    Evening everyone.

A quick pop in as my tooth is still hurting. No improvement since Thursday and if anything slightly worse. Am almost convinced there is some nerve damage and not a dry socket as the socket is pretty much healed. Me thinks I'll be calling the hospital tomorrow.

Had a lovely pre wedding photo shoot today despite some grimace-Smiling through the tooth pain.

Decided not to take Methotrexate on Friday. Was going to take it tonight but not sure I'm going to. Need as much healing power in my mouth.

    Will try catch up later.

good evening to one and all - it is very bright out tonight with a lovely moon
    full-moon-vedic-astrology.jpg?1458592427

I really enjoyed California Arizona Death Valley, the national parks, Yosemite was fab, as was the grand canyon and red rock canyon. The most stunning was Bryce Canyon at sunrise, it was jaw dropping. I think we drove over 3000 miles on that trip. Las Vegas was just crazy, but great fun.
I did spend a long time in New York, but that is like Florida, hot and humid
Google Bryce Canyon Barbara, you will get some lovely images of it.
Yes, Murray is out, that was a bit of a shock. Mind you Pospisil has really been upping his game and the training has really paid off, he is a different player to last year.
We are still catching up with tennis at the moment.

I am sure the next lucky dip will be the "one". OH had five numbers, a long time ago, before I knew him

I hope the carvery was lovely and that you managed a pudding :) we have to keep our standards up, after all.

Kerrin, I am sorry to hear that your tooth is still no better, you do right getting the hosp to have a look at it.
Good that the wedding photo shoot went well, despite having to grimace with the pain. ((()))
Yes, you need lots of healing power for your mouth, I hope they can sort it out asap. Then you can take your mtx when you feel stronger.

Off to the GC today, for our Monday morning coffee and scones, with Mum n Dad. It is usually nice and quiet on a Monday and we always wait until after 10, as that is when the scones arrive, freshly baked.
Then to the vest, more food for his Lordship, then Drs, more drugs for moi, then Sainsbury's, more food for everyone

Hope everyone is as ok as can be, Toni, Mig, Christine, Joan, Elizabeth..........and all.

Everyone take lots of care and rest well. XXX Aidan

    Morning Aidan

Lovely clear-sky photo. That's something I miss about smoking. Being outside late and seeing the sky...sigh!

I hope Mum and Dad are well and you all enjoy the GC. Can you pick me up some peat-free compost for my begonia bulbs please?

Diddicat says Pepe is coming with her and he must be cross because he 'never' leaves the house. She is going to take him on her broom so watch out for him practising balancing - maybe on the back of chairs??

Those afternoon cakes yesterday were lovely BTW :D

Thank you for asking the Rev Delphine is coming along nicely :)

Kerrin please do get back to your dentist for advice. Did I tell you I had a similar problem many years ago (14) with a root canal filling? It took weeks and I mean weeks to settle, but you could have an infection that you can't see and you don't want that :? ((()))

I wanna see the pre-wedding piccies!! Nosey aren't I?

Barbara how could you? Your Dad went out in public with painted toenails?!!

I didn't like Florida either massive extra-tacky Butlins in my opinion.

I hope the carvery was good. I'll try to catch a photo of the Churchyard crocuses. I wondered why the gardener was mowing so early in the season.

Pepe is going with Daisycat so they'll have her!!

Aw Carol. It's just so hard isn't it life without a beloved animal like Snowy ((()))
It's good to hear the two of you are closer than ever though.

Very wise of you not to eat the buffet who knows what will be there?

It will be our pleasure to hop under the cloak on Tuesday. We will behave under there I promise :?

    Kath
    :D

It's just good to see you! Rest up now xx

Joan same as Lucy with her shoulder only 2 nights! I bet you'll be glad to be home and you are in a bungalow so easy enough to manage. Thank Sue for us please. Of course it's the not knowing it's scary :(

Love to everyone esle who hasn't been in.

    Toni xxx

PS I forgot to say we are going to a Safari Supper next Saturday in the Village Incase no-one knows what one is (I didn't):

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progressive_dinner

Scary eh? We aren't cooking it being our first year, but don't tell anyone our main is at 'The Hall' the senior Dr at our Drs

Right, we will leave Joan and Sue with the carvery -

Hope all are as well as can be. Turning out to be a brighter day. :sun:

So Toni, that's why Pepe has been pirouetting around the place, ready for broomstick duties. I will leave his claws as sharp as needles, so he can hang on tight. I was going to glove up and put thick coats on, to get them trimmed

I will send the compost over with Miss Sleek, when she comes to see Pepe later. Not sure what the towing weight is of the broomstick :? :?
Glad the cakes were good, here are todays tasty treats :)

    cream-tea.jpg

Glad Rev Delphine is on the mend, we have to keep an eye on our Clergy, being in the family so to speak. Dad was always Rector and we always called Mum, the Reverend Mother.

Florida is a massive holiday camp and I would loathe it, packed tot he rafters, hot and humid, no thanks. Give me the quiet desserts any day. Is that the right dessert / desert :?

Looking forward to pictures of the Church grounds.

This dinner sounds great, something I had never heard of, always nice to gain some knowledge every day. Safari Supper, no cooking, yet and at the Senior Dr's house, oh, do tell us all about it, not that I am being nosey, much. What fun. It all goes on in that lovely village of yours.

Now, was the carvery ok Joan, I hope so. Your boilers sounds like a real pain the proverbial and needs sorting. It should not be making a racket at all. It is all or nothing, no temperate climate for you. Toni will have the bus ready, as well as the cloak - we need a garage.
The scones were wonderful, fresh as a daisy and lovely smothered in butter - two coffee's and I was high as a kite   Mum n Dad enjoyed it, Dad had crumpets for a change, dripping in butter and jam, well, you have to do it that way.
Hi to Sue and the doggies

Hi Barbara, snap, OH cut my hair yesterday, so I am feeling much happier with myself, I love it super short, number 2 all over.
I am sure yours looks good too.
Yes, Spring is not far away, is it the 21st of March, I think. It has been quite warm the past few days, mind you, there was a frost last night - we were so late to bed, watching the tennis.

Enjoy the pics of Bryce Canyon, it is a magical place.

Hi Kath, you are busy with your walks, that's brilliant and then taking time to rest in between and do everything else as well. We don't mind you resting up, I will pop the kettle on, help yourself to a scone............Writing in your sleep, you are doing very well :D:D :?

Hope you are ok Kerrin and that tooth has been or is on the way to being sorted.
Carol, sending hugs to both, how is the knitting going, or should I not ask.
Elizabeth I hope you and the family are feeling better, extra hugs coming your way too.
Hi to Christine, Mig and all.

I will away and sort my pills. Everyone take lots of care. XXX Aidan

    afternoon all
Got through the morning yesterday then had a brilliant time out in the afternoon and evening I was very lucky because my daughter runs the st john ambulance group there who do the first aid for the racing so between her and one of her members who liases with one of the stadium staff they manage to get me into the stadium for free as I was also a member of the st john group until the end of 2012 and did many first aid duties for them as long as I sat with them so I had a brilliant unobstructed view from on of the old referee the boxes where the st john do there radio control. she also managed to get me a jacket potato in with their food order as well. it was a special meeting for me and my daughter as we used to go to speedway meetings there also when they raced there a good few years ago and as the stadium is soon to close for good the stock car people allowed a group of ex riders there on their bikes to parade around the race track during the stock car meeting it was so great meeting up and speaking to these riders and supporters before the meeting some who I had not seen since about 1991.

Needless to say today Arthur is having his payback and I am also very tired and Kathleen I feel just like your little sleeping image in your last post e019.gif

Barbara yes our Graycie is such a sweetie yes have sorted the cardigan and is going ok.

Aiden roast dinner was really nice and I since I have been doing slimming world I do my pudding differently so I have no skin on it mr T likes it the way I do it now and he is fussy with his rice pudding it has to be just right. yes there has been a few choice words directed at the knitting it has also found itself being thrown across the living room a couple of times too. and good you have the mini vacuum as we don't want to leave scone crumbs on the doctors floor would we now ha ha and yes of course the no cross words are a big bonus. thanks Toni nice to know you will all be under the cloak with me yep life is hard when you lose a pet I cannot understand people who say but it was only a dog co they are not just an animal they become part of your family .

So Joan's radiators are still not quite right? mmmmm...hope it's fixable.

It is a great village. I was pottering in the front garden this afternoon and saw the kids old music teacher and we are now on first name terms ;)

Kath I am so glad you are still walking that is really good even though you could fall asleep on a clothes-line ATM ((()))

Carole I am glad you had a fabulous time!! My husband goes to stock-cars every time he can :)

I bet you felt quite special getting such a good spot to see everything :)

You will get payback, but it certainly sounds as if it was worth it.

People who say it was 'just' a dog/cat are heartless and haven't had the joy that the little furry member of the family brings

Aidan please do let Pepe grow his nails a little while longer I have a feeling they will be doing their 'duty' tomorrow while we are under the cloak supporting Carole tomorrow!!

Don't worry too much the forecast is good and Daisycat has passed her advanced flying course.

The compost was great a bit spilled, but she did well getting it back I think.

    Oh cream scones!!!

    Blisss.....

The Dr lives at 'The Hall' I am worried where the doorbell will be must do a recce!!

It's a way of raising funds for the Church I think and having fun. Apparently we'll all be tiddly by the time we get to the party house!

Oh yes crumpets aren't worth eating unless they are dripping with best butter :D

So you and Barbara also found Florida tacky!! I felt guilty even saying it!

I don't have to cook this time as we are newbies. Next year will be a starter. Have started thinking already....

I had y hair cut and coloured too today

    Hope I didn't miss anyone : :?

    Evening all...
Aiden that carvery is much better than the one we went to..I think going early is a plan then the food is fresh..spot on with Florida...much nicer to see the real America ..when young many moons ago a friend and I were running away to California to live on a ranch....wonder how far we would have got on half a crown..
Carol so glad you got to the meeting..nice to meet up with people you knew..or have I got that wrong.. :?: nothing nice than a jacket potato...cheese and beans..a couple of rest days for you I think
Kath tiredness is horrible..just cant shake it off..I hope you feel better tomorrow..walking will certainly help...
Toni I am sure you will find the door bell... the things that go through our minds when its all new..bet you have a brilliant time..and such a good cause..
Did I say I am officially double barreled, my name not me..well not quite...been and sorted the bank..passport now but we need new ones anyway...
see you all tomorrow sleep tight..xxxxxxx

Just after 12, so good morning :)

Carol it sounds like you had a really good time at the race, best views, sustenance and a vip pass. Sounds like a great time. I have seen stock car and bike racing on tv, but never been. I did go to see formula one in Indianapolis, that was an experience, I was deaf.

Arthur always reminds us about its presence, but, we carry on and do our best to ignore it as best we can. Rest well.

Oh dear, the knitting went flying across the room :lol: The rice pudding sounds lovely.

We will be there under the cloak with my little dust buster. We will try and be quiet, try...........

I don't think anyone dare say, oh they are only cats........I would hit the roof. No, they are members of the family, very close members. The same for any pet a person may have. Some so called animal lovers are not so loving at all. The things you see and read about, breaks my heart.

Pepe is keeping something under his hat, so the "visit" is for today, when we are out. His claws are razor sharp, trust me on that one. He will grip on like a limpet and they are in safe hands if Miss Sleek has her advanced broomstick licence. :? 8)

Once we have seen that Carol is ok, we are off for lunch, just OH et moi. We like to have a "time out" day, does that sound selfish, I hope not, because it isn't meant that way.

I bet the Drs Doorbell is one of those cast iron pull ones, that rings in the hall..............I am sure you will find it. You are as bad as me, having to suss things out and have a dummy run kind of thing.

Tiddly eh, steady away now. I will leave a few beds free on the ward.

Everyone has had their hair cut, we are all in symbiosis :)

Hi Barbara, yes, the earlier the better for a carvery, there is nothing worse than gravy with skin so thick you could make a handbag out of it :lol:

So you were heading off into the big wild west to live on a ranch :lol: had you been watching too much tv. I don't think you would have gone very far on half a crown, lol.

and you are now double barreled, how very nice. A bit like Bubbles Devere :)

Hi to everyone else, Carol and Kath need to get some good rests.

I thought we could have a few midnight snacks, to help us sleep of course.

Morning everyone. Busy day again (as always) mini golf with yr 5, meeting at city hall and phone call and maybe visit to Guys Hospital about the teeth. Feeling a bit better this morning but still not quite right.

Furry members of the family are more than just pets. They have their own little personalities and bring joy to our lives. Apart from Tommy at the moment who is being sick all over the house.

Hope the radiator is fixed soon Joan.

Fresh scones yum. Been deprived of proper food this past week. Had enough mashed potato now.

    Hi again.

Finished my meeting at city hall, made it through security without being carried away.

At he hospital now waiting to see a dentist. Although the tooth is feeling a bit better today, it is still taking too long to get better and as I was in the area .........

I could do with a good carvery right now, but still got to be careful with what I am eating.

oh dear Kerrin, poor Tommy, hope he feels better asap. I know cats are sick at the drop of a hat, I have had Siamese in the past who where champions at it, always at the vets, but there was nothing wrong with them at all.

Did you get to sort out your tooth -

glad the meeting went well and the golf.

I will make sure the scones are extra soft for you.

Hi Joan, a lovely day here, hope you have managed to get out and about. We had a nice lunch out, I had tuna and cheddar panini, sounds a bit odd, but it is SO good. Plus coffee, tea, chips, salad and reluctantly I passed on the pecan pie, although it was looking at me all the time.

Carol, I hope we did a good job under the cloak, we tried to keep quiet and I didn't have to vacuum.

I think Pepe has been out with Miss Sleek and they have done the necessary at "that person's" house :lol::lol:

Time for a cuppa and a cake me thinks, a little selection. Love to all, will pop in again later. XX Aidan

Back from my adventure in London. Dentist not worried about my mouth. He poked, prodded, washed it, and took the stitches out. I cringed, and ignored the pain as didn't want any more local anaesthetic. He reckons it's taking longer to heal due to the methotrexate.

Want to go swimming tonight but with a hole in my gum, not the best idea. But have my first gala on Sunday dinners to practice!

I think Tom's problem is he just eats too much.

    Evening all
Today has been a good day really Glad you didn't have to use the vacuum at the drs and yes you did well under the cloak Aiden the Dr has let me try the water tabs every day for a month then have a blood test done to make sure the sodium level don't drop othr wise they are going to have to look at a different type of tablet to deal with it. the knitting is ok at the moment and is going well, and tonight at my slimming world weigh in I lost 2lb wihich keeps me in target still and this time at the bottom end.

i'm also more awake today and in less pain with payback from the great events on Sunday yes Barbara they were people I knew and surprisingly despite all being older we still recognised one another even the riders and the jacket potato was fine and was still within what I would normally eat. and congratulations on being officially double-barrelled in name only of course

and yes I do agree that people who say its only an animal are heartless and yes Aiden I hit the roof when people say it makes me so mad :x :x :x and Joan for a vet to say it is disgusting and that's putting it mildly I would have certainly hit the roof there.

    take care all

Good evening to all - cooler tonight, after a pleasant day.

Kerrin I am glad the the dentist could not find any major problems with your tooth. I am sure it will start to feel a lot easier, now that the stitches are out. Yes, the Mtx would delay things healing for sure.
No, maybe steer clear of swimming for tonight, I know pools are chlorinated, but you don't want to risk any infections.
So you will be doing a lot of cooking I guess. Sounds very interesting

Yes, our puskins do overeat sometimes. Bless em.

The pictures are really good :)

Feel free to help yourself to the cakes Barbara, as you know they are calorie free.
Wagon Train and Bonanza, no wonder you were off to the Wild West, lol.
We did have a very nice lunch. We didn't go anywhere else, just there and back, rest of the day just chilling out and catching up on the tennis etc.
How dare Mark's not have your ice cream - one thing we never seem to buy, for some reason. Glad you wrote to them.

I am glad I am not alone in liking the Tuna and Cheese Toasties.

Good to hear that Niamh is well and back to school.

Our puskins do do as they are told, to a point, they are so used to our routine, you can set your clock with them. Pepe sees you getting ready to go out and starts howling for his food, they always know when it is nap time or bed time.
Mornings can be a little more fraught, when they are all up and tearing about, much hissing and spitting from Mother.

If the vet said that to us, it would be our last visit to them, I would loose the plot and likely be removed from the practice.

I am so glad to hear that the Sisters are happy to sell and move into a care home and be looked after together. Good that you and other neighbours will visit too, always good to keep an eye on standards etc, sorry, that's Matron talking.

Christine I read that your eyes are very sore again, take care and rest them. Have you ever tried eyebright (its a natural herb), by Liz Earle, it is for super sensitive eyes and can be used as a compress over the eye area. I use it quite a lot and it helps, it is very gentle.
Enjoy your massage and day off.

Good that the Drs appointment went well Carol. We were all very quiet under the cloak, although we did have a small fan going as I was having a hot flush
Let's hope that your ankles improve, which I am sure they will, over the coming weeks. There is always a bit of a trade of with diuretics, some are sparing and some not, ie some will get rid of salts like potassium and others don't. A little extra salt (not too much) and a banana won't go amiss.
Way to go, another 2lb loss and down at the bottom end of your target, well done you.

Plus the knitting is going well, excellent. Good to hear that you are in less pain today :) always a bonus

We would be a tour de force for those who say oh its only a dog, or only a cat............Toni would be in there too.

I hope everyone else is as ok as possible. Toni, Mig, Elizabeth and all.
I am setting solid, so I will go potter. Everyone take lots of care XXXX Aidan

    Morning everyone!

Well after our stint under the cloak I ended up with a migraine and failed to get in here so sorry

I am so glad Carol the Dr did agree to try the extra water tablet. I think you need it and hope the sodium levels stay ok.

I agree with you imagine a VET saying that of all people. Mind you you can get people without feelings in every walk of life can't you?

Morning Aidan. We were pretty clean under that cloak weren't we? :D

Probably because the cats were doing their business elsewhere. That Dr's room was small too he would definitely have smelt the tuna!!

I hope you and Oh enjoyed your 'us' time :) I am rather tartial to pecan-pie - yum!

Christine ((())) get well soon eyes. ENJOY that massage I know you will you've waited long enough ;)

Barbara I am so glad the sisters are going to be together :) That's all that matters, but how lovely people will go to see them!!

Sometimes you never get over the loss of an animal! When Eric died I had no intention I was DEVASTATED then.....my bro's cat got his neighbours cat pregnant and look who came to live with me!! How much has she added to my life?!!

    :D

    Well all of ours :)

Ah Kerrin he thinks it's the MTX does he the Dentist? ((())) to you and at least you are reassured it's not infected or anything bad.

Daisycat is sick when she has a fur-ball from too much preening!

Tom is a greedy pusskin then

You are so right Joan an animal is like a child and needs t be taught how to behave. They give us so much in return don't they?

Love to everyone esp those who are AWOL feeling rough ((()))

afternoon to one and all - hope the day is as pleasant with some sunshine.

Oh dear Toni, I wondered what was wrong. Migraines are horrid, they completely floor people I know. I have never had the migraine pain, but I have had like a waterfall rainbow in my eyes, which is rather unpleasant too.
Hope you are feeling better today.

Yes, we were all neat and tidy, it was a small Drs room, no, that is not right, the Drs room was very small. Grammar Aidan, grammar.
Pepe is keeping very quiet about the visit with Miss Sleek, all he said was everything was "done". :?

We did enjoy our lunch and I really wanted to eat some Pecan pie, (being in the USA umpteen times, was my introduction to Pecan Pie and Pumpkin Pie) mmmmmmmmm

Talking of cakes I have made a rather nice chocolate one for afternoon T.

There is a slice missing, I had to see that it was ok for everyone to eat :? :D It seems ok

You are right you never really get over the loss of a much loved pet, time moves on, but the missing of them stays. Miss Sleek has definitely enriched your lives :)

Mother has hair balls, no matter how much you brush them, they always like to preen and primp. Bless her she is slowing down generally.

Hope Lucy is doing well with her exercises and that Rev Delphine continues to improve. How was the meal at the Dr's?

Hi Joan, good that you are always out and about. I know the doggies like to ride along. The gas man is coming tomorrow if I remember correctly. Let's hope he fixes things, yet again. It must have cost more in call outs, than it would for a top of the range new boiler

Hi to everyone else, Kerrin, hope all is ok at school and your tooth is feeling better.
Christine, I hope your eyes are less sore today.
Mig, Barbara, Elizabeth, Carol and all.

Time for T, we need some to go with that chocolate cake.

We went to a different GC today, more of a nursery, no cafe's, not even a loo. Had a good nosey, see what we will be having once the side lawn is replaced with limestone chippings. It is only a small ish area, always soaking wet, even in summer. Will be able to actually walk on it when it is done, without slipping and sliding. 6 tons should cover it :o

Right, time to feed his lordship, he has woken from his slumbers.
