Oh I know all about Makaton Aidan, I used it when working with special needs children myself. Totally enjoying some veggie vegan breakfast. Lots of lovely green leaves.

Ever tried Tumbet? Me neither, but it looks scrummy. I'm sure everyone will love it, especially Toni and Kari. Here's the recipe. Sorry, but it has Aubergines again.

Ingredients 2 medium aubergines, cut into 1.5cm/?in rounds up to 200ml/7fl oz olive oil 2 medium courgettes, cut into 2cm/¾in slices 500g/1lb 2oz large waxy potatoes (such as Charlotte), thinly sliced (around 3mm/?in) 2 roasted red peppers (from a jar), cut into strips small bunch fresh oregano small bunch fresh basil For the sauce 2 tbsp olive oil 4 garlic cloves, crushed 400g/14oz ripe tomatoes, peeled and chopped 1 tsp dried thyme salt and freshly ground black pepper pinch sugar (optional) Recipe tips Method Preheat the oven to 200C/Fan 180C/Gas 6.

Arrange the aubergine slices on a large baking tray and brush with olive oil. Season with salt. Roast for 20–25 minutes, or until softened and lightly browned. Remove from the oven and allow to cool.

Pour a 5mm/¼in thick layer of olive oil in the base of a large, heavy-based frying pan. Fry the courgettes on a medium heat, for a couple of minutes on each side, then remove and drain onto kitchen towel. Season lightly with salt.

Add the potato slices to the frying pan and fry on both sides until they are softened all the way through and a very light golden colour around the edges. This will take up to 10 minutes. Drain on a plate lined with kitchen paper.

To make the sauce, put the olive oil in a saucepan and add the garlic. Cook for 3–4 minutes on a low–medium heat until soft and aromatic, then add the tomatoes and thyme. Season with salt and pepper.

Bring to the boil, then reduce the heat and cook gently, uncovered, until well reduced – around 25 minutes. Taste after 10 minutes – if the sauce tastes acidic, add a pinch of sugar.

    Reduce the oven to 180C/160C Fan/Gas 4.

To assemble, spread a couple of tablespoons of tomato sauce in the base of an oven dish. Sprinkle over some fresh oregano and basil leaves. Top with all the aubergines.

Add more tomato sauce, then sprinkle with more herbs and add the courgettes. Repeat with more tomato sauce, more herbs and the peppers, then finish with the last of the tomato sauce and herbs, and top with the potatoes.

Sprinkle over more salt and pepper and drizzle with a little more olive oil. Bake in the oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the potatoes are crisp and browned and the vegetables underneath are tender.

Recipe Tips Using fresh (rather than tinned) tomatoes really makes a difference here – it’s mellower and creamier.

Barbara, of course you can have custard on the lemon cake. Or cream. or butter, or ice cream - or all three.

It's really rather pleasant today. Sunny, no rain or wind, but still fairly cold. m0150 m0150 m0150

Afternoon to all, a day were we seem to have caught up a little.

We were out early ish, to Tesco, shopped, then fuel, then home, then lunch - enjoyed by all (Dad too) Croissants with cheese and mayo :)
Dad went on his way after a while, to watch the football.

My hair has been cut and I am now 20 years younger..............yes Aidan, of course you are dear :lol::lol: B didn't want or really need his cutting. He is busy with his decoupage orders.

I was going to iron some shirts, but I have lost the will. They will be there tomorrow.

Hi Kath, you will know Makaton very well, working with special needs children.
Glad you enjoyed the skillet breakfast :) We aim to please :D:D t115006

Tumbet, no, I cannot say I have, but I do love Aubergines. It looks lovely and will be a treat for supper - thank you kindly.

All three, cream, custard and ice cream for me, on the lemon cake. Just a little of each, oh and some clotted cream too.

We have had some rain today, none forecast, but it is very black over Pendle and misty too. Sleek and Mother gathered a trailer full this morning and took it to the Nymphs. They have sufficient moss, to weave into the magic squares, for the moment. t115006 t115006 Mother had her onsie on, I did assist her, like putting a sausage back into its skin   :lol:

It is quite mild, compared to last week. I think we are in for a wet week, after Monday............ t111055 t111055

Hi Joan and Sue - it will be a few days until the new tv is delivered, with all the "black Friday" shopping, deliveries are a little back logged, but will soon clear. Sometime this week it will be here. Delivery comp will let us know what day /time

We are toasty warm, I have the tumble dryer on, B is melting

Hi Toni, hope you and yours are doing ok, Lucy recovering well and no one else coming down with any lurgies t2507 Sleek said there were a lot of peeples about in her village.

Is it Elf week end, or does that not start until December? t4591

Hi Barbara How was your curry evening with friends? I hope it went well and you did not get in too late.
    Love to all t4591 t115006

Hi to Carol, I hope you are mending now, feeling better and more human again. Mr T as well, recovering from his ouchies. t115006 t4591

Hi to everyone else, in and about.

I am off for a potter, sort the drying. Just let me go fetch the cake I made earlier :? :?:lol:

Will catch up again later. Love and Sparkles to all t4591 t115006 XXX Aidan

Sorry to be late in

Lucy was on Elf duties today Paul and I were up and out early to run her over there. Then fed Charley's cat before we went to Broadway.

    www.broadway-cotswolds.co.uk/

Lots of 'different' shops I now have almost completed my Christmas shopping :)

Richer sounds is where I bought my humax years ago Aidan! as you can see I like to buy from small independent shops too.

Mother is quite right - Sleek said the meerkats can appear from nowhere bobbing up and looking at them while they are sleeping.

On the plus side they do love surrounding Mother while she tells them stories of days gone by....

Is she over the cattee yet? :? Sleek was also as high as a kite

Plenty of moss yes a whole trailer full the nymphs are very pleased. Lots of people here yes and lots of children...must remember Santa is coming past on 4th December. Sleek will be enchanted!!

    Lovely neighbours lovely pies!! YUM!!

    As for the champagne cake...…..taptaptaptaptap…..SPLATT!!

Booth on jet wash - with extra rinse I think :?

You are indeed 20 years younger

Kath I have copied the lemon cake recipe for me to try out on Kari. I have egg replacement vegan stuff :)

I think you should be very proud of Emily She proper takes after her Mum t4591

I also know Makaton and BSL...some similarities....I try to use it sometimes abroad when I can't say something

Hi Joan so poor Sue is waiting until January for her impressions? I am sorry about the missing posts...grrr!!!

Hi Barbara so Niamh sleeps until 9am!! That's great for a little one! Mine were always early risers until they got to about 12.....

Lucy Elf has indeed been working today helping Santa

The mixer does my kneading no way I could. My wrists hurt anyway without that!! Kari came for tea and had some soup and bread with us :)

I hope you enjoyed the curry and it was worth going out in the dark ((()))

Hello to Carol I hope all is well t4591

    Evening all
Where did the weekend go I ask I was last on here on Thursday and now in the blink of an eye it is Sunday. Help just under 2 weeks to get this knitting finished so many things going on at the moment I may have to end up buying the little ones something else. either that or knitting goes every where with me.

On Thursday I did my cards at the MS group and sold a few cards didn't sell anything Yesterday but made a few sales today I have made almost £40 over the three which has paid me back for the last order made. so I'm Happy. I have been well wrapped up with layers yesterday and today so have not been cold. weather has been pretty dismal but luckily no rain. My cough is almost gone it just has little moments every now and then. have booked another appointment with dentist on the 14th December to get the lower dentures adjusted. Mr T's ouchies after his fall seem to be improving I reckon he did some bad bruising. inside and out, but at least the grumps have improved.

Toni All is well with us So Lucy turns in to an elf at the weekend hope she is a good elf and not one of these naughty ones :lol: The Broadway looks lovely.

Kath I don't blame you keeping wrapped up with layers. it can be a bit chilly sometimes t110007 hope your not diving into too many damp leaves. not nice when they are damp. My daughter works in a special needs school and knows Makaton

Joan hope you and Sue are well wrapped up especially with heating not right again.

Aidan yes I am feeling a lot more human but shattered tonight after a few busy days. now starts the count down to our e night hotel stay to celebrate our gorgeous great grand daughters 2nd birthday 12days to go. although her birthday is not until December 12th her party is the Saturday before on the 8th

sorry if I have left any on out but I cannot remember all that I have read

its time for a potter now before I get set chair shaped t4591 t4591 & t115006 t115006 to all.

Hi to all, a chilly evening here, some sleet a little while ago t110007 t110007   There will be snow on top of Pendle in the morning I can bet.

Hi Toni, oh Broadway looks totally wonderful, the honey stone, shops etc etc t4591 t4591 Glad you had a lovely time, after dropping Lucy the Elf off, to look after the children :)

And nipping in to tend to Charley's puskin as well. You have had a busy day.

Christmas shopping almost done, way to go. Not even given it a thought here. :?  We tend to get vouchers for just about everyone, family wise, then presents for next door, something gorgeous of course t115006 t4591

I like Richer Sounds, glad you do too. The number of stores has increased a lot over the years, but they do have an excellent reputation and great customer service. Better than certain large electrical stores..............

Mother has to keep tabs on the Meerkats, they appear from nowhere, they do sit still when she is telling them of her time at Hogwarts as a junior student, 80 years ago........ :o t4591

She is coming down from her cattee morning, just the occasional shriek and mad moment   otherwise resting. She has been good the last day or so, letting Daddy get some rest, bless her little paws :animal_busy: t4591

Santa is on his way on the 4th, Sleek was telling Mother all about it, how pleased she is that Santa is coming to her village

You liked the champagne cake then :lol::lol: face plant special that one was.

    See, I said I was 20 years younger :lol::lol:

Hi there Carol So you have lost the week end as well, I think the two days are in the shed, along with all the other weeks and months

Knitting is on a tight deadline now.............I think carry it with you, into every room and wherever you go   :? :?

You have done well with the cards, that is good.

Glad you have been wrapped up well, no sneaky cold draughts wanted.
Sounds like your cold and cough are on the mend and Mr T is feeling better too. Less grumpy, that's good.

I see we are on countdown, now 11 days until you go to see your GGD on her second Birthday, is is really two years already, I can hardly believe it

I bet you are shattered after your busy days - can you have a more restful day today, obviously knitting constantly  :lol:

I had better be moving. We are up at silly o clock, to take the car to Preston for its service. They will drop us at the shopping centre so we can have a potter round. I hope they are not long, nothing worse than hanging about. There is a Costa, so at least we can get coffee, in fact there is every coffee shop you can think of.

Love and sparkles to one and all t4591 t115006 t115006 Everyone take lots of care XXXX Aidan

Carol well-done for covering your outgoings!! That's all you need to do although a little profit would be good too

I am glad you are well now and Mr T is so much better. I bet he was sore to be fair, but hood he is ok now :)

Little people are due birthdays soon that is good so is Lucy her 21st!!! Imagine when we weren't sure she'd her 17th :? . How lucky am I?!!

She is a good Elf honestly one of Santa's little helpers :)

I thought you'd love broadway Aidan! I had some FABULOUS coffees (decaf of course) all independent shops. Not a single Costa or heaven forbid a maccy D's in sight!!

Yes Christmas shopping almost done apart from vouchers and those who have money now. Older nieces and nephews.

Your lovely neighbours do deserve something lovely for Christmas for definite :) They are after all lovely.

If you work it out maybe Mother was at Hogwarts 80 years ago in cat years?? Sleek listens to the stories too. She said one of the Meerkats said he was coming back as a cat 'next time' :? Do they know something? t115006

Sleek 'cadores' Christmas as you know and is thinking of fetching Tommy over to see him?? If she does she ought to get Mother along to keep him in line

Richer sounds is always good on price. Unlike Currys which has almost the whole of the market on the high street.

    Yep 20 years younger. I only manage 10 :lol::lol:

Oh that champagne cake was to die for!!!!

Right off for my gingernut granola breakkie! Ta very muchly :)

A quick woo-oo! to Joan hope all is well? Tell Sue it was lovely of her to thank us but no need at all t4591

We had Saturday?really, can't remember. Probably spent too much time in heaps of leaves, or jumping out of trees. Yesterday I thought I'd broken my right ankle. I could hardly put my weight on that foot, or maybe that was Saturday. Seems OK today though.

Aren't we a clever lot, perhaps we should start posting in Makaton.

Aidan, that champagne cake was incredible, thank you. And the Ginger Nut Granola. Both look so beautiful, seems a shame to eat them - but I did.

This recipe isn't beautiful, but it's tasty and healthy.

    Fruity Protien Porridge:

50g gluten free rolled oats 100ml water 100ml of any vegan milk A pinch of salt 10g cacao butter drops 10g Pea Protein Powder Topping:

    10g flaked almonds 25g strawberries 25g blueberries 25g raspberries

Purchase Pulsin’ Pea Protein and Cacoa Butter Drops.

Cooking Instructions Add the gluten free oats, water and your chosen vegan milk to a pan. Cook over a medium heat, until warm, add the cacao butter drops and the pinch of salt. Once the porridge nears your desired consistency, take the pan off the heat and stir in the pea protein. If it is too thick add in an extra splash of your chosen vegan milk. Blend up the berries, transfer the porridge to a bowl and top with the blended berries and flaked almonds!

Just watched the weather for Wednesday and Thursday - yuk! Make sure you have your thermals and waterproofs on. Better still, STAY HOME. t110007 t111055

    Keep warm peeples. t4591 t4591 t4591 t4591 t4591

Just a quick HI to all, to let you know we are finally back from the car service and wander around the nearby shopping centre.

6 hours we were out all told - way too long really, we did some of the shops, including HobyCraft, of course :lol: Then Costa, for lunch, they have a new coffee blend, which they are asking peope if they would prefer it, I said yes, if it is rich and smooth, that's fine by me. It was lovely. As was the goats cheese and sweet roasted pepper sourdough toastie and Carrot cake to follow.

We were more than ready to get home, car all done, everything A OK it's a blessing, motability, no worries with servicing etc etc.

I was off into the shower asap, B had to have a cuppa, shopping put away, all sorts of "bits", Christmas Cards, bathroom essentials from WILKO, not been in there for years and years. Will be going again, I wanted EVERYTHING :lol:

Then had a big Hypo, so had to shovel chocolate in and sit and wait, whilst in a cold sweat, with BM down below 4   mine is supposed to be over 5 minimum.

    Better now.

Need sit down, then lay down and rest a while. I will write much more later. I am going to have some of that lovely porridge from Kath. Slow release carbs.

Catch up with you all later. Love and Sparkles to everyone t4591 t115006 XXX Aidan

Aidan I do think slow release carbs are for the best and hope you are all back to normal now? :?

Mother was on the crysal ball telling Sleek she needs Pepe's Drs kit. Sleek flew through the gate and delivered it. Luckily Tosca isn't quite as obtrusive as Pepe was t4591 t115006

I'm very glad to hear the car is all done and dusted and sounds like you have a good shop! Hobby craft and Wilko with costa thrown in! Perfect :)

Car all sorted and in mint condition again so all good :D

Hi Joan yes Lucy loves children and loves Christmas so she is very happy - if rather tired!

Glad you ankle is ok Kath, but how odd :? my left wrist is doing the same today (right slightly less so)...no chance of even pulling my kecks down for a wee or undoing the hooks on my bra  woe is me! I've done nothing I know if it started yesterday. Put splint on.

If it doesn't naff off I don't know how I will hold my music on Thursday :(

hang on a minute were you jumping in leaves???!!!!

we are a resourceful lot all able to do Makaton t4591

The porridge sounds delectable thank you very much :)

Barbara so Lucy is almost the same age as your eldest GD! That must have hit home when Lucy got ill then :? Luckily all is well now at least :)

Lucy Ef is back on form

Broadway is lovely isn't it? So pretty and lovely unique shops as you say we got loads of stuff :)

Finally a little time to catch up - today has taken it out of me to say the least, but I think we are up to date with things now. Car is good to go and be my legs - thank Heavens t4591

You are right Toni, I want to live in Broadway, immediately :lol: it is idyllic, coffee shops, independent ones, wonderful, like the ones we go to, they get to know you and look after you.................... t115006 t4591

We always get sometime gorgeous for our next door neighbours, we have been through thick and thin, for many years now. t4591

Yep, in puskin years, Mother was a junior scholar some 80 years ago, spells were from the ancient books, that are now stored in the library. An old school puskin wizard she is. Most respected, given her tender 90 human years. t115006 t115006 t115006

She was telling me of the meerkat wanted to come back as a cat next time. I did ask, she smiled and went back to sleep. t115006 She knows things, we don't know...................

Mother will be there, to keep Tommy in line, with her "looks" :? :?

Richer Sounds are very good, we had our first flat screen TV from them, many years back. Curry's do kind of take over the market, but their deals are not always what they seem.

I don't think I quite made it to 20 years younger :lol::lol: a month or so maybe

I thought you might like the Champagne Cake :D:D

Did you miss a post Barbara, don't worry - we all have those days where time vanishes.

Glad you enjoyed the curry night with your friends. Son being chauffeur for the evening and home by 9, so not too bad. We don't like being out at night, it makes me uneasy

I will have another two haircuts before Christmas, I only get to about 2 weeks and I am whining at B

It is the neighbours how have the new doggies, that have bought our tv and carpet vax and yes, she made the wonderful pie and casserole. They are lovely, well, all our neighbours are to be honest, which is always a good thing.

No, I cannot wait for our new tv and neighbours cannot wait to get ours :lol: the one we have now is curved, but the new one isn't. I like Samsung too and with a 6 year warranty, even better.

Good to hear that your sinuses are behaving, the AB's will certainly help a good deal.

Hope the follow up with the GP goes ok, no news about the spinal tap, that's ok, no rush :? :? :?

Now, Kath, where did you put Saturday, in the pile of leaves by the sound of things t120005

Are you sure your ankle is ok? We don't want any stress fractures - just being matronly that's all, take care XX I have swept the leaves up now, Silver, Mother and Sleek, think it best that we don't throw ourselves into leaves and climb trees now  :lol:

Glad you liked the cake and the granola, they did look too good to eat, but, needs must :lol::D:D

We have weather warnings for Wed Thur, high winds and lots of rain - at home days me thinks. Snug and warm, not drenched and blown over. t110007 t111055 t111055

Hi Joan and Sue, it was only a short lived sleet shower, thank goodness. Everywhere does look nice in the snow, but ninny walking is not easy :lol: and there is always one appointment or another, to get to and we are up in the woods here   :D

It is very frosty here tonight, noticed when we had a cig, that next doors roof is frosted over.

Hi Mig, I will give the sprout crisps a miss I think, they would be perfect for the brew though, or do you think it might be too much methane

Hi Toni, all things back to normal again. Sugar levels increased and felt better after half an hour or so. Mother was very shouty and had her blood sugar monitor primed and ready, thanks to Miss Sleek for hurrying it through the gate. t4591 t4591

Yes, car all good to go, what we would do without it I don't know. I always call her "my legs"

Hope you wrist is better soon, some extra magic squares on the way t115006 t115006

Managed to have a siesta, Mother went over to Sleeks, as all was quiet. They were online shopping at catazon

Quiet evening, recovering from our day.

Dad has his podiatry today, so we will take him to the surgery and have a coffee no doubt.

Eyes are blurring and I need yet another potter about, back is shouting, as it does

Found it Aidan, Saturday was just in the tree outside our garden gate. Two Blackbirds were roosting there. They are sheltering from the rain. r079.gif t110007

Hello Joan, no snow here thank goodness.

Toni I'm sorry to hear your wrist is playing up. My ankle comes and goes - the pain I mean.

mig. I've never tasted them, and I don't think I want to.. I'll stick to ready salted thank you very much.

    Vegan chocolate truffles
9 ounces vegan dark chocolate* (very finely chopped // 72% cacao or higher // 9 ounces is equal to ~1 1/4 cup)
7 Tbsp light (or full-fat) coconut milk (well shaken)
    1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa or cacao powder, or finely ground hazelnuts (optional // for coating)

Bet you can't eat them one at a time.

Afternoon to all, from the wettest Ribble Valley I can think of.   t111055 t111055 t111055 It is raining like stair rods and blowing a gale, weather warnings in place.

Hermione has closed the gates and requested that puskins remain safe, dry and warm, in their homes. Skype, Crystal ball and Catchat will be available 24 hours.

Mother is quite happy not to get drenched   t111055

Pendle has vanished into the clouds. Glad the window cleaner didn't call this morning :? :? :o

Hi Joan and Sue, hope you are keeping warm and dry, not a day for venturing out now, nor tomorrow by all accounts.
The car is probably in better shape than me, without a doubt :lol::lol:

Hi Kath, very glad you found Saturday, up the tree, it must have vanished up there as you jumped into the pile of leaves. It is WAY too wet now, it is like being in a washing machine here t111055 t111055 t111055

I am happy that we all agree on not eating sprout flavoured crisps - but, they will sell millions, people will say "oh let's try them" then throw them in the bin

Eating truffles, one at a time, no, sorry, that would be impossible. It is the law, that you have one in each side of your mouth :D:D:D:D t4591 Thank you kindly, I will eat as many as possible :lol:

Hi Toni, I hope your wrist is less painful today, keeping the splint on as required, some more ((())) and magic sparkles t115006 t115006
Sleek nipped over, just before Hermione closed the gates, they had some sweets and threw litter as far as possible   Mother was quite happy to watch a say yes to the dress, while we were out. Sleek was, as always, in awe, of the glitz and wonderfulness t115006 t115006

Hi to Barbara and Carol et al - time for pills already, so off I will potter.

The T room was delightful this morning, fortunately it was not raining then, but it was mighty cold, even walking 10 yards I was perished. t110007 t110007

I will pop back later, in the meantime, everyone take care, love and sparkles to all t4591 t115006 t115006 XXX Aidan

    Evening all

Just a quick look in to say hello wet and windy here today. Now its a busy couple of days its knitting group tomorrow after lunch Thursday evening is our church meal and Friday its our usual meal out with Mr T and then on to meet my friend for coffee and knitting. I now have one complete set hat and scarf done and half the other scarf and hat to do. hopefully that wont take long.

Aidan gingernut granola yummy Glad the car is up and ready to go. I did have a more restful day on Monday and today really. 10 days on countdown for our Rubies party on the 8 her birthday is actually the 12th but the place where we are it is only available on the Saturday. Mr T is better but I'm not so sure about less grumpy :D:lol:

Toni yes I was pleased that at least I covered my last outlay but as you say a profit would be nice. One trader off one of the stalls came in especially to see if I was there with the cards she remembered me from last time. which was rather nice.

Mr T is ok now but yes he was in a bit of pain.

Barbara I don't do speed knitting either normally but this was a last minute thing. as I did not know what the little ones liked as I have only met them once and that was only for about 20 mins when I was in Margate back in August. I think the dentist will just have to do a little adjustment to the teeth thats all.

    Love and sparkles to all t4591 t4591 t115006 t115006

    What a day!!

Still have men in and around the garden/house so struggling with that. Popped over to Kari’s with Lucy to see her DIL. As soon as we arrived thep hone went it was Tia’s fiancé. He had been doing a delivery in his truck (locally) when he got back the truck had been broken into and they had stolen his bag complete with wallet/driving license, (with address ) the sat-nav etc.

He rang work who looked into the depot car-park and his car was gone. Had to do a supersonic run to their house to make sure the thieves weren’t there using the doorkeys! Mainly to protect their two new kittens if I am honest.
    :?
All was well they weren’t there. The kittens were safe and sound. So rang for a locksmith to get locks changed and when Tia got home; sorted insurance for car then fetched courtesy car. What a day! :(

I am ready for my bed! But I still had a meeting to go to at Church for 7pm. Just in now at 21:41…sigh!

Are Sleek and Mother nipping Pepe’s Drs kit forwards and backwards through their gates to monitor their patients??!! Wrist is still sore, but the splint is helping no end I think. At least it’s stopping me making a wrong turn with it.

Promise to message properly tomorrow :D

    Love to everyone

Hi to all, finally the rain stopped and the winds abated - it was a wild afternoon.

It is forecast to be warmer today Barbara, high winds and rain coming up from the Azores t111055 t111055 t111055

Good that your GP is chasing up the appointment at the not so nice hospital :? :? We will be with you, have no worries about that. Toni has the cloak to hand at all times and if we forget, it comes along and picks us all up :) t4591

Parsnip chips are lovely, they do a mixed one with beetroot and carrot in as well, they are super moreish.
You are welcome to the Mushroom breakfast and the yummy fudge cake, we need things like that in winter time. The Goats cheese and sweet pepper whatsit at Costa was very nice. Coffee was much better too, the new blend.

Usually hair is cut every two weeks, if I moan and whine enough   :lol:

Oh I would be out day and night, not thinking a thing of it. Now, not a chance, we are super grumpy if we are out for too long. We are home birds now, nesting and pottering is my forte' t4591 :lol:

There are some, around about, (not near us) that are far from pleasant, take delight in moaning and groaning about everything and everybody - we have no time for that.

Have a lovely time putting the world to rights with your Niece and enjoy the meal at Harvester :) t4591 t115006

Hi Carol, you have the next few days all mapped out, pretty much none stop, sending some extra energy to keep you going t115006 t115006 Glad you have had a couple of more restful days, to charge the batteries a bit.

Glad the knitting is going well, countdown, are we at 9 days now, until you head off for the Birthday party :) t4591

So Mr T is better, but still grumps   - Silver is on the way to sprinkle some VERY sparkly glittery anti grump magic t115006 t115006

Hi Toni, goodness, what a day indeed

Talk about a dash, I bet your heart was in your mouth, with the vile people who broke into his van and took all his details, car, addresses, oh my days.
Car gone as well. People are rotten. I am glad the puskins were safe and the house had not been touched.
New locks, phew. But the upset of them having so many details, what a terrible worry.
Some ((())) and extra special t4591 t115006 for everyone. I hope they are caught.

I am not surprised your wrist is still sore. The splints do help, I keep mine close by, for times when support is needed.

Praying you have a better day today and that Tia and Fiance are ok and getting things sorted out. t4591 t4591

Hermione closed the gates due to the horrid weather, but they were nipping back and forth, before she announced that it was home time, or else   They had done a secret x ray - who knew they had x ray equipment

A quiet evening here, had a rest at siesta time, which was welcome, to ease the bones. Mother rested too, bless her paws.

At home day today, need a catch up on housey things, fussing and pottering.

Hi to everyone else, in and around about.

Time I was moving again, lest I set solid. Back is making its presence known   c'est la vie.

Love and Sparkles to one and all t4591 t115006 t115006 Take lots of care XXXXX Aidan

    Morning all!

Did an Aidan and couldn't sleep after yesterday  . Still the Church mugs are already washed in the dishwasher following the meeting last night. Kitchen sides all cleaned and that floor hoovered - no more as Lucy is in the basement underneath the rest of the house!

I have seen my 'notes' in Sleeks' paw-writing (signed off by Tosca) and I quote: 'X-ray of left poor. No brake noted. Suspect soft tishue injery/artheritus. Advize rest and splint'

You'll have to see if you can find yours

Our neighbours here are lovely!! I am so lucky really w had horrible ones at the end of our cul-de-sac at our old house and had to run the gauntlet o get in our out of the Rd :(

    Horrible.

I do not know what I would have done if the burglars were at the house you know! Probably still have gone in for the kittens

Hope your back is a bit easier this morning. Mind you they never are first thing!

Will have some choc fudge pie will need lots to eat today ;)

Hi Barbara glad the GP is chasing even if it is the not so nice Hospital. :?

Oooh! Enjoy your lunch out with your lovely niece today 40% off can't complain can you!!

Thank you Lucy has done really well, but you know I also admire Charley and Tia for keeping the home fires burning while I was super-busy. They were a great help and had to grow up FAST!

Carol how lovely to have a trader who sought you out! That's what you need 'regulars'!

Well done one complete set done and only one left to do!! Go you!!

You do have a few busy days ahead, but at least you can knit with your friend and at knitting group :)

I know what you mean Kath my wrist will go, but I've had it before so it will be back no doubt

Poor little birdies sheltering from the rain :( What a shame.

OMG!!! look at those truffles! I have filled my dressing gown pocket  thank you!

Lucy will be an Elf as much as she can around school work yes Joan until just after Christmas when they have a special 'Elves farewell' party!!

    Love to everyone

Afternoon to all, wet and wild today, Pendle has only just come into view

I forgot to leave breakfast out, but there was plenty of chocolate fudge cake, which can be eaten at any time of day :)

I am not surprised you didn't sleek after yesterdays events Toni. Getting on with immaculising, without disturbing Lucy, a good distraction.
How is Tia's fiance' I bet there is so much to sort out. t115006 t4591

No, don't think about burglars being at the house, makes my skin crawl. I would have saved the kittens though, clobbering said burglars with my crutches, pots pans, anything.

I have always said, they can take what they want, but hurt our puskins and I will hunt them down.

I did see the medical notes on the bed, earlier. Spynie ouchy cawzed by joynts cwumpling - kannot oppperwate so tayk pilllz

Having horrid neighbours just makes life miserable, been there and seen that and don't want to experience it again.

Don't let you dressing gown get too warm, with all those truffles, oh, not to worry, I see they have all gone, :lol::lol::D
Mother was chatting to Sleek and Mrs D this morning, so loudly that I was awake earlier than planned   The gates are still shut, while the weather warning is in place. Hermione is quite a fuss pot when it comes to bad weather and puskins up on the hills etc.

Hi Kath, sorry Beryl    Don't worry, I will have a cake due out of the kitchen any time now.

Love the picture of Grandad and one of his Sisters. A very smart Gentleman indeed :D:D:D
