Hello Mig Barbara Kathleen Carol Toni Christine Aidan and anyone else I missed.
Mig i'm glad you enjoyed it they are both good singer's.
Barbara do you have breathing problems. thank you for the picnic it was a lot better than what I had cauliflower cheese that was hard (I think that's how they cook it now) carrots peas. water for my tabs coffee and a bottle of apple blackcurrant. I had the injection and a scan then I had to have dinner for 2 hours and go and have the other scan that was a nuclear one so when I go to the toilet I have to pull the chain twice.
Kathleen lovely poem very true no one knows about bad pain till they have it.
Carol i'm pleased you are feeling better I hope you get the money for the walker.
Toni yes thank you Barbara's picnic was good. I will know in about a week. how are you.
Christine is it your granddaughter coming in the beginning of December.
Aidan you go care full when you go out. how are your mum and dad doing.
    take care all thank you

It's good to read all your news and have a chuckle at the cats sprawled on the chair!

I'm sorry to see Lucy's other hip is hurting. It's never ending.

Applerose that was so sweet of your GD. I think parents can be so tired or busy whereas GP's (Grandparents) spend a little more time listening. Not saying that they don't but with work and travelling it can take it out of parents.

I think respite has been resolved now, A boy attacked Dan at night, punched him, threatened him and pulled his hair and he is still upset so I don't want to send him back. I'm happy having him at home.

Does anybody have any ideas what to do with old coats? I've got boxes of them and all in vgc and I'd like to pass them on to those in need and can't really afford new.

I need to post and come back later...love to all

Aiden, it was quite stormy here last night too. Almost no leaves on the trees now and small branches everywhere. The river was very high but not nearly as bad as some places. It's nice to hear that mum is still enjoying going out for coffee and cakes. Yes, I think it is time to start getting ready for the big day. I've got some things but still don't know what I'm getting my Aussie GC.

Mig, hope hubby's hearing aid was as it should be and you enjoyed your lunch and shopping trip.

Joan, hard cauliflower cheese? Doesn't sound very appetising. A nuclear scan? Hope it wasn't painful or uncomfortable for you. It's my daughter, her husband and my two GC who are coming over from Australia. They'll get to my sil's dad's on Boxing Day then come to mine just after New Year.

Elizabeth, sounds as if you're having a bad time with not sleeping. It knocks you for six, doesn't it? Hope tonight is better. Poor Dan. That must have been very scary for him. No wonder he is still upset and you don't want to send him back. I'm sure any charity shop would take the coats or how about the Salvation Army? I think they give them directly to the homeless.

Kath, no need to apologise for your poem. It was very good and we all understand what it's about.

Barbara, I noticed huge amounts of leaves on the paths and small branches dotted everywhere after the rain and wind last night but I know it was nowhere near as bad as some places. I can't imagine what it must be like to lose everything. Hope it was nothing important from your GP or at least nothing bad.

Today's T*sc* bargain - I've already bought advent calendars for 3 GC but saw some which had been reduced from £3 to £1.50 so got 2 to send to Australia. The check-out charged me the full £3 each so I asked one of the girls about it. She took me to the customer services where they gave me back what I'd been overcharged and, as is their policy, gave me the same amount again. This meant I got the calendars for free. :D

    Hi all
Toni yes knitting like crazy now need as need to get 2 more presents for sister and brother in law, finish knitting the baby things by the 8th December when mr turbo goes down to margate to take the presents to them. and so looking forward to seeing some pics of new baby to tied me over till I get down there in the new year.

Applerose Yes pain and injuries a lot better now still have some bruises so still some tender areas

Aidan yes unfortunately pain is an ever present companion and most of the time I am determined not to let get on top of me however sometimes it dose. I have 12 days to finish all the knitting for new baby. the cakes were yummy by the way.:lol: keeping fingers crossed that council may give me something but it wont be too long before I have the money for the new walker as I have saved any extra money and now am halfway there. with 2 more dla payments and my company pension in before Christmas so I reckon that by the end of December I will have the new one.
as far as the baby in concerned I am now just waiting to hear the news that she has gone into labour and hoping the little madam will soon decide she wants to appear although due date is 19th December from what I hear she could be born anytime now.

Toni yes much better thank you and keeping fingers crossed where there walker is concerned.

Barbara I am halfway there with the money for the one I want and should have the rest by mid December. and if council give me anything that will be extra.
    Stay positive always👍xx

    Morning everyone :)

Carol I am glad to hear you are recovered from your fall. It's a shame you can't go down with Mr Turbo for a sneaky cuddle ;) Mind you photos are good too - my Charley was born two and a half months early I had a polaroid the nurse took for me which I kissed and kissed while I was trapped on the 6th floor and her in neonatal.

    c020.gif there you are ;)

Christine the kids in Australia? Oh dear tell us how old they are maybe we can help???

Well done you getting your advent calendars cheap (free???) what a bargain :)

All our leaves are gone here now. That mini tornado last week did it I think although half a dozen had hung on ;)

    No girl-elfie photo???

Barbara I hope it's not anything serious from the doctors....tests? Have you had any recently?? It is a worry I wish they wouldn't do that. For me once it was when I had the blood test when I was regnant with Lucy. The results gave 1:16 chance of having downs syndrome. Then after every X-ray I have ever had done, which I suppose I expect.

Elizabeth no way can you send Dan back. He wouldn't feel safe would he? The poor poor lad ((())) :(

Can they supply a night sitter instead sometimes so you can go out with OH or the other kids - assuming you are up to it??? It had been helping with the quality of the rest of your lives so it's just so unfair :(

Thank you - Lucy sees the hip consultant next week so we'll see what he says.

I am sure old coats would be very very useful for homeless people and what about women's aid if some are kid's coats???

You sound exhausted and must crash when your body makes you until this bout of fatigue passes ((()))

Kath - no need to apologise about the poem it just strikes a chord with most of us I suspect and we know just how bad it is for you ATM :(

Have left you a gentle masseur on the window-seat if it helps?

It was a nuclear scan then Joan? You will be radioactive!! At least it will give them the information they need.
Don't want to radiate anyone using the loo after you I suppose.
We'll be waiting for your results.

I am ok still got a sore foot, but ok thanks. :)

Mig I hope you didn't get wet and Lidl was worth the visit? We don't have one here have to go to Lichfield.

Aidan - it is fabulous that Andy Murray is number 1 - he has really worked hard for it :)

There's room for you away from the fire too and with the view of the Church. Don't forget the window seat (sometimes Kath is there don't sit on her;) )

Yes our old road looked a bit tacky once they'd all got going. I think some people think it shows how well-off they are  I think it doesn't!!! Shows bad taste, BUT I do like seeing lights on trees, and sometimes blow-up santas etc...smaller ones. I want light up garden reindeer too, but maybe next year see what they do.

Good idea leaving lights on for each other. A this time of the year when it's dark by 4 :(

Diddicat made t back safely yes the winds were blowing in large circle, but crash-landed into the pond!!! Straggle-puss!!!

So glad to hear Mum is out and about enjoying her cake and coffees :) Really good :)

    must get on

    Love to everyone

    Toni xxx

    Hello all
went out with my niece and her half sister..so had a lovely meal and a laugh..and nothing serous at the docs just the pain clicns letter about putting up the pregablin..
Carol glad you will have the walker for Christmas..if anyone buys you anything tell them you wouldn't mind a donation..much better than buying something you dont want, or am I being cheeky ..we did it one year for my brothers wheelchair..sorry you wont get to see the bay till the new year but photos to treasure and something to look forward to
Toni it was nothing serous thankyou..see up above..how scary that must have been for you when expecting Lucy all that worry...I remember my OH coming home with a father Christmas on a bicycle..around 4ft tallI hated it and he got sick of going on the garage roof..so we sent it to the charity shop... :D
Christine good for you getting the calender's for nothing, we have found this over charging is getting more and more..ice cream in M&* reduced form £3 60 to £2 40...but guess what when we went to the till..they are always on the best side.better get our thinking caps on for presents for Australia

It was worth the visit Toni I got some smoked haddock fish cakes which were delicious, beef pie, salad and fresh veg and I was naughty I got smoked salmon which usually buy for a special day treat and hubby got a bottle of irn bru for 45p a 2litre bottle at that. One is being built in our local area so I won't have to rely on my daughter taking me but it will be a bit yet.
Im fed up with all this rain gardens all soggy.

Once more, late as always..........but, you cannot be out and about and at home at the same time, so the days just vanish into thin air.

Joan I hope you are not as radioactive now - I remember having a radioactive cardiac stress test, it was not pleasant. I had to stay away from children for a few days. :? We will await the results now and take things from there. Hope you and Sue are ok, as well as the doggies. Keeping warm. Mum and Dad are ok. Mum is feeling ok at the moment, so we are spending time out and about, lunches, coffee's, cakes, shopping................a bit tiring, but we like going out in the new car 8) 8)

Sorry to hear you have not been sleeping well Elizabeth. As an incurable insomniac, I can sympathise completely. I guess it does not matter when you get some rest, daytime is often a better time to sleep for a lot of people. Night times can seem long and weary if you are awake. The more you try to sleep, the harder it gets. You have a things going on that will whirl round in your mind, as I am sure you know well. The worry that you had about Dan being bullied must be terrible, for all concerned. I am sure you are more than happy to have Dan at home.
I am sure the charity shops would be grateful for coats that are no longer needed. Now that it is coming to winter, people will be out looking for warmer coats. My late mum always found lovely coats at the charity shops.

Hi Barbara - Cats, well, they are certainly characters all of their own. They do get into the most odd positions which look SO uncomfortable. Pepe likes to loll on the back of the sofa and nosey at next door. At the moment he is crammed in with Cookie the Siamese. There is plenty of room elsewhere, but no, he has to sit on top of her. She is pretty easy going, no spitting feathers.
We did have a good visit to Skipton, a wet visit, but enjoyable none the less. It was pretty quiet, which was nice - Skipton can be uber busy, especially on market days.
I heard about the floods in Manchester, terrible. I think we came of lightly, compared to many.
Glad that the news from the surgery was a straight forward message. What dose do you take? Have I asked before? If I have, ignore me............senior moments
Good that you went out with family, I know you enjoy your neice's company, lots of laughs and good food. A good tonic.

We did buy some Christmas Cards Christine, so we have made a start, lol. I put them straight into the cupboard, lol. I will get round to doing them over the next week or so.
I am not good with ideas for youngsters, we always get vouchers for our younger family members, not inspiring, but they can get what they fancy then. You will be excited to see them all, for New Year.
You did well at Tesco, we had the same thing, they have to give you back the same value and refund the amount already paid, I cannot remember what it was, but we got it for nothing. Ideal to have free Advent calendars.

Hi Carol, those needles must be nearly on fire, with all the knitting. Two weeks either way is quite normal, so anytime now is a pretty good guess. Hope mum and baby are ok. It will be lovely to go see them for the New Year.
Not long till you get your new walker and if the council cough up a little assistance, then even better. So they should. Discomfort and pain are a great annoyance and very draining. It turns everything upside down, far more than people realise.

Hi Toni, I think we have all your leaves.........we don't normally get many, but this year they seem to have gathered from the trees all around and the millions of pine needles are driving me batty. Everywhere is covered in them, decking, roof tops, cars
grrrrrrrrr - the more you sweep them, the more they stick !!
Charlie was an early bird, always a difficult time when Mum is in one area and little tiny one is in another.
Glad that Lucy will be seeing the Consultant soon, to let him impart his knowledge of all things ortho.
We are a little lost now that the ATP tour is in the off season. Mind you, it is the Davis cup final from Friday to Sunday, so that will be good. The we watch all the winter sports, ski jumping, nordic combined, slalem, just love to see real snow.............oh I would love to go to northern Norway or Finland, to just take a little wander through snow covered forests - I would end up in a heap, I am sure.......................maybe one day  :?
The window seat is fine and I apologise for sitting on Kath, I didn't squish her, but there was a loud squeak  :o
A white Reindeer in the garden would be nice, white lights in the trees, clean and bright. Flashing neon blue is just dreadful and makes my eyes go funny.
Neighbour is away for a few days so we are on guard and keeping an eye, moving post etc. I know some people think that everyone is nosey, but I would rather that, than have something go amiss. If we are not in by dark, neighbours are twittering, lol. Bless.

Good to hear that Miss Slim Diddicat made it back home in a rush of wind. A pond landing is not good.
Mum is doing well - hence we are out and about...........must get on with some house chores in the next day or two, not that we are in a tip by any means, but I am getting withdrawals from not pottering and fussing.

Sounds like you are well stocked up Mig. We have a lidl near us, but we rarely go in. A little treat is more than acceptable, at any time, smoked salmon if just fine. Bargain with the Irn Bru. They do some good electrical items, we might have to pop in soon and have a nosey. Nosey normally means expensive though. Yes, the gardens are all soggy and need a good tidy up, getting the time to do it is another thing, not that I do it, but I do make T.

Well, it is now early morning, so I had better move myself. Hattie and Dr Kildare are on duty. George is still in Italy on Lake Como.

Everyone take lots of care. XXXX Aidan

Phew!!! I am relieved Barbara :) Every time someone mentions pregablin I think of our Cris skezier and her singing trees!!!

A lovely meal out with your niece and her half sis too :)

I agree with you about Carol though suggesting donations towards her walker for Christmas

Do you remember when we got Paul's Mum one years ago for her birthday?

    I wrapped it up

    th_galaxy%20nov%202012%20695.jpg

So she had to guess what it was :)

Mig I went to Lichfield yesterday and the Lidl is now an Aldi :( Why not treat yourself eh? The prices are low enough so you can have something like smoked salmon! As far as we know we only live once! The wet weather is encouraging the moles :(

Hi Aidan I am the same if I don't have time to titivate the house for too many days I get a bit panicky!! My friend helped us clean when Lucy was in the hospital all the time with her chemo else I would have worried about that as well.

Such good news though that Mum is well enough to get out and about :)

Miss Diddicat said I have to post this picture - apparently it shows her best side
    th_phonemay2013004.jpg

The utter indignity of a pond-landing indeed. She doesn't want you picturing that :x

I think it's good to know neighbours are keeping an eye for me on my house and vice versa!

I think Kath probably doesn't mind at all sharing the window-seat with you. Just take the meds trolley with you incase she needs it :)

What is going on at Lake Como then to keep George so long???

I am glad you have the winter sports to keep you going. I think you are like my brother with snow....turns into a 6 year old when it snows. I get phone calls any time day or night!!! but it's not great for driving :( One day maybe you might get to Finland or Norway - see the lights??

    Right better get on ;)

    Love to everyone.

    Hope Joan isn't still radioactive!!

That picture does show Miss Diddicat's profile in all her glory :) We will draw a veil over the pond landing.

    wet-cat-3.jpg

Wet pus cats are never best pleased. Siamese don't tend to be bothered too much, Cookie was sat in the sink one day, in the washing up bowl that was full of water. Strange. I know Turkish Vann do love water and will jump in the bath at the drop of a hat, for a swim round.

I do remember that picture of the walker, all wrapped up, seems a long time since.
Did you manage to get anything while you were in Lidl that is now Aldi....... :?
We all need treats, at regular intervals, to maintain an even balance. Well, that's my motto. 8)
I have had a fuss round, nothing too strenuous, OH has been outside as he could not stand looking at another leaf. Rake out, brush, bin bag, all neat and tidy again, until the wind blows. Some of the pine needles have been washed and swept off the decking, but I know they are lurking on the roof, waiting to blow down.........
Good of your friend to help out while Lucy was having her treatments. I know ours would do the same. Been round to pick up the post, make sure all is ok.
George has a large property on the shores of Lake Como, not that we have been invited  I think it is a swoon free area, hence the security guards.
You are right, I love snow, proper snow, not the slushy mess that we tend to get. Snow that buries the fir trees until you see only their outline - just magical.

    Snow-covered-trees-in-Kuusamo-winter-575940_1600_1200.jpg

I would have to be so wrapped up with only my eyes visible, but I would throw myself into the snow and hope it was not 10 foot deep.

One day, we might just go for it and head to the northern lights.

Joan you are having trouble with your computers, I hope someone can help you sort them out. It is quite straightforward, but it would take a long time to explain it in writing. Leaving hugs to you all, doggies too.

Carol I hope you are ok, not in too much pain. That goes for you too Kath and Elizabeth I hope you managed to sleep better.
Hi to Barbara and Mig too.
Right, pill time and maybe nudge the heating up again. It has gone really cold this afternoon, lovely sunshine though.

    Oh poor Joan :(

I wish Aidan lived around the corner from you, as his OH could fix your computer like that. Can you get online on your phone?

    Aidan
that is one cute wet cat. Adorable. Yes Turkish cats swim don't they Daisy likes drinking from taps and doesn't mind getting wet at all. Perhaps Cookie was too hot??

Daisycat wanted me to post this pic of her with my seedlings a year or so back. She apparently looks sleek in it!

    th_galaxynov2012617.jpg

Glad all is well with your neighbours property. Reassuring for them and discourage any burglars.

Yes pure white snow untouched by foot or paw...actually paw-prints look cute don't they? Within day it's a filthy mush in this country isn't it?

That explains Lake Como especially as George has guards there to protect him from swooners ;)

Carol, not long now till the baby arrives. You must be excited. Hope you do get some help for your new walker and don't have to wait too long for it.

Toni, my Australian GS is 5 and my GD is 4. I've been told pokemon and shopkins. All I can find are pokemon cards and the shopkins 'building' I suggested is a bit flimsy. Problem is there's not a lot to choose from on the Oz websites. Look who's sitting there flicking through the channels.
    DSC_2345_zpsbhfc96w3.jpg

Barbara, they must realise people worry when the GP phones but doesn't say what it's about. At least it wasn't anything bad. I picked up a pony castle from Arg*s yesterday. It had been reduced from £40 to £17.50 but they charged me the full price and what a hassle they had to change it on the till. Makes you wonder how many people bought a few things and didn't notice they'd been overcharged. Glad you enjoyed being with your niece and her half sister.

Mig, it sounds as if you got a few nice things on your shopping trip. 45p for irn bru? Wonder how they manage to make it so cheap.

Aiden, is the radioactive heart test the one which makes your heart go like the clappers then slows it back down (sort of a half life thing)? If it is, I've had one too. I remember it being very unpleasant and I was told to move my legs as if I was running so my brain didn't get confused. They even counted down the seconds and it stopped when they got to zero. Amzing but a bit scary. Hope you don't forget where you put the Xmas cards. That's something I would do. A white reindeer sounds good. My eyes can't stand any flashing lights. They are so irritating. One house round the corner had flashing lights all over the outside and around the walls inside. I dread to think what it was like in there. Had to giggle at the poor wet **** cat. I shouldn't really. I'm sure it wasn't pleasant. How beautiful is the snowy picture. It looks wonderful.

Toni, no idea what you got for Paul's mum's birthday. Love the pic of Diddycat. Hope she didn't get too wet when she crash landed.

Joan, you seem to be having a few problems with the internet. Hope you can get them sorted out.

I checked the postage on the post office site and found for what the advent calendars weighed, it would be about £3.50 to send them to Oz. I wrapped up them up and took them to the post office where they told me it would actually be £11.50 so they'll have to wait till they come here to get them.

oh indeed, Miss Slimkins Diddicat. Very nice, assisting with the potting of seeds.
We would help Joan sort out her tablet and computer problems, we are, well, OH is a whizz with computers, all self taught, over the years.
Paw prints in snow are lovely, birdie ones too, as they hop through. Amazing to think that of all the billions of snowflakes, not one is the same as the other. Mind boggling.
Yes, George was a little tired from the swooning outbreak, but I am sure he will recover in time for his week end shifts. His private jet is on its way over tomorrow. Bless, eh.

Hi Barbara, that's very kind of your niece to come and do some fussing for you. I totally get what you mean when you are not one to sit and watch - it is very difficult at times, when you so want to do something and cannot.
Pepe has just gone to sit on Cookie, but she was not having any of it and spit and feathers kicked off. She was fast asleep bless her - he is naughty, wanting the ready warmed spot. You would think we lived in an igloo, not a heated home, with every possible comfort for the puskins pleasures.
We have seen the Ice Hotel, I think Joanna Lumley spent the night there and had to take off umpteen layers, as she was so warm. I did look at the price once, only once, it was thousands for a few nights, including flights. Maybe give that a miss, unless we win big.
Ohh, a new laptop, well, that will be very nice - maybe an early Christmas Present. I was wondering if you had been working on the laptop front, obviously it has worked.

Christine, what a lovely Elf, he is so cute :) Which channel did you end up watching ??

Shopkins seem very popular at the moment, as do hatchimals (they are selling like hot cakes apparently). Just looked at the price, £60 each  :o They hatch out of their egg, not sure what they do then........... :?
I have no idea about Pokemon, apart from everyone hunting them down on their smartphones.......sorry, not my idea of fun, although, it would be an excuse to have extra trips out in the car,
You did well on the Arg-- buy, even better to spot the error and get it sorted. It seems to happen more and more, we were overcharged the other day in Holland and B, I rang them and they said pop in next time and we will credit you - not much, but, pounds add up.
The radioactive test was done on the treadmill Christine. I had to get to my max heart rate, then they injected me with radioactive dye and just about threw me onto the x ray scanner, that took loads of pictures to see what damage had been done to my heart. The one where you are stationary is not pleasant either and can make people quite faint and sick. I would not have one of them either. Angiogrammes, yes, I am ok with them, after so many.......but drugs that make my heart go like the clappers, not a chance.
Oh flashing lights in the front room, I could not even go in............Instant nausea.
That is a big difference in the price online and the price at the post office - they won't mind waiting, they can eat all the chocolates at once then, which is even better :D

Coffee and cakes this morning, plus pay for our two armchairs. Gulp. Never mind, they will last us a long time. We already have some lovely throws for them, just to protect the leather, from pus cats claws.

Right, I had better write back to my Cousin, who has arrived safely back home to France.

Hi and hugs to everyone else, Elizabeth, Kath, Mig, Carol and all....Take care, keep warm, it is going mighty chilly now.

Hattie has a cold, so Sister Duffy is on instead, so we are all safe XX Aidan

Christine can you daughter buy the presents for you in Aus rather than you struggle from here? You could send the money and card and gift tag instead???

Got to be shopkins :) I love them!!!

The walker was a few years ago for my MIL when we were at the 'old house'! She did guess so we let her have it!!!

The girl-elfie is adorable she has such a sweet face :) I think any mischief she gets up to will be accidental. I'm sure of it :?

I had a nuclear heart stress test after my back surgery many years ago. I cant remember too much about it except it made me really hot when they put the stuff in.

Flashing lights are not nice are they? I worry they'll set of seizures in people :(

Barbara Cris did have a way with words - still does! She has written stuff but doesn't have the confidence to get it published.

I am so glad a lap-top might be coming to you for Christmas :) Yippee!!

No watching someone else do your work isn't easy, but I know your niece doesn't mind - who wouldn't want to help such a lovely Aunty? :)

Oh Dear Aidan poor Hattie. I hope Duffy won't be texting Charlie all the time!! I am glad to hear George is on his way fully recovered!!!

Hatchimals?? Ooooh they sound seriously cute, but £60  People will be forced to buy cheap imports off auction sites

Charley and her gf went through a pokemon hunting phase, but soon got bored.

Good to hear you are paying your debts (chairs!) and hope that means they will be in your l room soon??

Enjoy the coffee and cakes. Please may I have one? Something festive - you choose I'm not fussy ;)

Morning Joan Daisycat does look lovely thank you. Not so sweet when she brings me a dead vole...or a live one!!! Is your computer still ill??

Love to everyone else I hope all is well. Particularly Kath and Elizabeth who are both struggling.

Hello all. Typing this while sitting in bed. Just about managed a few hours awake and went to w**tr*s* as had another money off voucher which runs out this weekend. I've just realised I forgot to buy another lovely salted caramel cake-thats because OH was steering me away from the final few aisles and now I know why (he's not a cake fan).
Loving the cat photo's. Aidan somebody was not amused!

Lucy had pokemon cards for her birthday-You can buy them online. She and her friends did do the 'phone' thing during the summer hols but it soon tailed off.

That was a good reduction for the pony castle Christine. I bought one for the Niece 2 years ago as a surprise and she absolutely loved it. We've also got an original one from the 80's/90's my eldest 2 girls were big My little pony fans so I've kept them all in the attic.

I remember the wrapped present Toni :D . Good luck for Lucy's hip consultation.

Joan sorry about your laptop. The blue screen usually means a problem with loading I think. I luckily have a computer fixer up the road.

    Kath hope you are okay.

Barbara Ihope GD is enjoying London. My Charlie has moved and now she and her bf have their first home alone without having to share with others.

Well we've done 993 miles in our car already! :D Still no sign of those pip forms Aidan.

Evening to one and all, hope everyone is keeping warm, very frosty here tonight.
I hope you get your laptop working Joan, a blue screen is not always the end of its working days, wish we were there to sort it out for you, you could borrow mine with pleasure.
The test you mentioned is to put the heart back into normal sinus rhythm, cardioversion. That is where they give you a short acting general anaesthetic then stop your heart briefly and shock it back into normal rhythm. It is quite a scary time for patients, but it is soon done and works well. I have not had one of them, the ones that we mentioned are to see how the heart is functioning when it is under stress, you can walk - well, run, on a treadmill, or have the drugs that speed up your heart. Neither are particularly pleasant. I remember saying to the Cardiac Dr in France, when they did the stress test, "stop the treadmill or I will die" He said, no you won't, I can see exactly what your heart is doing, carry on !!!  They did stop soon after as I was creating such a fuss
Mum and Dad are doing ok, we have been out for coffee and cakes, maybe a bit too much coffee, as I was a wee bit on the ceiling. :?

I worry about those flashing lights too Toni, how people can have them all round the windows and on the tree and round the room, all going manic. It would easily bring on a seizure if you had the predisposition.
I don't think Duffy was texting all night, she was keeping an eye on Elizabeth and Kath, making sure they were as comfortable as possible.
George will be back on for the week end, along with Nurse Gladys Emanuel. Everyone will be well looked after.
I keep seeing the hatchimals in online adverts, they are pricey.
I think my Niece is still hunting Pokemon's when she is out and about, but I think the huge craze has calmed down a bit, with everyone out hunting blobs and things...........crazy.
Yes, the armchairs are paid for, in full, in cash :) I did hand it over reluctantly, like let me keep half, pleeeeease. They should be here within a week or so and the other armchairs will go to the British Heart Foundation.
A festive cake, well, Nero's do a gingerbread muffin, which is rather yummy. They also have some very nice mince tarts, with cream.
Hugs to all and fusses to Miss Slimkins :)

Hi Barbara - we were bathed in sunshine for most of the day too, cold, but bright. Very pleasant.
I am sure you will get your new laptop, especially if it is getting too heavy, no time like the present and I am sure your GD will love your other one.
You do right being on the war path against rip off prices being charged at the till. I try and keep a beady eye, but things go through so fast sometimes, that you loose track and then never look at the receipt.
Yes, Pepe and Cookie, they are on the sofa and Tosca (Pepe's Mother) is on the back of the armchair. They will have a shock when the armchairs go, as the new ones do not have squishy backs, to nestle into. So, it will be a fight for the sofa. There are umpteen other places to doze, but, they all want to be in the same spot.............big trouble, as Mother does not like her Son at ALL.
We did have some cheap leather wipes and they were terrible. We use the Lord Sheraton ones now, or the gel cleaner from Mark's, which is very good.
Hope you managed to get out and about. Oh, are we house moving, should I get the boxes and the bus ready. lol.

Oh how terrible to be moved away from the cake aisle Elizabeth - not fair at all. I will have words.
I am not sure how many miles we have done in the car, I will have to look, a few hundred I guess. PIP has not arrived yet, but I am waiting, I am sure it won't be long. Let's hope they have forgotten. Some chance. Hope you manage to get some good sleeps.

Kath I hope you are not in too much pain, sending abundant hugs.
Hi Mig, hope you are ok, is Nottingham all festive with the lights on, I used to like the ones over the bridge walkway at Victoria Center.
Hi Carol, hope you are ok and that you are winning with the Council.

Right, the dryer has stopped and will start beeping in a minute, so I will go see what is ready.
Everyone take lots of care. XXXX Aidan
