    Christine, have both. :autumn-leaves:

I can't make out if someone is pouring hot fluid inside my leg, or if someone is cutting my leg off with a hot knife. :?

    Hi To everyone
Thank you for your kind words.
I am nearly human again today. Whatever it was I don't want it again. Eating very light foods, yoghurts etc. Get those good bacteria back in.
I think I have peaked for today, so I am sorry not to be able to natter. Oh, before I go.
Plus, we are piggy backed on to our neighbours internet. We have no phone or internet, builders at neighbours at the back, sliced phone cables, which are underground, while they were slicing through concrete. B
typical. openreach coming tomorrow, so here's hoping we will be sorted.
Oh and the car, we cannot get it till Wed, the motability guy who was there, has gone, left. Now handed over to another person at the garage, who is not back in from holiday until WEDNESDAY - oh we are not happy bunnies.
    Hugs to everyone, XXX Aidan

Kath I am so sorry ((())) I hope it eases soon - have you got any other painkillers you'd be allowed to boost with??

Joan I can't wait to have snow here, but must get stocked up first I suppose :) Some have said we might get it this side of Christmas.

Aidan I hope tomorrow you wake up 'normal'. Good bacteria yoghurts are a good idea balance things back up.

Not good you are having to share neighbours internet I hope that gets sorted soon.

    as for the car.........NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Evening to one and to all.
While I am (touch wood), feeling a little better, I thought I would write a bit.
I am not sure where I left off, reading back a bit. I see you have aired the cloak of invisibility Toni, that's good and we will be under it for Joans CT scan. Love the eye liner on Diddicat, Tosca has hers on both eyes, both very glamorous :)
Bot is going into hibernation, happen that's best now, with the recent frosts, she would not be a happy bunny, even less so, ice cold on top of a mole hill.
It is a mean cleaning machine and you have done a sterling job in the cafe, it is gleaming. That slime took some shifting I can imagine.

    Glad the washing is dry.

Kath, I hope the meds are working, hugs in abundance. The menu is lovely, I think I will just have the white chocolate pie, nice and light   I think. I dare not have rhubarb at the moment. :o:lol: The build up of your patches will take a while, for the meds to get to their optimum level, it is, as you say a pain, waiting for that to happen.

Joan, I am so glad that Sue was ok when the hoist packed up. Glad all is sorted and a new one working again. I am feeling a lot better thank you and yes, lots of fluids and light diet seems to have helped. You both take care, keep warm and fusses to the lovely doggies.

Christine I am pleased you got your payslip and an apology from your Boss, it is the least they could do. Oh, they are your bloomers Christine - stored with the cloak of invisibility. Will we find the cloak again though Toni.

If I wake up normal, then I will be the first person in history, lol. Trying to define what it normal is one of the mysteries of the Universe.
I know, the car, nooooooooooooooooo. Oh I was not happy.
OH has been ok so far Toni. We have another family gathering tomorrow, 10 of us this time. We have bought some fancy lights and sparkling trees for the table, with crackers as well, to surprise Mum and Dad. OH will nip down to the pub and dress the table, before we pick them up and meet everyone there. Fingers crossed all goes well.

Hi Barbara. thank you for the hugs. I think it was norovirus, as it goes as fast as it starts. It is not pleasant at all, I really felt like I had been hit with a mallet. I could not stay awake and for me to drop off in my chair is unheard of. It is that time of year when it rears its ugly head and closes wards, homes, etc.
The neighbours are wonderful, I just sent a text and said is your phone off - no - oh - ours is - here is the code, hook up to ours until yours is sorted. Stupid builders. Huh.
The weather is going to turn very cold, minus whatever by the week end. Then RAIN when we pick up the car on Wednesday. How very dare it.
We don't mind snow, as long as we have supplies, ciggies, cat food, bread, cheese, milk, litter, cakes - that's all we need lol. Oh and Hellman's mayonnaise.

Right I will potter a little. Hi to Elizabeth, Mig, Carol. Everyone take lots of care XXXXX Aidan

    Morning everyone :)

Blimey Aidan if it was norovirus it must have been dreadful my kids all got it one year all 3, but NOT me :)

I am glad you are o the mend now an yes avoid rhubarb

Tosca has eyeliner too? Maybe she can help Diddicat with her other eye she is left-pawed you see...

Bot needs a rest and will have a winter service once I have the majority of the leaves off!!

If you can please try to get a photo of the table once it's decorated it sounds a lovely idea! :)

Barbara thank you Daisycat can only do one eye though :( Did I ever post the pic of her with blusher on being an angel?

What were you going to tell us all I wonder??? Oh well we shall find out in good time I expect ;)

Lucy is very happy with her hip thank you, but no news on shoulder am seriously considering speaking to Wrighton??

Hope everyone is ok. I know Joan will be along in a moment :)

I am at the village craft fayre today helping make tea. Might be able o get some Crimbo gifts too :)

    Morning to one and all

Kath, I hope you are in less pain today, sending extra hugs, with lavender pats and Dr George, to administer extra helpings of charm.

Of course Tosca can help with the eyeliner Toni, she is a dab paw at hers now, being such a stately lady.tosca%20close_zpsu0l3rzd2.jpg

I have a feeling it was Noro - it is like that, can wipe half the household out in one go and leave the rest unscathed, it was always the same on the wards. Mind you, I was such a fuss pot, if there was word it was in the hospital I had the ward cleaned within an inch of its life, labels up on main doors, etc etc. No bugs on Matrons ward thank you.
I will take a picture of the table and post it later. Fingers crossed all goes to plan......................
Openreach van is here, but he is just sat in his van, on his phone, with is not pleasing M next door, who are cut off as well. She will be out like a woman on a mission soon..............:lol:
Here's hoping we get our phone and t'internet back on so we can un-hook from next doors, kind as it is...............scratch that, M rang mobile, Openreach cannot fix it, not enough wire to re join, so has to be completely re-routed, survey has to be done first...........could be ages. What a joke. Stupid builders not being careful when putting new kerbs in. It is odd here, as some phone lines are underground and some on the normal T poles.
Glad Lucy is feeling ok with her hip. Time to write to everyone who is in power, apart from Donald Trump  :?

Joan, it does seem to be one of those "never rains lest it pours" times, but it will all sort, in due course, we might have a phone by Christmas -  Hope you are ok, love to both and to doggies.

I had better move myself, shower, get ready..................will catch everyone later.
    Take lots of care all.

Evening all late again like the white rabbit but not has nimble.. :autumn-sun:
Aiden Tosca is so beautiful ..I would love a cuddle those stunning blue eyes... :) sorry to hear your car is delayed..mind you they say things that are worth waiting for..or something like that.. bet you have forgotten what it looks like...the virus has closed a couple of wards nearby..horrible like you say but thankfully short lived..the last time we had open reach was a few months ago..and then they had to come back the day after but all was fine after that...the young man even apologized for leaving us off line..
Toni I am so pleased to hear Lucy is happy with her hip..if you do get on to Wrightington ..I hope they can help, have you looked on there website see if they are going down the doner path..I am sure they will soon..the private patents keep the hospital in funds they come from all over the world..right we need a pic of Daisy cat with blusher on... Craft fayre I love them.. :D
Joan my late mum would say the same about the gardens..in the snow..It used to make me laugh

Toni, thanks for storing my bloomers in the cupboard but I can't find them. Are they inside the invisibility cloak? There was a flutter of snow in Newcastle yesterday when they opened Fenwick's Xmas window and it was so cold with rain which felt as if there would soon be snow in it. I've love to see a picture of Daisycat with her blusher on. Hope you enjoyed the craft fayre.

Joan, hope you are having a good weekend and not being too bothered with the fireworks. I think everywhere looks beautiful covered in snow but not so good when you have to walk or drive in it.

Kath, have some of these :snowplow: . Hopefully they'll cool your legs down.

Aiden, glad to see you are improving. Back to normal soon hopefully. How lovely of your neighbours giving you the code for the internet. Wouldn't you think that Openreach would carry cables in the van or at least be able to go and pick them up and get on with the job? That's not on not getting your car because someone has left. That shouldn't make any difference. The eyeliner does make the cats look very glamorous. The table sounds lovely all decorated. Hope you all have a great time. Tosca looks beautiful with her eye liner on.

Barbara, I'm sure if I don't dress up for Halloween next year, they'll all come knocking. Have you been out to the garden centre today?

My sister and I took my dad out for lunch today. There's a nice little pub just round the corner from the home so my bil took us and left us. When we went to the door, it was locked and there were no lights on. Then it suddenly started raining heavily so we found some shelter while we phoned a taxi and went to the High Street where we had a lovely meal. My dad enjoyed it but said it felt very strange being out even though he has been out quite a few times. But, as I say, he enjoyed his meal. The fireworks haven't stopped going off from about 4.30 and they are still going at 8.40. I keep thinking someone is letting them off in my garden but there's no-one there. It was touch and go whether any of the organised displays would go ahead because it was raining and very windy but it calmed down just in time so my son has taken his family to a local one. Hope all the doggies and pussycats aren't upset with them.

Evening to one and all, well, early morning - always a night owl, loved that thread...........
Toni, hope you enjoyed the craft fayre and managed some shopping for the festive season, (still a bit early for the Christ--- word).

Now Christine cannot find her bloomers and I cannot find the cape, in fact half the cupboard seems to be missing :? How big is this cloak. We cannot leave Christine without her bloomers, not in this weather. Talking of chilly weather, how is Diddicat in the winter months, still the eager super hunter, or fireside and warm laps to sit on.

I do hope Wrightington can help Lucy, I truly do.

Hi Barbara - I will pass on your lovings to Tosca, she will be most pleased. Bless her. She woke up from a dream earlier and wasn't sure where she was - not unlike her owners, lol.
We have the car brochure on the sideboard, so I can read it every day. They do say best things come to those who wait. A wee bit upset about the delay, but in the grand scheme of things a couple of days is nothing to worry about.
The man who is having the work done, who's builders went "oops" through the phone line, came round today and apologised, he said he caught up with the Openreach man, who was still in the local area, basically the engineer didn't have the right tools to do the job - so, they are coming back on Monday to fix it. The neighbour said the road does not need digging up, it is far less complex than that, just needs a this box and a that box and a whotsit...........he lost me, he seemed to know what he was talking about anyway. I said, don't worry, we won't hold it against you, but forget Christmas cards :lol::lol:

Snow Christine, snow.............eeek. Mind you that wind today was absolutely bitter. Our next door said "bet you are not glowing today Aidan" - no, I was frozen bow legged. There has been snow on the mountain tops in the lakes, just a very nippy wind here with bright sunshine.
I am sure Toni will find the bloomers, but she needs to be careful, if you end up inside the cloak, it is a bit like the Tent in Harry Potter, you can get lost inside. We might need a magic spell of bloomer finding abilities.
Yes, you would think that the telephone engineers would carry junction boxes and cables  the staple thing that phone lines run on. Cannot wait to get full internet back up. So grateful to the neighbours though, even if it is quite slow, as we are picking up their signal from across the side garden.
I would keep on dressing up for Halloween, as you say, the door will never stop knocking if you don't.
Glad you had a lovely meal out with Dad and Sister, hope you didn't get too wet or cold.
We had a lot of fireworks going off, but it didn't bother the pus cats or stop me having a nap. Good that the weather abated for the display that your Son and family went to. You are certainly on the chilly side of the land, with those north easterly winds. Says me, with it blowing a hoolie all day here.

The meal went well, everyone enjoyed it very much. The pictures have not come out as well as I thought they would, it looks a little lost with the decorating. The trees are lit and the glitter inside whirls around, look really nice. Mum n Dad were happy, as was everyone else, which is all that matter.

    20161105_122819_zpsloheod4m.jpg

This one was at the end of the meal, my arm is nearest the camera. Nephew down other end, BIL and SIL, mum is hidden lol.
I had just eaten sticky toffee pudding with cream and ice cream, well, I had to see if it was ok.

    20161105_145300_zpsmk10imln.jpg

Joan I hope you and Sue are ok, keeping warm and cozy and that the doggies did not get upset with the fireworks.

Carol, I hope you are mending, bruising fading and finger healing. Did you get a new walker.

Mig, indeed, Halloween is over, the mess was quite a sight to see. In fact the slime was a feature in itself........ So not all was lost. I did keep a little in a medicine bottle, just in case it is needed when someone becomes too grumpy. It is potent, we know that, it can blow people into the trees. ;)

Elizabeth and Kath, hope you are both ok, Kath I hope the pain has eased for you, extra hugs all round.

Right, I had better move. I am loosing feeling in my legs and arms. Potter time.
Take lots of care. Love XXXXX Aidan

    Morning All

Well I was too exhausted after the craft fayre to come on....then I spoke to my sister who was worried about our half-Aunt in hospital apparently.

So I had to ring the other half Aunt to find out what was doing. They are in Brighton. Turns out she is really rough. Angina and needs a stent, but also bowel cancer so which to do first???? They will decide on Wednesday.

Aidan the table looked so lovely!! I can picture the tree lit up and sparkling. :)

I am so glad it went so very well :) Cream and ice-cream with your sticky toffee pud? :D If you didn't test it they could all be ill  A very noble gesture on your part ;)

Tosca is so sweet and she did help Diddicat with her eyeliner being such a dab-pawed lady :);)

mig was right about the whereabouts of the bloomers and cloak of invisibilty.

Seems for cupboards collapsed overnight so they were in the charity box.

    n030.gif

We're having a new on made, but in the meantime I have brought them home bloomers and cloak.

Home lovely to have a flutter of snow Christine!! Wow!! We just had ice ice ice :(

I will have a word with Lucy for a blusher photo. She was being an angel-puss :)

I am so glad to hear your Dad came out for lunch with you and your sister. That is good after loosing his lady-friend will need extra distraction.

I sincerely hope, but suspect it won't be, that this is the end of fireworks ::)

Barbara I shall be ringing Wrighton on Monday morning and sussing them out. Paul is chasing this end. Time is just going on and on isn't it? I don't mind if the op isn't until early next year, but if it isn't there will be no hairdressing NEXT September :(

Joan I can't wait for snow, but won't be going out ;) I hope you Sue and doggies are ok. We are going to visit the wee poorly yorkie later on.

I had two cups of tea and helped our lady vicar wash up as well as pouring tea/making coffee and cutting up cake :)

I also hope Carol's bruises are fading and that Elizabeth is ok. Kath's fentanyl have kicked back in too I hope:?

Right better get dressed - there will be a whole load of classic cars passing through the village past our house at 9!

Mig, yes Halloween is done for another year but it was worth all the cleaning up.

Aiden, oh no, the cape has gone missing too. And half the contents of the cupboard. There was all sorts in there. I'm freezing so you all know what to buy me for Xmas. :winter-storm: Hope the engineer gets everything up and running with the boxes and whatsits tomorrow. Apparently my youngest GD was scared of the fireworks so they only stayed a few minutes. I also heard that that was the last display in that village as too many people are going now and it costs the villagers such a lot despite collecting donations towards it. The table trees look great, especially if there is glitter swirling round. Empty plates and everyone looking happy and contented. Aha, so it was the slime which blew me in to the tree. Here was me thinking I needed more broomstick flying lessons.

Toni, sorry to hear about your half-aunt. Hope they can get on with mending her very soon. You're right about it not being the end of the fireworks. They've been banging and cracking outside again for a couple of hours now. Not as bad as last night though. I've got everything crossed for Lucy so you get things in place for her op by the beginning of next year. So glad the yorkie can wag her tail. Definitely on the mend. Yes Toni, Barbara washed the floor with my bloomers. I need new ones now. Don't think the washer will get them clean again. :winter-storm:

Joan, you'll need to get little snow ploughs on the front of your scooters so you can get out in the snow. :snowplow:

Barbara, did you get those bloomers out of the charity box? If you did, those were mine. I hope someone will buy me new ones for Xmas. Glad next door's cat was found. Not everyone goes in to their sheds when it gets cold.

My DIL's mum had her thyroid out a few weeks ago. She went for a check up and was told that they had found some cancerous lumps but are sure they removed it all. They need to do more tests and a scan though. Just seems to be one thing after another at the moment. Some people I know are full swing in to getting things ready for Xmas and a few others are saying they haven't started yet. I've got the youngest's bits and pieces but still looking for a slide at the right size and price. The older two want me to take them shopping in a couple of weeks to get theirs but they know they won't be allowed them till Xmas. Then the other two, I'll get online to be delivered to them. No idea what though.

I've bought some artificial snowballs so all my GC can have a snowball fight without getting cold. :frozen: :snowplow: :snowball-fight:

It was indeed a noble gesture on my part Toni. We would not want any ill health following sticky toffee pudding. (it didn't even up skittle my blood sugars). Obviously I didn't eat quite enough.
The cafe is falling to bits. I am glad you have the hammer out to fix things. Best keep an eye on those bloomers, they seem to have a mind of their own since the explosion.
Glad that you are writing to Wrighton and exploring all avenues possible. What was that song - shout to the top - let us know if we can help in any way.

I am sure the lady Vicar was grateful for the washing up assistance and of course cutting of cake - I can help with that at any time :)

I hope the Openreach man brings everything he needs too. The neighbour will be there to make sure things are fixed, three of us in a row have had no phone or internet since Friday. I know we have latched on to our other neighbours, bless them, but the signal is a little iffy at times. Better some, than none. Keep warm Joan and Sue, doggies too, it is a biting cold wind............. :winter-storm:

Oh yes Barbara, we will put a pic of the car on, without a doubt, after all this waiting - seems like a year.
See, I said that Christines bloomers had a mind of their own, now they are being used as a scrubbing mop. Mind you, they do bring things up clean as a new pin. Toni will have a fit. Oh, I see it already, she has the washing machine at the ready, lol.
Yes, you can see my arm, lol. It was a lovely time had by all. My Sis in law was laughing at something, cannot remember what, I was too busy with my pudding.
Hope the blanket keeps you warm, Mum used to love her electric over blanket. The only time she was warm was in bed, little cold morsel that she was.
Glad the pus cat was found and is ok. Ours were ok on Sat, then Sunday, there was one HUGE bang and we all jumped, all five of us. Enough with the fireworks already, upsetting animals, not to mention all our lovely owls, that flee the woods. There is a v nice country hotel about half a mile away, very popular for weddings. Of course everyone has to have fireworks and they have to be better than everyone elses...........oh I couldn't be bothered. A lot of money going up into the sky.
Oh I sound like Victor Meldrew.:lol:

Oh bless little Yorkie, improvements, so good to hear. Bless some more.
Those bloomers need keeping under lock and key, mind you we would loose the key, or the lock.......... :? :? Sorry I forgot to ask about your half Aunt.

Christine, there are bloomers on order, for the colder weather. I think your others are not behaving themselves, Toni cannot keep a handle on them and Barbara is cleaning with them
It was the slime that blew you up the tree. But we can all take broomstick lessons any time. Being near Pendle, I am qualified to teach basic flying skills.
I love this picture of Pendle Hill, in the Autumn P1070849.JPG We are blessed to live here. I didn't take the pic, but I love it none the less.

Sorry to hear about your DIL Mum and her thyroid. It is a pretty much self contained gland though, so hopefully they will have removed everything in one go. Let's hope so
I like the idea of a snowball fight without getting cold. Times change, I used to be out in the snow all day long, completely wet through and frozen, but would I go in, oh no, just one more ride on the sledge. About 10 of us used to climb the nearest hill and all pile onto a pig plastic sheet and fly down, ending up in a heap at the bottom. :snowball-fight: Carefree eh........... :D
Nothing really sorted for Christmas yet, we feel that Sat was more like a Christmas meal, with everyone there. Oh said, is Christmas over now - errr, no, not quite love.

Kath, I hope you are in less pain. Carol on the mend and Elizabeth ok. Mig, I see we are having a Karaoke party in December. I will have to do a Bette Middler one I think.

Ok, I am set like a plaster cast, so time to move, well, try and move and potter towards the kettle and the pill box.
Everyone take care and keep warm. XXXX Aidan

    Morning Aidan :)

I have no idea what to do about those bloomers - they've washed up alright, but Barbara's eyesight meant she thought they were the (large) soft floor cloths!!

Glad you have Christmas britches on order.

If the Toffee cake failed to raise your sugar you can't have eaten anywhere near enough ;) OH is wrong I'm afraid 7 weeks yesterday to Christmas

Maybe today will be the day that openreach sort out your internet. I do hope so :?

I will know more about my half-Aunt on Wednesday apparently when the two consultants will decide which op first...stent or tumour.

    Did you see?

Charlie and Duffy finally got together on Saturday? :D

Christine insurance for firework displays are hight the more that attend so I get it.

I was relieved to hear it wasn't bad-flying that caused the collision. That can be 3 warts o your license you know

DIL's Mum will need thyroxine soon if her thyroid has been taken out. My bro had hyperthyroidism and had to have his zapped. About 6 weeks later he 'crashed' so bad the Dr wanted to admit him. I am sure they are keeping a good eye on her though with the lumps having been naughty ones.

How lovely! Warm snowballs :) If the kids are happy to shop with you it's better then they can choose and you know they will be happy with their choices :)

Well better get on now :)

    Love

    Toni xxx

Brrrrrr. It's very cold here and I can't put my socks on either.

I'm cross with the OH. however this gees me up and I've done loads of housework.

Not to worry about respite. I now feel confident enough to be able to leave him with the OH as he is coping with noise much better now. One door opens where another one closes.

Beautiful cat pictures. I can't wear mascara any more, it just gives me panda eyes. I got one as a freebie but will pass it onto my Lucy, who is at last taking an interest in herself (remember the knotty hair)!

Did you see Liz Earle had a recall on a batch of cleanse and polish? And they said it would be okay for most people but not those with low immunity!!!That's about the only thing on my Christmas list so far (for those who like to shop early-me I am trying to ignore it until early December).

Lovely pics Aidan and sticky toffee pudding is a fave of mine too.We are out for TBC meal soon. I WILL have some pudding this time but don't think they do sticky toffee pudding at our usual place!

Not much going on here apart from my cleansing frenzy. I'm going to tackle the bathroom next..

Ooh my Bruv has a spare ticket for me for Brighton v Villa :)

    Lots of love
    Elizabeth xxxx

Hello there one and all, just to say the phone and internet are back on and running at speed. Hoorah. Will write more later. I am sure I saw a pair of bloomers flying past, on their own broomstick. Strange forces are at work.

Catch you later - take care - Aidan XXX

I did read about liz E---- and the recall ont he cleanse and polish. I didn't know that the company had been sold in 2010, to Avon, who then sold it to Boots..........they don't mention that on Q_C people are saying that the formulation has changed and people are complaining about reactions to it...................oh dear.

Aiden, there were a few fireworks going off round here tonight. Hopefully, that is the last of them. How lovely is Pendle Hill. What beautiful colours.

Toni, those bloomers do get about, don't they? Thank goodness Aiden has ordered some more. Yes, I watched Casualty. I meant to sign in to tell everyone but didn't get round to it. Went to bed with a smile. Why did they waste so much time though? Wonder when the wedding will be? I'm so glad it wasn't my fault I flew in to the tree. Don't want to lose my licence. My DIL takes thyroxine and I'm sure her mum said she had started taking it. Glad your internet is back on. Don't know how we manage without it. Quick get the broomsticks out. We need to go and catch those bloomers before they get up to any more mischief.

Joan, thank you. The time is passing very quickly. Hope you are keeping warm.

Elizabeth, I find I used to get lots done when I was annoyed with my husband. Good to hear that Dan is coping better with noise and you can leave him with your OH. And good to hear Lucy is taking better care of herself. I guess they all get there in the end. I remember you saying you wanted Liz Earle's cleanse and polish for Xmas. Will you use the spare ticket to go to the match?

Barbara, I heard it was going to be -4. Brrrrr. Fur lined bloomers sound good but yes, they probably would be a bit itchy. The magnetic board sounds a good idea for the little one. I see you've wrapped up your palm tree. My son wraps his up for the winter.

I've had to turn the tv right up tonight and last night for about 5 hours. Next door are playing music so loud, it's annoying. Don't usually hear much at all from them. I think someone must have got a new guitar or keyboard. Has anyone watched Dark Angel. What a woman she was. Killed I think 4 husbands and 11 of her own 13 children to get the insurance money. Very interesting but they are cramming so much in, it's hard to keep up.
