Hi all
I'm bit tired tonight went hunting for my great granddaughters Christmas present today my granddaughter had told me she wanted these things called shopkins don't know if any of you have heard of them. found them in our local high street shopping center had to buy them now as the closer we get to Christmas these all the craze things sell out very quickly this time of year. then I did some other shopping before sitting down in costas for a nice coffee. well deserved coffee I might add as I had been walking around the high street and the center for about an hour. so quite a nice afternoon despite it being a very tiring one.
hope everyone is as well as can be expected my love to you all :autumn-walk:Stay positive always👍xx0 -
Aiden, the car looks beautiful. Is there room for us all in the back? I'm sure we'd all like a ride out and a sit down on the heated seats. I hope mum's shin heals up quickly and isn't stopping her getting about. Gluten free bread and cakes often do fall to bits but the one they changed was fine. A lot of people have complained about them taking it off. Swooning? Yes I do feel a little faint. Are there any spare beds?
Joan, my youngest GD is 3 and a half but she knows what she wants. Hope you are having a good week.
Toni, you have a vole? Hope you can catch it and release it and it doesn't turn up as a body. I'll have to show you a photo of girl elfie. I'm thinking I might have to sort out some mischief for her to get up to. Not sure my son or his wife will have the time. The church looks wonderful. It wouldn't bother me one bit. I'd sit looking at it most of the evening.
Mig, it makes the coffee a decent price if you get a third off. It can be expensive. Hope you enjoyed your visit from your friend.
Elizabeth, I heard it was going to get a bit warmer over the next few days so might not need the heating. I've noticed a couple of local people parking on yellow lines and getting a wheelchair out of the car so I assumed it was ok. Hope everything was ok at the hospital for Lucy.
Kath, I think I'll have the berry oatmeal smoothie for breakfast, the chicken pot pie for dinner and the creamy coconut quinoa pudding. Hope you get your flu jab soon.
Barbara, I hope the knitted bloomers aren't itchy. The last time I knitted was when my youngest GS was born. I knitted 2 bootees, one bigger than the other. I tried knitting a third one and that was a different size again. Are we all going out for a ride in Aiden's car?
Carol, I've heard of Shopkins. My youngest GD likes them. They are tiny. Yes, the latest craze toys do sell out quickly and you have to get them when you see them.
Went to my boss's mum's house today. It took me ages just to mop the downstairs floors as she kept coming to chat. She said she's looking for a new hoover (again). Don't know how many she's had. She wants a cordless, lightweight one which you never have to empty and which will keep going without being charged. I've booked in for a hot stone massage tomorrow afternoon as it's half price this month. looking forward to it.Christine0 -
Evening to one and to all. The cafe seems to have been very busy - I will have to catch up a little.
No, we didn't get told off for parking there Joan, with the blue badge it is ok. We always park in that spot - whenever we can, just a short hop to Nero's, so ideal. She is a car to be proud of. We have caller her Miss M (after the Divine Miss Midler ). Yes, all buttons have to be pressed, lots of times Hope you are both ok and the doggies too.
Oh yes Toni, very chuffed indeed. I rang the dealer today and said, order some mudguards for next week and we will pop in and have them fitted. We don't want excess MUCK on our cream paintwork. The only trouble with getting a new car at this time of year. Mushy leaves, puddles, following lorries or tractors.................huh. Might get the guys who work in Tes--- car park, to give her a quick bath today.
Mum's leg is healing well, they said one more trip to the surgery, for a dressing change and all should be well. She had a bad day on Wed, pain and just weary, but Thursday she felt better and came out for some lunch, which was good.
I have some resting splints, but I struggle to get on with them, they irritate me intensely  just no pleasing some folks eh. lol
I do remember the mod Jean 123. Everything was knitted, lol.
Did you manage to find and or catch the vole, was it alive, or had diddicat been hunting. :?
The picture of the Church is wonderful. Oh, takes me back to living in the Rectory and walking up to the Church, all aglow. I would love it too. Don't let the Rev lady turn the lights off.
Yes Mig, we have heated seats in the front, they get really warm, everyone is welcome to try them out.
Zizziz sounds lovely, whereabouts is it in Town. I have just had a nosey, it is on King Street. I used to get the bus on King Street, to get to Bluecoat School. Small world isn't it, when you think.
Hope you had a nice coffee and chat with your friend.
I was very surprised too Elizabeth, when I read about Liz Ear--- and the company. I have some from a while back, that I am using up, I haven't noticed any changes and I still love the instant boost tonic, I could sniff it all day long. I am not sure I will buy it again though. I guess I cannot blame her for selling up, with her growing family I am sure Liz wants to kick back and enjoy the fruits of her hard work and book writing.
Glad you like your new car too. Honestly, it is like a double cream colour. Shows every spot of dirt though, so I will be forever out with a cloth, lol.
I am very pleased to hear that OH was extra nice to you, rightly so, that should be every day and all the time. I will send some vibes his way, spells of kindness.
I never really nattered much on the phone, when I was young. I did talk to my Uncle and I remember party lines - they were fun !
I sounded so much like my Dad that people used to say "hello Vicar" and went on to say what was wrong or right, or problems........I used to say, after a minute "would you like to talk to Dad"
Kath, I will pop round in a jiffy and sort out the flu jab for you, won't take a sec. No, we don't want you in bed, on the ward, with Dr George looking after you night and day, lol. I do hope the nurse came.
The menu is looking wonderful. I think I will have everything that has blueberries in it, with cream, thank you. The car was worth the wait, we love love it.
Barbara, you are welcome to warm yourself on the heated seats. I won't dare try and move you, until you are poached. I think they turn themselves off after so long, as they suck power from the battery. They have two settings, simmer and boil,
We will have to wait and see how the USA comes to terms with the new President. President Trump sounds a bit odd, no matter how often I say it :?
Toni, if you post a pic of your lovely Church, covered in snow, I will be green with envy.............I remember one Christmas Eve, quite a few years ago, just after Dad had finished midnight communion, we came out and it started to snow...........I was completely in awe. (google a little place called Hubberholme, Dad did lots of services there, after he had retired, to help out the Vicar in the next village). Tell me what you think. Google images as well, of the Church.
I am glad you managed to buy those, what are they called, Shopkins, I will have to look them up Carol. Not surprised you were tired, the coffee would be very welcome. If they are all the rage then they will sell out asap.
Rest up a little now after your walking and shopping. I will pop the kettle on. I have looked for Shopkins, there is a whole world of them, everything you could imagine, a bit like Barbie and Ken. I like the Donut Cart Naturally.
You are welcome too Christine. I think we will need to take sitting on the warm seats, on a rota.
Mums leg is a lot better. I hope your swooning is too. George doing a good job on the ward.
Not another new hoover, lol. Does she have shares in the vacuum industry? I thought I was bad with getting new ones - we have 4 already. A cordless one that last forever and never needs emptying, wow, good luck with that one.
Oh enjoy the hot stone massage, I bet it is wonderful. Do tell us all about it. I could just do with that on my shoulders. Bliss.
Right, I had better move, well, I have moved a few times already, one has to potter.
Charlie and Duffy are on tonight, we are in safe hands.
I am feeling better for having decaf coffee (ground, just the same), but I know my system feels better for not overdoing the caffeine.
Off out for lunch, well we have to try the car every day, at least once a day.
Everyone take lots of care, keep warm, stay safe. XXXXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Bluecoat school did you say Aidan?  I actually worked there about 30 years ago
Urgent explanation required!! I was house matron in the girl's house.....
Even double yellow lines are fine so long as you are not causing an obstruction. I think your 'space' is purrfect Diddicat said so as she is sat here with me on the table. She said it's too icy out there!
What a great name for the car Miss M! Mine is called Dudley. Lucy's idea - I got her mid chemo treatment Mud flaps are essential and yes go see those chaps in Tesco they do an excellent job
The resting splints poke the palm of your hand a bit and irritate it. Especially with your special dermatitis I can see they wouldn't be great.
I am very pleased to hear that Mum's leg is nearly totally healed. A weary day? Well that's ok everyone is entitled to an off day - and she's clearly back on form now
Sadly the vole died of injuries sustained
At least it didn't get half-eaten. Diddicat has put on weight.
That Church in Hubberholme! It's a lovely one! I can imagine coming out to snow falling. Aren't we lucky sometimes to be alive?
Christine 3 and a half is a lovely age I think. I am sure that being cute she mostly gets what she wants!!
I agree with you the girl Elfie is very likely to want to do some harmless naughty things. Of course that's your job
Oh I had to laugh at your attempt at booties!! 3 different sized ones!! Still think of the effort you put in
The bloomers won't itch if Jean123 knits them I'm sure of it.
Another hoover?? I'm pretty sure they all need charging and emptying
Enjoy that massage
Aw Carol I had a look at the shopkins - how cute I'm glad you got some. Sounds like the shopping trip was productive and agree you totally deserved the coffee

Morning all cold but sunny...
Aiden was a blue coat...I bet he was really good..or did I misread it..we have been to the redcoat one Bu*lins many time but not P*ntins..glad your mums leg is looking a little better ..sorry I m missed this earlier...must say I did feel a bit like a hot kipper..but it was nice Christine can have her go tonight...
Carol has bought prezzies must say never heard of the shopkins but I am behind with toys..I do love shopping for children at Christmas..glad you enjoyed it
Christine i had to laugh at the bootees I did once try them..but didn't get has far has you did.. another hoover for your bosses mum... oh I like the sound of the hotstone massage...hope it left you all relaxed..or have you not had it yet.. :?
Joan how lovely of your friends..I bet the doggies cant wait for there calendar..I love it
Mig I am going to look for this app..I do have a few but not much comes of them..
Toni is enjoying village life so that will do...
I am off out to a friends ..meeting up half way ..at a garden center not my usual one so should be different..see you all later..xxxxLove
Barbara0 -
I hope the temporary garden centre was as good as your usual Barbara
and that you had a good natter and laugh!!
Aidan wasn't a blue coat hahaha! Although I reckon he'd have made a good one . It is a private boarding school in Birmingham I worked there years ago. Looked after Edwina Currie's girls as well as Ozzie Osbourne's original kids.
Joan I can't wait to see snow on the roof of the Church it will be lovely We get Daisycat her usual treats she won't eat anything else!0 -
Aiden, you do need mudguards. Don't want your lovely car getting mucky. Glad mum's leg is almost better and she is feeling better than Wednesday. Oh yes, party lines. I remember them. I always wondered who it was on the same line. Hope Charlie and Duffy look after us tonight and aren't too busy in the store cupboard.
Toni, I wonder if Diddlycat has been eating too many mice and voles. My sister's cat is extremely round. They think she must be eating a few other cats' dinners. You are right. Being 3 and a half does get her most things she wants.
Joan, hope you have a good weekend. How are Sue and the doggies?
Barbara, I see you have had your turn in Aiden's hot seat. Hope the garden centre was as good as your usual one.
I really enjoyed the hot stone massage. My back has been playing up and it helped a lot. Felt a bit dizzy afterwards but that can happen. And I was so starving, I had my tea at 4 instead of between 5 and 6. I've got toothache at the moment. I think the tooth that the others are pushing out has moved again. I've got an appointment in about 4 weeks so I think it's have to go. Hope everyone has a good weekend.Christine0 -
Evening to all - hope everyone is as ok as possible.
Bluecoat in Nottingham Toni, Aspley Road. Not the one in Birmingham. Mig will know where it is - I had a look on Google Maps and it has certainly expanded since I was there - mind you, so have I :?
Glad Diddicat liked the space and you like our Miss M car or SUV or whatever they call them............
Oh dear, poor vole. Injuries sustained. As you rightly say, a whole vole is better than half a vole - I think.
Glad you liked the Church at Hubberholme. It is a magical place, way up in the Dales, just the river and an ancient pub. Don't tell anyone, but the Vicar was a wee bit jealous of my Dad, when Dad took the service, the little Church was packed, when the Vicar took the service, there were about 10 people there - oops I remember one midnight Mass, we sat next to Peter O Tool, Mother kept nudging me - yes Mother, I know, now shhhhhhhhhhhh, lol.
We do count our blessings, we are very fortunate when you consider what is happening in the world today.
After a lovely lunch, we decided not to get the car washed, it was forecast pouring rain  It was nice to have a trip out though and to press all the buttons, again and again
Joan, we are all waiting to see snow on the Church next to Toni's - magical. The motability lease is for three years, for each vehicle, unless you need to change it sooner, due to a change in circumstances. You can keep it for an extra year, if you have had major alterations done, ie ramps, lifts etc. We had to change one of ours once, after about a year, as I had to have extra room for my buggy. Motability are really good, very kind and helpful and all the worry is taken out of owning a car, all you pay for is the fuel. They take you mobility payments, as a kind of lease payment each month.
I was looking at the chocolate advent calendars in Sain---- I liked the one with the bear, is it Lindt. You had a big bear to eat on the 24th and little bears on the other days.
I am sure you doggies love theirs at Christmas. I don't think our pus cats would be impressed with one, they are a wee bit fussy as to what they will eat. If they did one with butter and mayonnaise, that would be fine.
Barbara, you make me laugh too. Imagine me as a holiday host, lol. prancing around in my Blue Coat. Knobbly knees competition, I would win hands down. We had to take you out of the car, you were going puce !!
I do like looking round the toys at this time of year, there is just SO SO much to choose from. Gosh, how times have changed, in a relatively short time span. We had action man, cars, lorries, tonka toys, mechano and lego. That was about it.
Hope you visit to a different garden center was good one. I bet you would still rather be at your fav one. We are the same, lol.
Too late for Miss M to be clean as a new pin Christine, what with mushy leaves and general road muck...........sigh. It will be better with the mud guards on. It is pouring with rain at the moment, so that will wash some of the bits off. I am sure I will be out there with a micro fibre cloth or two, over the week end. We use the water less wash and wax, it is wonderful and so easy.
Glad you enjoyed your hot stone massage. Things like that do tend to make you dizzy. Reflexology always used to make me spaced out for the rest of the day, but it was wonderful. Had to drink lots of water afterwards to remove the toxins.
Hugs for the toothache. I think we will both be having one out pretty soon...........
All is quiet around here, well, apart from more fireworks at the hotel, for a wedding reception. Everyone is in bed - some, one side go to bed before 10 - I would be up by 0100 and that would be it.
We won £4.90 on the Euro, so not sure what to spend it all on, will have to think.
Mum n Dad are popping in for a coffee and a croissant this morning, after they have been to the shop. We are shopped out and reigning things in a bit, it has been a very expensive week. :?
I will away, time to have a little potter. Rain is beating on the windows (the man only came to clean them last week). Never mind. It could be snow and Miss M will not be going anywhere in snow, OH hates driving in it. Nice to look at though.
Ok, I am rambling. Hi to Mig, Carol, Elizabeth, Kath. Dr Kildare and Matron are on for the week end. George is on call, but only for severe swooning episodes. Everyone take lots of care. XXXX Aidan.
XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Erm Christine you have appoint there, but I'm sure Charlie and Duffy are professionals too
Three and a half is a magical age. It's all still ahead of them and they are full of questions, still want to please adults etc
Oh dear I am sorry about the tooth....but very glad the massage helped your sore back. It made you hungry too!!!
Well if you eat your dinner at home and add a couple of vole/field mice heads a day the calories add up. She wouldn't eat anyone else's dinner - too fussy
Blimey that was close Aidan! I thought you were in Harborne!! Were you a Blue coat boy then?
What shall you do with you big win? Mmmm....I wonder a holiday maybe...The Maldives.
Nah a coupe of coffees (almost) decaf for you
Lovely to hear Mum and Dad are popping in for breakfast today. That will stop you going out and spending.
I am like your OH and will never leave the house before snow has thawed. Scary stuff it is :?
Lindt chocolate is NICE chocolate too...sounds tempting. I only stopped getting ours advent calendars last year.
The Hubberholme Church was beautiful! How gratifying that it was full when your own Dad was preaching and your Mum was star-struck too by Peter O'toole (sp). I looked on the Google images and the photos did show a very small community mostly sheep! Our Cris Skezier would have fitted in!
Now I am rambling!
Better get dressed

Hello Barbara Toni Christine Aidan and anyone else I missed.
Barbara have a lovely time with your friend's I hope you like the garden centre.
we have no heating since yesterday if I press the button it comes on for a few mins.
Toni I hope you all have a good weekend. how is Cris Skezier doing I know she works so hard to keep going.
Christine have you tried toothache tincture that helps. I hope you have a good weekend.
Aidan you have a lovely time with your Mum and Dad I hope they are not too bad and your Mums leg. I remember mechano that was good. in the beginning we bought our scooters with the mobility but now we don't as they last over 3 years they have a service every year and they have to be taxed and insured to go on the road.
Hello Mig I just saw you it must be nice to have a farm shop near you. have a good weekend. thank you said to press save this post went back to login but pressing save kept it.

morning to one and all.
Thought I would grab a moment, while the washer and dryer are busy away. Waiting for mum n dad to pop in.
I was a Bluecoat Toni, but not a holiday park one. lol. Mind you, it was a bit like that on the wards sometimes, morning campers. :?
I am sure if Diddicat has a run round with Pepe she will loose a lb or two, before Christmas. Tosca is rather rotund, she hoovers biscuits for fun and if she cannot fit any more in her mouth, she spits them in her water bowl
Yes, the Maldives, second thoughts, no, I don't do planes any more, so it would be Scotland any day of the week. I am sure when we add it to tonight's win, we will be off to a Scottish Castle in no time LOL. A couple of decaf's will be fine. I must admit I feel less jittery since I stopped the mega caffeine hits.
Yes, Mother was a bit star struck, bless her. He was SO tall and Mum was so tiny. He was a very pleasant man. There are a lot of sheep and not a lot of people, so Cris would be well away there. The Churchwarden used to keep rare breeds, he was a retired GP, they lived even further up into the hills, way too remote for my liking, but stunning to visit.
Mig, we will all be round for lunch tomorrow - hope you don't mind. It sounds delicious. There is a farm shop in Skipton, but I was not impressed and the coffee was horrific.
It is misty and wet here too. The pouring rain has stopped, it is just damp. Goose Fair weather as we used to say.
Joan I hope you have your heating fixed as soon as possible. That is not good, you need to keep warm. I know it has warmed up a bit, but you still need heating.
I bought my scooter, it is a portable one and fits into the car when I need it. Most places have scooters to use, like the big shops etc. you can even hire them from a lot of places, for a few hours.
I will potter a while and fuss in the kitchen. Hi to everyone else Barbara Carol Kath Elizabeth and all.
Everyone take care. XXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
I can only go to the farm shop if son or daughter can take me,they do not have a coffee shop, its at Watnall bubbles don't know if you know that way.0

Vaguely Mig, but not a place that I knew well. No coffee shop, how very dare they lol :shock:XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
I'd spend the winnings on something nice to eat Aidan. I've won £120 on the greyhound charity lottery this year but I don't keep it, I couldn't take when there are so many abandoned and abused greyhounds.
Thank you for the heads up about Lindt advent calendars (Lucy's favourite). We missed out last year as all advent calendars sold out. They sell them in Asda and one has just opened in the local high street.
Pork chops here too and we often have home made bread and butter pudding.
The lit-up church is beautiful Toni, what a lovely view from the window. We have just found out the garages next to our house have been sold, others very close by were turned into maisonettes. I have no idea how they intend to get the traffic in and out because its a tiny lane, enough for one car (and runs next to our house).
Still we are hoping to eventually move but at the moment the kids are in school/uni and I don't want to disrupt them.
I couldn't find the 'bootees' story!!!
Ha yes toni Ozzies first set of kids went elsewhere didn't they?
I chucked my resting splints away
I love Saturdays, lie in, footbaqll and radio shows chatting with my friends.Take care all

That made me laugh Elizabeth I enjoyed your post very much and am very glad you had a lovely Saturday
Yes you have to wait until the youngest has finished school don't you before moving.
The bootie story was Christine's (Applerose) attempt at knitting!! She ended up with 3 booties all different sizes!!
Yes Ozzie's kids by his first wife where beautiful kids - their mum was very pretty. I have a photo of me with Jessica somewhere - if it turns up I'll show you.
Aidan was a Bluecoat boy!! Very good education that.
Diddicat will be sent down to you nightly for an hour for Pepe's training sessions. She is due her vaccinations next moth and I dread what they'll say  Mind you they might be pleased as she lost a lot when her teeth were so sore.
Your Mum was tiny! I think I pictured her tiny, maybe something you said before. Cris would have totally been in her element less people more sheep!!
Have you been baking?? this fridge is FULL!!
I have decaf macchiatos on the go and pancakes for anyone who fancies one?
Have you had a caffeine withdrawal headache?
Joan what is wrong with the heating? I hope you have got some help? NOT at all god at this time of year and you and Sue should be priority!
Cris is still being Cris. She still has her sheep and is trying to locate a missing springer pup. Probably stolen for a puppy farm
I know someone else who bought their scooter on mobility. Much better than the cars as they last longer and as you said don't need to return them.
Mig are you ok now? Did George look after you? Paul and I ADORE bread and butter pudding!!

Hello all, hope you are as well as can be.
Question for Matron. Well anyone that can answer really. I keep getting awful burning pain around my hip, knee, ankle and foot, especially my big toe. Emily says from her friend Alex's experienc (she has spine damage) it's nerve pain, and she's been told to keep moving. As walking is very difficult due to the sciatica, what type of movement would you suggest?

Aiden, it is a lovely church. I had a look on youtube and see the Mouseman has left his mark. Your dad obviously gave a very good and interesting service. I've never had any problems before with massage. I am qualified myself and have had 2 people ill after I treated them. The first was when I was a student and was practising on another girl. She didn't tell me she was on medication and ended up in bed for a few days. Once after I qualified, I treated a lady. Before I began I asked her about what she was doing over the weekend and she said she was having a bbq and a few drinks that evening. I told her that if I went ahead with the massage, she wouldn't be able to drink and shouldn't eat too much. She agreed then went ahead and did it anyway. She ended up in bed too. Next time I saw her, she told me she hadn't believed it could make you ill. I have never known a therapist to tell me of contra-actions either before or after which I think is wrong.
Sorry everyone. Don't think I can get past George's picture.
Toni, I read your post when you mentioned me feeling hungry after my massage. The next thing I read was that if you eat your dinner then some vole/mice heads, the calories add up. I thought you meant me. Do you think they might suggest you put Diddycat on a diet? Not sure how you do that with a cat. They'll just get food from elsewhere, won't they? I hope Cris finds the pup and it hasn't been taken to a puppy farm.
Mig, I haven't had bread and butter pudding for a long time. Don't know which I would choose - cream or custard.
Joan, you poor things. You must be freezing. Hope you can get the heating fixed very soon. I haven't got any toothache tincture but I should maybe get some just in case I need it again. Just read your other post and your heating has been fixed. Glad you'll be warm now.
Elizabeth, there was a tiny piece of land right at the end of our High Street. They are building 7 houses and they are tiny and the pavement will only be a couple of feet wide and there is nowhere for their cars to park as it is a very busy road. It's crazy, isn't it? It was me who tried to knit bootees when my GS was born and ended up with 3 single bootees all different sizes. Glad you enjoyed your Saturday doing things you like to do.
Kath, I don't know what the burning can be but it sounds terrible. I hope you can find out what it is and get something done about it.
Barbara, I think Jack Osbourne has MS. I seem to remember it being mentioned a while back. Glad you enjoyed your time with your friend. Too much cake now and again is ok.
I've recorded a few Xmas/Sunday type films but my tivo box is almost full so I've been trying to watch as much as possible today to make some room. Got all my washing done and dried so that's the ironing pile a bit bigger.Christine0 -
Evening to one and all, late that I am. Nothing new there then.
Yes Elizabeth I will spend the £5 on cakes Keep up the standards.
I worked with one Sister, who was a great friend, she had greyhounds from the rescue center. They had been so badly treated it was shocking, but she got them better and back into fine form. The times that we were out walking on the hills and they would be off like rockets - with us two trying to round them up.............
There are quite a few Greyhound Rescue shops and any money raised to help them, is money well spent. They are such lovely dogs, no trouble at all, they love to lounge about.
Yes, best buy the Advent Calendars before they sell out, maybe a few, just in case.
Hope you had a good Saturday, with a lay in, then football and chatting with friends. Sounds like a good plan.
I was a Bluecoat Boy Toni, I managed to get all my O levels to get into Nursing, then did a years A level and walked out, lol. Went to America with a school friend, for a few months, then started my nurse training. The teachers at Bluecoat were very strict, but it did us no harm.
It was nice to see Diddicat, but she was eating Tuna, with Pepe, so I don't think this evenings training went very well. Tuna, then a quick nap on the bed.
Mum was very tiny, less than 5 foot and never weighed more than 6 stone. How on earth she gave birth to me, I will never know. I did ask once, why I didn't have any Brothers or Sisters - there was a firm reply "one was more than enough".
No, no baking, but I did send an order through from Mark's, with every possible cake in the shop, that should get us started for the week ahead
I will take the decaf and the pancakes, thank you. I had one shot of normal coffee today and was ok. It will be decaf whenever we are out. No, I have not had any headaches - mind you, with the amount of pills I shovel in, it's a wonder I know my head from my elbow.
Good to hear that Cris is still looking after the sheep, terrible that the puppy has gone missing. People will stop at nothing, to steal anything. Let's hope it turns up, poor mite.
Joan I am glad that you heating has been fixed. Ours goes off if the pressure drops, needs a tweak with the screwdriver to boost it and then it is away. Mind you, it has warmed up a bit over the past day or two. Dial a Ride is very good, then lending a scooter once you are in town. Love to both and to the doggies.
Yes, Kath, Matron here..............well, nerve damage does cause a whole range of problems, pins and needles, loss of sensation, pain in the joints. If it something like sciatica then it is best not to sit too long, the same goes for spinal damage through OA or RA, which in turn causes most of the above. Staying in one position aggravates things and sitting with your feet up on a big footstool is a big no no, that just puts extra stress on the nerve damage. Pottering about, gentle leg movements, rotating your feet in circles, pulling up your toes, pointing your toes. Pain dullers and keeping your legs supported in bed is important too, with a knee pillow etc, otherwise your legs go out of line and that pulls on your nerves and back. Lots of Arnica Gel will help, plus it is nice and cooling. SBC are about the best make, you can get them on Amazon or QVC, we have a big dispenser of it, at all times.
I hope that helps a little. Extra hugs
Steady away now Barbara, George is doing all he can to cope with the swooning outbreak. Christine and Mig have both come down with it as well.
Yes, Mum and Dad love the car. We went out with them the other day, to the garden center. It is not far away, only a mile or so. The croissants were lovely on Sat morning.
So you are wanting to be on the move, as well as Elizabeth, us two too. When the ship comes in and we win a huge amount. Mind you, that could take a 1000 lifetimes. But, you never know what is around the corner, or what doors can open.
There is no such thing as too much cake Barbara, not in this cafe. glad you had a good time with your friend and had a good laugh.
Yes Christine, St Michael and All Angels is a lovely Church. Indeed the Mouseman did a lot of the carvings on the chairs and pews. Sadly, people have stolen some of them, so they have had to bolt them to the floor. How could they. Shame on them.
I don't think people realise how much holistic treatments can affect them - it is important to know your client and what treatment they are on etc. If they don't heed advice, then so be it, but many treatments get rid of a lot of toxins and your body needs to rest afterwards, with plenty of water to drink.
Now, did you get past George's picture, good. Then we can move on :?
More houses popping up in every available spot, it is just the same in town, people selling their big gardens and then three houses appear. We have one development due to start of over 1000 houses, that is on top of the 100's they have already built. People protest, but it seems to fall on deaf ears.
I thought Jack Osborne had MS as well. I did like it when he did all those challenges, climbing things and other crazy activities. He lost a lot of weight.
Hope you managed to catch up on your viewing. We have loads of things to watch, now we are on Sky Q. Every place in the sun, escape to the country, property programmes, etc etc, plus a few movies.
We have had a fairly quiet week end. I made two big cups of T Saturday and promptly knocked them both flying on the kitchen top. It was like a lake of T.  OH helped me mop up. The second lot I was extra careful, I was determined not to be beaten.
Sunday we gave Miss M a waterless wash and wax and she is gleaming like a new pin. Of course it rained as soon as we had finished..............c'est la vie. At least the rain will bead off like water off a duck.
Washing and drying done, no more accidents of the T variety. Cats are all fast asleep.
I had better move. I might have to turn the fire off, I am roasting.
Everyone take care, the tin of hugs is full again. George is on again tonight, then Matron takes over. Swoon while you have the chance.
Take care XXXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Morning all
Aidan, George has gone now so the swooning fever should ease off.
Diddicat told me she had been very busy with Pepe! Lots pf strenuous exercise  I thought she didn't look any slimmer
Of course you'd get your O levels easily with that sort of education. Sounds like you'd had enough by A's though I have another friend did exactly the same and she did just fine too One of the Mums of the injured Yorkie. Who has started physio!!!
I should think your Mum didn't want anymore babies  Bless her.
Of course painkillers will mask the decaf headache. Anyway if you have the odd caffeinated you should be fine. Cake order in well done
Talking of holistic therapies I read this morning about a lady who died after some sort of Chinese treatment said to cure diabetes. I wonder whether she stopped taking her insulin
Christine we think the puppy was taken to a puppy farm yes as she was female. It was November 2014 and still she hasn't been found Cris can't let it lie bless her.
Hopefully they won't put Daisycat on a diet as you say it would be difficult. She still eats the same at home, but the voles and mice must be adding up. Pease don't eat them yourself or you will need worming too!
My ironing pile has grow too, but it will have to wait - I have the hairdresser this morning and Lucy tomorrow
VERY interested to read how massage can have effects if you aren't sensible :?
Barbara welcome back! We have missed you. Jack is from Ozzie's 2nd marriage and he does indeed have MS. Very unlucky, but he is positive as he has a young family too. I knew his original kids.
I reckon Aidan would have made a good blue coat too!!! Hehehe!! We'd have had to get up and join in (streaks of 'Matron' would still be there!).
I am glad to hear you had a good time with your friend. One of mine will be over later after I have had my hair done
Poor you Kath ((())) Aidan's range of movement advice is sound I am sure I hope it will ease a bit for you. xxx
Joan I am glad they prioritise you and Sue and you have heating again. Did the boiler need some water let in then? Is it a combi boiler.
Right onwards and upwards for me
Love
Toni xxx0 -
