Aiden, there is still no sign of our outgoing MP. All the candidates have been invited to a local venue for a question time. All have accepted except him. He hasn’t replied at all to letters, emails, phone calls and it’s in a few days. How lovely of OH to make the jewellery for mum. It is beautiful. She will treasure it.

Toni, the garden has suddenly shot up everywhere. I like to go for a wander up and down every day even if I don’t clip anything. The pond is chock-a-block with irises. I was going to pull some out but I found frog spawn so left them. The plants round it need to be thinned out ….. one day. How is your pond doing? , I don’t blame you and Lucy for not wanting to go to the appointment. I know they say to carry on as normal but I don’t think I would go. Very scary. Yay, the shower room is finished. I bet Lucy is over the moon. You got locked in at choir practice. How did that happen? Thank goodness someone was able to get you out. Hope Lucy is having a lovely time at her friend’s.

Kath, glad to hear that Emily is enjoying her job so much. Was it raining while you were under the gazebo? I think it’s quite nice to watch the rain as long as I am sheltered.

Barbara, glad you arrived ok. Hope your son and family are safe and you were able to enjoy your holiday. How lovely being able to sleep well. And you are meant to eat lots of ice cream on holiday. It's the law. Glad you have ordered the same mattress. I want the blackbird to stay at the back of the house as he wakes me up at 4 in the morning. There were 3 babies flapping about yesterday.

Kerrin, you are always so busy despite your fatigue. A reception with Prince Charles? How did it go? Did you get to meet him personally? At least your team were in the final. That is brilliant. Are you on holiday this week?

Carol, it must have been the christening today? How did it go? Hope everyone had a lovely time.

I haven’t been in for a few days and now there are lots more animals. All fast asleep at the moment so I’ll tiptoe so I don’t waken them. It’s been so hot here. Thunder storms yesterday but luckily didn’t get caught in them. I was babysitting for my youngest GD last night while my son and his wife went out for their 10th anniversary. We played the game Operation and she took all the bones and heart out then said the man would have to stay in hospital as it wasn’t a good idea for him to go home without any bones. She had me crying with laughing with her operations. This afternoon, I decided to pull the bed out from the alcove and paint behind it and the arch. Didn’t do my neck any good but I’m glad it’s done. I painted the bedroom about 18 months ago but didn’t get that bit done. Oooh, look at the time. I’d better get to bed. It’s nearly tomorrow.

Evening to everyone, I think it is a bit cooler, more bearable for sure.

Thank you Barbara, he is really patient and has a good eye for artistic things - I would be all thumbs and would have thrown everything out of the window within 5 minutes   Another bracelet and another necklace done today and he is on with something else now, I can hear gems and beads rattling

I did have a memory foam matress and I melted, (nothing new there), but sprung is certainly better and you can get them with a cool topping built in, that takes away the excess heat.

Hi Kath, thank you, I have passed on your kind words and 3 of each you say, that will keep him busy :)
Glad you managed to stay dry under the gazebo and had a nice trip to Long Eaton.
No, I take full responsibility for the warthogs, yours additions to the zoo were far more cute, warthogs are not for cuddling, way too grumpy, lol.
So all the toffee's have gone then, oh dear, feeling a bit  it will pass.

Thank you Toni, your kind words are passed across the room. Much rattling and fiddling with jump rings and wire clipping.
I love all of them, the tree and the pendants are lovely. He made me a double chain mail bag charm, with an angel and a pussycat on :)
I will try and find the pictures.

No, Pepe is the same, he only dresses for brooming, along with Miss Sleek. I think they skyped earlier, talk of a trip to the coast this week  I know it is only about 50 mins to Blackpool and or Southport or Lytham. Lytham is nice, we don't want them on the Blackpool pleasure beach, oh my............Imagine the chaos.

We have not had much in the way of sunshine, it is warm, but bearable. don't blame you for putting the AC on though.

You have been busy in the shops, the bathroom will be so lush. More Piccies when it is all dressed and preened.

Oh, we will have chicks too, I forgot the Rooster had been in to see the ladies :?

    We need an inventory
Lambs, baby piggies, warthogs, giraffes, Okapi, Tapir's, Meerkats, Calf and Mother, Red Panda, sloths, errrrrrm,

I think we need some little owls 134_o.jpg?Refresh=24%2F04%2F2015+11%3A09%3A33

They only grow to 8 inches tall and are SO cute and SO friendly.
I will sort out a huge aviary for them. Room to fly around and catch voles (don't tell Miss Slimkins)
    C5_ujCkXMAAIeTX.jpg

Oh Look, BLESS, how cute are they.

Hi Christine - has your MP been abducted by Aliens? How strange that they have vanished, have you googled to see if there is any news on them.
Mum does love her jewellery and is super pleased with the ones he has made her, more to come for her 80th in August.

Oh you are going to have froggies, we will no doubt have to have some in the zoo, well, they are only small and equally cute. I love irises.

Glad you didn't get caught up in any of the thunderstorms. We just have one with torrential rain. More rain forecast overnight and into tomorrow.
So glad that the super hot weather has abated for now. It was very uncomfortable.
I can imagine you did have a good laugh with your GD, best not to discharge someone with no bones at all :lol:
Then you have been painting, steady away now, pulling beds around, that won't do you any good, but, I guess I would try and do the same.

Carol will be in today, to let us know all about the Christening.
Kerrin I hope you are less fatigued and managing to recharge the batteries a bit this week.
Elizabeth, sending hugs as always, to you and yours.
As I do to all. I have pottered three times now, so I had better post, before it vanishes into the ether.

Everyone take lots of care XXXX N Night God bless. Aidan

Thank Barbara fingers crossed that it's as comfy :)

Hi Christine! I have yet to go near my pond  I have been too busy with all my seeds and seedlings potting on and planting out etc. I have a whole bed FULL of my own plants and also 2 baskets :)

You must leave the frog spawn alone for now, I agree, even if the pond is a tad overgrown for now. Mine is about 2/3 done on what I had planned for it last year so will get on soon.

I'm glad you get out most days even if only for a walk u the garden path

Yes the shower is done save a good bottoming from myself and Aidan next week. It is fabulous and you will get a finished photo soon.

The caretaker locked us in. I was with the neighbour with RA who is in her wheelchair and her husband so we were at the side of the building in the disabled space. There is a suggestion that he might be getting the start of dementia. Genuinely not joking :( All I can say is it's a good time we went together else she would have been locked in the car on her won while husband went for help!

Well done for doing the painting and I hope your neck s not protesting.

A boneless person eh? Not a good idea at all. Would need splints to even stand poor thing  aren't kids great when they are little?

Morning Aidan :) oooh!! Look at those owls  ADORABLE :D 8 inches?!! ahhh!!! We do indeed need them I can round up dozens of voles

Add Cat sheep and Cow to our inventory.

The rooster goes home tomorrow so we'll see how many chicks we get...how long does it take? Think we better stop eating the eggs for a while. You can eat the ones in the other field though - he hasn't been there.

Good news it's rained overnight here and my new waterbutt will be full as well as the one my friend's kindly donated to me.

Oh and I am on the rota for watering the plants in Church too so maybe I am off the hook there today  I will check though because there's a tree which shelters some of them from rain, (not the majority nor from dehydration from heat) and some new box either side of the front door.

No I agree not Blackpool I think Pepe's landings can still be a bit hit and miss  Skyping they did tuna all over my keyboard  Had to use an anticatterial wipe!

You have a double chain mail bag charm, with an angel and a pussycat on? Pictures essential!! He is clever - and patient.

Joan g020.gif We have rain I imagine you do too I hope you don't get soaked taking the doggies out!

I hope everyone else is well :)

    Love

Oh how lovely those little owls are.

Joan, I did quite enjoy the day out on Saturday, in spite of the pain in the rain. Although the gazebo kept us dry. The stall is on the edge of the open market, and opposite the butcher, who uses a microphone to call out his wares.

Very overcast here today, with the suggestion of MORE rain. I'll just have a wander round, to see what I can do. I'll leave the eggs for a while and see how many hatch. o040.gif

Afternoon to all - cloudy and pleasantly cool today, happy days :)

They are just the most adorable owls, it was essential to have them in our zoo.
I am sure you can get help with the voles, from a certain Miss Sleek, best not tell her where they are going though, she would be most put out.
I think Barbara is a bit worried about the ever expanding zoo, she is doing a sterling job with the feeds, but I think it best to take on some more keepers, to assist with such duties. Interviews are taking place as we speak.

Yes, cat, sheep, cow, and yack too, must not forget yack. Bless.

Right, if Rooster is going home then I will pop a note on the pen, to use the other field until we know. A couple of the "girls" seem quite broody already :?

Good that your water butt will be full, Dad has one, in fact quite a few people have them round here. We did talk about it one time, not quite sure why we didn't get one............... :?
Nice to have some rain too, the rivers are drying up, there is nothing in the little streams :(

I am sure you will do a great job of keeping the plants duly watered at the Church. Are there Yew trees in the Church yard? I always remember Yew trees, we had two at the Rectory, really huge things, so so old. Nothing would grow under their canopy.

I think Pepe has been skyping again, it looks as though Lytham is the place of choice, there is a nice open beach, (the tide goes out for miles), so they will have a fair chance at landing, well, Pepe will. Miss Sleek might have to be available to air lift, if he lands in the rowing boat lake.
They can eat their tuna on the prom and likely have an ice cream.
His nibs is pretending to be asleep, with ears pricked up.

OH has bits of wire going in all directions, another gemstone being wire worked. I will take more pictures. He is patient.

Mum was wearing her new pendant and bracelet today, when we went out for brunch. We got to the GC in good time, people were queuing by the time we left. Bacon and egg muffin, then scone with butter and whipped cream, oh the cream was extra yummy today. Mum did quite well with her scrambled egg on toast :) Plus I insisted she ate some cream :) reiterating that she needs lots of calories.

Hi Joan, yes, the puskins are all a good age, pampered and petted, as they should be :)
So the boiler man is coming back this week, do you not have a spare room he can stay in, it would save a lot of time
Hope you are having a good day, not getting caught in the rain.

Try not to worry Barbara, the interviews are underway for extra zoo keepers, we cannot have you running ragged arranging all the feeds, we have so many now, on so many different diets. You can enjoy petting and stroking them (not the warthogs). The owls are just gorgeous. I have a feeling they will not be the only birdies in the aviary.
OH is busy away with wire work at present. I like to keep quiet and not interrupt the "flow".
I have the washer and dryer going, lol. I know my place :lol: He will sell some, I am sure.

I don't blame you for having an at home day, you will need to recover. I don't think people realise how much the hot weather takes it out of us all. Wipes me out.

They are super cute aren't they Kath, I love owls. We hear them every night, in the woods. We have seen three, a barn owl and two large tawny owls, sat on next doors decking rails. Wonderful birds.
The pain in the rain, ouch. But at least you kept dry. Being soaked would have added insult to it all.
There is a butcher who goes to Skipton market, he has a tannoy, "have you ever seen chops like these"

Well, I had better move, I am due another potter. Hi to everyone who is not around at the moment.

I have popped a Golden Syrup Anzac Cheesecake in the fridge

    Take care XXXX Aidan golden-syrup-anzac-cheesecake-93023-1.jpeg

Im a bit embarrassed after seeing Aidens OH pieces  but here one I made for our eldest GD GF for her birthday..she is a goth...th_20160428_205044_zpsa3asxecm.jpg and a few bits and peices nothing to complicated... :lol:th_20160302_192710_zpso5hhjwxk.jpg
Glad you had a good time with mum and dad and mum enjoyed something to eat..and good to hear that we are getting help with the zoo...I was getting a bit mixed up with who had what... wow that is some cake....I need some to keep up my energy... :D
Kath good to hear you had a nice day out..and you keep on wandering....its the same here rain and dull..

Barbara nothing to be embarrassed about they are lovely!! Your GD must have been very pleased :)

I wish I had the patience you and Aidan's OH have :?

BTW I interviewed today for new keepers and have appointed two one days one nights. The chap reminds me of Johnny Morris.....

Thank you I hope the mattress is the right one and really comfy.

Choir rehearsals take place in the community centre in the next village otherwise I could have phoned Paul or shouted for help :)

Kath I am glad you enjoyed yourself despite rain and pain :)

Aidan will section off the girls who may be 'with chick' How exiting it is!!:)

Joan you are right it will be a year on 25th June :) You have a good memory!

Oh Aidan...that cheesecake!! Elixir of life it is :D

How lovely Mum is wearing her new jewellery! I bet OH was chuffed :) Food sounded lovely at the GC extra yum cream too.....

We went to a special garden centre in Albrighton where they grow Roses....David Austin ones. I bought a blue one in memory of my Mum. She loved Blue Moon.

The cats are definitely planning on ice cream dessert after their tuna picnic at Lytham. Miss Slimkins is really pleased to read there is a pier. She can read you know...quite well as can both your girls, but poor Pepe less so. He can recognise tuna and cream, but is excellent with serial numbers, anything relevant to himself basically. I expect you know that.

She is hoping he will serenade her...she says his voice is like something I've never heard. :?

I did not need to water the plants, but I washed the lichen off one of the gates to smarten it up a bit. That took as long...probably longer actually.

I have two waterbutts yet, but plan a third. Diddicat likes me to turn them on slowly so she can drink that water. I'm a bit worried about the potency of the new ex-beer barrel one :?

Have taken about 40 voles up for the owls. Should last a good while.

    Right onwards and upwards :)

    Love

Aiden, I think the aliens do have my MP. One of the other candidates has just put a leaflet through my door asking if anyone knows where he is. Just googled and nothing. I think the forggies must have hatched by now but I haven't seen any. I'll try and catch some for the cafe pond. And some irises. There are hundreds in my garden. Love the owls.

Toni, I'm not surprised you haven't touched the pond yet. You have been so busy with other gardening things. I have only just sown my first seeds - giant sunflowers - and re-potted tomatoes and runner beans. And that's it. The poor caretaker too. he must be so embarrassed. What a shame if he is getting dementia. I think he will be well looked after and helped as it sounds as if everyone in your village is so friendly. I liked Johnny Morris and his zoo show.

Joan, I usually do take bank holidays off but I have taken the whole week off this time. You haven't had any rain. At least you won't get wet when you go out.

Barbara, I wouldn't have bothered painting behind wardrobes either. Mine are built in so I don't need to worry about that. I needed to move the bed as you can see the wall through the headboard and I couldn't reach down the back. I bet you are feeling rather tired now. A few easy days resting. Funny how we always feel we need a holiday when we're just home. Your jewellery looks lovely. I like the black one.

Kath, I see you are watching the chicks hatch out. There seem to be a lot of them.

This month's farmer's market was in the big park in the next town today. I wanted to go but didn't want to walk all that way in the rain. My son came with his wife and my youngest GD and took me up so I got my pies and we played in the play park for a while.

Don't be embarrassed Barbara, they are lovely and all take time and skills to do. I am certain your GD GF was thrilled, I would have been. :)
Yes, Brunch was very nice and Mum did do quite well, I was kind of quizzing as to what is her favourite food, she likes Cauli cheese, which is good, I said pile the cheese on, boost the calories, plus it tastes even better :D

Yes we are having a lot more help with the ever expanding Zoo.

I have just read about the keeper who was killed by one of the lions at the zoo today. So tragic, but sadly there is always a risk when dealing with wild animals of great strength.

Then I read and see a wonderful tiger in China, completely sedated, so that people can go and have their picture taken with it, it was obviously in distress, how rotten people are. The article is in the daily mail online.

The cake is best eaten in small amounts, rather rich. Little and often is best :lol:

Thank you for sorting the interviews Toni, I loved Johnny Morris, so that's more than fine.

You cannot beat a baked cheesecake, I remember making one years ago, there were about a billion calories in it, 12 eggs, what seemed like lbs of sugar, cream, mascarpone, vanilla..............it went on and on and was baked for hours. Boy was it good.

Mum was very proud of her new jewellery, the pendant was flashing blue, love labradorite, amazing natural colours.
The cream was so good, I could easily have made myself feel quite  and they did give me a large side dish full of it.

How lovely to get a blue rose, in memory of Mum, wonderful. Sounds like a very nice place.

So Pepe is going to serenade Miss Sleek, this is news, I know he can chirrup and shriek when he wants something. I might fit a cat cam to the broom, so that we can hear and see the singing. Yes, the girls are all better readers than the boys. As you say, he is an expert with numbers and has started to reject the poisoned batch numbers again.  Miss Slimkins said there was a new poison that makes you like the vet, Pepe said that will never happen.:lol: :?

Lichen on wood etc is a sign of very clean air, so that's good news :) Take some getting off though.

Pepe used to like to drink from the kitchen sink, that is the only time he has ever drunk, he gets all the fluids from his wet food. The girls drink lots of water. There might be some booze left in the empty beer barrel - :?

40 voles, that will do nicely, you did well to hide them from Miss Sleek.

Hi Christine - so your MP has been abducted, we need to contact ET, see if he knows of their whereabouts in the universe.

Oh yes, froggies and irises, I might have to pinch a few though. Flags as we call them.

Good that you are having a week off, time to potter and do your own thing, give the Boss time to sort out your pay rise :) well, you never know.

Nice to see your Son and GD and get a ride to the farmers market. Pies are important :) Food of the God's, a bit like the cheesecake.

Hope everyone else is as ok as possible, we will hear from Carol soon, regarding her week end and the Christening :)

I had better potter again. Need my diprobase, good old pompholyx is having another "do".

Off out for lunch, again, today. The boys who lunch, lol.

    Hi Everyone.

Had a few relaxing days apart from refereeing a mini tennis tournament on Sunday. It was at a brand new venue which could become my new club if I ever play tennis again!

Today is my visit to the Rheumy. Lots of questions as there have been no changes with 6 months of methotrexate apart from negative side effects. Various new aches and pains though!

Prince Charles came to present the trophy to the kids and then meets with various stakeholders before the ICC champions trophy starts at the oval next week. The final was stopped half way and we shared the trophy. We then lost the final while he went to the reception which meant I missed meeting him but did get to see him. One of my boys has been chosen to take the match ball out on Thursday. And yes I'm on holiday this week.

Well so far, I've counted 30 chicks. It will be eggsiting to find out how many are little girls.

Kerrin, you must be very proud of your team. Prince Charles, goodness me.

Oh Aidan, mum must look lovely in her jewels.

I used to remember Johnny Morris as the hot chestnut man. Mum used to like him too.

Hi all I'm back oh no I hear you cry  only joking of course got back late afternoon yesterday and after some tea was so tired I didn't even touch my laptop just sat in armchair and fell asleep

The weekend away was very busy to say the least we arrived in Ramsgate about 2pm to find we could not get into room until 3pm so left our luggage with them and went of in search of a coffee shop for a quick lunch. Our eldest daughter rang whilst we were waiting for our order and asked where we were, as she works in Ramsgate and had just finish work we were only about 2-3 minuets away from where she was so she met up with us.

Saturday Mr Turbo and myself went to the big shopping centre at Westwood cross in Broadstairs where we joined for lunch in the Costas there by Daughter, both Gds, both Ggds and my sister. think to the amusement of the other customers with our laughter and chatter. then we all went our separate ways. to carry on with the rest of our day.

Sunday of course it was off to Margate for the Christening at 12.30 which went well Graycie was good and did not cry when the water was drizzled over her forehead she just moaned a bit, don't think she was very impressed. :lol after we all went to a small hall my Gd had organised for a little party with a buffet a good time was had by all. got back to hotel around around 4.30pm and both promptly fell asleep. did not even have our meal until around 8.30pm in hotel. woken early hours of morning by thunder storms which lasted for quite a while.

Arrived home about 3pm yesterday afternoon feeling very weary.

must now move and have a little potter around or I shall set chair shaped and also need to get some tea cooked.

    Take care all of you
    Stay positive always👍xx

    Evening.

Sounds like a lovely visit to the Kent coast for the christening. The thunderstorms were quite loud!

I'm always proud of my teams. Ok most of the time, wasn't too impressed when they lost one of their group matches to a weaker team but they redeemed themselves. Outplayed in the final though but the other team had two county players, and we did get a mention to all the VIP's at the reception.

Rheumy apt went ok. She wants to up the meth to 20g to see if that make a difference and has ordered a MRI of my hands to see just what is going on in there!

Sorry to be so late on

Lovely to see Kerrin twice in one day and I am glad the rheumy is looking after you. Now you have to get used to a higher MTX dose  but if it works....

Welcome home Carol :) Good to see you and fabulous to hear all has gone so very well this weekend.

I should think you still have some recovering to do.

I will look at photos on facebook :)

Kath 30???   what will we do with the boys?? My farmer will probably take them in (he is free range and will not harm them I promise :)

    Barbara
the butt is full and I have used it this evening :) I am so pleased....I must take some photos :?

I was singing 'blue moon' all day yesterday

Lucy is doing really well thank you - visiting a friend this week.

Joan This village is lovely. I did a little litter picking this morning hardly found anything!!

Aidan cauli cheese is good for mum. I got a book from Macmillan with high protein and calorie menus.

Not good to hear about that poor Tiger. Or that poor keeper. Ours are safe health and safety trained and all our animals are pretty gentle. Well maybe not so the warthogs, but they don't attack.

I am so glad everyone likes the Johnny Morris bloke!! He has all the animals 'talking' :D

Pepe only sings to Miss Slimkins apparently not to peoples. Just other pusskins. He is very good with numbers sorry he's sussed another lot of serial numbers on his food sachets. No way would they want vet-liking food   NEVER!! Please do attach a cat-cam.

Diddi has her own cup on the kitchen windowsill, but specially likes watering can water....

I hope your hands are on the mend soon ((()))

    Love

Evening to all, nice and cool tonight :) Single figures no less.

Hi Kerrin, glad you have had a relaxing few days, save the visit to the new tennis tournament venue. Let's hope it does become your new club.
We are soaking up the French Open at the moment and loving it, well, we love it all, right through the year.

I see you have been to the Rheumy and they want to up your Mtx, did they offer some relief from the nausea as well? I hope the MRI shows what is amiss and that they can help. We will be there under the cloak, as and when you get the appointment.

You got to see Prince Charles, which is very cool. Sorry that your team did not win the final. Getting a mention to the VIP's too, very nice to hear, I am sure you are proud of your team, rightly so.

Hi Joan, hope you Sue and the doggies are ok, not too long now till you can throw the boot away :) I bet you will be relieved.
We are all as ok as can be, not seen Mum n Dad today, maybe not until Thursday, when we meet up at the GC.

I am very trying too Barbara, lol. Well, OH is in full agreement  Your bracelets are lovely.

Mum loves her jewellery, OH has a lot of patience when it comes to making or freestyle wire wrapping. I would not have the foggiest idea, give me a ward full of patients and I would be fine. Give me umpteen strands of wire and beads and the like and I would throw them after 2 minutes.:lol: :?
I think I am getting less patient as time goes on. Being in pain has a lot to do with your mood.

I was reading tonight about the zoo where the keeper was mauled. Apparently the fencing is rather worn, with no designated escape routes, should the need arise. These things always come to light, after a tragic event. Very sad.

You do feel a bit helpless at times, I always said that to Student Nurses or relatives, who were trying to get their very sick relatives to eat or drink. It is the feeling that you are doing something for them, it is often not the fact that they need or want to eat anything.
I felt just the same when Mum was terminally ill, also with Dad, you want to "make them better", but you cannot. Very upsetting.

Sorry, I am going off track. I am glad you like "the boys who lunch". :)

That is very sad to hear about your Niece's Step Father, that is no age is it, 54. My condolences to all.

30 chicks already Kath, goodness, I will make sure the heat lamps are on for them, it is chilly tonight. That goes for all the other lovelies that like it warm. The meerkats will definitely need lots of heat.
I used to like Johnny Morris too, he loved Lemurs, now, that gets me to thinking, should we have some Lemurs, they are so friendly and love being fussed and petted................

Hi Carol, good to see you and I don't blame you for falling asleep when you arrived home, after your busy week end.

Meeting up in coffee shop and then in Costa with all the family, how lovely. Laughter is good medicine.

I am so pleased the Christening went well and Graycie was not too upset by the water. A lovely buffet and get together afterwards. More sleeps, before supper. Then thunderstorms. :?

I have seen the pictures on FB, lovely they are too :)

Oh if I didn't have to potter every few mins

Hi Toni I see you have you water system working, very good. Good to hear that there is hardly any litter in the village. Similar here, always well kept and tidy. People take a pride in their village and their properties, which is nice.

Glad the farmer will look after the chickens. Yes, all ours are fine, the warthogs are grumpy, but charming, in their own way. They just don't like being fussed over, as long as they have lots of food and mud, they are happy.
I did mention Lemurs, I think we should have some. I love them.

Pepe has said that they are setting off in the dark tonight, so that they can see the sunrise on the coast. I think he is a bit sweet on Miss Slimkins, singing and watching the sunrise. Bless. He said they will be back, by the time we are getting up and promised that they would not go to Blackpool.

His Lordship has sussed the batch numbers again and is playing hard to please with his food that has been doctored

Imagine Pepe with a watering can, he would run a mile, if one drop of water catches him, he jumps. I hope the tide is out at Lytham.

I am slathering diprobase onto my hands, still splitting, but they will mend, again.

I am starting to type gibberish, the tramadol is kicking in, so I had better say good night.
Hi to everyone, Christine, Elizabeth, Mig, Charrisse thinking of you all.

Everyone take care N Night XXXX Aidan Good-Night-Yellow-Cat-Clipart-300x250.jpg

Hi again. 3 times in 2 days, I must be on holiday and woke. Up in the middle of the night.

I really like my Rheumy, geniunly feel she wants to help as my blood tests are negative to the R factor. Not that keen on upping meth as I do get side effects but will be taking folic acid daily rather than once a week. The MRI might shed some light as feel fingers are getting worse.

Watching some French open too in between wedding planning and Rheumy appointments. Do find watching tennis a bit bittersweet though knowing I might never play competitively again. Tennis has been so much part of my life since I was 10. At least swimming has filled the competitive gap for now.

Very sad about the Tiger death, especially if it might have been avoidable. We forget they are wild animals in an unnatural habitat.

Still trying to keep up with everyone's news, but get confused. So hi to anyone and everyone I haven't mentioned.

Joan the village will be assessed 3 times over the summer - it's best kept village so we have to keep it tidy. Usually May, June and July.

    Kerrin
never worry if you don't keep up with our news sometimes we all go mad and it's confusing!! I can tell you are off work. I hope the folic acid 6 days will help you with the increase.

I am R neg too :( Let us know when your scan is on your hands.

Sorry tennis makes you feel so sad ((()))

Aidan Lemurs yes!! and have we got any bush babies??

So that's where Daisycat was this morning!! I was calling and calling and no reply!! I rather think she likes your Pepe too bless them p050.gif

She's got a silly look on her face now too

She loves water does Miss Slimkins but it must be trickling 'just so' or in her cup/bowl.

So he's been reading the numbers again on his sachets :? Can you scribble over them? Once the diprobase has worked of course.

    Must upload photos today...remember Toni!!

    Love to everyone

Morning all a lovely one it is..
Joan I do watch Britain got talent..much better than X factor you never know what or who will appear.. hope you both have a good day in the sunshine..
Aiden you are right about the patience you do lose it has you get older..I used to make jewellery many many years ago...think i was in my 20s and made a fortune one Christmas.. well put..about feeling helpless..I suppose its a sort of coping mechanism..you must have seen all sorts when nursing ..and have to take that home with you..but when its your family so much worse..now keep smothering those hands..does it flare in the hot weather or is it anytime of the year..hope it stays at bay..
Toni its lovely to hear that Lucy is now doing what teens do and enjoying themselves..nice to see the water butts full..every little counts..yes Johnny Morris is an excellent choice .. :D
Kath all these eggs..must say they are delicious..and we have many girls..think we might need a farm shop now..
Kerrin its good to hear you like your rheumy it does help when you trust them..I can imagine how bitter sweet watching the tennis is..who knows in the near future you might just play again..but so nice to be able to enjoy the swimming.. :)
Carol welcome back..no wonder you are shattered..but very happy having seen your family :D good on Lillie for not crying I always think what a shock that must have been bless her..
    Love

morning to all, bright, some sunshine, but pleasant with it, no melting moments, yet...

Hi Kerrin Good that you have faith in your Rheumy, always a plus when you feel that they want to actually help.
Good that the folic acid is being increased, just need to sort out something to stop you feeling sickly.
I am negative to R factor too.

I guess watching the tennis is a bit of a bitter pill, but try to enjoy it. I am the same when I have been in hospital since retiring with ill health, seeing the staff flying around, thinking, I used to do that. Sigh.

Good that you like swimming though, I would only be able to splash about, I get angina on exertion,  A hot tub, that's what we need.

Like Toni says, don't worry about trying to catch up with all the goings on in the cafe, as long as we know you are as ok as can be.

Hi Joan hope you manage to get out and about in the nice weather, a better temperature, I can cope with pleasant and not humid.
I remember now, your boot stays on for a bit longer this time round.

Hi Toni - I think they assess our village and the next village at various times, to see who wins best kept. The roads are so bad though, full of potholes, I keep complaining and they come with a teaspoon of tar
Usually the next village wins more best kept than we do, I think the fact that they have a stream that runs through, with beautiful gardens around it (the villagers take care of it on a rota). If you google Waddington, you will see it.
I think there is a duck race this coming week end.

Lemurs are on their way and bush babies, they are SO gorgeous, we have to have some. I will ask the keepers to prepare a big pen for them, with trees and all things natural to their needs.

Yes, I woke at some time and Pepe was just settling onto his pillow, next to me, so they did head off early doors. He said it was very nice and that the sky went on forever, bless.
They were too early for the ice cream man, but they enjoyed their tuna, watching the seagulls. I think Miss Sleek went off with her net. :animal_busy: he is catching up now.

Cookie likes water, we have found her sat in the sink before, in the washing up bowl - Siamese, they are a wee bit bonkers. She has been shouting the odds this morning. We have loads of wild garlic around and about and you can smell it in the air. She likes the smell of garlic, so maybe that set her off on one.:lol:

I am hiding the sachet numbers, he has eaten one of the ones that have magic vet liking potions in them.

Diprobase is at my side :)

Pictures, yes, we need more pictures :)

Hi Barbara not a fan of BGT, or the X Factor, we used to watch X F but it became too predictable and scripted.
We have enough trouble keeping up with all the tennis. Not so bad when we are in all day, like today.

Patience, mmm, it soon goes now. Mr Grumpy, no, not really.

You must have made a lot of jewellery, well done you for making some money, rightly so, it takes time and skill.

Oh yes, I think most nurses have seen just about everything that life can throw at you. I used to take it home with me, but then I had to stop doing that, you had to disconnect at some point.
When it is your family members, things are very different. I remember when Dad was in ICU and the nurse was chatting to me, (I was still nursing then) I remember saying to her, I don't know what you mean
she said, come on Aidan, you do know, it's just shock, she was right, I did know what she was talking about.

When I was a patient, they made sure I was in a side room, to keep me from being too nosey :lol: :?

Pompholyx just appears as if from nowhere, OH gets it too, he had hundreds of tiny lumps on his palms the other day. They can appear as blisters, I used to get them on my feet, I remember 5 coming up in one day. The weather doesn't seem to make any difference.

I hope your Niece is ok, I am sure you are keeping an eye. ((()))

Well I will potter along, not sure if Mum n Dad are popping in today. If not, we will see them at the GC tomorrow.

Enjoy the sunshine, says me who avoids it at all costs.

    Till later XXX Aidan
XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).
