Evening all
Well that's another dentist appointment done one more to go in 2 weeks time and all will be done and next appointment I should have dentures. no actual treatment done today to the teeth it was just a trial with my dentures to check the fit before next time when the broken tooth that has to come out will be done. and I will have my dentures on the same day.
meal last night was good as usual I had a very nice seafood linguine very tasty it was too. followed by crème caramel. I am not going to the next one because it falls on the same day as my next dentist visit so I am not going. Mr T will still go. Yesterday I spotted one of those spid creatures he was dispatched back outside again very quickly.
Toni thanks for the bush baby today in the pusskin size cloak today it sat on my lap quite happily holding my hand. and well done to Kath's pet Spid for giving the cloak a one over for you all so that we had no problems with 8 legged peeples.
Aidan what can I say About the strawberry and lemon but just the thing before the dentist trip so yummy. so Mother was on hand to keep the pusskins in order under the cloak giving them one of her looks. and definitely no Quidditch games allowed. I had the bushbaby wrapped in a pusskin sized cloak on my lap but I don't think the dentist noticed if he did he never said anything I too have a very friendly lady spid called Florence who help those are a bit nervous of the 8 legged peeps she is now patrolling your living rooms, she is very good she really gave yesterdays 8-legs in my hall a good telling off so is ready to help.
yes very busy day yesterday. and yes a nice big cuppa tea was had when we arrived home last night after the meal and then not long after it was bed I sure slept well last night.
Hi Sue Hope the man comes to fix the heating today for you
Kath I hear Clarence did a good job with the cloak before my dentist trip today. I too now have a pet lady spider called Florence who is patrolling our living rooms. sending you these to keep you extra warm t120006 t120006 t120005 t120005 t120005
Barbara don't worry the cloak scooped you up this morning when it did the rounds for the appointment it does it so gently we don't even notice. Dentist was fine now have to wait 2 weeks and that will be the last appointment.
Now time for pottering me thinks
and then a nice cup of tea
love and sparkles to everyone t4591 t4591 t115006 t115006Stay positive always👍xx0 -
Hi to all - a quiet evening here, browsing, pottering, more pottering.......... it is an art form.
Hi there Carol. Glad we were all there under the cloak for your appointment at the Dentist. t4591 t115006
The little bush baby was very happy to sit on your lap and hold hands, quiet as a mouse.
No injections, that's good. Sorting out for the denture fitting on your next visit. Checking bite and the like, with blue wax paper per chance? It can take a bit of getting things spot on.
Glad you enjoyed your Church meal out on Thursday. Seafood Linguine sounds very nice indeed, followed by creme brulee we like creme brulee
You had a rogue spid-- in your hall, naughty, good job you were there to dispatch said 8 legs, outside. Now you have a pet spid-- too, Florence. Clarence and Florence, has a nice ring to it. Good that they are patrolling both lounge areas and bedrooms
Of course the strawberry and lemon muffins were just yummy, with lots of cups of T and or coffee, as required.
Mother was indeed under the cloak, having given out one of her looks, to keep order  bless her, ever since she had the rainbow dew dropon her whisker, she has felt very important indeed.
Such a to do in the ravine and the enchanted forest, much muttering amongst the trees and foliage. Gasps of wonder and a lengthy queue of nymphs to view the rainbow droplet. They will need a teeny tiny T room, to give succour to the travelling guests.
I guessed you would have slept well, after your long day out, cups of T, potter, then bed :animal_busy:
We are all hoping that Joan and Sue have had their heating sorted, it is grossly unfair that the association can leave them with a dubious heating system, with cold rooms. I have the MP on my fav list
Kath will be more than pleased that Clarence has a partner, to carry out spid-- patrol, for those of us who have "ninny syndrome" when it comes to 8 legs :? :?
Sleek came over with Mrs D at siesta time, there was quite a shrieking session, I think the rainbow dew has caused such a commotion in the magical circles t115006 t115006 Mrs D brought some tuna - I think it was tuna, definitely fishy  :? They didn't stay too long as Mrs D wanted to be with Mummy to make sure she was improving.
Sleek said that Lucy was a little better and all was quite calm in her best kept village Bless, she is a love isn't she Toni.
Hi to everyone else, in and around about. Hope all are taking care
At home this week end, with Dad popping in this morning for coffee and croissants, then umpteen family on Sunday afternoon - boxes of cakes at the ready.
Well, I had best be having another potter about. Some bits to wash up and throw around

Hi Joan! Did the man come and fix the heating??? he better have doe it was cold the night be fore last night! Ah I see he came and now yours is the only rad working!!! They are so useless!! They had better turn up today. :x :x :x
I love chana (aka channa) or chickpeas Kath. Looking at all those ingredients it looks very good for our health. Very fibrous and at least 1 of our 5-a day
I'd be ok on I'm a Celebrity!!
My back is iffy this morning so I am not sure yet whether I'll make my walk.....we shall see. Tablets are being taken as I type along with inhalers and other assorted treats
Clarence is a good boy keeping us and your knicker drawer safe
Barbara don't worry you weren't too late Kari's cut is healing but you should see the bruises!!!
I will be sure to leave Niamh some food then when I am out at choir and she comes around. Savoury or sweet? any particular favourites??
I am tempted to try the spiced pears too Paul loves fruit and cooked pears is high up on his list
I hope everyone is doing ok your way ((()))
Aidan those strawberry cream slices!!! ooooh they slid down well in one go! I didn't face plant at all no!! Just a fair few crumbs for Noo-noo! well about 10 for each cake so that's...erm about 200 crumbs.
Well I imagine you will have started the extra immacculisation required for this week's visitors??? If you are like me you do that, but then still do more when they are actually due
The pusskins were well-behaved for The dentist yesterday :? I know the bush-babies would be, but the cats? That is odd
Was it you who asked to see Kari's bike?
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OxaBwDNDeDflPnVZHEgwbBZO5pbnWAl6/view?usp=sharing
For everyone to see. If you zoom in you can see Lucy putting her shoes on to have a go on it! Mrs D having some water.
Frosted dew?! Did they succeed in 'sourcing' any? I know Sleek can fly super-fast if she needs to, but with Tosca on board
When Mother came over to see the 'rainbow droplets' in Sleek's ickle house she spotted 'intruder cat' :x oh dear me! She was outside as fast as her bones would let her and re-drew her protection spell. She says he is a 'land-cat' whatever that means
Sleek was full of her 'high tea' at yours! Mrs Darcey brought herrings  as well as tuna and they had a great feast and laugh (aka shriek!!) Yes our little best kept village is all peaceful no villagy fall-outs atm
Mrs Darcey is being an excellent nurse as far as cuts and bruises are concerned and even stays on Kari's lap during coughing fits
On the subject of the rainbow dew droplet (Sleek has taken a photo so is showing anyone who will look) and the visitor queues. I think Talula Trixibelle is going to start a T room up. The soup kitchen wasn't really enough and T rooms also have 'rest rooms' in them if you know what I mean. I suspect the queues to diminish soon, but it may become an annual pilgrimage t115006
It was sister Euphemia then who fell off the chair? I suspected as much. The wimple was on yes just awry. Somewhat
I can't imagine playing the organ for a funeral. Singing is bad enough
Thank you for the hash browns lovey and healthy too being baked not fried. I have left some of my green tomato chutney for anyone who fancies some?
Carol is Florence a 'friend' of Clarence by any chance?
Kath's pet spider was a great help ensuring the cloak was super clear for our journey to the dentist with you.
The bush-baby is so sweet holding hands with you in secret
We will all be ready for 2 weeks time because having that tooth out might not be pleasant but the false teeth will be fabulous. can't wait to see your new smile m0150
Sounds like a lovely meal out. No you you will not be up to the next meal unless you only have soup :?
Well I really had better get on now.
Love to everyone
Toni xxx0 -
How lovely, Clarence and Florence are getting on really well. My only worry is the reputation lady spids have when dealing with the men in their life. They are canibalistic you know. :?
Oh Toni, Kari's bike is a real dream machine. How clever of you to catch Lucy and Mrs D on the same photo.
I've been on the BHF again, they have such tasty and healthy food on there.
Peach and apricot sponge pudding
Category: Dessert | Serves: 4-6
Prep time: 20 minutes | Cooking time: 1 hour 15 minutes
INGREDIENTS
2 tablespoons golden syrup
40g (1 1/2oz) ready-to-eat dried peaches, chopped
40g (1 1/2oz) ready-to-eat dried apricots, chopped
85g (3oz) sunflower spread
85g (3oz) caster sugar
1 large egg
115g (40z) self-raising flour, sifted
4 teaspoons semi-skimmed milk
A few drops of vanilla extract
Lightly grease an 850ml (1 1/2 pint) pudding basin; spoon golden syrup into base of prepared basin. Combine dried fruit; scatter it on top of syrup and set aside.
Put sunflower spread, sugar, egg, flour, milk and vanilla extract in a bowl; beat together until thoroughly mixed. Spoon mixture over fruit in basin, spreading evenly. Cover top of basin with a double layer of pleated, non-stick baking paper; secure with string.
Put basin in top half of a steamer placed over a pan of boiling water. Cover with pan lid; steam for about 1 1/4 hours or until pudding is risen and cooked, topping up boiling water as necessary.
Remove basin from steamer; carefully remove cover from basin. Loosen pudding around edges with a round-bladed knife and turn out onto a warmed serving plate; serve hot, cut into wedges. Serve with low-fat custard, if desired.
Variations
Other ready-to-eat dried fruit such as pears, sultanas or dates can be substituted for the peaches or apricots. Try using a little finely grated lemon or orange zest in place of the vanilla extract.
Cook's tips
Cool any leftover sponge pudding, wrap and keep it in a cool place. Serve warm (reheated) or cold the next day.

Hi to all, a pleasant day, some sunshine, quite mild really. m0150
Hi Joan and Sue - All my problems, well, they kind of all have to get along together, sometimes one shouts louder than another, but you have to keep going, that is our aim. ((()))
I cannot believe the engineers, as soon as they are gone. The only one they didn't look at, is working and all the rest are cold. It is beyond a joke, I am very annoyed for you both.
I hope that someone does come out and fixes it, again, at some point today. Silver will have to leave some extra magic squares, they will startle the engineer into action t115006 t115006
It is forecast to be colder next week, with chilly nights. I expect there will be some snow in Scotland and on any high peaks in the Lakes and the Moors. Pendle often gets a covering of snow, early in the winter season.
Afternoon Toni, Sleek was telling Mother that Mummy's back was shouting, some extra sparkles and hugs t115006 t115006 ((())) to ease things as much as possible. I can sympathise totally. We have glass backs don't we, so many of us
The cream slices are messy if eaten either whole  or dissected as I like to do, saving the cream bit, for the last face full
There has been some extra fussing going on. I am preening and prepping for tomorrow afternoon. Then when they are all gone, I have to go round and change towels and do all the immaculising of the "facilities" Washing and drying done, all bins emptied and taken down to the BIG bins - I am not allowed to make any more rubbish today  :? Mother has had her "powder room immaculised and refilled. There will be shrieking when she discovers it has been "done".
Mother was very stern in her looks at the Dentists, Sleek and Mrs D were not allowed to even whisper   says Mother, who wakes me up, shrieking her head off
It was my good self who was eager to see Auntie Kari's bike. It is wonderful Lucy getting ready for a ride out and Mrs D having a little refreshment too t4591
Oh yes, Mother got the frosted dew and Sleek flew the two miles from Pendle top, to our ravine, at a speed Mother cannot begin to tell me about.  It arrived with the Nymphs, still frozen. They are both doing SO well, Hermione and Minnerva are suitably impressed. t115006 t115006
Yes, Intruder cat has been around, I wonder if that is why Mother has had a rather stern look on her face. A land cat, ah, they cannot fly a broom, they have refused to be educated at Hogwarts and remain tied to the land. I think they get a bit jealous of our puskins who are highly trained and can fly and practice kindly magic spells.
It must have been the herrings that were a little whiffy yesterday. Shrieking like banshees they were
Glad all is quiet in Sleeks village. We keep out of any " they said, we said, she said, he said............." Cannot be doing, we have enough to be going on with
Talula Trixibelle is indeed starting a T room in the ravine. The rush is still on at the moment, but as you say, it will be a place of pilgrimage, to see the rainbow dew. Rest rooms, of course, even our little Wood Nymphs have to go to the powder rooms.
Oh bless, poor Sister Euphemia, shehe is a one, was there gin, in the shed, if so, it could be to blame   :? :? I will mention it to Mother Superior and she will have a quiet word. Most unbecoming of a Nun.
It was hard, playing for funerals. Imagine when I had to play for the funeral of the Church Organist, who taught me, she was a wonderful Lady. t4591 I was beside myself.
I had some of the tomato chutney with the baked hash browns, all crispy and yummy, with a few slices of french bread and butter.
Hi Kath, I never thought about Florence and Clarence, our spid--s of protection. The ladies are not very nice to the males, but I am sure these two will get along just fine. No eating of friends allowed
I am all over the peach and apricot sponge, let me go get some extra thick vanilla custard, to go with it. Thank you kindly. I might take more than one helping :? :? no one will notice.
Have you been down to your benches lately? I know it has been cold recently though. Supposed to be settled and cooler into next week.
Hugs in case there are any ouchies ((()))
Hi to Barbara, I am sure you will be along soon, probably after I post. No need for me to do any baking, as Kath has made a lovely sponge pudding.
I had best go sort out my pills and potions. It is that time of day again.
Not taking 80mg of Statins, way too much for my system to handle. 60 is ok, just.

Evening all..another lovely sunny day today ...
Aiden I just knew the men in whites coats were looking for me..so I hid under the cloak
So you were that relived you had a ciggy in the car...aww bless who can blame you..just order anther pair of trousers.. so all is sparkling for your visitors tomorrow..I could send Niamh round to finish off..mind you watch the hoover...like I said she just drops them.. I think that 60 statins will be enough we dont want that tummy poorly on top of everything..I have only been on then for 9 years..I wonder if we could ever come off them..
I was covered in cream with the strawberry cakes but they were worth it.. and the hash browns were lovely thankyou..
Carol I am glad to hear the cloak picked me up on the way to the dentist..and now just a couple of visits then all done..the meal sounded delicious...
Toni Kari's bike is brilliant my eldest brother and I had one very similar when we were little..my mum cleaned for a doctor and he gave it to us..glad to hear Lucy and Kari are recovering... now that back needs rest..we dont want it going on you..
Would you believe Niamh loves vegetables ..her favorite is curly kale a veggie roast dinner would do her
Kath the pudding sounds just right for the cold evenings..a note to myself learn hubby to cook..apart form chips..
Oh Joan I am more fuming that the heating is playing up again..hopefully he has been back...but wont hold my breath
We have a family of spiders..we found a large on in the kitchen and before I could catch it with the catcher it went under the units..so our son had a look with a torch.. mum and a few large babies
And we have our credit card back... oh and our flu jabs are on the 26th..a walk in for 2 hours..
Right better move

Evening all
Had church open morning today and then dinner out with Mr T after as we did not have one yesterday because of Mr T playing for the funeral. and me at dentist and me meeting my friend after lunch.
Aidan Don't worry Florence has been told NO eating friends is allowed especially Clarence, she has promised she wont because she says she doesn't want one of mothers looks because they frighten her. The hash brown were lovely for breakfast thank you. I'm sure all your immaculising is worth it for tomorrow, and afternoon tea is enjoyed by all. and a little tea room with rest room for the little nymphs how sweet and I can imagine mother hanging on very tight with sleeks dubiously speedy flying into the ravine. :? :?
Kath Yes Florence and Clarence are getting on very well Don't worry Florence has been told NO eating friends is allowed especially Clarence, she has promised she wont because she says she doesn't want one of mothers looks because they frighten her. And she likes Clarence to much to eat him so I think he his safe. and the Peach and Apricot puddings went very nicely after my tea super scrummy
Toni The bush baby whispered to me that it so very quite under the cloak that it was worried that every one had gone home and left us. What a great photo of Karis bike with Lucy and pusskin in background. Florence is now indeed a friend of Clarence. looking forward to the new dentures they are well matched to the real teeth the dentist gave me a mirror to see if I was happy with how they looked. I think Mr T must of had a different dentist in the same surgery because he was told to keep his in at night for a week and then he could take them out each night to clean them. I have been told that I only need to do that for the first night 2 nights at the most. the meal was nice but I have already said I will not go to the next one.
Joan The dentist visits are going well the next one is the last one. I will have the badly broken tooth out then the dentures in on the same day. I am very angry at the heating man it is not right for you and Sue to be left like this. :x :x
Hi Barbara just caught you there the cloak is very good at scooping us up even if we are asleep it doesn't forget us. Yes dentist nearly finished all in time for them to be nicely settled down nicely for Christmas. cannot remember the last time I had a full set of teeth at a Christmas time so long ago.
Ok it's now time for a potter before settling down to some knitting

Hi to all
It has been a pleasant day Barbara, lovely Autumn colours - a lot of the leaves have already dropped now. t120006 t120005 which will please Kath, she loves to dive into them
Good for you, hiding for the men in white coats. I always do the same - I am not being taken away - yet.
I know, smoking in the car, terrible. But, it was necessary, believe me. Only a tiny hole in my troosers, so still wearable I am sticking to 60mg on the statins, I will leave a note for my GP, mentioning that 80 is a no go. I was told some years back that I could not come off them, they do more good, than harm.
If Niamh can pop round first thing, just to go over everything that has been done today   I know, but, you have to make sure. I will remember to put the cylinder vax out, not the upright cordless.
So veggies are a fav or hers, wow, that is quite unusual for children these days. I remember having to stand in the pantry, because I didn't eat my sprouts
The strawberry cream slices were super messy and yummy, at least our clothes will wash, don't worry, we won't put the booth on
Yes we will have to train Mr T to make lovely sponges, as well as chips, keep it healthy like
You have a FAMILY of spid--s oh my    your Son is super brave, taking a look, imagine all those eyes looking back at you - shudder.
Glad you have your cards back now and your flu jabs are booked in for next week, Friday Walk in, ideal.
Hi Carol, how as your open morning at Church, did you manage to sell any cards? Nice to have lunch with Mr T
I am glad Florence will not eat Clarence, they must work as a team, to keep our homes under patrol. I think they need to pop round to Barbara's, they have a spid-- family
I am sure the tea and cakes will go down well with family, after they pop in after lunch. I will have a major fuss round when they are gone, have to have things back to "normal"
Our Nymphs have to be catered for now, given the fact that there will now be a plethora of visitors to see the rainbow dew drop - it is in a safe, underground area, which does not interfere with the Nymphs home. Of course there is CCTV and a big thick door, that closes at dusk
Mother came back with her fur very windswept, after Sleeks speed brooming, from Pendle, to the ravine. She did give one of her looks, but Sleek is wise to them now and knows she is a softy really. t4591
Glad all the dental work is going to plan and you will be all smiles by Christmas time
We will all have to get on the bus and go down to see Joan and Sue, bless them they need their heating sorting, this is the second year and their radiators are still not working properly. Mother, Sleek and Mrs Darcey will come with us and have "words" with the housing association - don't fuss, with the puss
Sleek and Mrs D came over, minor shrieking, but not too bad, they were watching SYTTDress Atlanta, (not the same as our wonderful David Emanuel), but it is ok to watch. Sleek saw some very nice sparkly items and naturally wanted them ALL, for her ickle house.
No fish supper this time, just some chicken biscuits. :? :?
Well, I had better be pottering again. Setting like stone at the moment
Will try and get on this afternoon, but I cannot promise, visitors and the like.

Morning everyone
Aidan it wasn't sprouts for me but parsnips. I have never eaten them to this day except.....twice recently I've had soup with them in so might give them a try.
Lucy used to eat peppers like apples she's always loved her veg So go Niamh!!
The cats do love SYTTD Mrs D being a recent convert as her niece (Tia) is getting married next year (as we all know!!). Of course not as good as the lovely David, but still worth watching. Sleek was on catazon again looking for more sparklies. She will miss her beloved come Christmas he would have spoiled her t4591 t4591 t115006 t115006
Chicken biscuits - that would be Sleek who brought those they are her favourite. She calls them 'sweets'.
She and Mother were up early again no frosted dew available this morning sadly. I was sure there would be a frost too :? Though Hermione has said there may be chillier weather along soon...
Sleek told me the Nymph's tea room (called 'Tea and Sparkle') is lovely and cosy and can grow to accommodate extra visitors as required.
Mrs D had managed to spead her litter into 2 rooms when Aunty Kari changed hers  :animal_busy: :animal_busy: :animal_busy: Mother will tell you they just have to check them out for quality purposes you know
Yes a 'land cat' rebellious by nature so Mother told Sleek and can be a bit covetous of the 'educated'. All is harmonious now thanks to Tosca
I see Niamh is running the hoover round for you before your visitors - you can have an extra 1/2 hour in bed Yes pre and post primping is essential
Thanks for the raspberry whirls bread mmmmmm! Lovely rather sticky so have left us all some handwipes. the ones you get for kids
I hope Open Church went ok and you sold some cards Carol
Nice to have your dinner with Mr T too Just think of the lovely smile you will have I can't wait to see it Maybe the rules have changed with dentures now or as you said MR T's dentist has different rules :?
Yes we were quiet under the cloak bush-babies can whisper so very quietly that only you can hear t4591
I hope you managed to do a fair bit of your knitting
Hi Barbara The bike is fabulous isn't it? But no wonder kids struggle on 2 wheelers if we start them on them!! It' so different - you have to lean the 'wrong' way to turn
I took my arcoxia yesterday and will do the same today in a mo.
I have dodged statins so far thank goodness.
Right no problem Niamh is like me a veggie roast dinner is one of my favourites!!
Oh dear a family of sp****rs :? thing is I can't hurt them either and it's getting cold.....
Kath I was super-sneaky catching Lucy and Mrs Darcey in the pic of Kari's bike hehehe!!!
I think Clarence and Florence are 'only friends' so Clarence will be safe enough. phew!!!
OOOH! look at that peach sponge! Would go well with a VERY large dollop of rhoddas methinks m0150
Joan I hope you are in to tell us that your rads are all working??? I hope so!

Thank you Carol, that's very reassuring. I didn't think Florence would be as nasty as most lady spids, and I think Clarence is spoiling her with parcels of squashed flies and other delicious spider treats, so I'm keeping my raisins well hidden in case he gets them mixed up.

Did I tell you there are two young ladies doing roast to your door..we tried them last week and they are delicious..one potion would do two ..tell you what I couldn't fault the food..so we are hooked
I wont post the pics of the spider family but Toni has seen them
Aiden I hope the family have arrived safe and sound and you have all been out together..think you said that was what you were doing :? yes statins do help I know my brothers needed they and he was stick thin so nothing to do with weight..thats my excuse... my hoover is an upright so can you imagine when Niamh dropped it  top heavy it is..now she know to put it against the wall thankyou for the Raspberry Swirl Sweet Bread ..I am always ready for something sweet..
Toni I do love Kari bike ..I want one.. now I like parsnips but not that keen on sprouts but can eat them at Christmas...I hope the extra meds help you but dont forget they are just masking whatever..

Kath so that is what was in the little parcel that Florence came in with and was very secretive about when she was hidden in the corner. yes I would hide the raisins if I were you think maybe I had better hide mine too in case Florence gets any ideas. that vegetable and feta slice looks yummy just about to have some...……… oops glad you made plenty that's 3 or was it 4 gone.
Joan I will have partial dentures top and bottom. Sue is only having top ones I see Mr T only has top ones too. glad the man came back and sorted your heating.
Toni unfortunately it was one of those open Morning that we had no one in. so very quite but we did have our meal after.
I think Mr T must of had a one of the dentist in the same surgery because when I told my dentist how long Mr T was told, he said some dentists do say a week but that he didn't think it was necessary. Mr T has only had his for around a year maybe not even that. Knitting has started in earnest now or I will not get them done in time. I have to laugh my friend is certain I have left it too late and will not finish both sets so really I am determined I will even if I have to take it everywhere I go oh Barbara has a spid family panic not our intrepid duo of Florence and Clarence are on the way to rid her of the spid family.
Aidan So the troosers are still wearable but after the pip appointment a cigarette in the car was a must. our intrepid duo of Clarence and Florence have been dispatched off Barbara to see off the spid family.
Well must potter a little then settle down to some knitting.

Hi to all - chilly tonight, hope your heating is working well Joan and Sue.............
Hi Toni, oh, parsnips, love love love them, roasted, in soup, chipped. Wonderful. Sprouts, well, at Christmas yes, as they do cause a little "problem" shall we say. :? :?
Good that Lucy loves her veggies, we are bad, we don't eat enough really. Mind you, there is fruit, in scones
Mother was enjoying (or was she pretending) to look at all the sparkles with Miss Sleek on Catazon - I think she was asleep with her eyes open, as puskins can do
They are liking SYTTD Atlanta, as a stand in, for David's show. There is a lot more decorum and gorgeousness on the UK show. Mind you, we are a little biased.
Pepe longstockings would have spoiled Sleek at Christmas, without a doubt, t4591 bless him. I still cannot get over him leaving us
Tosca loved the sweets that Sleek brought over, Mothers fav too. Much crunching going on.
There was a lot of mist on Pendle on Sunday morning, but no frosts. Plenty of dew, which is always greatly received by the Nymphs. Colder tonight, there will be a frost on the top of the hill tonight, so Sleek and Mother are planning an early start, to gather some prized frosted dew. Sleek has an ice cold container on her broom now, (in Mothers glove box, in the side car), to save the frosted dew.
The Nymphs tea room, Tea and Sparkle is just perfect. t4591 t115006
I caught a glimpse at one of the tables, oooh, it is gorgeous
Ahh, litter spreading, it is a fine art, carrying and flinging it from room to room, leaving you thinking, how on earth did it get so far. Mrs D is obviously well trained in skills of litter scattering.
Good that the "land cat" has not been seen again. Mother is always on hand, to give a withering look
Hi Joan and Sue - good to hear that your heating is working, as it should be. I hope the engineer does have a strong word with the association. Good that you can be nice and warm, with the weather turning colder as the week goes on.
I bet you enjoyed your three wheel bike, with the basket on the back, how lovely t4591
You ask how long I have had health issues, well, since I was 34, when I had my first heart attack - the rest, as they say, is history   :?
Hi Kath, I hope Dads cataract op goes well, I am sure it will do, they have it down to a fine art now, very precise and skilled procedure. Leaving lots of ((())) for you and for Dad t4591
You had best be leaping into some leaves, before the heavy frosts and dare we say, snow, arrive t110007 t110007 We normally get a showing of snow in November. t120005 t120005 t120005
The vegetable and feta slice is wonderful, thank you kindly. Glad you enjoyed the swirly bread, for breakfast
Now then Barbara, we need the roast to your door ladies. I guess they could do a veggie version with extra roasted tatties and veggies. Sounds lovely, don't blame you for being hooked. Saves a lot of prep, cooking and the like.
No, no pictures of the spid--s, a step too far.  Toni has seen them, oh my, did she need smelling salts
Family all arrived mid afternoon, B's two brothers, one with SIL and youngsters. We stayed at home, they gave us a bit of a break and took Dad to the GC.
Lots of cups of coffee and tea, cakes a plenty when they arrived. All was immaculised, beforehand and the minute they had gone at 430
I think the front door was shut, before B got the vacuum out and I was "cleansing" the facilities :? :? well, it has to be done, at least twice   Pristine again.
Cholesterol and lipid levels are certainly not always to do with diet, as you say, a person can be stick thin and have levels up through the roof. It is a bit like heart health, when you hear of super fit runners and athletes, suddenly collapse. Sometimes there is no rhyme nor reason
Glad Niamh has been advised to stand the vacuum up against the wall, we don't want it landing on her toes. Has her slapped cheek almost gone now?
Meds do mask things, I guess that is the aim in may cases. The f2f assessor asked if all my different pain killers, took the pain away. I said no, they are pain dullers, the pain is always there, dulled down. But, it can scream at you with all its might, no matter what you throw at it and my back is screaming right now, as I am sat here talking to you :? :?
Hi Carol, so Florence is receiving little presents from Clarence, bless him ( I think). Not often two spid--s get on so well together.
I thought I could hear the click clack of knitting needles, going full steam ahead, as Christmas approaches - oh, the thoughts of it   :? :?
Glad to hear the Florence and Clarence are on their way to sort out the spid-- colony that lives under Barbara's kitchen units.  I once picked a serving dish out of the kitchen cupboard, many moons ago, it had a big spi-- in it   - you can imagine what happened to the dish, as it went in the air and I shot out of the room.............  :? :?
Well, that seems to be about all for Sunday. We will meet up with B and SIL on Wednesday, at a huge GC a little way from here. They are staying near to Blackpool, Nephew and Niece will want to be on the pleasure beach, trying out the new scary rides
Then Aunt and Uncle from Swindon are coming up on Wed, to stop with Dad for a few nights. Not that he remembered - oh dear. Aunt will soon have things organised though
Off to Skipton this morning, with Dad, to meet up with other Niece and her partner, not seen them in a long while. Nero's, here we come.
Right. I must potter away, before I set solid. Hi to everyone, in out and around about. Love and Sparkles t4591 t115006 XXXX Aidan
Apple Pie Waffles - I am sure they are fine for breakfast

Hello Kathleen Carol Barbara Aidan
Kathleen I wish your Dad all the best for his operation ((((())))
Carol how long did you have to wait after having the teeth out before having the dentures.
Barbara the heating is lovely he took the thermostats out because we have covers on the rads not enough heat was coming out.
Aidan I'm sorry how many heart attacks have you had (((())))

OOooh! look at those apple waffles Aidan! Is that cream or is it it yoghurt?? Cream I home and knickers to the cholesterol levels!!!
Ask Sleek ask her!! She'll tell you  Barbara had sent a snapchat first saying 'sp***r warning!' but me being me I didn't see it
Flat on my back I was!! I woke up to Sleek's face peering down at me smelling salts in paw......all is well now  . Not sure Barbara wants any harm to come to them being a family and it being chilly outside. Between you and me (try not to imagine it) but they aren't the prettiest of 8 legged peeples :?
Visitors all over the place comings and goings pre and post immacculasations. Goodness me! I am quite worried that Dad will forget he has visitors coming to STAY :?
Mother and Sleek apparently had a very productive morning collecting frosted dew and transporting it (at a far more comfortable pace for Tosca) to the nymphs t115006
Doesn't the table at the café look adorable? everything has been magnified 100s of times I expect for us to see it with the human eye.
We still can't believe Pepelongstockings isn't here. I caught Sleek shedding a tear shopping for her Christmas presents on catazon. I suggested she get an extra present each for Mother, Mrs Darcey and little Tommy instead.
I am going to work on parsnips because they are the only roots veggie I don't like.....too sweet I think. Maybe I can spice mine up...there's a thought. We do well with our fruit and veg here we all love them luckily. Sprouts well yes, but you do get used to them
Carol you are like me!! If I say I can do something I jolly well WILL even if it nearly kills me!
even in in the bath!!!
Shame about no customers at the Open Church people are silly they will need their Christmas cards soon...
I think you should be glad you have your dentist not Mr T's!!!
Lets' hope the white stuff doesn't come like they threaten :? then Kath can carry on t120005 t120006
Joan I have a fisherman's basket on my bike at the front. Mine is a sit up and beg. I am really pleased to hear you have heating finally in all radiators.
Barbara Sunday dinner delivered like posh meals on wheels?! Wow!! what a fabulous idea. Very imaginative of the girls who are doing it
I have indeed seen your family of sp****s. Bless them they aren't so pretty are they Don't worry Sleek brought me round with some smelling salts
I am extra careful with my back I promise you are right pain meds do just mask it :?
I hope the family are ok ((()))
Kath I have frozen some feta and veggie slice for later. It is a good way of sneaking veggies into those who don't eat enough (Aidan )
I hope your D Dad does very well today I think he will my MIL has had hers done and was so very very pleased with the outcome
I think that Clarence and Florence only being 'friends' means she wouldn't eat him anyway. t4591
Still food parcels is a really sweet idea bless him
Right onwards and upwards for me!
Love

It's been a bad day. I've had to ring the nurse helpline to make an appointment. I missed one last week as nobody sent the letter out. The next one would have been in October 2019. So now I have to wait for a phone call.
Heart Foundation site still not working. but I found Asian Tuna with Salsa.
Yes I'm sure dad will be fine. Anita will let me know later.
I'm going into hiding until the snow has definitely been vanished.

Hi to all - not long back from sunny Skipton, after our meet and greet with Niece and her partner.
Good to see them, lots of coffee, toastie and NO cake, I am in shock myself, it is unheard of.
Anyway, now I am hypo at the moment, just waiting for chocolate to kick in
Hi Joan and Sue, glad your heating is working well, nice and warm. Just as it should be
I have had two heart attacks, both of them under the age of 40. :? :?
Thank you for the hugs, bless you t4591 t4591
It is definitely cream Toni, no silly yoghurt on our waffles I could eat a couple right now................
Oh my, Sleek had told Mother, about the picture of the 8 legged peeples and how it made mummy fall over. She rushed for Pepe's medical bag and brought you round with concentrated essence of pilchards  she's a star.
Dad had already forgotten that Aunt and Uncle are coming to stay with him. We have reminded him umpteen times and I think he has it in mind now. We reminded him to get extra shopping while we were out today and made sure he had everything necessary.
There was quite a lot of frozen dew, on top of Pendle this morning, duly delivered to the Nymphs the pace was far more gentile for Mother
The Tea and Sparkle cafe is adorable, immaculately laid out t115006 t115006
I know, poor Miss Sleek, missing her beloved, we all do. Extra presents for Mother, Mrs D and Tommy, will be just the tonic needed
Spicy parsnip soup is wonderful, they have it at the GC sometimes. I could drink it like water.
Hope you back is not too ouchy today. Sympathies and magic sparkles to help relieve pain. t115006 t115006
Oh dear Kath, you missed an appointment, which was not your fault. If you are not informed, then you have no idea, silly them, it is not rocket science. I hope it is sorted now.
I see you have found a lovely Tuna and Salsa dish, it looks delightful and will go down very well, for supper, thank you kindly.
Hope all is well with Dad and his cataract op. Sending extra ((())) t4591 t4591
I have just seen Anita's post on FB, Dad is home, with his eye patch on, for a few days (moreso at nights) lots of drops too......... t4591
I will have to look at the weather forecast - it is certainly getting colder this week, frosty at night. Some rain at the week end, but no snow. So you can still throw yourself into the piles of leaves, if it is not too windy t110007 t110007
Hi to Barbara, who will be along soon, so best be lifting the cake out, to follow on from the Tuna dish
Hi to Carol, Kerrin, Christine, DD, SW, Toady, Mig, Elizabeth and all.
Time I was pottering, too much sitting today, not good for the ouchies.
Love and sparkles to all t4591 t115006 will call back later XXXX Aidan

TAPTAPTATAPTAPTAP TAP TAP SPLATTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
oh my...say no more t45910 -
Kath are you feeling extra poorly? If so extra ((())) for you.
Healthy food there tuna is an oily fish I think.
You'll be pleased to know I got a few extra ingredients to make the carrot cake this afternoon
Aidan I felt Dad might forget the visitors :? I think you'll just have to keep on reminding him. Bless him
I am doing ok today thank you still taking my arcoxia for now t4591
I have downloaded a recipe for spicy parsnip soup. Leave it with me I will get to like them
I did it with olives!
Sleek has been suitably distracted by looking on catazon and petsy for presents for her cat friends. She is enjoying it. She told Lucy that she still misses Pepe and that she knows you and B do too. Even Mother does. t115006 t4591 t115006 t4591
Apparently the frozen dew was really good quality so Tosca and Mother are feeling rather chuffed. They are wanting to do two runs out tomorrow morning now  If they get enough they think they might get offered some fish in the nymphs café...…
OMG!!! pilchard smelling salts   no wonder I was back on my feet in a flash
Thank goodness for that. I was quite worried that our waffles might be healthy
Nice to see niece and nephew....any wonder you were hypo if you didn't have cake
See you all later
Toni xx0 -
Hi to all - a very breezy evening here t110007
You sniffed out the lemon mousse cake then Toni I thought I heard a loud SPLAT
We didn't know Aunt and Uncle were coming this week, until they phoned yesterday  - obviously they had told Dad, but he had completely forgotten. Anyway, he seems to have it logged in now, plus we will keep reminding him :? :?
Glad you are doing ok on the ouchies and keeping them under as much control as possible t115006 t4591
Now, Olives, no, sorry, not possible, they are vile a friend of mine eats them for fun - I tried one, a long time ago. Olive oil, fine, no problems. I do hope you like spicy parsnip soup, it is wonderful, maybe take a little getting used to, as it is a sweet ish vegetable.
I think Sleek is right, even Mother misses Pepe and Cookie. She is looking a little more frail to be honest, bless her little paws. Sleeps a lot, but chirrups every time she sees you move about t4591 t4591 Her back legs take a bit of catching up with her front ones, but she can still jump up onto beds / chairs etc. She is an elderly Lady :animal_busy:
Sleek came over at siesta time and they were busy away, munching "sweets", up and down, let's jump on Daddy's legs, up, down,
   let's wait till Daddy is nearly asleep, then jump on his legs again :? :?
There is no mist over Pendle tonight, with the windy conditions, it is all blown away. The last of the purple heather is still there, so maybe they could gather some, for the Nymphs T rooms, for table decorations etc
As long as Mother is nice and snug in her side car, she will not mind a few trips around our famous hill. Sleek has stabilisers on her broom, so it is barely affected by the winds. t115006 t115006
I thought the smelling salts would revive you in no time at all, super fishy :?
Healthy waffles, now then, let's not be daft
No idea why I was going hypo - soon resolved, but have had chronic indigestion all evening
Hope Lucy and Auntie Kari are improving. Auntie Kari has her f2f soon, so will be there under the cloak t4591 t115006
Hi to Barbara, hope you and yours are all ok t4591 I guess that should include the family of spid--s :? :? :?
Hi to Carol, how is the knitting going, I can still hear the needles clicking away
Hope your ouchies are not too bad Kath (that goes for everyone too) t4591
Well, I had best be having another potter. At home today, we muted that the car might get a very much needed clean today. It is like a travelling skip the shame of it..........I will help as much as I can
Love and sparkles to one and all. t4591 t115006 Catch up again later. XXXX Aidan
