Morning!
I have some good news. When we went to the Royal orthopaedic yesterday(re the AVN in Lucy's hips) he was really pleased. Since the op over 2 years ago there has been no further deterioration and hopefully won't be any different to the rest of us So she's been discharged!!
All we need to do now is get discharged from the shoulder consultant then the cancer one (I expect we have to keep the epilepsy one though) and life will return to normal!
Mind you she has been up all night with a vomiting bug she caught at school
Sorry about Miss S's habit of spitting sweet debris out when she's got a lot to say Aidan. She can get a bit animated...takes after me! I expect Mother has told you all of the above anyway!!
I have and think you have too? a dripping mackintosh and sou'wester and a pair of upturned galoshes on the cat-sized airer  I can't believe they went out in this rain!!!
t111055
The men are doing some brick laying this morning?? Not sure what that is about though.....keeping my head down. Sleek is most upset sitting by the radiator be me :animal_busy: Keeping her paws safe from lime was more important than going outside...especially after they had left for the day when inquisitive pusskins gate wet cement
If she'd dropped her wand heaven help us!!!
They are making the M6 4 lanes with no hard shoulder? Very scary it is now on there Even worse to think learner drivers will be allowed on there soon too
I hope the T room visit is good and B and SIL are well. Definitely go to the dept store can't miss that!
Thanks for the baked eggy crumpets....yum and the almond pastry cake went down well at the Royal Orthopeadic
The girls look adorable Carol one very proud big sis there Lillie looks so grown up!
2? 2???!!!
where has all that time gone?
All the knitting will be done you will win your bet I am certain
Yes Elf duties again for Lucy she loved it, but I said she must not overdo it this year :?
Thanks for the link for cards
You do sound a little run down with persistent cough and mouth ulcers. Still it will go in time I'm sure.
£3 a week Barbara! you were raking it in!!! That's the sort of job I kind of love being able to natter to friends and still get the job done
Ok 2 biscuits and custard creams for Sister Inviolata. Sorted (mutters quietly to the side:" Pair of Divas right enough...."
Hope you enjoyed time with middle GD
Kath I had the same the day before yesterday with my laptop! You have my total sympathy ((())) t4591
The recipe looks lovely and is definitely one I shall be trying out. I have an instant pot which is going to be used lots now for soups, casseroles and sauces
A quick woo-ooo! to Joan I hope all is well?
Love to everyone

Morning, yes, I know, it is morning still. We are all immaculised and preened, ready in case B and SIL come back after lunch.
SO SO pleased that Lucy has been discharged from the hip consultant, way to go t4591 t4591 now, as you say, the shoulder man and the cancer man now I think the neuro will want to keep tabs for the duration, but, things can change t115006 t115006
Now, see, those little ones are full of germs and Lucy ends up with sickness, masks to be worn at all times at school.
Had very bad angina in the night, I was going to give it 5 more minutes, after three sprays of my GTN, then shout B to ring for the ambulance. Pulse was all over the place, pain in arm, neck, chest.....scary it was  :? .....anyway, it subsided and I settled back down again. The GTN worked.
None since, but I am on light duties and being told off for even attempting any extra fussing and preening.
Why one earth did Mother go through to see Sleek, when it was pouring down there. It is wall to wall sunshine here, lots of mist on the hill, dew, everything going on.
Oh they both spit their sweets all over, just like Mother drenches the hearth where her water dish is. Lots of paper towels, but she can soak them through in a flash.
Sleek was showing Mother the dangerous floor, that eats you
4 lanes on the M6 and learners allowed on the motorway as well, oh my, that doesn't sound like a good idea :? :? Motorways are scary places.
Right, I will be back later, best get ready to go round to pick Dad up.
Love and Sparkles to all t4591 t115006 XXXXX Aidan m0150 m0150XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
I'm whispering because I don't want my laptop to hear. It appears to be working well. SSSHHHHH!
Well I've looked through the goodies that Aidan has left for us, and scoffed the lot. Thanks duckie. I hope your angina is leaving you in peace. How scary for you. Glad the GTN spray eventually worked. And yes, the laptop nearly went out of the window. - or worse.
Toni, great news about Lucy Locket. Oh that vomiting bug is awful. ((((Lucy)))) t4591
Carol, that photo is a delight. m0150
Anyway, todays recipe I watched Mary Bery do it on telly.
Ingredients 1 large or 2 small aubergines, halved lengthways and cut into slices about 1.5cm (5 8in) thick 350g (12oz) peeled butternut squash, cut into 2cm (¾in) cubes 2 medium courgettes, halved lengthways and cut into slices about 1cm (½in) thick 2 large red peppers, deseeded and cut into 4cm (1½in) chunks 4 tbsp olive oil salt and freshly ground black pepper For the dressing: 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar 4 tbsp olive oil 1 tsp caster sugar 1 rounded tsp grainy mustard
1 banana shallot, finely diced 1 garlic clove, crushed To serve: 2 tbsp chopped mint 2 tbsp chopped basil 100g (4oz) feta cheese, crumbled (optional) Instructions 1. Preheat the oven to 220°C/200°C fan/Gas 7 and line two large baking sheets with baking paper (see tip).
2. Place the vegetables in a large bowl, then add the olive oil, season with salt and pepper and toss until coated. Arrange in a single layer on the lined baking sheets.
3. Roast in the oven for 30–40 minutes until golden and a little charred, turning them halfway through if needed. The vegetables will be all be cooked when the squash is tender. Leave to cool on the baking sheets.
4. Place all of the dressing ingredients in a jug, then mix well and season with salt and pepper.
5. Put the roasted vegetables on a serving platter or in a bowl, pour over the dressing and check the seasoning. Scatter with the chopped herbs and the feta (if using).

Oh Aidan! Any idea why the angina attack? Any extra stresses? I am so very glad the GTN finally worked, but I bet your head is banging today?
I am with B light duties for you all weekend
I hope you all had a lovely day with the family visiting. Did they come back?
No idea why Mother came here in the rain probably to have a nose at the cat absorbing stuff outside? :? maybe??
Sleek has been looking after Lucy she told me to keep away "Cats don't catch people's fur-balls2 I was told. Pepe's Drs kit came out with no more than one tiny tear soon dispelled with some of the contents of her phial.
Right onwards and upwards.

Hi to all, it is getting colder t110007 t110007 a big nip in the breeze from the East.
Hi Kath, I won't mention the
op at all, if it is doing what it is supposed to do, then that's fine t4591 t4591
You are very welcome mi duck, eat all the goodies. I thought you would have a mini feast when you had stopped screaming   :? :? I have nearly thrown computers out of the window, but B is a wizard with them, thank goodness.
It was the worst angina attack I have had in a very long time, they are scary, I know what the results can be, first hand.
The roasted veggies look wonderful, I will be all over them like a rash. Thank you kindly.
Hi Joan and Sue - I don't blame you for popping your thermals on (he says, in short sleeves)  It has dropped by several degrees, very chilly for the coming week ahead. Hope you don't get any snow
Thank you for the hugs, I have been quite steady away today.
Hi Barbara - Way to go Barbara, sorting out the Alien life form, otherwise known as the Router bless Mr B, he obviously is a technophobe.
Thank you for the calming hugs, I have been very steady today, under strict instructions not to overdo things. I was about 5 mins off calling for the ambulance. I knew when my pulse was completely all over the place, that it was a bad attack. I will take a puff of GTN before I nod off tonight.
Roger is out of the end of year tournament, he was beaten today. I don't think he minds, he knows there are new up and coming stars of the future.
It must have been different weather over the hills to your place. It was icy blasts in town here.
We picked Dad up and got the table in the T room, then B''s Bro and SIL arrived. Had a leisurely lunch, then everyone came back here for more nattering / tea / coffee.............
Crumpets are yummy, with butter running through them eggy ones sound just perfect, you will have to let us know if you give them a try.
We DO need pictures of the make up practice  with your GD, bless t115006 t4591
Hi Toni Good to hear that Lucy is drinking and has had some soup, bless, sickness bugs, horrid horrid. Much immaculising so you don't catch the nasty bugs.
Unstable angina can happen at any time and with me, it seems to be when I am at rest. The Consultant did explain the electrical conduction in the arteries and how they change and constrict and then he lost me totally.................................. :?
Extra stresses, well, I know I harp on about pip, but it has floored me to be honest, the whole process, the cancellation, the assessment, now the endless waiting.
Most people do get a headache, but I have been lucky, GTN doesn't do that to me, it does for our neighbour, she has a banging head. Tell a fib, it did once, when they were doing one of the cardiac caths, they mainlined GTN to widen an artery, that was like instant head pain.
Light duties for the week end, yes, I have been warned :? :?
Everyone came back here, after lunch in town. We were immaculised already and I had a little gentle immaculise of the house bathroom when everyone went, at 5pm, I know 5pm    It was nice to see them and we had lots of chatting.
Mother said she had been to look at the peeple and cat eating floor in Sleeks garage  I think she wanted to make sure there were no intruders lurking in the garden while she was visiting.
Hermione is a bit whittled about the coming cold weather and winds, with the chill factor on Pendle, they cannot fly up to the top, they must use the "gate" if they want to go up to gather mists and dew and they must wear lots of winter woolies
Sleek will have done a wonderful job looking after Lucy, she is right, cats cannot get peeples hair ball troubles
Well, I had best be moving again. Nearly 1am and time for a little potter.
Hi to Carol and to everyone else in and about. Leaving lots of love and sparkles t4591 t115006 Take lots of care XXXXX Aidan
Crunchy Hash Browns and Eggs
XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Mmmmmm crunchy hash browns and fried eggs for breakfast let me just check....oh yes eggs done perfectly! Thank YOU!
I think Mother needs to come over Sleek just came in hackles raised :? I hissed out of the back door but can't see any 'land cats' :?
Now I understand what she means  she was saying they can't fly up to Pendle Hermione said and she is going to have an 'underwear check' We had a chat and I explained that slightly older pusskins need to be wrapped up warm on winter trips out especially higher up as it's colder.
She went straight on catazon looking for fluffy hats and the like poor Tosca She also turned up the heating to super-high in the side car. I have turned it down a little. t110007
Sounds like you had a lovely visit with B and SIL. They do come a lot which is lovely with you two having Dad all the time being so nearby. Gone by 5pm :? ah well just in time for gentle immaculisation and siesta.
I hope the angina wasn't any trouble last night. No wonder you struggle to sleep if it sneaks up on you like that ((())) I really hope you hear good news about the PIP very soon. Its been long enough 'They' oughtn't be allowed to do this to people :x
Sleek and Mother are both on nursing duties ATM both patients are doing well

Hello all boy the temp is dropping after a really lovely day..
Aiden I hope you had a good night..I agree that the stress of PIP doesn't help.. t115006 .. glad you had a nice time with your family, and they left in plenty of time... no pics of the makeup im afraid .. she drew my eyebrows in ..a bit to dark for me..mind you she is doing stage makeup at college
OH likes technology but cant get to grips with it.. thats his version ..I do try and help him...but it goes out of the other ear..so Roger is out..I did see on the news that they were booing someone for delaying or asking to take the point again..its not good to boo.. oh and thankyou for the Crunchy Hash Browns and Eggs..what a nice change..
Toni is Lucy still poorly bless..children are very strong carriers of germs..but not much you can do when you work with them..hope she feels better very soon...I did hear about the smart motorways apparently the fines are automatic ..and you must not ignore the speed sighs
Joan it really is cold tonight..but getting nearer to spring hope you are all doing ok..I will get my vest out ready for tomorrow..
Kath I wont mention the LT...talk nicely to it..now I do like fruit loaf with a cup of tea..thankyou
G-Daughter gone home ..so its quiet, mind you she doesn't talk much
The new router is brilliant..I did think they were telling fibs that it was a super one, but much faster..so we are happy

Afternoon to all - chilly out, but boiling in here, with the dryer going and having eaten rhubarb crumble and custard as a treat. Melting I am.
Glad you liked the breakfast Toni, crunchy has browns, a maz ing t4591
Mother has been over, she didn't want Sleek to see her, but she has had a wander round the grounds and has given looks and spits, with a spell of protection for good measure. We cannot have Sleek with a bottle brush tail
That is why there is a fake fur hat on the hearth, it must have come down the chimney we don't have. Mother looks like she is out of Dr Zhivago
I think it wise to keep the temperature ambient, in the side car, rather than melting hot. Bless, Sleek is doing her utmost to look after Mother so well.
Yes, B's Bro and SIL come over from Hudds every few week ends. Obviously we see so much less of the other Bro, who lives in London. A 6-7 hour drive is a long time. B's Brothers are twins, but you would never ever think so, to look at them, total opposites.
No angina last night, thank goodness. It is a problem with cardiac patients and something I have to keep pushing to the back of my mind, to get on as well as you can, otherwise you find yourself waiting for the bang, so to speak. :? :? My Cardio said it was a very common state of mind, after having heart attacks.
I have a feeling the DWP letter will arrive this week. Just an inkling. No, you are right Toni, they little realise the major problems that their assessments contribute to. I know they have to do a job and stop fraud. but, as I said to the assessor, this is not a lifestyle choice.
How is Lucy today, eating more I hope, sending hugs ((())) t115006 t115006
Kath I see you are rooting in your undergarment drawers again   A liberty Bodice, goodness, Mother used to have them, for the winter, with the rubber buttons She used to like her Damart vests too. I remember washing them on a really hot wash once, they came out almost too small for Barbie
Mother was NOT amused   oooops. Thought I was gunna gerra slap
I did have a better night, thank you kindly.
Mother has her own furry bloomers, already built in Bless her socks.
Now then, fruity marmalade cake, that looks and sounds wonderful, thank you, I will borrow a few slices :? :?
Hope any ouchies are minimal t4591 t115006 t115006
Hi Joan and Sue, hope you are all keeping warm, it is a chilly wind out there. t110007
I am sure the pip letter will arrive soon, B will have to open it, I cannot bear to open them. :?
Oh Barbara, we need to see those eyebrows, stage make up style, did you have huge false eyelashes on too
It was nice to have a catch up with family, over a leisurely lunch. We had time to re-immaculised in time for siesta's.
No, undue stress takes its toll on my I am afraid. But, these things have to be gone through.
So Mr B likes his technology, now then Mr B, you need to listen to Barbara, she will teach you the ways of all things PC and smartphone. We will have you snapchatting in no time.
Good that the new router is much faster, way to go, there will be no stopping you now, surfing the web at high speed.
Time I was moving. I will get some butter for the lovely marmalade cake.

Please thank Mother on the Q T for us Sleek's tail is back as it's supposed to be Up high in the air and not bristled I rather like the fake fur hat bless
They care about each other, the girls, don't they? Tosca protecting Sleek and Sleek looking after Mother's every comfort :animal_busy: t4591
I am very pleased to hear Mother's ministrations (obviously) have prevented any further angina attacks. I should think it is very hard for anyone with heart problems to totally relax ((()))
It is good that B's bro visits so frequently and a shame the other bro is so far away :? B is a twin too then like Sue and Joan
We went up to Leek yesterday and saw the Capita building...grrrr!!!! I think you'll hear this week too and hopefully Kari not long afterwards. Fingers crossed.
Lucy is eating more still drinking plenty of water and managed a shower just so feeling much more herself now. Thanks also to Sleek's ministrations
Barbara stage make-up is brighter surely?! apparently pale eyebrows are aging! let her do them!!
Lucy will get stronger won't she and get immune to all those children's germs. She'll be ok and in work tomorrow l'm sure.
Yes the fines are automatic with the 'smart' motorways so you have to be on the ball.
How lovely that the new router really is much much better. What kind is it? I want one!!!
Joan I don't know when Lucy will get the all clear from the cancer I was thinking the usual 5 years after remission which will be 2020 so not long now
Kath actually Sleek probably would get Tosca fluffy bloomers if she thought it would help...poor Tosca will be too hot!!
Oooh fruity marmalade cake!! Lovely! Is it another healthy one?

Hi to all, chilly evening, lazy breeze blowing. t110007
Hi Toni Mother has been informed that Sleeks tail is now back to normal and not like a spruce tree branch.
She is not a fan of the fur hat and has hidden it under her bed of many blankets, as extra padding   I said you could star in a remake of Dr Zhivago, but she was not amused
The girls aka Sleek, Mrs D and Mother, all look out for each other. Their phones are always on instant message, to keep in touch night and day. t4591 t115006 t115006
Sleek is most diligent in making sure Mother is comfortable.
They are planning a trip up to Pendle. Hermione said the winds are lighter now and they can go on the brooms. Mother in her warm side car. The Nymphs are needing some Peat moss which grows on Pendle.
Mother was quite settled last night and kept an eye on any warnings of angina. t4591 t4591
Relaxing is not really a word that I use in my vocabulary. I am not as bad as I used to be, you have to live with things.
B's Brothers are the twins. So unlike each other, no one would ever guess.
You saw the Capita building - I wonder if it has sick building syndrome :? :? :?
I hope Auntie Kari and I hear something soon, from our pips. Hanging on threads is not my idea of fun

Ah so B was the odd one out then? Did he have any sisters or was it all boys?
Did you love Betty's? I am sort of trying to arrange a trip there for some of us ladies in the village probably in February....
The girls were all up super-early for a pow-wow (skype call) they are going up to Pendle tomorrow morning. This time Mrs Darcey will fly here first and they will fetch Tosca (unless he uses her gate, but since she's on the way...?) and go up in a convoy. Mother in her side car. We have not been in so long - what was a quick GC and shop, turned out to be GC, then Burnley (dad wanted a coffee machine like ours) so off to Curry's / PC World (I am always happy to go in there, drooling at the latest in uber wonderful tv's) ours is already a super curved one, that we bought 4 years ago - they are half the price now !!!!
B got a new PC monitor, Dad insisted he bought it for him. He said we do more than enough for him and keep him sane bless.
Anyway, big Sainsb next door, so I was in a buggy and off around the store. Only needed a few bits.
Then we were hungry on the way home, so stopped at McD's had a fillet o fish, dad loves the Mc Chicken and B likes a Big Mac. It was full of Police, obviously on a break, so we felt very safe, like our own personal protection ring
Will write more later.
Hi to you Toni, Sleek will be over at Siesta and Mother will no doubt tell me of the adventures.
Yes, B had an older Sis, she passed away 4 years ago, from ovarian Ca. 5 weeks after her hubby (BIL) passed away, from Fibrosis. What a terrible time that was.

Evening all
Not been posting lately as I still have a cough and the catarrh is still with me and have to keep clearing my nose. I am just getting fed up with it all and I just don't feel motivated to do any thing, I do read all thats going on in here but then just can't be bothered to write a post myself naughty me  :? . However I have forced myself to keep going with the knitting and will sort out my buying my last 2 Christmas presents tomorrow. Mr T is being a misery at the moment as n Saturday he was up on step ladder and stumbled and bang himself on sink and has a painful bruised area over his ribs, and when he has something wrong he is a very moody person . where i will carry on with the things i need to do he will moan about everything. Still i have lived with it for 48 years so I should be used to it by now Aidan hope you haven't had any more angina problems. and Toni hope Lucy is feeling better my youngest daughter works in a school and as soon as the kids get a cold so dose she one of the hazard's of working with children.
I need to potter a bit as my back pain levels are not good if I sit for to long

Finally a little moment to scribe. Chilly out, some rain, breezy, from the East t110007
Hi Toni, glad you enjoyed the breakfast scones I had a few.........
That was kind of Sleek to take a truck load of fruit supplies to the Sanctuary and some Cannock Chase   what on earth is that for, Mother says she knows nothing, but I am not sure I believe her :? :?
Betty's is always good, pinkies out for sure. They have THE best reputation to keep, so you can just about guarantee a fabulous luncheon or afternoon T. Cakes are amazing.
Mother was talking about a trip up to Pendle this morning, with Mrs D and Sleek. She might used the gate if there is a big wind chill, otherwise she will be in Sleeks side car, wrapped up like Nanook of the North.
Of course, they have to collect the rare peat moss that grows up there. No one will suspect anything, they always have a cloak of invisibility at the ready. Not many walkers will be up there at the crack of dawn. If there are, they need their bumps feeling.
Dark and ominous Capita building, probably the same for ATOS as well.
I hope you did the mattress turning with your friend who is visiting Lots of immaculising.
Hi Barbara I don't blame you for nipping out and back home again. I know we had a productive day, but it was a long time, we were so glad to get in.
You do expect twins to look alike, but not B's Brothers. Bill is more like one of the twins.
It was fairly quiet at the GC, usually is on a Monday. It will get more hectic as Christmas looms :? :?
Betty's is a TAD expensive, always lovely food and drinks, but you do pay a premium for all the trimmings
So the stage make up was a bit of a challenge to remove - oh we really did need pictures
Don't you worry Carol, if you are not feeling well, the oomph soon goes to get on with the usual things. Coughing and spluttering and being generally yuck, is annoying and wearing. t115006 t115006 t115006 Some magic sparkle squares are dotted about, to help wherever they can
Oh dear, Mr T is in the grumps after stumbling from the ladder. I hope he mends soon and the ouchies are minimal, I will sneak some sparkles into his slippers t115006 t115006 So you are feeling rotten t2507 and he is a bad mood, we need Silver to help with this one t115006 t115006

I am sure the knitting is coming along well, but not easy if you have a runny cold and cough, keep stopping and starting.
I can sympathise with the sitting and increasing back ouches. ((()))
Angina has settled, it comes at the strangest of times. :? :?
Hi to Kath, I hope that the lap--p is not messing about or the ouches are not causing too much discomfort. Sparkles and (()) for both, just to cover all bases. t4591 t120005 Get those thermals out t110007
Hi to all our other forum friends, in and about. Time I was moving again.
No intention of going out of the door today, at home day of some rest, much needed.

Oh no, not again! My post has gone awol and I wrote all about my family being full of twins. Identical and non identical, male and female. Uncles, aunties and cousins. But I'm not repeating it again. I put TWO recipes (both vegan) and a vegan website you might have liked to look at. Maybe that's why my post went walkies.
We went walkabout ourselves. It was freezing, but it didn't rain until we got home. t110007 t111055 That's when the window cleaners came, in the rain.
I'm repeating one of yesterdays recipes, Sweet and sour Aubergines.
Ingredients
1 tsp salt
8 baby aubergines, quartered lengthways
3 tbsp gram (chickpea) flour
2 tsp cumin seeds
2 tsp coriander seeds
1 tbsp finely grated fresh ginger
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp paprika
Handful of fresh coriander leaves, chopped
3 tbsp coconut or vegetable oil
Juice of 1/2 a lemon
3 tsp brown sugar
Method
Rub ½ tsp salt into the aubergines and leave them to drain in a colander for 30 minutes.
Put the chickpea flour, cumin seeds and coriander seeds into a heavy frying pan and toast on a medium heat until the seeds pop and the flour becomes darker. Scoop out into a pestle and mortar and roughly crush the seeds. Add the ginger, garlic, cayenne, paprika, fresh coriander, ½ tsp salt and bash into a thick, sticky paste.
Pat the aubergines dry with kitchen paper, then rub the paste into them.
Put the oil in a large frying pan. When it is hot add the aubergines and begin to fry, browning them on all sides for 3 or 4 minutes. Add 3 tbsp water. Pop a lid on the pan and leave to simmer for around 15 minutes.
Whisk the lemon and sugar together and pour over the aubergines. Continue to cook for a few minutes, turning them once, until there is a thick sauce and the aubergines are almost falling apart. Serve warm, topped with chopped coriander.
Sending love to all, and posting this ASAP before it vanishes."Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." Robert A Heinlein

Afternoon to all, a very blustery day here, rain, strong winds t110007 t111055
Mother did not stop long on Pendle, she went up in the side car, with Sleek and Mrs D, but she nipped back through the "gate" as the weather closed in, not stopping up there, digging she said
Sleek and Mrs D managed to get the peat moss and take it to the ravine, before vanishing through the gate, back home, to dry off. (Mrs D had a ride in Mothers side car, but we won't mention it)
I have been round the Sanctuary in the buggy and every one of our lovelies are looking very well indeed. There are some newcomers, some Ibex, some Ostrich, Mountain Goats, Marmots et al. Johnny has been busy on his rescue missions.
Oh dear, Kath, your post has gone walkies again - do I need to cover my ears while you have a little shout
So you have a family history of twins, which is nice When the computer behaves, you can write it down in a abridged version and post it asap
Two vegan resipes, but one has gone missing - :? :? :?
I bet you were cold, going walkies in the chilly winds, at least you didn't get wet, that would have added insult to injury.
Window cleaners always come either just before, or while it is raining, next day, you want them done again   t111055
Sweet and Sour Aubergines are just fine, thank you kindly, they look delicious.
Hi Joan and Sue, so the heating broke down again     The boiler now needs a new fan. Goodness, they could have replaced it 10 times over, the number of call outs there have been.
Glad you have not long to wait and hope you can keep warm until tomorrow.
Thank you for the hugs, right back to you both ((()))
Hi Toni, hope you are all ok, Lucy mending well and no one else with any buglies :?
Hi Barbara, trust you are ok, did you manage to go out today, to the GC if it was not too busy.
I seem to be ahead of myself, so I will relish the fact and make an extra cup of T.
Hi to everyone else, Carol (hope you feel a bit better today), Kerrin, Mig, Toady, DD, SW, Elizabeth and all
Let me go find the baking I did earlier :? :?

Sorry to be so late on everyone. I have been helping Pom today amongst other things the biggest of which was trying to type up Lucy’s first Open University assessment (I did tell you all she is doing an online Teaching assistant course? What’s worse is she hasn’t felt well since Thursday last week and is pretty rough today having started with a cold.
I hope you are all well though? Carol I can’t believe you have another cold???!! Or is it the same one lingering? Well done keeping up with the knitting.
Sorry Mr T is misbehaving again because he's hurt himself. Hardly your fault is it?
So long as you are ok that is all that matters
Hello to Joan Did I read you have boiler issues again. I’m sorry I have run out of words for how angry I feel towards your housing association! :x
Kath you haven’t really lost another post? :? Check what time you posted it incase you posted it at the same time as another one of us. I have lost posts that way not spotting that I am saked to review my post and clicking off without actually posting???
Thanks for the one vegan recipe!
Barbara I hope all is well you and family? What is next now that you aren’t losing your memory?
Aidan Sleek said there were lots of new peeples in the sanctuary and that she needs to take extra supplies next time she goes.
Mother was wise to use the gate to get home with it being such a grotty day. Digging in the cold isn't good for her.Sleek says her bones get sore when it’s too cold.
She and Mrs Darcey got loads of that peat moss for the nymphs (it is special and absolutely environmentally sustainable), they were really pleased. Yes Mrs D had a lift home in Mother’s side-car, but Sleek has sprayed it and hoovered out so not a spec remains nor the tiniest whiff that someone else has been in there.
Lots of newcomers I think we took our eyes off the bal and Johnny got a bit carried away
Off to the booth I go....tap tap tappity tap....SPLATTTT!!!! super-wash button pressed.
That cake was phe-nom-in-al!!! t4591
Barbara I am sure Bettys is well overpriced, but a village trip out might be worth it anyway?
Guess what? Lucy woke up with a stinker of a cold and her first assignment is due in tomorrow. Luckily I can read her writing so have typed it up as best I could. She will have to check it though in the morning.
Ah yes Capita building was dark...so dark...I couldn't work there.
Right must watch celebrity and then off to bed
Love

Hi to all on a very chilly, wet and blowy night. Proper wintry. There is snow on the tops at Snake Pass etc. Is there any on Winter Hill Barbara?
Cannot see Pendle, but would not surprise me if there was a dusting by morning.
Sorry that Lucy is feeling proper poorly t2507 I am sure you have done a very good job of helping with the course work. Typing things up can take an age, I remember it well
Mother wanted to send this to Lucy, to make her feel better t115006 t115006 Sleek said that Lucy had caught bugs from mini peeples  :? she will be monitoring and reporting back
I hope your time helping Pom, was fruitful. Hi to Pom, oh and hi to Auntie Kari and Rev Delphine
I think we need to write to the people responsible for Joan and Sue's heating, or persistent lack of it. Trading Standards would be a start, then the press. We want you to be warm, all the time, this winter, Joan and Sue. t4591
Re the posts going missing. I have lost them, if I have not given time for my post to load onto the forum page. Closing the page too soon makes it vanish. Just thought I would share
I think Mother is going to pop into the Sanctuary with Sleek, to supervise the delivery of supplies, large lorries are en route.
Mother bones do get ouchy when it is cold, her back legs are quite wobbly most of the time, bless her paws. t4591
Well done to Sleek and Mrs D for gathering the peat moss, as you say, sustainable, it grows very quickly up on yonder hill. Actually it grows pretty much everywhere around here. Plants seem to like it, certainly the pot plants.
I have not mentioned that Mrs D went in the side car, I am sure Mother will not notice, Sleek said to her it was in for a service and being valeted  :?
Thought you might enjoy the cake, ooooh, what a mess
I see that the celeb had to stop the bush tucker trial, someone else was in hospital having a wound tended and Holly was jumping out of her skin when a fly came past Mind you, I would not even get off the plane - Water Spid--s, Huntsman Spid--s oh no, not a chance.
Well, I had best be moving, it is going up for 1am. Time is flying once more.
Carol, I hope you are feeling a bit better and that Mr T is not as ouchy or grumpy.
Hi Barbara, hope you are and yours are all ok
Hi to all forum friends who call in the cafe, everyone is welcome
Leaving lots of love and sparkles and feel better hugs for all t4591 t4591 t115006 t115006 ((())) ((())) We might have to open the ward again, I will put Hattie on stand by, to air the beds.
Quick shop, then home with Dad for croissant lunch and coffee, at ours.
Too chilly to be out long.
