We walked to the benches today, and had a sit down. Both benches were placed in memory of gentlemen named Bill. On was a local (and very popular) Councillor. Lots of birds in the Community garden this morning. Among other things, we bought a couple of Pain au Raisin from the Co-op.

    Carol, more lovely photos. :D

So they are going through everyone's PIP claims to make sure those with mental disabilities are treated fairly. My neighbour will be pleased. She has Agoraphobia and panic attacks. She recently had her PIP reduced because she can PHYSICALLY get out, but her conditions prevent her from doing so. She should be reinstated hopefully.

Afternoon to one and all. Chilly day, but dry and clear.

Glad you are enjoying two Birthdays Carol, yes, indeed, just as the Queen herself does and why not. I hope you have a lovly meal out with Mr T tonight.

The necklace is lovely, as was the cake, very nicely made it was too. Clever lady.

Thank you for the pictures, not everyone can get or uses FB, so it is nice to see what has been going on with yourself and your lovely family :)

Good to hear you are warm Joan, finally, apart from Sue's radiator, the boiler is working and you can actually adjust it without it going Kaput.

We are feeling a bit better thank you. Barking occasionally, but less so each day, thank goodness.

Hi Barbara, Roger is indeed a great ambassador for Tennis, he has and does, so much, to help youngsters start to play and enjoy the game and hopefully go on to great things. He does a lot for charity that we don't hear about.
I just get a feeling in my water, that he might well announce his retirement. I am sure he will receive special awards when he does. A legend in his own lifetime.

We went round to Dads, he had already cleared the hall, taken all Mum's clothes out of the other wardrobe and put them in the lounge.
He was ok, I left B and Dad sorting them into bags, for the charity shop, he was ok, happy that someone else will make good use of so many new things.
I sorted lots of paperwork out, filled in more forms for the DWP (they never end)

Then it was way past lunchtime, the man came to measure up for the door, to go with his windows. Might as well have everything changed.

So, off into town to cancer research shop, they were pleased to accept all the things.
Then back across the road to Costa, for toasties and cakes and lots of coffee (maybe too much coffee as I am a bit jittery  :? )

Back to Dads, finished off the paperwork, everything is in one large folder now, divided up into sections, so Dad knows that anything to do with anything, is in there. He was very grateful for the help.

Home, not long ago, now need to collapse in a heap for a while. Head spinning from forms, receipts, statements, invoices...........you name it............

I had a nice letter from the House of Commons, I had written to our MP, (who has helped us many times before with various things), about the state of the roads in and around our villages, people blowing tyres on horrendous potholes and the roads really like cart tracks.

He is onto the Big Chief of Lancashire Council, with a copy of my letter, asking them to get it sorted and telling them what a shambles it is, for all concerned. :D:D

I hope you managed to get the flooring for your bathroom, nothing wrong with being picky.

Nice that you walked to the benches Kath, I always picture them in my mind. Good that they are in memory of a very popular Councillor. Lots of birdies too :)

Pain au Raisin, very nice too.

I am glad they are going through the PIP process to make sure that people who have mental health problems are looked after. It is not an easy thing to admit to suffering from and I myself have faced it head on in the past, some of it still ongoing. It is often overlooked as it is invisible to others. Sadly, so many people assume that a disability is always immediately seen in a person.

I hope your neighbour has her PIP reinstated to the full amount.

Those pastries look yummy, I will get some nice hot custard to go with them and some clotted cream for Toni, she is rather partial to a scoop. No need for me to bake a cake again, I don't think I have the ooomph now.

Pepe said Sleek was in her finery again today, showing off for their trip to Hogwarts, which I assume is as the week end, the train ticket came down the chimney that we don't have :lol: :?

Hope you are all ok Toni and your neighbour is getting nearer to coming home. t4591 t115006

Love and hi to everyone else, time for me to potter a little, before T and biscuits. Back is singing to me and it is NOT in tune.

Evening all sorry to be late on. Had a busy day today one way or another. Unsolicited visitor this morning then had to whiz Lucy over for her post cancer counselling. After that I helped her fill in her epilepsy action plan for work and her first set of time sheets 

Phew!! I know how you two felt today Aidan!!

Miss Sleek is looking rather attractive ATM I must say I was wondering why, but can see it’s due to an event due at Hogwarts this weekend. They were out earlier for definite as her mac was hanging up and her broom also still warm. I think it might be the archery awards ceremony or something :?

I am pleased to read that B’s Dad was very brave sorting out Mum’s clothes and letting them go very brave ((()))for you all I know it will have affected you all.

Good all paperwork is in order.

Much better news that you are only barking a little. Pepe has verified this news even though he is still using his Drs kit.

So you had an official reply from your MP!! Go you!! I am very proud of you  :D

Thanks for the custard for my pain au raisin  I only had a vat load to myself

Pain au raisin from Kath lovely I’ll have some. Good news about the PIP reviews too. Where are all my birds then? :(

What a lovely idea to save your Mum’s dressing gown and make it into a cushion Barbara.
I hope you found some good bathroom flooring. :?

How good is it that you had to turn the heating DOWN Joan! I just hope Sue is warm enough in her room 

Carol great photos what a lovely family you have. Your youngest GD is very pretty bless her. So I was early with my birthday wishes?

Never mind better to wish you a happy birthday twice than not at all!

Hi to all, a wet night here, rain tapping on the windows.

Hi Toni, don't worry, it must have been one of those days. with visitors and then taking Lucy to her counselling. Action plan for work, great idea and reassuring too. Time sheets, :)

We are all in need of a lie down with cucumber on our eyes.

It must be the archery presentations, Pepe came out dressed like Robin Hood  :lol: not quite sure those Lincoln Green tights did him any favours :lol: so he didn't take a selfie.

Yes, the brooms have been out, I can hear Pepe's broom fizzing away and now he is gliding............bless, they are very excited. Did Sleeks ticket arrive, for the train to Hogwarts? I guess it will be in her wardrobe of delights.

I think Dad was as ok as possible with sorting the wardrobe. He had obviously been thinking about it and we had said a few times, we need to let things go to cancer research shop. Glad he took it upon himself to get everything out, ready for B to help him put it into different bags. It is always a strange feeling. I remember from sorting my Mum's, a life of 80 plus years and it is going into bags, for the charity shop, or clothing bank. Where did the person go, who brought these clothes to life...........

Thank you for the hugs t4591

Pepe is still being cautious with his Drs bag and doing regular checks of temp and oxygen sats. Less barking, for sure.

Our MP is really supportive of all his constituents and always replies and assists in so many local matters and personal matters. He has been our MP for over 25 years, so he knows who to get in touch with, going right to the top.
It is always nice to get letters from the House of Commons. Having had so many, wonder what the Postie thinks :lol:

It is impossible to have too much custard, it is milk, after all and rich in calcium, forget the sugar etc........... :? :? :D

I think all the birdies are having a great time in our hedges. Mrs Wren is too cute, bobbing up and down, peeping over the gutter, catching spiders and "bugs".

I wonder if Barbara is still in the flooring showroom?  I know she like to take her time and is a little choosy :?

I hope you had a lovely dinner with Mr T Carol, lots of lovely pictures to see as well, thank you for sharing. t69044

Today, post letters, call in vets for more untampered with food, pop into Sainsb,
Thursday, Dad to podiatry at the surgery
Friday they deliver his new chair and start the new windows. Busy times..........
Week end, do nothing. (like that will ever happen   ).

Time for me to potter, sort out something yummy for breakfast. Oh, talking of yummy, I had a very nice almond and cherry slice in Costa today, I could quite easily have had two, or even three :? :? greedy, I know, it's a sin.

Hi to Carol, Christine, Kerrin, Mig, Toady, Elizabeth, DD, Charrisse and all.

Take care, it's going to get chilly this week.

Love and many sparkles. t115006 t115006

Just downloaded and printed out some useful BLF info, with forms to fill in.

Joan, we can buy small bottles of fruit juice (orange or apple) from Co-op and have a drink before walking home. No hot drinks though. :?

Sunny here Barbara, although we had a wet start and the weather man said the 'S' word possibly for Saturday.

Afternoon to all. Every kind of weather imaginable today, from blue skies, to hail, snow, sleet, rain, winds, bloomin cold too tcold tcold cfly

Hi Joan, I hope you miss the snow, it is a case of guess where it will land at the moment.
Pendle is indeed a lovely place, a very famous hill, with many walks. Sadly I can no longer enjoy the walking bit, but it is nice to drive up over the top and look back into the valley. There is snow on the highest part at the moment, which is no surprise.

I hope you are ok and the heating is doing as it should.

Hi Barbara - isn't if just so dark, with lots of weather.

So, you did choose the flooring, very good, even managing to leave before the store closed  Now it is out of stock, not good and very annoying. Did you have a second favourite to choose?

We did have a busy day, not recovered yet. I kind of napped a little, with strange half awake, half asleep dreams.......... :? :?

Dad seemed fine, difficult as it was. Some charity shops do know how to charge now and the bargains that my Mum used to get, seem a long time ago now.
Dad was happy for things to go to Cancer Research, but, they are all good and do great works, hospices, age uk, heart foundation, air ambulance...........

I have quite the collection of envelopes and letters from our MP, plus one from Downing Street. Just need one from Her RH QE II and I am sorted :D

We rattled our way into town, over the endless potholes   Called in at the Post Office, Vets, then Sainsb. They have had a major power outage for over two days, so all the freezer and fresh foods had to be cleared completely. They were back on today and were just re stocking the freezers. Bet they have lost a few ££ to the other supermarkets.

Has Niamh been over to see you, I know they have kept their distance while you have had the coughs etc.

Hi Kath You have been busy printing out information sheets.

No hot drinks from the Co Op, gosh, most places seem to have a Costa machine at least, to entice people in.

You have had some sunshine, very nice. We did, for about two minutes  Snow, the man said snow............ hcold we don't want any more, we know what it looks like.

Hi Toni, are you out and about today, hospital visits ? Hope you are taking it steady away. Says me.  kettle calling pot and all that.:lol:

Hi to Carol, Kerrin, Mig Christine, Toady, DD and all. It must be time for something to go with our cups of T.

Let me go bake something quick. Love to all, take care and keep warm. XX Aidan

Hi to one and all - well, as long as I look at the moon, I cannot see that it is a blue, or red, or blood moon. It is nice and bright though, shining on the snow that fell a while ago

Hope everyone is as ok as can be, keeping warm and safe.

Not a great deal to report, managed to have a siesta.

B is busy with his seed beading, I am just pottering about and doing little bits.

I found these and we need some in our cake tin, in the cafe, to eat at will. Rainbow Magic Unicorn Cupcakes

All our lovelies are resting in the Sanctuary, the Super Vets were very pleased with our assembled animals. I think the wombats had their teeth trimmed a little

Sleek and Pepe are planning their time at Hogwarts, excited to be going and meeting up with Mrs Darcey, Cuddles, Tomi and Jericat and so many more. They have a wonderful time in the great hall, riding on special brooms, that belong to Hogwarts.

Well. I won't dally. I wanted to wish everyone a restful night.

Let me see what I can rustle up for breakfast. Love and Sparkles to everyone. XXXX Aidan

Just a quick pop in to say I'm ok.

Sorry to have been AWOL and hope you are all well.

We are having a 'partial power cut!' Everything is dim no heating or hot water. So posting quickly while I can.

Daisycat has had her vaccinations (in leukaemia) this morning so no doubt Pepe will have heard all about it. :?

I have been to see my neighbour in hospital and will fill you in later how she is.

Choir practise later so make sure you're ready Barbara.

Afternoon to all, poof and the day has gone  :?

Had a busy day, sorting lots of nick nacks at Dads and taking some excess furniture to the YMCA shop, ready for the new chair coming tomorrow at 8am, no, I won't be there to see it delivered. :?

Into town, for his Podiatry appointment, then to the T room for lunch, which was nice, then back to do some more sorting. He is happy for some more smaller items of furniture to go to the YMCA (no barbara, stop singing now):lol: it's fun to stay at the...............

We are doing well, getting him to have such a sort and thin down of "stuff" that gathers.

Then to Homebase to get some more bubble wrap, new washing up bowl, his other one had a hole in it.......... then to Sainsb for a few bits, then home and it is gone 4.00.

    And Breathe.

Hi Kerrin, glad you are feeling a bit better and the sports are going well, apart from football, which we won't mention. Far too cold for football tcold
Good that the AB's have now finished, let's hope that is the last of any chest infection.

Hope the PE lessons went well. t115006 t115006

Hi Barbara I am glad the Ciabatta was just what you needed and also the Unicorn cakes, they are just magical.

I intend to get a letter from Buckingham Palace at some point, even if I have to write to the HRH herself, about the state of the roads. I know Her Majesty has a soft spot for the Ribble Valley and often spoke of retiring here. (I wonder if they have a house tucked away in the hills and valleys, I guess no one would know).

Ah bless, Niamh has come over and is playing with the girl from next door. I bet it is lovely to see her. How is mum doing?

I think the roads are in a state, right across the land. How we have not blown tryres I don't know and yes, it shakes your bones and joints something terrible, just getting into town.

I think I saw some of the extreme cakes, maybe I should record the series. I was very good today and didn't have a cake in the T room, enjoyed my Bacon and Egg muffin and some chips. I could see the Treacle Sponge slices, looking at me though :? :?

Oh dear, no heating and no hot water Toni, that is not good. Are you well wrapped up tcold.

Miss Sleek has been on the phone to Pepe, he said that she had been to the evil vets and she is like a pin cushion, with all the needles she had to have - he fainted apparently, when she told him

Do let us know how your neighbour is and enjoy choir practice. Barbara is already in the shed  tuning up.

Right, I must get on and potter. Love to everyone, will catch up again later.

Had some very good news yesterday our youngest GD has got a place at east kent college, doing child care level 3 the top level no less at not quite 16yrs old her birthday is in 10 days time providing she gets the right grades in her GCE'S .which she will be doing in just about 10 weeks time. so we are very proud grandparents.

I have spent the last 2 days getting my new website up and running for my new charity card business which launched today we can now order the cards and get selling. this is the one that replaces the previous one that went into administration at the end of July last year.

had a lovely meal out with Mr T on Tuesday night. and even believe it or not at Tuesday mornings SW weigh in i had only lost 1lb how i did that i don't know.

Hi to one and all. Cold, frosty, all the stars are shining tonight. tcold

So you need a hobby Barbara, that doesn't need thumbs....maybe you could help Bill with his seed bead bracelets    No? Me neither. I do admire them though.

I hope choir practice went well, I could hear signing in the distance, as Sleek was on the phone talking to Pepe while Mummy was out. She is still in distress after the vet using her as a dart board. Hope you didn't start singing YMCA and doing all the hand signals too :lol:

You would have been more than welcome to help Barbara. We could have done the coffee's and fussing in the kitchen. I steered clear of moving loads of ornaments, ready for the window fitters on Tuesday. I kept saying to Dad, look how much more room you have got, with less "stuff" around.

I did want a cake, but I was good. I will save my scone addiction until we go to the GC. Hot Cross Buns, one thing I cannot abide. They are totally indigestible to me

Dad will love his new chair, he will spend most of the time asleep I am sure  Still, it matters not. We will wake him up at regular intervals.

I am glad you neighbour seems to be doing ok. I have been on AD for a long time now. Pain is very wearing and AD often help a little.
So her ex is out of the country at present. He will be in contempt of court if he does not bother to show, another string to her bow. I know you will be there to chat to her and help whenever you can.

just a small piece of syrup cake will be fine :)

You bought a sports car !! Oh my.

You are very welcome to the Birthday wishes Carol. Glad you had a lovely meal out with Mr T

The pictures are great, I have seen all the others on FB too, they are very good, you all had a great time by the looks of things.

Well done to your youngest GD, I am sure she will do well in her GCSE's and then enjoy her college course in child care. We used to teach care assistants up to level three NVQ, then some would go on to do their nurse training.

Loving the new website, very smart indeed, great cards and colours and drawings t4591

The cake was very good, clever use of the laminate and it being of the speedway too.

Hope all the lovelies were ok, any new additions? I know what Johnny is like for bringing in newbies.

Hi Joan, we are not so bad thanks, still coughing occasionally, but nothing like it was.
I hope you have a nice time shopping, take care and wrap up warm.

Toni, I trust the visit to see your neighbour was ok, how is she doing, keeping her in our thoughts and prayers.

Miss Sleek is a bit more reassured now and of course with Pepe fainting, that made her laugh and took her mind off the terrible needles that she had to endure.

Hi to everyone else, Christine, Mig, Toady, Elizabeth, Charrisse and all.

Best move, it is after 1 and time to potter a little.

Been round to see neighbour who was breathless and has some chest pain / discomfort - she is going to see Dr today, but I said promise me you won't hesitate in getting an ambulance if you are concerned, remember, we have been here before. Could well be a chest infection. :? :? but not having a stethescope any more, I cannot be sure.

Anyway, we will see how she is today.

    Love to all XXX Aidan t115006 t115006 t4591 t4591

    Morning everyone!

Aidan tell Pepe it was one needle just one with everything in it  She is prone to dramatics isn't she? Mind you all cats are. Oddly enough Miss Slimkins (who had put on weight ;) ) sort of likes to scare him, but then worries about him when he does. Gets all a fluster.

Barbara sang like an angel and arrived in time (via the shed and her cider) for tea and biccies. So you can hear us then?

My poor neighbour is still in, but ready for discharge. Unfortunately the care package needs to be set up all over again so she is calling herself a bed-blocker. She is in a larger non-medical ward where she is the youngest by far, but has a lovely view. We had a good natter before the minister arrived and Pom was due too.

Thanks you for keeping her in your prayers - I very much hope your neighbour is ok and that it really was 'only' a chest infection. t2507

I have had my healthy breakfast plenty foo fruit and plenty of cream (calcium  ) ta very much. Treacle pud was lovely I had some when I got back from choir practise.

Joan I hope the shopping trip goes ok today. Our heating came on before I left for choir thank goodness!

Carol the wee ones look adorable on your lap!!

Your youngest GD was being and angel and good to see the sisters so close:)

Excellent news about your youngest GD! I think that's a lovely career choice and I am sure she will do well in her GCSEs fingers crossed.

Also good news that you can buy and sell your cards again with the 'replacement' company. Well done for putting in the hard work it must have taken.

You STILL lost 1lb! I do think that SW diet is a good one. Honestly! Even after a meal out. It changes habits for life doesn't it?

Kerrin good to hear you sound to be on the mend now :) I bet you are looking forward to a quiet weekend now to rest up though :)

Barbara I worry about my fish when the electricity plays up and normally my neighbour with her hoist nebuliser and C-Pap but she is safely in hospital.

Your singing was very good I could tell you'd been practising.

How many biscuits did you have??!!! they thought is was me

How is your poorly neighbour doing? Still on the mend I hope.

Better get on I have a busy day ahead today :)

    Love to everyone
