on the "odd heartbeat" - it might just be ectopic beats, which are pretty harmless, but well worth having an ECG to make sure. Anxiety will not help either, I can totally sympathise with you on that one.
Having small numbers of people, like one or two ish, I can cope with and if I have had enough, I tend to wander off - people are used to me doing that and don't take offence. I will go and fuss in the kitchen.
Hope you manage to find a coat for your Son. A few leaves have been falling around here, noticed them as we were coming home from the Drs. I love Autumn. I was lucky enough to be in upstate New York as autumn was starting, it was truly magical, the colours were breathtaking.

We will be there on the 28th, for hospital appts Toni. I will get a scone order in.

Time for T, biscuits, feed pus cats, ready for a nap, well, watch the clock, but at least it rests my bones a while.

Everyone take lots of care. It is very dark here, hoping it will rain soon. Love to all. XXXX Aidan
Charlie from Casualty will be running the ward tonight. Safe hands.

Toni, I'm blushing now, but thank you anyway. We did Little Mermaid, and lots of others. We would take strips of crepe paper and curl it, then let it dangle down so the children in wheelchairs could feel it rub on them as they went through them. I loved doing it.

Joan, I'd love to see Lexi and Pepper play together. :D

Parsnips, Aiden, they are luscious however they are cooked. Especially roast.

Eizabeth, I'm so pleased the Ritux is starting to work. It gives me hope.

Oooh, I love you lot. k020.gif

Loves you too Kath :) Big cafe group ((((((((((()))))))))) I bet all the decorating was all fabulous, with sensory things for the children too, how wonderful. :splash:
They did do a parsnip and lemon cake at the tea room we go to for lunch sometimes, the one with the gian eclairs. Apparently it was delicious......

See Barbara, I get everything in a total muddle, I have Toni working behind the bar without her knowing  I think I will have to start taking notes. lol.
Yes, we are looking forward to going for coffee / cakes / brunch, whatever it turns out to be, on Saturday. They went the other week, but it was not until they went to pay that the cake counter was spied - they had been sat outside and missed all those treats.
Hope you are ok and have had chance to partake in a cake or two.
They had huge New York cheesecakes on offer at Sains
this morning, £2.50 and it will do us at least three sittings, with some Greek yoghurt mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
It is sunny, but nice and cool, I am in bliss, feeling almost chilly in the breeze that is blowing through - I am NOT complaining though.

Sending hugs for your sore foot Joan, let's hope they can help asap. Your doggies sound lovely, Pepper and Lexi, lovely names. One of the neighbours cats is called Pepper and the other one Chillie.
Sounds like they get on so well and love to play. Our Siamese has a few little cuddly toys that she has adopted, she carries them round, screaming like a seagull :? Siamese sound just like a baby crying.
Hi to Sue too. Hope you have a good week end too. :)

Coffee and cakes were v nice at the garden centre this morning. The lady who was sorting the coffee machine had spotted us and already had mine on the go, (not that we go too often mind).

A bit of washing and drying, cats have all enjoyed sharing some of our tuna, that we had for lunch.
I might go launch myself into the shower - always a tricky manouver. That reminds me, I will get in touch with the maintainance guy again, he has been coming over for the past two weeks and not made it yet. He is super busy though, so we forgive him.

Everyone take lots of care, hi to Toni, Mig, Christine, Elizabeth SW and all.

    Bonne week end. XXX Aidan

Always happy to help Aidan - behind the bar like Lucy it runs in the family. c020.gif though I might have a few myself!! Tia also has a part-time job now behind another bar

If the maintenance guy is a good guy you just don't like to chase them do you?

I think you ought to though.

Oh oh oh!! a WHOLE New York cheese-cake  Bliss although as you know I would add double cream unless skezier has left us any clotted???

Tuna purr-purr!! Pusskins will have been very happy. No fleas on our Diddi!! Things is with her being a super-hunter.....

    n035.gif
You are still wise to check them because visitors with pets could always transfer them

Thanks for the arnica and yes the lavender cow-pats were on the trolley:)

Aw Kath Little Mermaid too I reckon you really added to those kids' lives :) I bet you did get a lot out of their pleasure. Aidan will agree that the nicest people work in care one way or another.

Thank you for the flowers I've put them over by the window so all of us can see them when we come in the café.

Barbara - and Tia!! What is it about bar work!! I reckon I'd make a good barrista myself loving the stuff :)

Glad the girls are with Gd's Gf's parents it will take the pressure off a little financially. HAPPY BIRTHDAY To her!!
    s020.gif

Thank you Joan :) I will let you know how she gets on. 25th must be Monday? We will all be with you and hope the orthopaedic consultant can help you ((()))

I have had a busy day today visitors right left and centre!!

    Roll on bed-time :)

I love the idea of Elizabeth having the chair next to me when we have our next infusion. I don't think I snore, so shouldn't keep her awake.

This will make you all laugh - when we did Little Mermaid, a colleague bought a bag full of seaweed, starfish (dead) shells etc. In spite of soaking it all in perfumed water overnight, it stank awful. The Head teacher was NOT happy.

I'm feeling quite good today - in spite of not taking MTX yet. Will take it about 2 pm.

A late evening to one and all -

It seems that everyone is working behind the bars, lol. Steady away with those drinkies Toni. Oh a Barrista, for sure, we could get really jittery on caffiene, love it love it. n060.gif
Didn't we have a tunnel at one time, that went into the bar? I am sure we did. I didn't like it because of spiders.

I will drop a line to the man who knows and does a very good job. Always the trouble when someone is excellent, they are difficult to tie down.
Glad there are no unwanted lodgers on nurse Diddycat. I know they can jump onto clothing etc and be brought in, little horrors that they are.
Glad you remember the lavender pats, they always did the trick
I guess some of the nicest people work in the care profession. There are exceptions, as we have all come across, but, in general, most are just lovely.
Hope you had a good day with visitors, a wee bit tiring I would guess.

Joan we will be there for your appointment on the 25th, two days before my Birthday, ( I guess we should have a little party). That asside, I hope you and Sue and the lovely doggies are all ok. It has been much cooler today, did you manage to get out and about.

Barbara, I am glad you can understand me, lol, it takes some working out I can tell you. I don't understand me half the time a050.gif
It is wonderful that we are here for one another. The friends on the forum have been so kind, going the extra mile, in times that were dark and sad over the past years.
We have not had any cheesecake today, one day on, one day off, lol. I can smell the vanilla every time I open the fridge, so I might have to dig in with a spoon. :D
You did very well, not having a cake and then having a treat day, that's my kind of cake diet lol.
I read ona nd it is two days, with no cake. oh Barbara, don't let me down.........just a little scone per chance.
Glad you GD had a nice birthday, lots of presents :)

Oh Kath, I bet that bag of sea creatures was rather wiffy - I guess it was the thought that counted, even though the Head was not amused lol.
I am glad you feel a bit better, may it continue. Relief from the pains etc from arthur, is welcome at any time. Take lots of care.

Well, it has gone past the witching hour, so I had better move.

Hi to everyone else, Mig Elizabeth Chritine SW DD and all.

We are off out for brunch today, with our neighbours, there will be cake, I just know it. Still, it has to be done.
